Wrt160nl Management via HTTPS

Hi ,
I have an issue with new Win8 & IE10.
When I try to access web management interface of my wrt160nl (Firmware Version: 1.00.01 B15) via HTTPS I'm receiving the foolowing message:
"Continue to this website (not recommended)."
If I click on it another error page appears:
"Certification error: Navigation blocked.
There is a problem with this website's security certificate"
At the same time I'm able to acccess the management interface via HTTPS, but from my laptop with Win7 & IE9. There if I click on the red Certificate Error > View certificate and the certificate information is:
Issued by: Linksys
Issued to: Linksys
Valid from : 1.1.2009 to 1.1.2010
 So I'd like to know if I could update the router certificate or what settings should I use in IE10 in order to access the web management interface via HTTPS?
BR,
Krass

You can try these steps. I found a workaround that might help you with the issue you are having since users who tried it reported that it worked for them.
Try viewing https://192.168.1.1 in Compatibility View.
Note: Not all website display problems are caused by browser incompatibility. Interrupted Internet connections, heavy traffic, or problems with the website can also affect how a webpage is displayed.
Open IE.
Press ALT+T keys, to launch “Tools” drop down menu.
In the “Tools” menu, select “Compatibility View Settings” option.
In the “Compatibility View” window, add the name of the site (with which you are facing the issue) and then check.

  • Logging into access manager via http arguments

    HI ,
    I am looking to login into the access manager through some web applett, its like i want to pass my username and password in the form of arguments to the login url. I inted to do it for passing passwords between servers ( details are insignificant) . To explain more , i used to do this on oracle identtity server.
    i Launched explorer with the arguments
    iexplore <oracle IM URI>?username=xxx&pass=yyy
    as a result i used to log in to the server.
    the reason was oracle IM URI is a java applett that accepts username and password as html parameters.
    My question is :
    Is there any similar applett for access manager?
    Any suggestions of what alternatives i can use ? i dont want to use the java API ,
    regards
    kimi

    You can use so called zero-page login with AM auth-service.
    However is only allowed with HTTP-POSTs and not HTTP-GETs.
    This is for serucity reasons, if GETs could be used username and passwords would be logged by systems in their log files (proxies, deployment-container).

  • Sending UTF-8 data via http post

    Hello,
    I'm generating an xml to be sent via http post method. Before sending, I'd like to convert it to utf-8, but Oracle converts it to utf-16, no matter what I do.
    This is what I send with utl_http.write_text:
       convert(l_clob,'AL32UTF8')...but I see utf-16 encoded output on the server side.
    NLS_RDBMS_VERSION is 10.2.0.1.0
    NLS_CHARACTERSET is EE8ISO8859P2
    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET is AL16UTF16
    But I do not use NCHAR variables.
    Is http post considered like exporting, where the os's NLS_LANG is important?
    Earlier, I managed to save utf-8 xml-files without setting any NLS% params. It was with:
            UTL_FILE.PUT_RAW(
                file   => file_handle,
                buffer => UTL_RAW.CONVERT(utl_raw.cast_to_raw(buffer),
                                          'AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8',
                                          'AMERICAN_AMERICA.'||charset
              );But this does not seem to work here, since I have to send 'text/xml'...
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Laszlo

    Not really the correct forum.. The methods you are using are more a PL/SQL issue than an XML DB issue. In general Oracle will convert the response into the character set requested by the client, are you sure your client is not requesting UTF-16.

  • Why I can't connect to Oracle Enterprise Manager via browser after install?

    I've installed Oracle9iAS Release2(9.0.2) with Windows 2000 server (servicepack3) and Oracle9i database on the same host.After installation, I can use Oracle enterprise manager(via browser) by connect as "ias_admin" and "12345" for password (It's a password that I input at installing). But 2 days later, I cannot connect it!, what's happen to my 9iAS. I try to change my password in command line by "emctl set password <old_pwd> <new_pwd>, But I've got a message that is incorrect password. By the way, I use command line to start OC4J and HTTP Server instead. Please help me for this problem. Thank you very much.
    Ps. I've got this problem for 2 time, but the first time I delete all of oracle products and install it again .

    If you have installed the Oracle AS 10.1.3 using an Apache in front the default port is 7777 as far as I know.
    You wrote that the main page is accessible, that's why I would suspect that you might have a problem with your hostname. Are you accessing the mainpage via the full qualified hostname or via ip?
    Please ensure that you can reach the server using the full qualified hostname!
    If you are not sure about it, add an entry to your local hosts-file.
    Please tell us if this was your problem!

  • Disabling Management via Wireless - is there any point?

