WRT350N only shows 'mixed' in network mode

Hi,
I've got a WRT350N firmware v2.00.19, now all my gear is 802.11n I want to change the network mode on the router to be N only, but the only options I see under this setting are 'Mixed' and 'Disabled'.
Anyone know how I can set it to N only?

Hi Scrooge, tried your suggestion, got the power light flashing between green and orange then pulled power to the modem and router, restarted modem first them router. Still only see mixed and disabled in the network mode drop down, i'll try it a couple more times to see if my reboot restart timings makes any difference.
Do you know the underlying cause of this? reset\reboot\unplug seems like a pretty random method?

WRT 120N - Radio Type only shows as "802.11g." Cannot connect as "N"

I have a new dell studio laptop with an internal "N" card as well as an xbox with an N adapter. However, the "radio type" showin in my network list keeps saying "802.11g." I have done the following:
Rebooted, reinstalled the router
Upgraded the firmware
reset to default and created a new ssid.
delereted and reinstalled the connections on both the laptop and the xbox.
When I change the setting in the setup page to "N only," both my computer and xbox lose their connections.
Spent an hour with linksys, they couldn't figure it out. Any ideas???

I have the same model of router (WRT120N) with the latest available firmware and am having the same problem you are having with the network adapter software on the 2 wireless devices I have connected to this router only showing the wireless network I created as B and G, not N. I would not change the N Transmission Rate setting if you have B/G clients in your network because the help file under Wireless --> Advanced Wireless Settings in the router config page states: "Changing the N Transmission Rate other than Auto will disable B/G clients". I have not been able to try the other settings changes suggested by the previous poster, but I will report back here soon if I have any success with them. I would reset the changes you made back to their previous settings to at least make your laptop and Xbox able to connect to the router on 802.11b/g modes for now.

When I set Newtork Mode to N-only, the wireless security turns to DISABLED & can only be re-eneabled by returning to MIXED mode
Same thing on both bands.

Try to re-flash the firmware of the router once again. The re-flash process means that you will be updating your firmware with a version that is similar to the one that you are currently using. A firmware re-flash will help in fixing the script of your device’s current firmware. After re-flashing the firmware reset the router. After the process try to reconfigure the router again and then check the status..

Unable to connect to Linksys E3000 when set to 5GHz "N" only Network mode

I've not been able to connect to my to Linksys E3000 when set to 5GHz "N" only Network mode. Connections to the 5GHz can only be done in mixed mode. I do not need to have A-Mode enabled, so I do not wish to use mixed.
Tested with a variety of adaptors, most recently my Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 .

I took your suggestions, and verified the firmware is current.
Channel Width: 40
Channel: 161
Also, I have turned security off for testing.
If Network Mode = N Only, I see and can 'connect', but then get the error below:
If "Network Mode:" = Mixed, there is a connection, but Status-> Local->DHCP Clients verifies it as "A":

The error from Windows is non-specific:

WRE54G does not recongize WRT100 when WRT100 network mode is set to Mixed

The only time that WRE54 makes a connection to the WRT100 is when the Wireless Network Mode (under Wirless Settings) is set to BG-MIXED and the Standard Channel is identified.
If you selete MIXED for the Network mode all other setting within the WRT100 are set to auto and the WRG54 does not make a connection to the WRT100. So if you have a mixed enivorment with N B and G. The WRE54 will be useless.
Currently the expander does make a connection to the WRT100 when the Network Mode is set to BG-Mixed and the Standard Channel is identified.
Any Updates that will correct this commmunication problem would be benificial. So the one could have a truely mixed environment.

