WRT54G Not Letting Some Websites Through

Hi I'm using a WRT54G some of the websites. I have taken the WRT54G out of line and the websites come up, then when the WRT54G is put back into line it blocks some of the websites. I have tried playing with the security settings and still have no luck. Is there any areas for me to look in and change? I'm running Windows XP and Norton Security and a cable modem. Like I said why I remove the WRT54G and run off the cable modem I receive the websites just fine... These are my wife's websites so I'm getting an ear full..... Thanks in advance.

Presuming you have AutoFill enabled, in Safari preferences, save Usernames and Passwords, then I would suggest the consideration that some websites block this facility in web browsers to enhance security. These are usually financial / ebanking sites, but it may apply to others as well.

Latest version of SimplePass not registering some websites

I am troubleshooting an issue that I have with the most current version of HP SimplePass (v. 8.01.27) in Windows 8.1 and  Internet Explorer.
For some websites after signing in, I do not get the prompt to save the password.   Is this normal behavior for the SimplePass application?
Can someone confirm whether or not SimplePass is suppose to work on all websites requiring a username and password login?

It is frustrating, is it not? One would think there would be a definitive answer to a simple inquiry.
There may be such an answer; I doubt you will find it here.
In particular, the Series 8 HP SimplePass code might be a simplified version of a larger program written by Softex (Omni) that is provided for Enterprise contracts.   This is a personal observation based on nothing more than conjecture.
Assuming for the moment that this is indeed the case, the full blown, Enterprise program (for which companies pay a great deal of money) may indeed work differently. The algorythm used to detect website logins may be differently written and may be more sensitive to the many different methods that web designers use to integrate User Name and Passwords into a Web page. It may even be possible, given a fuller, more intellgent program, that one could use a User ID code along with the User Name.
More simply said: I suspect the HP SimplePass version of the program is "only so smart" and that the code used to read Website login code is only smart enough to read a limited number of Webpage login methods. If the Website deviates outside of those methods or if there are errors in the Webpage, then Poof! HP SimplePass fails to read the Webpage login.
Again, these statements are entirely based on conjecture and assumptions.
You are running Series 8 HP SimplePass.
The older, no-longer-updated, AuthenTec Series 6 HP SimplePass program might be a bit more robust than the newer Series 8 program. Although Series 6 is indeed "older" code, it was written by an entirely different set of programmers -- by a different company -- and it may respond differently to the same Websites. Series 6 HP SimplePass works with Firefox and Internet Explorer.
You can "Switch" Series; you cannot "downgrade". The programs are "hostile" to one another. You must remove Series 8 prior to installing Series 6.
There are not guarantees, regardless. Many computers, notebooks or desktops, can run either Series 8 or Series 6. Whether yours is one of these, is something you can decide to try. Joys and Burdens of being your own boss and all that.

New WRT54G at home, some websites not rendering???

I installed a WRT54G a couple of weeks ago and I noticed this weekend a few sites not rendering, in particular ESPN.com. When I bring the same laptop to my office, plug it into my network, no prob whatsoever.
My network is pretty much all macs (I do run Parallels on my MacBook with WinXP, and Explorer didn't work either) and the 3 machines all with the same behavior. I also had problems with Disney Channel.
Anyone have ideas of what I can look at, or have experience with this thing. I tried changing the channel, and that didn't seem to have an impact.

Windows update installed 8 updates to my computer and now several websites are not displaying images or text correctly. Some forum looks like they were loaded in an extreme basic mode, another forum main page looks fine but sub forums are loaded in in the same basic looking mode, another forum only displayed 1 user avatar out of hundreds.
Chat/IRC clients wont load.
Everything works when I used IE.
I tried to follow the help thingies but was led to a dead link.

Firefox 6 does not display some websites correctly that is fonts and immage overlay one another.

Firefox 6 as with previous versions have a tendency to overlay fonts and images. This makes it difficult to read some pages. I sometime use Google and have problems with overlay. I prefer to use Firefox for its open source programming. Perhaps you can look into this and let me know details. If you would like I can send you a couple of websites so you can observe the problem.

My huawei 3G data card is not letting me access through wifi, i have checked the device and it is working properly can anyone help?

i am facing problems in accessing my huawei 3G data card.
i am not able to connect the data card via 3G, macbook shows it is conneced with the wifi with my data card but i am unable to open any website,
secondly my laptop is not detecting my data card whin i insert it directly in USB port, while i try to connect the data card with my laptop through a USB extender, it detects it in few seconds only?

What in the world does this have to do with using an iPhone?

Firefox will not open some websites. It pops up a window - Connection has timed out. I have tried clearing history & cookies but that does not solve it

WRT54GS not letting multiple computers connect at once.

I have a problem where my router will only allow one computer to access the internet at one time. Ie, if I am downloading something on my computer and my wife gets on the internet on her computer, my download abruptly stops. This is the same with all of the computers on my network except for the laptop which is wireless.
I have the newest 4.71.1 firmware and I believe everything is setup correctly. The problem is fairly recent and I didn't have it before with the same settings.

I reset the router by holding the reset button for over 30 seconds. I rebooted everything again too. I then hooked up my main computer, went into the router settings and made sure everything was set up right. I was able to surf around on the main system no problem. I then plugged the second computer in and it too was able to surf the internet no problem. I started a big download on the second computer and then I opened up Firefox with the main system. As soon as I opened Firefox, the download on the second computer abruptly stopped.
I'm therefore right back to where I started again. Only one computer can access the internet at one time. As there are now only two computers plugged into the router (wired) and they're showing different IP's and I'm still having the same problem I'm going to assume the router is just plain dead. To think that these Ver. 2's are supposedly more stable than the newer versions! I've already ordered a replacement D-Link Gaming router.

After searching other users questions with related problem, I found that VirusBarrier 6 was the issue. Reconfigured settings there and problem solved.

I didn't search before, but "you are not alone" (the thread [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/747424 In Verizon's Sitebuilder for webpages, I can not edit text boxes when using Firefox. I can only guess about the reason... Firefox works with many websites' "rich text" editors, but ones that haven't been updated for five years may assume that Firefox is the old Netscape browser and use scripting techniques that don't work in Firefox.
If Verizon has a different "basic" or HTML editor that you can tolerate using, you could try that. It might not be subject to the same incompatibilities.
If I someday get a Verizon account, I will surely be looking into this further, but for now, it's hard to suggest anything else.

Will not let me log into my account on some websites

Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a new problem with the iPad mini I only bought yesterday.
Everything is set up, verified etc but on Safari it will not let me log into some websites e.g. Missguided. Speaking to their customer serviced their website is totally fine so must be something wrong with my Ipad?
Can someone please help me as I don't want this to happen every time I try logging into an account online?

You may have installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