    Hey guys.
    Firstly, yes, I do know that allowing management of controllers over an unsecured WLAN is a bad idea (although even that would be SSL-secured by default, but open to brute-forcing I'd guess).
    Secondly, let's assume that Management via Dynamic Interfaces is disabled too (why anyone would want to enable that is a bit beyond me too?).
    This 1 little tickbox manages to justify an entire page in the GUI, so it definitely looks pretty darn important!
    The problem is that in a multi-controller environment the only controller that knows you're connecting over wireless is the one that you're connecting through. Any other controller will be happy to accept the management connection on it's management interface address because it sees it as coming from the wired network. To prevent this from happening I think you could do either of two things...
    1) Apply a CPU ACL that blocks the client IP ranges, which will work equally well for wireless and wired-side connections, i.e. it's the equivalent of the "management via wireless" setting but works for all controllers simultaneously. You'd have to remember to keep this updated though if ever your WLANs and client ranges change.
    2) Put the management interfaces of all controllers in an isolated management VLAN (which will potentially complicate all your supporting services access, e.g. DHCP/RADIUS/etc.). That'll stop the undesirable "wired" access on the n-1 controllers and then the mgmt-via-wireless will take care of the wireless access to the other 1 controller.
    So the setting seems rather pointless on it's own in anything other than in a single-controller environment. I'm sure I've read somewhere that the controllers do tell each other about their current clients (for things like CCKM and rogue management), so wouldn't it be cool if this centralised awareness logic was applied to management connections?
    What are the experiences out there with this feature? Is it generally seen as worthwhile, or does it really need some extra planning and possible augmentation via other features to be of any value?
    In general, other than popular paranoia about wireless being "less secure" than wired access, what are the compelling reasons for denying management via wireless? As I mentioned above, even over a completely non-secured WLAN you'd still have SSL/SSH security if you configure your allowed management protocols right.
    Thanks,
    Justin

    Yes "It makes the auditors happy" is definitely a good and valid reason.
    I've just co-incidentally come across this in the 5.0.148 release notes:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn501480.html#wp234100
    "Preventing Clients from Accessing the Management Network on a Controller
    To prevent or block a wired or wireless client from accessing the management network on a controller (from the wireless client dynamic interface or VLAN), the network administrator should ensure that there is no route through which to reach the controller from the dynamic interface or use a firewall between the client dynamic interface and the management network."
    That makes sense, but do many folks out there do it that way? Generally there's not much control between the management VLAN and the users' VLAN because the latter is usually where the wireless-supporting services reside.

  • Call secure RestFul WebService with basic authorization via https

    Hi,
    is there a way to call a secure RestFul WebService with basic authorization via https from APEX?
    Database: Oracle 11g XE
    APEX: 4.2.1
    I have a solution by calling the WebService from Java which was called from the database via scheduled job (execute).
    As my hosting partner does not support Java I am looking for another option.

    Hi,
    I think its not possible, in this link you can find in more detail why.
    Its related with the use of wallets to acess https requests.

  • Error in Interface for management of HTTP destinations

    Hello Experts,
    I've go the following error when i'm trying to create a logical port in SOA Manager.
    'Error in Interface for management of HTTP destinations'.
    I was trying to create a logical port of type WSDL for a consumer proxy, with a URL provided by the EP consultant.
    Kindly let me know how can i rectify the above stated error.

    Hi
    Did you try creating the connection via sm59 (RFC Destination), then try to assign it (instead of direct URL call, specify the RFC destination). That way, you can trace the RFC destination.

  • WLC Captive Portal not loading images or via HTTP correctly

    Hi All,
    I have a strange issue I'm hoping someone can shed some light on.
    I have a CT2504 at a customer site which does not load the captive portal page correctly nor will it load via HTTP as opposed to HTTPS.
    So for starters I did what I do with all my CT2504's (which work fine), I configured my Guest network to authenticate via the default captive portal. I then disabled HTTPS and SSH and enabled HTTP managment followed by rebooting the controller.
    On boot, logging into the WLC management GUI is automatically presented via HTTP as expected.
    However when clients access the Guest network they are redirected to the Web Authorisation via HTTPS instead of HTTP, any ideas?
    In addtion to the above the captive portal page does not display correctly.
    The preview via the controller works fine, but the client is presented with a page with broken links to the images i.e. the blue strip at the top and the Cisco logo on the right, any clue what's happening here?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Gary

    Thanks Gray. I am glad it worked.