I have both pieces of hardware to the newest firmware. I tried your settings, however the WRE54G did not connect to WRT100. To reduce the amount of typing I didn't include Wireless --> Advance Wireless Settings within my note, I ensure you though I did exactly as you suggested.
On the WRT100
Wireless --> Basic Wirless Settings
Network Mode is Mixed
Network Name (SSID): HAM
Radio Band: Auto - 20/40Mhz Channel
Wide Channel: Auto
Standard Channel: Auto
SSID Broadcast: Enabled
Security --> Firewall (the only things I have mark are):
SPI Firewall Protection
Filter INDENT (PORT 113)
Please note that the filter Anonymous Internet Requests is not checked.
The WRE54G connects to WRT100 with these settings:
Wireless ---> Basic Wireless Settings
Network Mode: BG-MIXED
Network Name (SSID): Ham
Radio Band: IS NULLED OUT
WIDE Channel: IS NULLED OUT
Stardard Channel: 10 - 2.457GHz
SSID Broadcast: Enabled

I also tried it on my laptop (windows 8.1) and none of the above worked. My error code on my laptop was 02. The phone is through Verizon and it has absolutely no damage. It was working fine up until this and I have been trying to fix it for 2 days. Please help! I am unsure of what version the phone was currently running on before this because I have another iphone that's my primary phone and have not used this one in about a month. I do not believe it was updated to IOS 7.

Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Follow the steps in the article below for the specific error messages you have been receiving. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.

HT1414 My laptop said "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." All of the sudden my iPhone is locked and it only shows a white plug at the bottom with an arrow pointing towards iTune

Either the iPhone has crashed in some way to cause it to corrupt badly enough to need restoring to work (either hardware issue or software corruption) or it has been connected while holding down the Home button.
Try resetting the handset (Hold Home & Power together for 15secs until Apple appears) and if it still goes back to recovery mode it means there's a major software issue or a hardware fault

Although there is one little thing that I've noticed. The iMac works properly, but I tried to software update to see if that may help my Minecraft sound issue (as I still don't think only having 2GB instead of 4GB would cause such a problem) but the software update application won't work. Running the "Software Update" from the apple menu on the toolbar gains no response, nothing happens. If I run the software update from system preferences, the application icon appears for a second, then disappears (as in the blank app. icon, the blank canvas with the pencil, pen and ruler in the bottom right corner). It does this every time I try to run it. It did work when the computer was crashing, but this started when on one of the occasions I ran the app. while it was crashing. Since this occured during the crashes, and still occurs now, I'm wondering did something simlar happen minecraft, as it's sound disappeared during the crashes and is still gone now.
However, the computer is now working again without crashes, which is the main thing, thanks for helping me fix the issue

Only top left quadrant of AVI DV files shows in High Quality mode

AVI files that have NTSC DV video in them only show the top left quarter of the image throughout playback when I have checked the "Use the high quality video setting..." option in Player Preferences. This occurs with direct captured footage and footage rendered out of my video editing program. Any solutions? The DV footage looks horrible in low quality mode, and makes it hard to know if your shots are actually rendered correctly, so I'd rather not have to use that.

I am having the same issue, It plays ok on my Mac Pro, but when I play it on my XP pro machine, it only plays in the top left quarter of play window.
Have seen this question in oter threads here, but they remain un-answered. Hope someone can help with this issue, as it is quite annoying!

Media Encoder in settings mode only shows the lower half of screen

All of a sudden, my Adobe Media Encoder CS4 is only showing the lower half of the screen in Settings mode. This is how it encodes from the .wmv file to .avi. and is therefore corrupting the file. Does anyone know why this has happened?

Call your local Apple store. Not sure how the phone system works in the UK, but here in the US there is a menu system that allows you to make an appointment. Or, you can go online to www.apple.com/retail, or you can use the Apple Store app and make an appointment there after selecting the particular store.

Find My iPhone only keeps a history of locations after you put it in lost mode. It also has to be online to provide an updated location.

I have 2 wireless networks in my condo, one of which is very poor (ATT Uverse built in router) the lag from router to laptop is noticeable, and the router i perchased that is .N complaint, and obviously better. sometimes my laptop grabs the ATT one first, when this happens I have to turn off airport, wait a minute turn it back on and hopes it grabs the right network because I can't choose a different network once it picks one, it only shows whatever network it's connected to once it's connected. I'm sure this is due to the huge growth in wireless networks and the list in urban areas would be quite long, but it's still annoying. any fix out there?

In the "Network" panel of System Preferences you can check the box for "Ask to join new networks". If you click on the "Advanced" button you can remove other networks from the list of "Preferred Networks".
