WRT300N Not forwarding ports

I am trying to forward ports 2934 and 2935 to use with Falcon 4.0. About a month ago my ISP(Rogers) provided us with a new modem to replace our very old one. Now, I am not able to forward any ports, I know how to forward them and have done it in the past, but it now does not want to work at all. I tried scanning the ports that I have opened but it says they are closed. Is this a problem with the router, or is it the modem causing this? If it is the router, is there a way to fix this? It is very frustrating.

Try first the connection or the Ports are opened for Modem or not ...
if not then talk to your Internet Service  Provider ...
if yes .. then make sure that you are using static Ip for ports forwarding .....
Also you can check for upgraded firmware also ....

  • Router not Forwarding Ports Correctly.

Hi I currently have WRT610N (Firmware Version 1.00.02 B10)and when I go to forward a port, I go log into my router. Go to Port Range Forwarding and forward my range to my ip address (192.168.0.103) I get from run/cmd/ipconfig, and enable it. My pc's firewall is disabled altogether just to test it, and I used "http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/" to check if the port is forwarded and still nothing... I've tried several other Port Checking websites and still nothing... I Don't Know What's Wrong......

    Go through this checklist.
Considering that you have changed the IP address of your router from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.1 I would guess your modem is also a router and thus everything coming in from the internet ends at the modem and not at the WRT...

  • Linksys E1200 Router not saving Port Forwarding changes

    Hi!
I am currently attempting to port forward on my Linksys E1200 Router and am not succeeding in saving my settings. I am attempting to open port 25565 though both Single Port Forwarding and Port Range Forwarding, and whenever I click the "save settings" button, I receive a full window message stating that my changes have been saved. Upon clicking this, I return to the previous screen whereupon my changes have been erased and my port has not been forwarded. Can anyone assist me with this? I've searched for hours through forums and tech help websites, but I can't find anyone else with this issue.
    Issue:
Linksys E1200 Router not saving Port Forwarding changes.
    I have tried:
    -Restarting the Modem
    -Restarting the browser
    -Restarting the computer
-Tried to Port Forward through both the Single and Ranged Port Forwarding

Hi there. You can try another browser or a different computer. If it is the same thing, upgrade the firmware of the router. You can refer to this link on how to http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=0a6881b90224439b92c8d8f19ca42e5d_21511.xml&pid=80&...

  • Ports not forwarding on wrt610n

    Hi All,
I've been really stumped when I decided to start using xbox live. When ever I try to join my friends party I am slammed with a NAT error. Before I get to far into this let me tell you the layout of my network
           Modem>Vonage>Wrt610n>device.
For years now I have not been able to forward ports at all. Any portcheckers come back with unable to contact your router.
I am fairly certan its the router because, I dirrectly plugged my 360 into my modem and everything worked like a charm.
I've read on a similar post found here "Similar post" that updating the firmware might fix the issue?
    Thanks!
    Solved!

Ok thanks! that makes allot of sense, would you suggest I make my path like this modem>router>vonage- device
making vonage just another device plugged into the router?
From what I know VOIP routers should always be the main one so that the phone connection will be prioritized. If your original setup is > Modem-Vonage-WRT610N you will be experiencing double NATting and that is the reason why your port forwarding is not working. Like mentioned above, you need to forward the ports on both routers.
You can also do: modem>router>vonage- device setup but the quality of your phone service might be compromised since again, VOIP routers should be prioritized for the phone connection to properly work.

  • WRT120N Router Ports not Forwarding

I've been trying to forward ports on this router for a bit, as I've had to fall back to it since my newer router is no longer functioning correctly.
When I forward the ports in single port forwarding, I'm unable to connect to my servers. However, if I enable remote management, then put the port I wish to use for the server in the port on that screen, I'm able to access my server.
Is there something I can try doing to get the ports to forward correctly? I'm running the latest firmware as well.

Are you using a DSL modem? If you do, then try any of these steps:
    Set the modem to full bridge modem or;
    Try double port forwarding: http://portforward.com/help/doublerouterportforwarding.htm

I've been having a problem forwarding ports in my router WRT160N I enable the ports I want to use for my applications, just after clicking save settings I go back to my port's forwarding section and I don't see any application I add being saved. Please help, thanks.

Might be possible that it will take time to save the settings ... so once you click save settings wait for few seconds ...
Also if it not working ... disable all firewall on the computer & then try to configure the router ...

  • Linksys keep prompting for username and password when trying to forward port

As when we want to access the linksys router homepage we enter 192.168.1.1, and than we enter our user name and password. This is a normal step. But lately when i wanna forward a port and change the last 3 digit of the ip address, eg. to 101, i keep getting a promt for my user name and password but when i enter it correctly, it sill prompt me no matter whats. I used to forward port with no problem but do not know why this problem started to arise. Can anyone help me with this?
Btw i am using Linksys B router. THANKS

were u using the default password ?? because there is a possibility that someone in your neighbourhood must have connected to the wireless network and changed the router login password..
apart from this i don't see any reason of the old router password not working ..