  • Cannot enroll devices to Afaria via HTTPS relay

    Hello,
    I have read a lot on these forums, about these problems, but cannot find the resolution.
    Relay server seems to work, I have 5 RSOenablers (afaria,CA,IOS,Enrollment,Package). I also have configured RS on a relay server as a service, it looks like relaying is OK.
    I have a problem enrolling any device (iOS or Android). with iOS I get to the profile installation, SCEP is managed OK, but when it should proceed it just hangs...the same is with Android. I open the Afaria app and enter the enrollment code. The enrollment code is accepted and the client starts to connect via https than hangs.
    I have tried various things that I have found on the forum, and I am not sure what is correct and what is not. What certificates exactly do I need on Enrollment server (iphoneserver installation)? Is this the certificate with FQDN of Afaria server or FQDN of relay server? Which certificate do I have to use for "Device communication" page in Afaria? I am a little confused and am not sure how this should be installed...haven`t found any instructions.
    I am sending you the logs of Android connection, I hope you can see something. I can see that there is an error at enrollment server connection (EV-Afaria-Aips) and the webpage returns 403 Forbidden...
    I also get the error in Afaria logs:
    XRS1391: Unable to establish SSL Connection with client at IP address 192.168.253.79.  EXPLANATION: A Client requested a SSL or HTTPS connection on this server, but the SSL handshake could not be completed. (Failing function: ASSLSocket::Init.  Return code: 5.)
    I am attaching the logs.Probably this is something with certificates.
    Thank you very much!
    Rok

    Hello Rok,
    Can you let us know your Afaria Version?
    Looks like issue with SSL cert configuration. Have you validated your SSL configuration?
    1. SSL cert need to be installed/configured on Relay Server
    2. Same cert has to be imported into Personal and Trusted store of Afaria Server.
    3. Reinstall Enrollment Server component and select this cert while setup.
    4. See if you can launch Relay server status page with https without any certificate error.
    Also let me know if you have checked 'Use https for Relay server connections' in Enrollment component page. If it is checked, then uncheck it and then try connecting.
    Thanks,

  • How to seeting locale identifier via http (msmdpump.dll)

    Hello all!
    I need to set the locale identifier via http. Is there a way to config the connection string for the msmdpump.dll?
    Unfortunately I need to access the analysis services with java. So the connect has to use the msmdpump.dll.
    Does anybody know a way to config the locale identifier in the msmdpump.ini? Or maybe via url parameter like "http://srv/olap/msmdpump.dll?Locale Identifier=1033"
    Any ideas are very welcome ;-)
    Andreas

    If you are doing RAW XMLA to msmdpump.dll it is a multi-step process.
    You have to create a session passing in the locale as a property
    eg.
    <Envelope xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
      <Header>
        <BeginSession soap:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-analysis" />
        <Version Sequence="400" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine/2" /><NamespaceCompatibility xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/xmla" mustUnderstand="0"/></Header>
      <Body>
        <Execute xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-analysis">
          <Command>
            <Statement />
          </Command>
          <Properties>
            <PropertyList>
              <Timeout>0</Timeout>
              <SspropInitAppName>Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio - Query</SspropInitAppName>
              <LocaleIdentifier>3081</LocaleIdentifier>
              <ClientProcessID>1604</ClientProcessID>
              <DataSourceInfo />
            </PropertyList>
          </Properties>
        </Execute>
      </Body>
    </Envelope>
    In the response you should get a guid for the session. I do not think that can just specify the Locale in the properties of a request - I think you'll find that the locale for a request needs to match the setting on the session.
    Then in subsequent requests (such as the following MDSCHEMA_CUBES request) you need to pass the session id in the header
    <Envelope xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
      <Header>
        <XA:Session soap:mustUnderstand="1" SessionId="87D9F3F3-610E-4C4B-B473-828C02D72561" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:XA="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-analysis" />
      </Header>
      <Body>
        <Discover xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-analysis">
          <RequestType>MDSCHEMA_CUBES</RequestType>
          <Restrictions>
            <RestrictionList>
              <CUBE_SOURCE>3</CUBE_SOURCE>
            </RestrictionList>
          </Restrictions>

            <PropertyList>
              <Timeout>0</Timeout>

              <LocaleIdentifier>3081</LocaleIdentifier>
              <ClientProcessID>1604</ClientProcessID>
              <DataSourceInfo />

  • EEM - puts action fails in EEM applet/script when called via HTTP

    I have an EEM script which produces some diagnostic output.  The script is written to be initiated by "event manager run" and is running in sync mode.  Script uses "puts" into stdout to produce the output.  Everything is working fine, except when script is initiated via HTTP/HTTPS I get no output.
    To reproduce the issue I have created the following applet:
    event manager applet TEST1
    event none sync yes
    action 1 puts nonewline "SOMETEXT"
    Here is output from command line (tested from console and telnet):
    router#event manager run TEST1
    SOMETEXT
    router#
    When applet is called via HTTP using http://router/level/15/exec/-/event/manager/run/TEST1/CR URL the output is empty.  The test message goes to the console versus to HTTP reply.
    So it looks like the stdout is not redirected to HTTP session successfully.
    Any advice on why it is happening, or better yet how to fix it would be apprecaited.

