WRT1900ac cannot setup Vlan with ID 2

Hello,
I am configuring my new router wrt1900ac to use with my fiber supplier.
I have problem configuring Vlans for the diferent services.
For wrt1900ac to work with my fiber supplier I have to set diferent vlan:
Vlan 2 For TV
Vlan 3 For VoIP
Vlan 6 For Internet
These VLANs are already configured on the ONT Fiber and can not be changed.
I tryed to configure the Vlan 2 on one of the ports but , I get a message saying that you can only select between vlans 3-4094

Why I cannot set this value?
There is a way to configure a Vlan in ID 2 ? Why only between 3 and 4094?
VoIP and Internet works fine.

Cannot setup exchange with apple mail

Here is the situation. I am trying to setup apple mail to the exchange system at work. When I enter the password (which I know is correct), I get the following error message:
Logging in to the Exchange server “mail.bus.msu.edu” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages.
Consequently, I cannot access the mail system.
I have been able to setup my other various mail accounts but this one persists in not working? Any suggestions.

Is the autodiscover information properly set up? Generally this should "just work" automatically if stuff is set up properly on the Exchange side. You may need to check the setup instructions for your educational institution and contact them if the autodiscover records are incorrectly set up.

CANNOT SETUP MAIL WITH YAHOO ACCOUNT

I've tried over and over to try and setup my mail account on Mail and it always ends up saying that it it failed to login into the mail server "plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com." I retyped all the account information and double-checked to make sure the user name and password was correct but the same thing happened. I don't have a Yahoo Plus account, just a regular one so I tried putting in "pop.mail.yahoo.com and once again, no juice. May I please get some help with this??

no one knew why i couldn't get my messages from the pop server at att/yahoo into my mail on my mac. there were no answered questions to the support topic why can i see mail activity....messages on the server, but not coming into the mail box? sending is fine, but for some reason, it suddenly stopped 3 days ago and for 3 days i searched for a fix. the only way i found this was a mail access error on the web mail thru att.yahoo where my messages showed up (they were also showing up on the i phone, not the mac)...had to verify the email....and while waiting, i found the att yahoo help page that cleared the whole problem
not removing files and putting them back in while opening and shutting mac....all the ports and ssls were checked and correct

I backed-up up my contacts and calendar from my personal folder file and deleted everything. At the end, everything is downloaded back to the Outlook (2007 in the case) on my laptop just as if it was a new ipad /iphone.
I hope that is the end of it ...
So, I had exactly the same problem. I was told that as I use a Windows pc that the windows updates may have caused a conflict. I have Office 365
- I backed up my outlook (.pst) file
- Once backed up I removed all my contacts.
- I closed Outlook and opened iCloud Control Panel.
- I ticked 'Contacts, Calendars & Tasks' and clicked on 'apply'
- presto!! Full recovery of everything that was in the cloud.
Only issue is that I have 2 iCloud Calendars, but that's the least of my worries - at least all my appointments are there ... I'll cope!

You don't need to configure anything specific for it to work unless you had some special filtering in place already.

iPad requires Wifi (or 3G /LTE) to connect to the Internet. You cannot connect a USB modem to the iPad.
You can create your own WiFi hotspot through your computer for your iPad to connect to, if your computer supports this functionality. All Wifi Macs and many Wifi PCs do. Check your computer manual for how to do it.

Setup VLAN

I want to setup VLAN to separate attached devices (will use a VLAN capabel WLAN accesspoint).
I am looking at the Cisco Small business products.
Like this: SG200-08P
This is my goal:
3 VLAN's: Internal, External, Guest
Devices connected to Internal can access External + Internet.
Devices connected to External can only access its own VLAN + Internet.
Devices connected to Guest are separated, they can only acess Internet.
I have a LAN Internet connection, with one IP address.
So I need NAT and Routing.
Do I need a VLAN enabled Router, or only a VLAN enabled Switch (Layer 2 / 3 / Smart)?
Can a Smart Switch act as Router?
Please advice me for Cisco - Products.