  • SG200 Switch not forwarding Packet

    Hello,
I have a problem with my SG200-08 Switch the switch not fowarding a special Packet.
I try to run a simple Profinet installation for testing on the switch but it didn´t work correct. A special packet (Profinet error message) was not forwarded.
I have tried it with different Profinet masters with Siemens Profinet master it works without of problems. With Rexroth master it dosn´t work. But it is the same packet only another Mac Address.
I have added two Wireshark logs, where I have mirrored the slave and the master port. With the Siemens master all packets are forwarding (every packet is double loged) with the Rexroth master the alarm packet was not forwarding (the alarmpacket is lost between the ports).
With a not managed Switch it is no problem too run both Installations korrekt.
I have tried the Factory devault Settings of the switch and too deaktivate all services of the switch (like Spanning Tree, ..) but it was all the same, the Packet was not forwarded.
Has someone a idea which is the cause of the packet drop?

Hi Ulf, the switch doesn't filter traffic and this particular model doesn't have any special connection controls like ACL.
Features that may be service affecting include-
    Spanning tree (portfast, bpdu flood/filter)
    Port negotiation (speed/duplex)
    Energy efficient ethernet
    Bonjour discovery
Storm control (which is disabled by default)
I couldn't think of anything else that may be service affecting. You may disable spanning tree, manually set the port speed, disable EEE and bonjour if you want. However, I don't feel it will resolve your problems but it is worth trying if you feel the switch is the problem. Since the packet is forwarding correctly, it would appear to be a localized system setting.

  • CUCM not forwarding CTI called number - Subscriber Sign-in

I am running into an issue in CUCM/CUC 8.6(2a) when setting up external voicemail access.
I set up a CTI RP (Dn=2300) to forward to voicemail and set up a routing rule to send the Call
to subscriber sign in.  The call keeps going to the opening greeting.  I did a port status monitor
and I don't see the forwarding stations directory number.  Just the Unity Pilot Point number.
I just set this up in CUCM 8.6(1) and I have it working.  I mirrored the config but don't get the same results.
I'm not sure if maybe a service parameter changed or something and I am missing it.
    TIA

Thanks for sharing your findings Rob.  Your post helped me solve an issue I was having with a SIP trunk between CUCM and CUC.
Just to recap in case this post can help anyone else, if you don't check the Redirecting Diversion Header Delivery -  Outbound then Call Manager will not forward calls with a redirect number or reason code to Unity.  Using RTMT Port Monitor you'll find the call will complete but as a direct call to Unity.
The problem I was facing was CFNA (internal, external, etc) from a DN in CUCM to CUC would send the caller to the Opening Greeting, instead of the voicemail box of the user, which in this case was functioning properly because Redirecting Diversion Header Delivery was not checked.
Thanks again to both Robs for your thread,
    Derek

  • WLS JMS bridge not forwarding mesages

    Hi All,
I want to send messages from a queue in the source weblogic domain to the target queue in another weblogic domain. Both the domains are weblogic server. On the source server agile PLM is deployed. For this communication I established JMS bridge and JMS destination on my source server. The resource adpater is deployed and active. But my bridge is not working. Is not forwarding message to the target queue on the target server.
I inspected the log files. I found the following error
"<BEA-190032> << eis/jms/WLSConnectionFactoryJNDINoTX > ResourceAllocationException thrown by resource adapter on call to ManagedConnectionFactory.createManagedConnection(): "javax.resource.ResourceException: ConnectionFactory: failed to get initial context (InitialContextFactory =weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory, url = t3://<target_server_ip>:<port>, user name = null) "> "
Also on the monitoring tab of the JMS bridge initially it was showing message "Failed to look up the source adapter" then I deployed the resource adapter. Now on the monitoring tab its showing the message "Connected to the source" instead of shoing "Fowarding Messages" . can anyone tell me what could be the cause. Please help its really urgetnt!!!
Can anyone please tell me what can be the issue?
    Thanks in Advance!!

Could you please provide the way you used the connection factory?
    I am concerned about *(InitialContextFactory =weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory, url = t3://<target_server_ip>:<port>, user name = null) "> "*
    Please check.

