WRT320N v2 - Site Routes to different URL

Is there a reason it does this? its so annoying! Websites sometimes become different websites or fail. If I reset the router it works fine. Happens daily sometimes 2-3 times. wrt32on-v2 is the router i have. sites will just randomly stop working says invalid. then a site link becomes diff site "says Invalid URL - The requested URL "/", is invalid. Reference #9.5db302cc.1337808526.24b67a71 --- THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. WHY?

Try to isolate the problem by bypassing the router and connect your computer to the modem then check if you will still have the same problem. You can also try to delete the browsing history of your browser and check if it makes any difference.

  • Moving host header site collections to a different URL

    Background:
We have a SharePoint 2010 farm with a single web app.  Within this web app, we have over 40 site collections.  Unfortunately when they were created, they were all put under their own explicit managed path.  So now we have over 40 managed paths
and the recommended number of managed paths is 20.  We are planning to create wildcard managed paths and move site collections from
    https://servername/sitename to
https://servername/U/sitename to reduce the number of managed paths.
The implications of this are clear for site collections that are not host header site collections.  Site collection admins will have to adjust any URLs that refer to items in the site collection.  It is less clear for host header site collections.
From the user's point of view, the host header URL itself will not change.
    1.  Will internal links in the host header site collections need to be adjusted like in regular site collections?
    2.  Will the e-mail address of e-mail enabled lists and libraries change?
I would be grateful if anybody has an answer to this.
    Sheila

If you moved http://sitename.webapplication.domain.com (ie. a host named site collection) to http://webapplication.domain.com/managedPath/sitename then it would obviously have a different URL.
That is not what you were describing in your first post, the terminiology is a little specific and I think you're getting it a bit wrong. A web application (often) has a host header, that will not change moving a site from an explicit path to a wilcard path.
A host named site collection is very different and more complicated
If you are planing on converting
    http://webapplication.domain.com/site1
    http://webapplication.domain.com/site2
    http://webapplication.domain.com/site3
    to
    http://webapplication.domain.com/sites/site1
    http://webapplication.domain.com/sites/site2
    http://webapplication.domain.com/sites/site3
Then you are not using Host Named (or host header) Site Collections, those are bog standard managed path site collection addresses.
Now to answer your question: for users to access the sites after the move they must use the /sites/siteX version, if they use an old link then it will not work.
There is a trick in SharePoint that will keep links that exist within the site collection consistent so that some URLs will be maintained. This is called a relative URL and means that URLs that are within the same Site Collection will automatically work
    with the new URLs.

  • How to link web app item to different URL other than detail page

Hi, this is probably a bit of a stupid question but I can't find the answer anywhere.  On my site, I have projects set up as web apps--I want the customer to be able to click on the title or image for the web app and for it to link to a PDF or blog page, NOT the detail view.
So I want the app title and image to link to a different URL, not detail view.
Here's the page in question, if that helps: http://sherrihaab.businesscatalyst.com/projects
Thanks in advance for any help.

{tag_name_nolink} - Will make the title with no link wrapped around it
{tag_yourimagefield_value} - Will give you the raw source of the file location
You can then form your own image html and links wrapping this and the web app item name text.
To form the link source to go to - create a text custom field and just type or copy and paste a url into that field.

  • Cisco ASA - 2 Site to Site routes needed for failover -Is possible?

3 physical sites. 2 ASA 5510 (routing mode_). 3rd site is in between ASA sites. 2 different connections. Depending on which link goes down, a certain set of Network Lists for Site to Site VPN is needed to place the 3rd site subnets where they belong depending on which link dies. The tunnels all work. Here is my wonder: Can I automate this somehow in my environment (all Cisco 3750/3560/2960) so that I can leave both tunnels in place so that if either link dies, the appropriate tunnel is picked for failover? Running 8.03 code on ASA. Using EIGRP (love that protocol). Anyone have any ideas?

You can implement failover or loadbalancing . Use this configuration examples for your configurations.