Hello Sam,
For your setup you will still want to get a router. Our Layer 3 switches do not do NATing or have any kind of firewall, so you probably would want something else in front of this on the edge of your network.
With a layer 3 switch it is possible to buy a router that doesn't do VLANs and still make it work. The RV series of routers would work well for this. All of them except for the RV016, RV042, and RV082 are VLAN capable. Even with those three you could set it up, it would just be a slightly different setup.
With a VLAN capable router you can do what is called router-on-a-stick, where all the VLANs are trunked up to the router, and it handles the Inter-VLAN routing. You can also set it up where the switch is everyone's default gateway, and it does the routing. In that case you would just have a point to point link between the router and switch, along with some static routes to make it all work.
So basically with a layer 3 switch you have some options, but you will still want a router for the NAT and the firewall features. It is possible to put a layer 3 switch directly on the edge, but only if you own enough public IPs for all of your devices.

          Packing Charges = 12000
          Sub Total = 401000

          CESS/Others = 1923
          Vat 2 % = 17340
         Total = 884343.

Create packing charges in Freight
Administration --> Setup --> General --> Freight
and when u will create Tax code, there is one check box in right upper side (Freight),
unable the check box so you can use the tax code in freight.

I use OpenSSO Enterprise 8.0 Update 1 Patch1 Build 6.1(2009-June-9 12:56)
I try to evaluate the Apache 2.2 web agent.
It's been installed without errors, and both the OpenSSO and Apache server restarted.
The agent profile's been created. Also, I use the default (OpenDS) configuration repository
for OpenSSO, but an external (DSEE) user data directory.
I think I did all the required steps with regards to both directories, since I don't see any error
in the LDAP logs, each entry seems to be found as expected, the BIND operations are all
successfull.
Also, I use a sub-realm rather than the default top realm, and thus, I've modified the agent configuration
(in the agent profile) so that the login URL is now ... /UI/Login?realm=myrealm
When I try to access the Apache homepage, I get an error 500. The most recent OpenSSO server log file
(...../opensso/debug/Authentication) contains the following message:
ERROR: Cannot create authcontext with null org
The most recent agent log file (....../apache22_agent/Agent_001/logs/debug/amAgent) has the following error:

Has anyone setup BIEE with OLAP 10g using value-based dimension hierarchies

I just wanted to know if it is possible to setup BIEE with 10g using multple dimensions containing multiple value-based hierarchies?
I know this involves using the OLAP Cube View Generator to create an sql view of the cube data.
I have been able to get this to work with nine dimensions all containing a single value-based hierarchy bar one which had four value-based hierarchies. But as soon as i have multiple hierarchies in multiple dimensions it seems to go haywire and i cannot get the sql view to return correct data.
I thought i would post on the BI side to see if anyone has been successful in creating a BIEE setup like this?

The simple answer to your question,
how robust is the 11g materialised views with multiple value-based hierarchies...?is that materialized views are not supported on top of value-based hierarchies in 11g. The reason is that it is not possible to write a reasonable SQL statement that aggregates a fact over a value-based hierarchy. Such a SQL statement is necessary if we want to create a rewritable MV on top of the cube.
But I suspect this is not what you are really asking. If you are trying to set up OBIEE on top of the cube in 10g using the view generator, then you will probably want to use the "ET VIEWS" that are generated automatically in 11g. These are generated whether or not you enable materialized views on top of your cube. I am not aware of any issues with the generated value-based hierarchy view support in 11g. Members may be shared between value hierarchies and you will not need to generate or modify limit maps.

