WRT54G and WUSB54GSC - Are they compatible?

I am having trouble connecting my WRT54G to the WUSB54GSC. The connection is intermittent
and/or cannot connect to the internet. I did get it to work once briefly but then it wouldn't work after re-boot.
System is a Dell 4300S desktop, which has only low speed USB hubs. Windows XP is the latest version (with service packs). Three other laptop computers in the house have no trouble connecting.
What I have tried so far:
1. Rebooting computer
2. Using wireless network monitor to connect (can't connect to Internet)
3. Using Windows XP wireless zero configuration utility to connect (stops at "acquiring network address")
4. Manually entering settings to connect
5. Downloading and installing new version 6 firmware for the router
6. Changing the frequency channel
There seems to be a conflict somewhere between the Linksys devices. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi……
After upgrading the Firmware to the router, reset the router by holding and pressing the reset on the back panel of the router for 30seconds. Once this is done reconfigure the router again.
Then log into the setup page of the router with http://192.168.1.1 username leave blank and the password is admin. Under the wireless tab change the channel to 11 and on the advanced wireless settings change the Beacon to 50, Fragmentation Threshold to 2304 and the RTS Threshold to 2307.
This should keep a stable connection with the router and the adapter.

  • MBeanMaker WLS7 and WLS8, are they compatible?

    Hi,
I'm developing a custm Security Provider. I notice that my SP works only on the
version with it has been made.
I wonder if MBeanMaker from WLS version 7 and WLS version 8, generate MDF compatible
    with both version?
Also I currently don't use BeanMaker to create the MBean JAR File (MJF). I use
javac and jar because BeanMaker/MJF is not very flexible. Does that could be the
    origine of my problem?
    Thanks,

should work. Could you please post any errors that you are seeing? With WLS8 I get:
javax.management.MBeanException: Errors loading Commo MBean types
In fact, the printstack is very long: 5028 lines!!!
    I put the file here:

your XML MDF file. I am not sure how you are creating these without
using MBeanMaker. May be that is indeed the problem. To make the Security Provider, as far as I know, there is 2 steps:
    - so I use BeanMaker -DMDF to create the files.
    - then I don't use BeanMaker -DMJF to compile and make the jar.

  • I have a sony handy cam model HDR-HC1 and a mac pro running osx10.9.3, are they compatible? as far as downloading movies from my handy cam. thanks in advance

i have a sony handy cam model HDR-HC1 and a mac pro running osx10.9.3, are they compatible? as far as downloading movies from my handy cam. thanks in advance. If not, is there a different route i can take to get those recordings in to my mac pro?

See if the cam shows up under Devices in the Image Capture app.
Image Capture is located in your Applications folder.
Launch Image Capture then connect the camera.
The camera should show up under Devices top left side of the Image Capture window.
Now look at the bottom left side of the window. Click the: Connecting this (device) opens: pop up menu and select an application to import your photos.
You can also select a folder to import photos from the Import To: pop up menu.
Selet the photos you want to import then click Import or Import All on the right.

  • Is Adobe Dreamweaver and Muse the same as Web Suite?  Are they compatible?

I currently have Adobe Creative Cloud.  My friend is building me a website using Adode Web Suite.  Is Adobe Dreamweaver and Muse the same as Web Suite?  Are they compatible?

Dreamweaver is NOT the same as Muse.   These are two very different products aimed at different users.
Muse is consumer level software for hobbyists and non-coders with little web experience.   Dreamweaver is pro-level software for experienced web developers. Coding skills are essential.  More than likely, your web designer is using Dreamweaver.
Muse is only available by subscription to the Creative Cloud.  Dreamweaver can be obtained on a single license, in a product suite or by subscription to the Creative Cloud.  See Product Comparison Guide below for details:

  • If I buy creative cloud and save my work to a USB, and another computer only has creative suite, are they compatible?

I don't know which to buy, creative suite 6, or creative cloud, which seems to have more. but are they compatible with eachother?, if I save work to one and another computer only has the other, can it recognise the other program and I can still use both?

Those are the collective names for suites for several different software titles. Creative Cloud has about 29 different software titles.
File format incompatibility affects different software in different ways. Photoshop, Indesign may have issues but Dreamweaver will probably not.

  • If i have model A1811 should/can i download lion in order to get icloud? Are they compatible?

If i have model A1811 should/can i download lion in order to get icloud? Are they compatible?