  • Forwarding 2 different URL's

I'll see if I can explain myself correctly..I have a .mac account and I forward my .mac (iweb) address to another URL, (www.bgmp.ca)..If I make another site, on a different account in my mac, do I need to have another .mac account to do the same,?...I have a lot of space left on my .mac...Thanks...Brian

I'll see if I can explain myself correctly..I have a
.mac account and I forward my .mac (iweb) address to
    another URL, (www.bgmp.ca)..
I know what you are saying.... right now, your domain name http://www.bgmp.ca forwards everyone to your iWeb URL http://web.mac.com/yourname
    If I make another site,
on a different account in my mac, do I need to have
another .mac account to do the same,?...I have a lot
of space left on my .mac
Make sure you name the sites different names in each account on your Mac. Otherwise, if they are named the same thing, they will overwrite one another when you try to publish. Your sites will be published into the same .Mac account. The address of your sites are as Tom mentioned. And yes, one of your sites will be the default site...usually the last that a "Publish All" action was done on.
In terms of your forwarding, there are a couple options...
Right now here is what is happening...
http://www.bgmp.ca is "replacing" http://web.mac.com/yourname which is in turn forwarded to http://web.mac.com/yourname/iWeb/sitename1 by default. You can make things a little more elegant by changing the URL on your domain forwarding to reflect your use of two or more iWeb sites.
Change your forwarding setup to point to your "long" iWeb URL.... http://web.mac.com/yourname/iWeb This way you can utilize your domain forwarding like such...
http://www.bgmp.ca forwards to http://web.mac.com/yourname/iWeb/sitename1 by default.
    http://www.bgmp.ca/sitename1 forwards to http://web.mac.com/yourname/iWeb/sitename1
    http://www.bgmp.ca/sitename2 forwards to http://web.mac.com/yourname/iWeb/sitename2
Does this make sense? I hope so. Good luck!

  • I publish identical podcasts under different URLs.  How can I combine them into one?

Over the years, my URL has changed a couple of times.  I didn't know (until recently) how to notify iTunes that the podcast location and URL had changed.  So, now after a number of years, I have three identical podcasts, each with different a different URL and a different list of subscribers.  I have them pointing to the same source file now, but I would love to combine the podcasts into one so that the subscribers from each are merged together and they don't show up as three possible subscriptions in iTunes.  Is this possible?

You can't merge them: all you can do is to ask to have two of them deleted, and of course if you do that you will lose any ratings. However existing subscribers should all be using the same feed if the three Store pages are all using the same feed, and so removing two of them won't have any effect on subscribers.
The method of getting a podcast removed is detailed here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#removing
When you explain why you want each one of the two you choose removed, specifically say that the same feed is in use in three places, so you can't use the 'itunes:block' tag (because this would block all three).

  • How can I send to a different URL link than what the text states in Acrobat?

    Hi there
I know how to create URL links in my document using Acrobat but
How can I create a link that goes to a different URL desintation other than the one the text states?
    For example
    the text states
    www.aaaaa.com
and I want it to state this,
but I want the link to direct to
    www.aaaaa.com/abcdefghijkl
I dont want to have to create a link object, I want it to stay as text?
    Is this even possible?
    Any advise?

Actually, it is possible to specify your own tooltip text, if you use a
    button instead of a link.
You just set the button's action to "Open a weblink" and it will act the
same as a link, but you'll have more control over how it looks and behaves.
    Hi there
I cant see the term "Open a weblink". Can you advise please?
Also then how do you change the "Tooltip text" please?

  • How to edit the same iWeb site on 2 different Macs?

How can I edit the same iWeb site on 2 different Macs? I know we create a folder with the files, but when copying that to Mac2, iWeb on Mac2 doesn't see that folder - I can't see what the linkage is between the app's interface and the folder of site files....

The answer is Domain.sites (extension hidden by default). You'll find this on the Mac you used to create the site at Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/iWeb. Copy that file to removable media and drag it to the same location on the other Mac. Launch iWeb and you'll see the site structure in the Site Organizer.
Once you keep the Domain package in sync between the two machines everything will work smoothly no matter which you use. There's a neat tip here which may help in this respect, but you use whatever strategy you prefer:

  • No redirection to different url upon http connections limit exceeded

    Hi,
As of Standalone OC4j 10.1.2, if you want messages to be redirected to a different URL when the maximum connections limit is reached, you would include the HTTP redirect URL to max-http-connections tag inside server.xml.
    <max-http-connections max-connections-queue-timeout="120" socket-backlog="50"
    value="100">http://optional.redirect.url/page.jsp</max-http-connections>
I have a standalone OC4j 10.1.3, and would like to be able to redirect to different URL when maximum connections limit is reached but the above max-http-connections does not work and I am not redirected to different URL when maximum connectionns limit is reached. I read user guide of OC4j 10.1.3 and there is no mentioning of max-http-connections at all. In there, they talk about limiting concurrency via http thread pool but there is no discussion as to the mechanism of redirecting users to a different URL where I can display a user friendly message to say "Server is busy, please try again later..." instead of browser display a message "Page cannot be displayed"..
    Please advice,
    Thanks

Any thoughts on above issue ? please help.
    thanks

  • How do I unhide the URL window/field that allows me to directly enter a different URL without using the Search Window/field?

