WRT160Nv2: no internet after upgrade to 2.0.03 build 007

hi,
Recently I've expanded my home-network (2 wireless netbooks) with 2 wired pc's. Since then, the internet connection sometimes fails. Vista (on one of the wired pc's) reports it cannot reach the dns-server. I was using a WRT160N v2, firmware 2.0.02 build 011.
Linksys offers a newer version of the firmware: 2.0.03.007.
I've tried to upgrade the firmware a few times. The upgrade seems to happen without any problems. Every time, the connection between the pc and the router returns, but the connection between the router and internet fails.
I've tried hard-resetting the router, turning the router on and of, but the internetconnection doesn't return.
A downgrade from 2.0.03.007 to 2.0.02.011 solves the problem with the internetconnection, but the dns-issue returns...
Anyone with the same experience? Any thoughts? Thnx,

Thanks for your reaction. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, but the router is up and running again, after the downgrade (although the internet connection is sometimes intermitted, as described before)..
It's just that I would like to upgrade, to maybe solve the intermitted internet connection, only thing is that after an upgrade, there is no internet connection at all..
I've entered all the settings, even loaded a previously saved config-file, but no luck...

ok here is the issue.
After i upgraded the IOS to IOS 6.1.2 I'm not able to use mobile internet as i have a data sim card.
As the settings provided by the service provider are not compatible with IOS 6.1.2 and the service provider cannot do anything about it, as it's something that has to be ressolved by apple.

You can also try to install the older version in compatible mode:
Windows 8.1 Wifi showing "limited" or "No Internet Access"
Solution: revert your network adapter driver back to an older version

In addition, disable power management on your network driver:
Open Network and Sharing Center.
Click the Change adapter settings link in the upper left of the navigation pane.
Right click the network connection you want to enable/disable power management support on and click Properties .
Click Configure .
On the Power Management tab, clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.

HP Media Center PC m1050e - Can't connect to internet after upgrade from XP to Windows 7

My desktop PC with Windows 7 will not connect to the internet after upgrading from XP to Windows 7 Home Premium. This upgrade actually required saving files and a fresh install of Windows 7. When getting Router support help to load a new driver, I keep getting a an error message "Realtek Network Contoller Was Not Found". They say it's an issue that HP will need to help resolve. Can anyone help?

New MBA extremely slow internet after upgrading to 10.6.7

Hey Folks, I have updating my brand new MBA to 10.6.7 and my internet is now extremely slow through the airpot. All of my other macs are running 10.6.6 and are very fast. Im using a new Airport Extreme base station, does anyone have any idea on how to fix this. LIke I mean its extremely slow online.

I'd like to confirm a few things:
What action/activity are you performing in Acrobat when it crashes?
Is the crash consistent at the same point?
You stated in the subject '..after upgrading to 10.6.7'
What OS was on your iMac when you purchased it?
Was this problem occuring when using an earlier verion of 10.6.x?
Have you applied to font update Apple released to address some of the problems they introduced with 10.6.7?
Did you perform a clean install of Acrobat on your iMac after you purchased it or was the application transferred in some way?

Can't connect to internet after upgrading to 9.2 in windows7

After upgrading to itunes9.2, internet connectivity is lost. I must do a system restore to recover. I get an ip stack error of some kind. I would stay in itunes9.1 except that I have an Iphone 4 coming. any suggestions?

Painfully slow internet after upgrading to Snow Leopard

hi all, i recently upgraded to Slow leopard.
My internet has soon become painfully slow, taking (literally) minutes to load pages. I have checked my modem & router, they seem to be fine as my iPhone & Vista laptop run perfectly on the same network.
does anybody know what this could be?

If you have not done so since upgrading to Snow Leopard, you should run Disk Utility and use +Repair Disk Permissions+.
Have you used Software Update to apply Apple's latest updates after upgrading to Snow Leopard. If there are updates, you should run it a second time to ensure there were no dependent updates.
As a test, you can create a new admin user account in System Preferences Accounts pane.

Log out and log in to the new account. Try the things that caused the problems. Is it fast in the new account, or is it the same? If it is fast, then the cause is likely to be in your normal user account. If it is the same, then the cause is likely to be with the overall system (the OS).
You can also try doing a Safe Mode startup

This will do some maintenance during startup and also load only Apple's essential system extensions and processes. Any third party software you have installed will not automatically run. Check the performance while in safe mode, and if there is improvement, restart normally to see if the problem comes back or not.