  • Spa3102 would not forward a voip call to pstn line

    Good morning.
I've done the implementation provided here http://community.linksys.com/t5/VoIP-Adapters/SPA-3102-and-softphone-to-
    make-calls-via-pstn-line/td-p/326390 .
It is a way to use for outgoing calls a given pstn line from anywhere I have internet (voip to pstn).
The spa3102 is connected to a router (with an active DHCP server and ip 192.168.1.1) from where it takes the internal
ip (192.168.1.3).On the same network is also a computer , connected to the router ( with ip 192.168.1.2). The spa3102
is set to bridge mode and thus inactivates the function of the router (on SPA3102), and it functions as a  simple
network device . I have  done port forwarding (from the router) to 192.168.1.3 (SPA3102) for the port 5061 (PSTN
LINE) ( but for 5060 for the LINE 1 also). I want to make calls from a voip softphone (x-lite 4) to the SPA 3102 and
this to forward the voip calls to PSTN line to which it is connected. In x-lite the SPA3102 is set as a proxy so that
i can type the phone number I want to call without being followed by the SPA3102's ip each time ( eg on  x-lite I
give call number 2101111111 instead of 2101111111 @ wanip: 5061 where wanip is the external ip of the router).
When x-lite is running on the computer that is on the same network with the SPA3102 everything works as expected. A
voip call is made from x-lite ( using as a proxy the wanip everytime, or even for test purposes the dyndns domain
that i set up for this reason), this call is passese PSTN line and the phone of the called party rings . At x-lite
    COMES indication "call established ".
The problem occurs when I do the same procedure from x-lite installed on a computer belonging to another network (
e.g. in another building with its own internet connection , own router, own computer , etc. ) . Always using the
wanip the x-lite makes the voip call to the SPA3102, writes "call established" ( meaning it connected to SPA3102) but
never routed the call to the called party ( the SPA3102 did not forward voip calls it receives to the PSTN line ) .
Trying to find what 's wrong I've tried to disable all firewalls (soft and hard from all involved machines ) . The
behavior is the same either the computer that makes the successful calls is connected to the network directly to the
router  or through the port "ethernet" on the SPA3102.
What is the difference in these two voip calls to the SPA3102 and the one  " triggers "  it to forward the call to
PSTN line and the other does not ?
Thanks now for any ideas you give .

The audio sound problem is more than likely also associated with the overall addressing problem initially encountered.  As you may know, using the sip protocol the sip signalling exchanges ip addresses to be used for both the sip signalling and the exchange of rtp sound packets.  In addition there is an exchange of port numbers to be used for the exchange of rtp sound packets.  The sound is exchanged by two separate streams of packets, one stream in each direction.  The result is an ip address and port number for the rtp packets flowing from the SPA3102 to the softphone and a different ip address and port number for the rtp packets flowing from the softphone to the SPA3102.
In your previous posting you mentioned that you "set the minimum  EXTernal rtp port at the sip tab".  Changing the "EXT RTP Port Min:" is an unusual change to make and in my opinion would only be made in special circumstances. Actually, I ran some tests and I'm not sure exactly what that setting does.  In my tests it didn't appear to affect the rtp port number used in a predictable manner.
The common changes to make for audio problems typically would be to setup a STUN server.  A STUN server is an external server that echos back to the initial sender the external ip address and port number that the STUN server received with the message received by the server.  This allows the sender (SPA3102 or softphone) to determine its external ip address and external port numbers for both the sip signalling and rtp packets.
A STUN server is commonly recommended to be setup with the following settings in the SPA3102:
    PSTN Line Tab:
    NAT Mapping Enable: Yes
    Sip Tab:
    Handle VIA received: yes
    Handle VIA rport: yes
    Insert VIA received: yes
    Insert VIA rport: yes
    Substitute VIA Addr: yes
Send Resp To Src Port: yes
    STUN Enable: yes
    STUN Server:
The following web page has a list of "Public STUN Servers"
    http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/STUN
You are using CounterPath's XLite softphone.  stun.counterpath.net  is a STUN server on the list.
I see XLite also has a setting to use a STUN server on the "Topology" tab.

  • Cisco OTV Vlan Not Forward Capable

    Hi All,

    Hello Tim
    Brayton Hackworth had a similar post as yours, found here;
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3684179#3684179
Brayton is using the Mitel 5330 phones where the LLDP no longer fed VLAN information to the phone network. But, he reverted to use a DHCP server to provide the VLAN information.
Unfortunately, I (personally) cannot test any Mitel resources (since I don't have them) so my labs usually only consist of either 7900 series or SPA500/900 series phones.
    The best thing I can really recommend to you is to make a package of data consisting of;
    Topology which consists of;
    Modem type
    Router including IP
All devices including IP of switches
    Servers / relevant workstations
    # of attached devices and # of users on the LAN
Switch config file + show tech on a notepad
    Syslog output from the switch
    Working PCAP
    PCAP showing failure
PCAP legend showing what IP address are who (unless topology contains all IP)
Where the PCAP is taken from and method
We then can create a service request for you and pass it for review.

