WRT300N what kind of Bridge will go with this ?

I just purchase a WRT300N and I want to hook up my garage to it by using a Bridge. My kids have a Xbox and a laptop over the garage in a recroom so I was wondering what do I need ?
The distance is around 600 feet away clear line of site.

i believe , there is no device which will suffice your requirement....however, you can try the set up mentioned below....
modem --> wrt300n -->  wap54ge ( 1 )         ~~~~~~~~~     wap54gpe (2)
the first wap54gpe can be connected by using an ethernet cable at a distance of 100 fts...and get the secured wap54gpe configured in repeater mode....
each wap54gpe should give you around 300fts....
another way around will be to design an antenna either a parobola or a flat panel..depending upon the design , it should give you a very good signal......

  • What kind of camcorders will work with iMovie?

I'm confused about what kind of camcorders can be used to import footage onto iMovie. Does the camcorder have to be digital? Can it have one of those little tapes?
Also, if I don't have iDVD can I record the edited video right onto the camcorder tape from iMovie? I've never used this stuff before, any comments are appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi stiles:
First, I suggest strongly that you view this:
    http://www.apple.com/support/imovie/tutorial/
IDVD and iMovie are two different software programs that come as a part of the iLife bundle. You do not need iDVD to run iMovie nor the other way around. So, you can export your edited video directly to your camera from imovie (and it's up to you if you want to burn a dvd in iDVD after that).
You will need a Digital Video Camcorder like this

  • I have a macbook 13"screen purchased in 2007; I want to hook it up to my HDTV; I purchased a mini display port to hdmi adaptor but it does not fit.   what kind of adaptor will work for this model?

I have a Macbook, 13" screen, purchased in 2007.    I want to hook it up to my HDTV; I purchased a mini display port to hdmi adapter but it does not fit.   Any suggestions?

If you connect yourMacBook using a MiniDVI/HDMI adapter you will need to use external speakers for audio since the pre-2010 MacBooks will only send video through the MiniDVI or MiniDisplay Port . The MiniDVI/HDMI doesn't carry audio and there's no audio plugs on the TV to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.
If your TV has a DVI input plug you can use a MiniDisplayPort/DVI adapter. Then a DVI cable to the DVI input plug on the TV. The TV will have RCA audio plugs for use with the DVI. Plus DVI gives a sharper image than HDMI.

  • Mac Mail... what e-mail accounts will work with this?

    Hello,
I want to set up my e-mail to work with Mac Mail. I currently have a yahoo account and realize this cannot be done with Yahoo. So, my question is what e-mail account can I set up and use with Mac Mail?
I am aware that .mac has an account that works, but I am not into paying $100 for that at the moment. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you!

I currently have a yahoo account and realize this cannot be done with Yahoo
You can use your Yahoo mail if you use their Yahoo Mail Plus service.
You'll need to enable POP access to your mailbox, then you can setup Mail.app with a new POP account pointing to Yahoo.
If you don't want to use Mail Plus then you can use any other service that offers POP or IMAP access to your mailbox. However, bear in mind that most free mail services rely on a web-based interface because they use the ads to pay for the service.

Can anyone give me an answer to what internal DVD+/-RW will work with my Satellite P10-304.
    I've been told a SDR-6012 or a UJ-820 DVD+/-RW might work.
    Please help

    Hi
Did you check the user manual of the P10 Satellite?
Sometimes the compatible CD/DVD drives can be found in the user manual which should be installed on your notebook.
If you dont have the user manual then you could download it from the Toshiba page.
However, if you will not find the right info in the user manual then I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country for details.
Usually you could order a supported drive from these guys.
Its important that you know what drives are compatible due to the different master\slave\c-sel settings.
    Bye and good luck

  • What version of Elements will work with Canon Print Studio Pro

What version of Elements will work with Canon Print Studio Pro?

I tried this step but it did not work. I have a Mac YosemiteOS 10.10.1. I copied to plug in files from Canon Print Studio Pro. Open canon utilities, open print studio pro, open CS4 folder and copied files CNPSPP101.plugin and CNPSPP102.plugin (not there is also a folder called CS5 but it has the fame plugin files)
I copy these files and then go to Photoshop Elements 13 and paste these files in Support File folder in Plug - ins and also did in folder Optional Plug-ins.
I then open Photoshop Elements 13 and hit Automation tools but Canon Pro Studio option is not there.
Can you provide more details on where I might be going wrong.
I put in a trial version of Elements 12 and have no problem. I just can't find where to purchase Elements 12 so I do not lose it in 30 days. Know where I can  purchase?

I have an 8 year old G5 / OS X 10.4.11, what kind of problems will I have now switching from Mobileme to iCloud?

You can migrate to iCloud, but the only thing you will be able to do is access email, and you will have toi set Mail up manually to do this:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Tiger
This is worth doing to maintain your email address, but you won't be able to sync calendars, contacts or bookmarks. Your calendars and contacts will be removed from MobileMe (though not from your Mac) and won't appear on the iCloud website.

Can you provide the correct info?

what version of mozilla will work with pentium 3 697 MHz, 256 MB of RAM windows xp sp3

I'm not sure I understand your question. Firefox 12 being the last version to support XP without SP2 implies that Firefox versions 4-11 would also work on XP without SP2.
You may have seen a reference to Firefox 3.6.28 because for a while Firefox 3.6 received some updates in parallel with the releases of Firefox 4-10, and 3.6.28 was the end of the line.
If there is an article that needs updating on this site -- and I can assure you there are many -- you may be able to submit proposed edits to it because many pages are "wiki" pages with an Edit link. Or if you want to post the URL of the problem page here, feel free to do that instead.

i accidently downloaded something that made my webcam flash on spuradically even once i deleted it. when i restarted my computer it got stuck at the white loading screen with the grey apple and wont go past there..what is wrong? will applecare cover this?  my computer also slowed down drastically before it stopped working..thanks! HELP PLEASE!

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a boot failure is to secure your data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since your last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
         a. Boot into the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
    b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to boot, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can boot now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
If you've booted from an external storage device, make sure that your internal boot volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
    Step 3
Boot in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you boot in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, your boot volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 5.
If you can boot and log in now, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the boot process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 4
Sometimes a boot failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 5
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select your startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then reboot as usual.
    Step 6
Reinstall the OS. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 7
Repeat Step 6, but this time erase the boot volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer your data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 8
This step applies only to older Macs (not current models) that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery. Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a gray screen at boot. Typically the boot failure will be preceded by loss of the startup disk and system clock settings. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 9
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. If you can't get to an Apple Store, go to another authorized service provider.

Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Bridge CC works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall any updates for this application and Mac OS X" although bridge has been running on my Mac for over a yera. I have installed all current updates for Mac and reinstalled Bridge again from CC and still get the same issue? Any advice?

Would you please provide details about your setup?

Note that this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster).
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too.

Apple says that a minimum of iOS 5.0 is required. See the support document below. Look for Requirements on the left hand side of the page about half way down.
Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later.