I need to unhide the window or field that allows me to DIRECTLY enter a different URL. I do not want to use the search engine. I want to manually enter the URL of my choice and go DIRECTLY there.
So, how do I unhide the URL window?

It is still there at the left most part part of the address bar, but you have to press and hold the trackpad to use it.

I would think that the forum is just a huge database of posts with a front end that formats the pages dynamically.
Apparently, a post can be addressed either from a global ID (URL#2) or from a board/boardID (URL#1). Same difference.

  • Creating a SVG Pie Chart With Different Portion Linking To Different URL

Is it possible to create a SVG pie chart in which different portion will point to different URL. on HTML DB version 1.5.1.00.12
For example i've tried something like this:
on page 20 i have a svg pie chart
    select
    'f?p=&APP_ID.:21:#APP_SESSION#::::P21_DD_SALESORG:'||region,region,code from demo_region;
i have a query in page 21 like this:
    select country from demo_country where region= :P21_DD_SALESORG;
so when i click on a particular region on the pie chart on page 20 the value of item
P21_DD_SALESORG on 21 should be set.
but the value of P21_DD_SALESORG is always getting passed as NULL from the pie chart.
I've tried it on HTML DB version 1.5.1.00.12
    Look for an early reply

    hi user445907--
your link column in your chart query seems to us the correct syntax, so i'd imagine the issue is with your data/query or the item name in question...
check the query and data: make sure your query returns valid values to be passed of to P21_DD_SALESORG. if so, you should see your links correctly formed as you hover your mouse over the individual slices. if your links look good then check your item names.
item names: if your links above look okay, then might you be setting the value of the incorrect item? please confirm that. after clicking a pie slice to get to page 21, check to see that P21_DD_SALESORG is correctly set by clicking the Session link in the developer toolbar.
basically, i'm suggesting that because your link column in your query looks okay, you'd want to see at what point the NULL value is being passed/set. try tracing things from the chart query over to page 21 (and try going backwards if you have to). if you can't find the disconnect, please feel free to set up an example on an instance, where i can take a look.
    thanks,

  • Unable to connect to Server at servername . enter a different URL and try again (only on client machine)

    Hello All,
We are getting "Unable to connect to Server at <<servername>>. enter a different URL and try again" error, if we are trying to connect to report server in report builder.
This issue is appearing only on 2-3 client machines only. Rest on other client machines and server URL is working fine.
    Please suggest

I would suggest looking at what might be different between those clients and the others that work.  Do they run the same antivirus version?  Did they receive any recent updates (windows or AV)?  Are they potentially on a different network
(sometimes a wireless network is configured to be different from the wired)?  Are they getting any different group policies?
We've seen the antivirus web control block access before in my environment.

  • Logoff Link go to 2 different URLs

    Hi Portal Knowledgeable Ones,
I am running EP 6.0 SP13.  For portal authentication, we use IBM's IDM infrastructure.
Our portal is used by internal users (intranet) and external users (internet).  For internal users, portal authentication is performed by our central authentication service.  For external users, authentication is performed by the portal's native capabilities.
I have a problem with the Logoff Link.
When internal users logoff, I need to redirect to the logoff URL for the central authentication system.  However, when external users logoff, I need to redirect to simply a static URL because nothing more than logging of the portal is necessary.
How do I make the Logoff Link go to 2 different URLs, depending on user type?  Currently, I have 2 portal frameworks, one for internal, and one for external.  Can I utilize that somehow?
    Thanks,
    Kevin
When internal users enter the internal portal URL, the request is directed to our central authentication system.

    Hi Kevin,
The masthead is defined in the HeaderiView.jsp in the com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead portal application.
    In this JSP there is:
GetLogoffURL method that gets the logoff URL.
isAnonymous method that determines if the user is anonymous.
Use these two to supply 2 different URLs.
    Hope this helps.
    Daniel
