WRT160N - Web Interface Shutdown Automatically

Hi guys,
I have a WRT160N modem. Its web interface, which is on 192.168.1.1, shutdown automatically after while. So, I cannot access to 192.168.1.1 after 3 or 4 hours of restarting my modem.
Also, there is another ocmputer in my home which disconnect automatically every 10 min. It is a new vaio laptop with a full update win vsita (I don't know about its ethernet card).
BTW, the firmware version of my rouret is: 1.53.0

You could try updating the firmware of your router.

When the planner selects the value from a variable in the web interface then automatically a planning function needs to be executed without pushing any push button.I do not use any planning folders as such.
Could some one tell me how to achieve this functionality.

Hi Subha,
You can assing default values to the Variables...Fiscal Year2008; Version100...etc. so that the user need not input all the variables.
I am not sure whether you can assign a function--"on selection" of variables. For better control It would be prudent to advise users to execute a function (if need be embed a SAVE function with in the sequence) on press of a button.

How To Run Planning sequences automatically a BPS 3.5 web interface

Hi all
We are using BI on version 7.0 (Netweaver 2004s) yet since other planning applications were used in BW-BPS we are still using it, anyway when creating planning folders I can set son sequences to run before layout display. In web interface (via BPS_WB) this option is not available as a standard.
I followed the steps from teh how to paper "How to run planning sequences on save and other events (WEB)" and even named my subcoponents as described in the document yet it doesnt work,
I already checked the source code for the sub class and names of the components. does anyone have an Idea of how can I make it work?

How to display web interface in full screen mode

Hi,
I would like to view my web interface in full screen mode in internet explorer. Is there anyway we can switch off the toolbars and URL automatically while calling the web interface

Hello SR,
I don't think it is possible to do this directly in the web interface. Otherwise many websites would change your browser settings.
It's possible to set the window properties, when the window is opened from JavaScript for example. So you could create a dummy start page and add some JavaScript to open a window for the web interface with the settings you require. Here's a good page that explains it:

File Sharing over web interface?

I am trying to figure out a solution.
We are an advertising agency that we need to transfter files between our studio and clients (which are mostly PC based and cannot connect to conventional ftp server) so we are looking at creating something like dropbox.com.
I don't mind to work over afp, smb, ftp or WebDav, but I need an nice enough interface and it's got to support OS X server's user/ permission ACL.
I know for calendars, Mac OS X server has built an web interface out-of-the-box, but how about file sharing over web?
Anyone sharing any thoughts?

As I said in my original post, I'm not using Firewire Target Disk mode because it requires a full shutdown of one of the computer (usually my laptop) each time I want to access files from the other computer.
I don't know about you, but usually I've got several things going at the same time on my computers and I'd rather not have to fully shut down the MacBook Pro several times a day.
ps - directing me to a different solution doesn't explain why things aren't working properly in the first place, but thanks anyway

Security when using EM web interface to administer the database

When I'm connecting to the database
via EM Database Control web interface,
it uses http protocol (http://machine:5500/em),
can it be used for safety https protocol,
or are there when using standard http protocol
at least passwords encrypted before
sending it over http?

I have called
'emctl secure dbconsole' command,
it run successfully,
but when I tried to start it
'emctl start dbconsole', it failed,
now I'm not able to stop it,
when I do so, the output is like this
'--- Failed to shutdown DBConsole Gracefully ---',
the state is 'not running', but when I try to
start it now it complains that EM Database Control
is already running.
What to do to make it work now at least without SSL?

Problem getting subsonic web interface to work

I posted this in the subsonic forums and have not received any reply.
I had Subsonic running nicely on Debian, but I have now switched my server OS to Arch. I installed the package in the AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35954), which is based on the standalone version of subsonic, but I have not been able to connect to the web interface once the server is started.
The variables in subsonic.sh look like this:

When I run the subsonic.sh script, I get this:

But 'lsof -i' shows no ports are actually open for subsonic and when I try to go to the server on port 4040 in a browser, it won't load the page. I can't access the web interface either on the server itself or on my laptop. I have also tried the secure port with no joy.
I have added 'java: ALL' and 'subsonic: ALL' lines to hosts.allow. Not sure whether or not this is necessary.

I don't see anything that looks like an error message in this.

What would help people to be able to suggestion useful solutions? Am I missing information?

Web interface upload/download?

Hi,
We need to have an area on our site for each of our customers to log in to their own area that they can upload files to us and download any files we have left for them. We have this all set up and it's fine with FTP, but more and more people seem to be allergic to using FTP software.
We'd like it to be a simple web interface like "YouSendIt" or something like that. Is there a way to enable this in SLS 10.6? If not, anybody know of a 3rd party solution that will work, free or paid?
We also need to have automatic notification when they have uploaded files, like an email to multiple people.

There's nothing built-in to Mac OS X Server that will do this, but you have options.
You could roll your own solution using PHP or other web-based scripting language. It may take some time, though, depending on available technical resources.
Alternatively you can look at third party solutions. Two that come to mind include Rumpus and CrushFTP.
Both support both FTP, SFTP and web-based uploads/downloads, with quotas, restrictions, notifications, etc.
CrushFTP's interface is textbook awful, though, so bear that in mind if your want a pretty GUI to manage the server.