A1811 is simply the white or black plastic case non-Unibody MacBook. Any one of 17 different models.
To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info (and then System Report if you’re running 10.7 Lion). When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The model 1,1 cannot run Lion all the others can run Lion but you'll have to max out your RAM and upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard first.
You can upgrade from 10.5 to 10.6 with no problems. Any program that runs under 10.5 will run under10.6. You might have to upgrade some drivers for printers, etc.... And you will have to install Rosetta if you have any Power PC applications http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/snow_leopard_installing_rosetta/   I recently upgraded an older MacBook (model 1,1) straight from 10.4 to 10.6.
To upgrade your iLife and iWork. If you only want iPhoto or other single apps from iLife '11 you can get them from the App Store after you've upgraded to 10.6.6. iPhoto, iMovie or Garage Band for $15 each and Pages, Keynote or Numbers from iWork '09 for $20 each.
You can order a Snow Leopard 10.6 install disk for $29 as long as you have at least1gb of RAM and 5gb of free space on your hard drive. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY
Once you are at 10.6.8 you can buy Lion for $29 from the App Store if you have at least a model 2,1 MacBook. Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.

  • The new firefox 33.1 and 34 are not compatible with my school Blackboard account

I have used Firefox since it was first introduced. I prefer it to MS Explorer. However the new Firefox, 33.1 and 34 are not compatible with my school Blackboard account, so I had to delete Firefox and use Explorer. I would prefer to use Firefox. Is an earlier version (Prior to 33.1) still available?

It's been a few years since we have had many questions about Blackboard compatibility with Firefox, but overall the problems in that past had to do with either Blackboard not updating in a timely manner ''[which I don't think is the case any longer]'' OR the school wasn't running the latest version of Blackboard software ''[which considering the current state of many government budgets, may be the case now.]''.
''It appears that - http://www.blackboard.com/ - is a new or greatly modified website, as the bookmarks I have saved for reference pages on their website come as 404, so I can't find the information I have used in the past.''
My advice is to install Firefox Portable ESR to your hard drive for use at that Blackboard website and continue to use Firefox 34 for other purposes. The "portable" version will instal and use a Profile that is totally separate from your regular Firefox installation - so you can have two separate Firefox versions installed without any problems.
    http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-portable-esr
'''ESR''' stands for Extended Support Release.

  • What are these and what are they useful for?: and

I have seen these symbols being used in Java: << and >>, what are they and what do they do?
    Thank you.

As DrQuincy asks how is this of use over multiplying
and dividing? In your processor there are often different instructions for shifting, multiplying, and deleteing. Typically the shifting instructions take less time to execute and so using the shifting operator will be faster than multiplying. This assumes the compiler doesn't recognize the situation and optimize it out though.
The >>,<<,>>>, &,|,and ^ operators are mainly useful when you need to deal with individual bits of data. For instance if you are talking to another system (thats not java) that uses a different method of storing numbers (little endian/big endian etc.), or doing something such as creating parity data for error correction. There are lots of things to do, but most a low level and its rare when you need to use them.

I am freeing up some space and am using osx lion, but i have 12gb of back ups, how can i delete these and what are they?

    Gotcha.
Back-ups are what they are: a safety copy. If you feel you don't need them, you can trash them. They could be of a previous System if you upgraded, or something else. You wont get the full picture from looking at system profiler.
You may want to look into getting an external drive and offloading some stuff to it.

    Hi,
Table pools are special table types in the ABAP Dictionary. The data from several different tables can be stored together in a table pool or table cluster. Tables assigned to a table pool or table cluster are referred to as pooled tables or cluster tables.
This table are similar to the CLUSTER table types but these work on "LINEAR SEARCH" while CLUSTER TABLE uses "BINARY SEARCH to retrieve the data from the various tables and thsi is mainly used in the logical databases "LDB's" used in HR or ABAP-HR.
A table in the database in which all records from the pooled tables assigned to the table pool are stored corresponds to a table pool.
The definition of a pool consists essentially of two key fields (Tabname and Varkey) and a long argument field (Vardata).
Table Clusters Several logical data records from different cluster tables can be stored together in one physical
    record in a table cluster.
A cluster key consists of a series of freely definable key fields and a field (Pageno) for distinguishing continuation records. A cluster also contains a long field (Vardata) that contains the contents of the data fields of the cluster tables for this key. If the data does not fit into the long field, continuation records are created. Control information on the structure of the data string is still written at the beginning of the Vardata field.
    Regards,
    Samad.
