WRT160N Dropping signal when I connect.

Question

I have roughly 5-7 things utilizing the router but when ever I connect with my laptop all the devices lose internet for about 2 minutes but then all including my laptop work fine. This is very annoying because it happens whenever I take my laptop out of sleep mode.  II think it is a settings issue because I had this with another one and thought it was defective so I exchanged it for a new one. If anyone has any tips please send me a private message or reply to this thread.

It sounds as though you have confirmed the problem by turning off the sleep mode feature
I don't have a solution to offer specific to the 'sleep' problem -- but you might want to try using "Hibernate" instead of sleep - I believe it's recommended for laptop use
I don't know if it will help -- but it may be worth a try

Of all the power-saving states in Windows, hibernation uses the least amount of power. On a laptop, use hibernation when you know that you won't use your laptop for an extended period and won't have an opportunity to charge the battery during that time.