Web Interfaces: BPS-Hierarchy: Collapse/ Expand all nodes

Saving Data in Web Interface

Hi Experts,
I have following problem, Please provide your inputs to solve this.
<b>Background Info:</b> We are using web interface ( web excel) for planning and we have fund center authorization variable and once user launches the interface and select fundcenter, the data appears and user goes on doing planning. We do have, running planning sequences on save functionality implimented and we are running global planning sequence having the functions which check automatically executed before saving of data.
<b>Issue:</b>When user is in fund center "A" and inputs in the layout some data and hits the save button and error is generated from the error function because of wrong data input and data is not saved into cube. It is fine to this point. Now user does not eixt the interface but navigates to other fund center i.e "B" and keys in data and hit the save button, no errors occur and data is saved. Here is the problem, at this point it is saving data of Both fundcenter A and B. We want to save only data of fundcenter B at this point. The error functions are running only on the fund center that user is selecting but I should be able to release the fund center A when user navigates away from it.
Any thought to solve my issue is appreciated with points and let me know if you need any additional details.

Marc >> I cannot run the planning function on all the fundcenters that user is authorized because more than one user is authorized for same fund center and locking is based on fundcenter. If I run the function for all the fund center that the user is authorized then he is going to create a lock on all fund centers and that results in locking issues. Please let me know if see any other solution to solve this issue.
In general, I will be ok even if user looses the data in buffer for fund center "A" when they navigate out of it when error occur but I should not be saving the data.

the web interface builder calls the web interface very similarly to an external browser. So if you HTTP and ICM setitngs are not correct (yet), the web interface can not be displayed in the builder.

Filtering by Keyfigure in web interface

I would like to add a radiobutton/variable in web interface, when clicked - that would have to filter out the keyfigures that are 0 and provides the list of characteristics that have non-zero in the layout. Any ideas on how this can be implemented? ( I do not want to delete those records, since they will have to be used in the calculations/copy functions, but will have to filtered out for just display).

My scenario is to list out all the PO's for a specific marketing brand. The screen is used by users to enter '% complete' by PO( this is used to accrue amounts and to calculate their forecast automatically). The need for the 'push button' is to filter the PO's that have 0 balance. ( Sometimes , users may want to enter % complete on the 0 balance POs as well).
The "transaction data" will have all the PO's - with 0 balance as well and I need these POs to calculate the forecast, however , I do want to give the users flexibility not to list them in the screen.

Tough Decision: Gmail Web Interface or Gmail Via Pop Using Mac Mail

Thought I would open a discussion about this since I have been having a tough time making a decision. I love using Gmail's web interface but hate losing the integration with Mac OS. I forward all my email from different providers to my Gmail so I can access all my email from any computer. This is very handy for me.
I have tried using the mail app to access gmail via pop, but one thing I hate is when I reply to an email from a different provider than gmail it will use the gmail reply address. Gmail's web interface will use the account that the email was sent to as the reply address automatically.
I am almost certain that others are in the same quandry as I am. If so, what is your solution?

You can enter the email addresses for your other providers in Mail and have them show up in a pop-up menu when you compose new mail; then you can select which address to use as the outgoing mail address.
Go to Mail->Preferences->Accounts, and undeer the Account Information, look for the Email Address field (below the Description filed). Enter your other email addresses in there, separated by commas, then close the Preferences and Save the changes.
Now create a new email and the pop-up menu should let you choose which email address will show up on the email.

Correct password doesn't work with Mail interface, but works with web interface.

Mail claims "The POP server “mail.nykayak.com” rejected the password for user “valerie”, yet when I log in through the web interface the password works. All other accounts work. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?

On your iMac G3, go to the AirPort menu and select the network name. It will prompt you automatically for the correct type of wireless encryption password.
I wouldn't trust selecting an option from Internet Connect.
In AirPort Admin Utility, what type of wireless encryption have you enabled? If it is WPA2 the iMac G3 won't be able to connect.
Also ensure that your AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) is configured to work in an 802.11b compatible mode. The iMac G3 is only 802.11b.

BPS - web Interfaces

1)I am using a characteristic in my header level restricetd by a variable. The variable is set to one value. The layout works fine in the planning folder but when I try to see it in the web it gives the error "Header characteristic not restricted".
2)When I change a layout, does the web interface gets updated automatically or do I need to generate it again.

1)I am using the same variable.
It is for the characteristic 'Sales District'. The values for the same being -North, South, East & West.
And I had selected North in the set variable option.
The planning folder works fine with it without any errors. I am able to see to data for the North.
But in the web it gives an error and in the variable dropdown I get in one line '#...West'. Instead of showing North as a value.
2)Is there a guide for Formulas besides the How To papers available on Service.sap.com. The site has only one document for formulas which is "How to loop over reference data in FOX Formulas".