  • HH2 and HH3 not opening ports

    Hi Guys
This is more of an FYI post rather than a oh dear whats wrong post.
We've had the HH2 for about a 2 years or so now and lately have been having some interesting, shall we say, personality traits with our HH2.
Often, for no reason, the HH2 will drop all wireless signals and will not allow anyone to connect, new devices, old devices or ethernet devices. Only a press of the restart button will resolve this.
Now thats not too annoying apart from the hassle but another (major) issue we're having is port opening/gaming.
Last week i decided to start playing a game i hadnt played it years, upon completion of downloading and installation i tried to connect, may i note weve never had any problems with gaming whatsoever with the HH2 in the 2 years weve had it, unfortunately i kept getting connection errors. So being an IT guy myself i decided to pull up the ports for the game and proceeded to open them up in the HH2's manager and assign them to my device.
Tried to reconnect and still got the error.. i was a bit crosseyed here so i thought well i shall try a port scanner and check to make sure my ports have been opened. They hadnt.. i checked the hub again, ports were listed as open and available in the application sharing section and also assigned to my device.
I proceeded to disable firewalls and DMZ my laptop, risky i know but i  am an IT guy and know what i am doing. Anyways i restarted the HH2 again to make sure the firewall selection and DMZ applied. I waited and checked the HH2 was up and rechecked the settings all ok.
I ran the port scan again, the ports were still NOT open. Now this is quite annoying. I went to work and tested the game there on a bog standard ADSL line and the game worked fine. Take it home and not a peep.
I have spoken to BT and we're getting a HH3 free of charge to fix the problem but i just wanted you all to know that there could be some serious issues with the HH2 and it not opening ports, nor allowing DMZ to function correctly!
Thanks everyone, have a nice day and apologies on my wall of text.

Ok i think this thread is going to turn into a help me thread... in fact i dont think.. i know...
    HELP ME!!!
I have received the new HH3 and with furvour decided to get into the hub, setup the wireless and put the ports in the forward list... i excitedly restarted the hub and connected...
and guess what.. still no joy.. ports are ALL closed... i have even DMZ'd my laptop and that isnt working.. im not getting the IP address im still getting an internal 192 address...
Can anyone give me a clue as to whats going on here? pulling my hair out now!

  • Issue Forwarding Port 7000 on RVS4000 Router

    Hi Everyone,
I have recently replaced a WatchGuard Firebox SOHO 6 with a Linksys 4 Port Router Mod: RVS4000 because the WatchGuard was becoming unstable.
I set up the new router with all the settings from the previous equipment, which included forwarding port 7000 to a specific IP.
This port broadcasts images from a surveillance software installed on a computer with a static IP (the computer runs on Vista).
In order to view the broadcasted video on another computer, I use a proprietary software not a web browser.
So far, I tried single port forwarding without being able to view the images and range port forwarding with the same result.
I spend over an hour with the Business Tech Support from Linksys without success. They even remoted into the device and found nothing suspicious.
Currently the router runs on firmware version 1.2.11 and the Tech Support people suggested upgrading to a newer version.
I'm concerned to do so because I in read other postings that I can run into a bigger problem (i.e. bricking the router).
Finally, other ports are being forwarded (i.e. port 3389 RDP) and it works fine, so at least I know the forwarding feature is working properly.
Can someone shed some ligh as to what to do next?
Needless to say, everything was working fine with the WatchGuard Firebox and no changes in equipment, IPs or other software/hardware have been done.
Thank you in advance fro your help.
    danielk

    Greetings,
That sounds peculiar that some ports would get forwarded but others not, you might want to check and see if your ISP is blocking the ports if your going through the internet to this security application.  If everything is local, then you should try to follow the advice of upgrading your firmware to the latest version, in order to avoid "bricking" your router do the following sequence, before you upgrade:
do a backup of your configuration (optional)
Reset router to factory default settings from the GUI.
    Upgrade to latest firmware.
Reset router to factory default settings again from the GUI.
    Configure everything again manually *RECOMENDED*
This somewhat ilogical sequence of events prevents the IOS from being corrupted and has worked in many cases I have dealt with regarding router "lock up" issues.
Besides that the only thing else I can think of is find out if there are any more additional ports required for this application to work properly and check to see if your using the exact protocol  UDP or TCP for the ports that are being forwarded.
    Regards.

  • How to forward port 25565?

I'm trying to run a minecraft server, and whenever I try to forward my port in port mapping in network preferences, I still get a "port 25565 is closed" on a port checking website. Putting my ip in the interenet browser does not load any setting either

So this TC gets the public IP address? Please check the summary page of the TC that it has a public not private wan IP.
The extend network TC is bridged so that doesn't matter. The only place you forward ports is the main TC if it is the main router of the network.
Post the screen shots of the setup of port forwarding on that.