Unable to browse Internet after upgrading to IOS 6

After upgrading to IOS 6 (6.0.1), I have this strange issue.
My iPhone suddenly after every alternative day stops browsing Internet. It connects to wireless succesfully but fails to browse Internet.
I need to reset my network setting and reconnect to the network. But this is annoying any suggestions

Does your phone receive a valid ip address from your router?
Does it work fine when connected to other wifi networks? If so, then I'd say your router is the culprit.

Airport Connected, No Internet after upgrade

This is just an FYI incase you're experiencing a similar problem after upgrading to 10.6.
Both at home and on campus my computer would connect to the wireless network, however I would not be able to actually get online, Safari would say "you're not connected to the internet." Extremely frustrating experience considering that I could DHCP an address and everything seemed to be working properly. I was sure all of these networks were working too because my iPod Touch would allow me internet access.
Using my ethernet connection at home, I browsed around and found the quick solution. Go into System Preferences > Network and create a new location (restoring all the default settings basically). This fixed the problem, and reverting back to the "automatic" location cause it to recur. Unsatisfied with simply fixing the problem I compared the default settings to my own custom settings and found that there was only one real difference - I had manually specified a DNS server some time ago in 10.5. Upon its removal, my original configuration started working again.
Perhaps it's because this was a carryover from the old 10.5 system and the new one didn't like it - but who knows. I never tried just entering an IP address into an address bar or FTP client so maybe that would have worked and all it was was a DNS issue. Hopefully, this post will save some fellow like me a couple hours of head scratching!

Upgraded my firmware on my E2000, Internet no longer works, and @officiallinksys wants $30 to fix their lousy product. Can you say scam?

I believe after the product will be out of warranty they do offer programs that would let you extend the service of your router. Regarding your concern, you may need to reset your router and reconfigure it's settings. A reset is a must after every after upgrade. Push and hold the reset button using a pin or paper clip for 30seconds then power it off for another 10-15 seconds. Once the power light goes solid, you may start the reconfiguration. For further info on how to reconfigure the settings, you may refer to these links: Setting up a Linksys router with Cable Internet service and Setting up a Linksys router for DSL Internet connection.

Have you reset Safari? Yet? Top left corner of the screen next to the apple logo click on the word Safari, then click reset safari, make sure everything is checked then click reset. Also try:
Repair your permissions. Go to applications then to the "other" folder then go to disk utility, on the left hand side you will see a white box. Select the second option, usually called "mac HD" with that selected click on "repair permissions" in the center towards the bottom of the screen. Wait for it to complete, then see if this fixes the issue.

Strong wifi connection but cannot connect to Internet after upgrade to ios5

After upgrade to ios 5, my iPad 2 connect to the wireless router just fine. However, it take forever to connect to a website. Following suggestion from someone, I switch my router off then on, it work. But after a day, the problem came back. Switch off and on the router solve the problem again..
This connection problem appear periodically since, it is very annoying.

I have a new iMac and connect to internet with a data card (modem) Huawei E303.
It worked fine until after the upgrade from 10.7.4 to 10.7.5.
Now I can connect but there is no measurable signal. Other computers work using the same data card.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Completely lost internet after upgrade over 10.7.4, Mac Mini

Hi Everyone,
I've upgraded from 10.7.4 on a Mac Mini bought late last year i5 2.3 GHz, 500GB HDD to 10.8.2.
I've now completely lost the internet.
My FreeNAS box started disconnecting intermitently and today, after a reboot, I cannot connect to the internet.
I've tried turning everything off, pluging the mac directly into the router, uninstalled tons of software, checked the console error logs, checked a few things via terminal and connect find any logical explanation. I've even swapped routers and cables with known working devices in the household.
At one point, I had two mobile accounts set on my home network with Windows Home Server 2008 R2 but these were not so active prior to the upgrade and I've checked settings here.
I consider myself good at network with most parts of the network set to LAGG except the Mini.
I'm really stumped.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm actually wondering if I've got a hardware defect and it's just bad timing with the update.
If anyone has any ideas, I'm keen to try things out but will be phoning Apple tomorrow.

Right, I've found the solution. I completely binned my 'SystemConfiguration' folder from the Library/Preferences and now it works.
What an absolute pain. Lost all my settings but can get back on the internet.
Got no idea what caused it and maybe I'll route through the folder to see what stopped it from working. It was working perfectly fine on Lion, every since purchase date.