Cannot enable VLAN on VM

Hi all,
I cannot enable VLAN identification for VM, when I try to apply I get message: "Error Applying Network Adapter Changes. The Operation on computer 'ServerName' failed.". Previously everything was fine.
In event viewer I see following error:

The VLAN configuration being set on port 036E9BF5-0646-4DC4-967C-B8E4A9A2FB29 (Friendly Name: External_ExternalPort) on switch 749C7BFE-0926-4957-9B95-5D24CE4B1225 (Friendly Name: LAN) is invalid. Reason: VLAN settings other than Access VLAN Id must be zero
The same situation if I try to uncheck 'Enable VLAN identification' on VM where VLAN was already set. Reboot didn't help. NIC firmware upgrade didn't help.
Host info: Dell PowerEdge R710, Two Broadcom NET Extreme II NICs inside NIC team created by BACS, HyperV 2012 Server OS.
How to figure this out?

Guest VLAN with SG-200

I'd like to use the SG-200 to create an isolated guest VLAN that cannot access the secure LAN, except of course for the router. This post discusses the necessary ACE's to use with an SG-300, but it's not clear that this level of access control exists on the SG-200. Is it possible to isolate a guest VLAN with the SG-200? My network is a roaming (bridged) network that looks like this:
[Modem] — [AE Router] — [Switch] — [Roaming Wifi]

Thank you very much for the pointers. I found a way to use the router as my VLAN, keeping the SG-200 as a simple switch. This turns out to be the best option because my router doesn't support ACL's or multiple VLANs that would be used for isolating VLANs on my level 2 switch.
This router-based solution involved resolving a simple DNS issue. My router gets DNS from the server, which the router's VLAN guests cannot see. Configuring DNS by hand on guest clients (e.g. Google DNS 8.8.8.8, 4.4.4.4) provides guest internet access, isolated from the LAN, all with roaming. And I'm using one less piece of hardware by using the router's VLAN. Thanks again.

I've got a problem with dynamic vlans. Trying to figure out configuration for the topology similar to the one in the picture.
I’ve got four vlans for PCs, one vlan per department. I have to add fifth vlan (50) for devices that can be connected to any of the three switches: A, B, C. these devices need to be on their own vlan, no matter to which switch they are connected to. On the other hand, PCs connected to any port on those switches should be assigned to appropriate vlan (10,20,30 or 40).
I was thinking about using dynamic vlans with list of mac addresses of devices that need to be on vlan 50 but not sure what to do with PCs. I don’t think I can use fallback vlan as I can set up only one fallback vlan for whole network and not per switch or port.
I cannot use list of mac addresses of all pcs as there’s simply too many of them (my network is way bigger than in the picture, I simplified it only to present the idea). I imagine I would need multiple fallback vlans for different switches.
Has anyone got any idea that could help me please? Maybe there’s some other and easier way?

In new software (for Cisco switches) we provide multiple fallbacks for MAC authentication (MAB):
1. 802.1x
2. web authentication
3. guest vlan (if no supplicant on the PC)
4. auth fail vlan (if radius denies you access)
So you could keep a list of MAC addresses for vlan 50 and do MAB for these devices if MAB fails you can use 802.1x for your PCs.
This will require configuring 802.1x supplicants on all PC (Windows comes preloaded with one) and maintaining a radius of users who are able to log into the network. A lot of people use their Active directory pre-existing database as a backend to store their usernames and passwords for user authentication with dot1x.
With using both dot1x and MAB you can now distinguish easily between two different processes and use your radius server to assign vlans based upon almost anything you can think of.

Cannot setup Share on wrt350n

Can someone please explain to me how to setup a share on the wrt350n? The router can see the drive. But I cannot setup a share on it. When I'm on the Storage tab> then in the Share tab: I can type in a name for a share, but the Share Folder option is grayed out and inaccessible.
Someone please help.
I'm using a IDE to USB drive.
As I said before the drive recognizes all 160Gb of storage, but I cannot setup any shares in order to access the drive.
Lastly,
Once setup, can someone explain to me how to access the files on the drive?

Hi… Once the once you create a share you need to assign access policy (read, read/write) for that share. So your can assign the users/groups with this share access policy and depending upon the policy you can either read or read and write to this disk or have no access at all.
So make sure, everything is configure properly, I believe you should be able to access the drive.
