WRT160N Downloads - no version 2 firmware or software upgrades?

I just purchased a WRT160N v2 router and have spoken with Linksys tech support on the phone.  It was suggested to try a firmware upgrade on the router ASAP, but:
When I go to the Linkys download page for the WRT160N https://www.linksysbycisco.com/CA/en/support/WRT160N/download
there is -NO- selection available in the dropdown list for version 2 (either version 1.0 or 3.0).
Can you give me a link to the downloads/firmware upgrades for the WRT160N v2? Thanks

Download Firmware 3.10 MB for WRT160N v2 routers on a computer wired to the router...
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...See if this fixes your problem...

  • Where to manually download older versions of firmware

Recently upgraded to 7.4.2 and have all kinds of issues. After reading through the many, many posts about bugs, I would love to downgrade to 7.4.1 or better yet 7.3.2. My TC is a year old but no older versions are listed in the Upgrade Firmware option in the Aiport Utility. I'm sure this is because I wiped the disk and started over - stuck with what it has on it now. Does Apple really not make older versions of firmware available for manual download? I have searched all over

    Give this a try.

  • 1.1.4 Firmware with Software Upgrade: Am I Jailbroken?

OK. So my Touch is now running 1.1.4 Firmware with the Software Upgrade. According to MacRumours, I am now jailbroken:
    http://www.macrumors.com/2008/02/26/apple-releases-firmware-1-1-4-for-iphone-and -ipod-touch/
Is this correct? And if so, does this mean I can run 3rd Party Apps NOW, without invalidating the warranty?

no you are not jailbroken. what i believe the article is saying is that if you were jailbroken prior to the update, you would then be 'un-jailbroken' after you updated. as for the third party apps, the article is speculating that this update will support third party apps....but we are not allowed to speculate in here...but i think that's what the article is saying

  • How can I download old versions of the Macromedia software?

    Hello again Jeff,
Now I need to reinstall my old Macromedia products (due to a Windows reinstall) and my old installation media (CD) doesn't work. I still have the original serials and I have found the new serials from your link: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/macromedia-legacy-activation-error.html for these products, but not the installers.
So could you please post a link to download these old products? I'm specifically looking for these products: Freehand MX, Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Fireworks MX 2004.
    Thanks.

Branched this out to a separate discussion.  For the Macromedia software it is not necessary to use a volume license version of the install files instead you would utilize the serial number in the documents you have referenced.
I am sorry Tbalint444444 but your current difficulties are due to you no longer having access to the installation media as opposed to the activation server being disabled.  There are no plans to make these older software titles available for download.
You may want to try looking at shopping sites were users are possibly trying to sell old copies of their installation media.  Please make sure to review their return policy though to help ensure you get the software you are looking for in good condition.

Of course I can't throw it away since I get a message it's part of the sytem. I can show package contents and throw those away, but evidently not a good idea!!

  • When downloading the latest version of Itunes, the software is not accessible anymore and needs re-installing. How do I prevent that when re-installing I will not loose the numbers stored on my harddisk?

When downloading the latest version of Itunes, the software is not accessible anymore and Itunes seems to need to be reinstalled. How do I ensure the Itunes music is not lost and my pc is still recognized by Itunes store?

Crikey. Okay, that's part of the Gracenote SDK (that iTunes uses to go online to get album and track information for imports).
Let's take the message at it's word. If the file is damaged, we may be able to get past this by removing it from the iTunes program files and then doing a repair install of iTunes.
In Computer, open Local Disk C:\ (or whichever drive you've got your program files installed on).
If you've got a 32-bit version of Vista, open the "Program Files" folder.
If you've got a 64-bit version of Vista, open the "Program files (x86)" folder.
    Open the "iTunes" folder.
Drag the gnsdk_sdkmanager.dll file out of the folder and onto your Desktop.
Restart the PC. Head into your Uninstall a Program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
Does the repair install go through properly? If so, can you launch iTunes now?

The latest iTunes which is 10.7 does indeed require Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer. What version of Mac OS X are you running and on what model Mac?

  • CURRENT Bluetooth Firmware and Software Version Listings

OK, I'm hoping there is someone out there that can provide me with what should be a relatively simple answer. My current machine is an iMac G5 1.8GHz. (Non-iSight), 2GB RAM, and 1TB hard disk running OS X 10.4.11
I'm curious to know what the current, up--to-date version listings should be for both the bluetooth software as well as the bluetooth firmware as displayed under "Bluetooth" in the System Profiler when selecting "About This Mac".
I've been experiencing some bluetooth "weirdness" lately and before I provide any additional information as to the exact problem, I'd like to know if the firmware and software versions are up-to-date first.
Apple doesn't seem to provide a chart to check against (unless I missed it), and other's on the forum have explained that those specs are "model-specific", making it a bit tricky. to determine. So that's why I listed my machine in hopes that someone can tell me what versions should be appearing.
    Thanks in advance!
    Ed M.

  • Modern firmware and software version not matching

Hi...I upgraded my software version to 5.0.1 and didn't upgrade the baseband. My current baseband is 2.10.04. Would this cause problems? I didn't update the firmware due to turbo issues.
Recently I'm having some problems of 'NO SIM CARD INSTALLED'. Does unmatching of firmware and software version have to do with this ?

Did you try the link provided in the post above yours? Sadly, from "Still can't seem to download any versions other than the latest", I cannot tell if you attempted that or not. There is also this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