    Thank you.  This is also what I was thinking.  As you probably already know I have opened a TAC case on the matter.

  • Running via https and/or http ?

    Hi all,
    The applications you are all working on, do you run them in a secure link? I have just read that Oracle recommends running Apex app's using https which is definitely what I need to do for most of my pages. Is that possible with the embedded webserver or will I need to configure a separate webserver? Is it straightforward/recommended to run some pages via http and others via https?
    I'm using 11g and 3.2.
    regards,
    Malcolm.

    This in the online help:
    "Utilizing Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
    Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a protocol for managing the security of data transmitted on the Internet. For Web applications, SSL is implemented by using the HTTPS protocol. Oracle recommends that you run Oracle Application Express applications using SSL (HTTPS protocol) to prevent any sensitive data from being sent over an unencrypted (cleartext) communication channel."
    but I suppose you could read that as only applying to pages containing sensitive data, as anyone would recommend.
    Thanks Andrew - you've answered my question that it is possible to use the embedded/bundled server to switch from http to https depending on the page ID, that's what I want to do. It's a public facing app. yes, and will contain some pages of sensitive data that the users would expect to use via a secure link.

  • Clients can only reach profile manager via ip address

    I have been going through the process of setting up an OS X Mountain Lion Server. When trying to access the profile manger via http://servername.domain.private/mydevices within the internal network this can not be found. If I use the ipnumber i can reach the profile manager.
    I'm sure this is something to do with DNS and DHCP is being provided by a Netgear router.
    Any help would be much appreciated!

    All working now...
    Primary DNS router entry as the server. Then tested external access to the internet with:
    Only a Google DNS entry configured as sencondary on the router
    Then only with the Google DNS entries configured as additional DNS servers in the forwarders section on the server itself.
    Both times clients and devices could access the internet as well as internal addresses provided by the server. Moving forward to ensure redundancy if server is not available I have left both of the external DNS configurations above applied.
    Great support on here... thanks!

  • Using ADFS authentication to perform SSO via HTTP GET request

    Hi,
    Can i authenticate users (those users are clients, at home) to a web application using ADFS without SAML tokens?
    The situation is that i want the clients to perform SSO to the website via a link they receive in their mailboxes.
    I thought about a solution that combines JWT in a URL link that each user will get to his private mail. this link will contain the users' claim (such as ID Num, given from AD DS Server dedicated especially for them).
    Thus, the user will receive an email with a link that already contains a short period of time JWT to perform SSO to the webapp.
    Is it possible ? anybody heard about a similar solution ?

    Sandra
    Thanks for your message
    Here is the my requirment
    The basic flow of a Where 2 Get It REST API call is:
    1) create the required XML structure,
    2) URI encode it,
    3) make a HTTP GET request,
    4) then parse the return XML document.
    Currently i have some data in ABAP structure with 5 fields, i need to create XML from the those 5 fields,and needs to be URI
    encode it, and then needs to make a HTTP get request to connect Where to Get It REST API, finally it will return XML document via HTTP Get request , and then needs to convert the return XML to  ABAP structure for further processing .the above 4 points will be implemented in my report.

  • Try expose svn via http, but Location directive does not work.

    Hello everyone,
    I used svn exposed via http in OSX 10.6 and 10.7 using collabnet.
    Now I take OSX server 10.8 and installed svn inside XCode.
    SVN is correctly installed, apache respond to default site.
    I copied the modules dav_svn_module and authz_svn_module compiled on my machine with same svn version of XCode [version 1.6.18 (r1303927)] .
    I created a file into /etc/apache2/other called svn.conf that contain follow code:
    LoadModule dav_svn_module libexec/apache2/mod_dav_svn.so
    LoadModule authz_svn_module libexec/apache2/mod_authz_svn.so
    <Location /repo>
      DAV svn
      SVNPath '/Volumes/VMware HD/svn/repository'
    </Location>
    Checking if module are loaded with sudo apachectl -t -D DUMP_MODULES i obtain:
    Loaded Modules:
    dav_svn_module (shared)
    authz_svn_module (shared)
    Syntax OK
    So file svn.conf is loaded and the module too.
    When I try to check via browser with http://localhost/repo I obtain in /var/log/apache2/error_log the following error:
    [Wed Feb 13 12:41:12 2013] [error] [client 192.168.1.114] File does not exist: /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/repo
    Is Location directive failing?!
    How can I expose the right repository location instead of default site?

    Oeren,
    I stumbled across this little tidbit buried in the BI Publisher forum: Dynamic Images in rtf
    Glad you are up and running!
