WRT54G (v5) DHCP problem (MAC, APPLE, MAC OS) -- How to fix it

Ok, so I just got some instructions from Linksys support and apparently definitely got rid of the DHCP problem. Here they are:
Please reset the router before and after the upgrade.
To reset the router (make sure that the modem is disconnected when doing a reset):
1. Locate the reset button of the router at the back panel.
2. Hold the reset button for 30 seconds using a pen or a paper clip.
3. Release the reset button and unplug the power adapter of the router.
4. Leave the router off for 30 seconds then plug it back in.

To do a firmware upgrade, you can follow the steps listed on this link:

Reset the router again after the firmware upgrade. You can then reconfigure it for Internet and wireless connection.

No, my new Mac Pro system does not have USB port on the Keyboard, cause I've opted for Apple's wireless blue tooth mouse and keyboard.
I do have 2 USB ports on the Apple's 23" LCD display, and Two USB ports on front side and two available USB ports on the back of the Mac itself.
During the Thanksgiving long weekend, I think I might accidentally singled out the cause of my problem.
I have my HP printer and one multi-card reader constantly pluged into the two USB ports at the back of my Mac, and always tried to use the front side USB ports for the 1GB USB Pen Drives, and that's where the problem lays!
When I unplug the Multi Card Reader from the back USB port, and suddenly all USB ports on my Mac works just fine with the Pen Drives!!!
So, for now, I plug the Multi Card Reader in one the the front USB port, and the rest of the USB ports on the Mac work with Pen Drives flawlessly, it seems that I sloved my problem for the time being...
As for those two USB ports on the back of my 23" Apple Display, They can not take my USB Pen Drives, as you've mentioned that it does not have enough power for the USB Pen Drives.

What exactly happens between the the time the printer was last working well and no on your system? Any updates or upgrades?

I am use WPA 2 with AES
and useing MAC Filering
i have 1.02.2 7/02/2007 Firmware for the WRT54G V6
- i think it may be the Firmware

The firmware is the most current one on the site. There are no other options than that. Anyway what kind of DHCP problem are you having? Is your laptop getting "limited or no connectivity" when you try to connect wirelessly to the network?
Don't use AES. Most cards are only compatible with TKIP.
What kind of Wireless MAC Filter are you using "Prevent" or "Permit Only"

what happens if you create a new apple prores 422 sequence and drop bars and tone into it.
Does it display correctly? If so, I'd assume the the prores codecs are ok.
Not sure I"ve worked with hdv2 material. You may need to reinstall your os and fcp and not do the latest software update. People have definitely reported problems with hdv material after the update. Maybe someone will speak up with an alternative solution.

I recently updated my software on my iphone 4 to the iOS 5 and ever since i have had no service. I have been on the phone constantly with at&t tech support and apple. Tech support cannot figure it out and said they think my problem has everything to do with the new software. Apple is saying it has nothing to do with the new software that it is probably something to do with my phone itself but i was not having this problem until i updated the new software. Is anyone else having this same issue and if so any ideas on how to fix it?

Yeah, it´s happening in normal 3g coverage area, in fact, i used the 3g to download the iOS but after installing it, the phone doesn't get the 3g anymore.
I tryed the reboot pocess, but it didn't fix it
I haven't tryed the restore to factory settings process,

I am very new to updating my iPod touch and this is the first time I've used the iCloud. However, I am having problems accessing any apps on my iCloud such as photos, reminders etc. I've set it up on my iPod touch successfully and I can sign in on my PC. However, when I try to access any of the apps it says there was a problem. It doesn't tell me how to fix it or what the problem is.

Well nobody tried to help me so I got on the web.first if you try to paperclip reset and nothing,try this:hold the paperclip(you need both hands) and hold play/pause at the same time and disengage paperclip and you get rescue mode this is how I fixed it once,their are four options:clean disk,reboot and two more.CLEAN DISK AND RE-BOOT ONLY!Because the second option will clean out your library!If that does'nt work and if it says:"hard dri've problem" after trying several times you have to smack it on the palm of your hand and after three smacks it went back to normal!(By the way it fell off the countertop with the protecti've case and that's when this night time nitemare began,milk and cookie insomnia cure!). A few weeks ago I dropped my Extra and had the same problem, it was now out of warranty so I figured I had a paperweight, so when I ran into this thread I figured I had nothing to lose., and gave it firm whacks on my palm, (the first one didn't work) To my surprise it powered back on, and now seems to work. I transferred new songs to it and it is now charging up again. I admit this has all occurred in the past hour so I don't know how permanent this is, but it does give me hope. I would like to emphasize though that this was a last ditch effort. I had tried going into the recovery mode and got a hard disk problem error so none of the regular options would work.

WRT54g router DHCP problems (I think)

I just got a wrt54g wireless router for my organization hooked it up and started having problems. I set the router to use DHCP and *tried* to set the “Maximum Number of DHCP Users:” to 15 and clicked “Save Settings” but when I went back to that screen it would be back at the default (5), I have since tried to change it many more times and no matter what number I pick (2-230) it still shows up as 5. Anyway. 1st I connected my XP notebook and was able to access the internet (specifying that my computer obtain the IP address automatically) Next I connected my colleague’s vista notebook and he could access the internet. (specifying that his computer obtain the IP address automatically) Next I connected another colleague’s xp desktop (specifying that my computer obtain the IP address automatically) *Next* I tried another colleague’s XP notebook computer and started having problems. I specified that it should obtain the IP address automatically but it would not and kept getting a 169.254.x.x address instead of one like 192.168.1.x (it also keeps showing a subnet mask different from the one I specified on the router). I went back to my notebook (which had been working fine) and discovered that now (without my making any changes to my notebook) I am having the same problem. I am now having the above problem (computers not receiving addresses automatically) with all but one or two computers (the vista notebook continues to work). Someone on usenet suggested I try putting in an IP address manually so I did and it worked but #1 I need more than 5 computers to be attached at one time (the router refuses to accept any number higher than 5 [though I can specify *less* than 5, it will for example remember 4 and 3]) #2 The router should be assigning IP addresses to all the computers, I shouldn’t have to be putting in the addresses manually.

Did you try to flash/reflash the routers firmware? Try that and reset the factory default settings and cycle the power. Then reconfigure the router and let us know if it continues to do that.

Invalid .Mac account name? How to fix?

I seem to be progressing further toward getting Photocasting to work, but this time, after quite a lengthy time after hitting "Publish", I got an error that said something to the effect of an incorrect .Mac account name or something like that. How can I fix that? Is there some place to control the .Mac settings iPhoto uses for photocasting? Or something else?

Do you have your information correctly entered in the .Mac System Preferences?

When I sign on to firefox, the main screen disappears to the right. I tried to minimize, maximize, f11 full screen and even reinstall - same problem. Any ideas on how to fix?

This issue has not happened before and just started yesterday. I have not installed any new programs and have no idea what may have triggered it. The program is running - I just cant see it.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in [[Safe mode]]:

Aha! I see the problem but don't know how to fix it. Multiple IDs!

Over the years, my apple reliance has increased. I have two different email addresses in a bizarre combination on my iMAC, iPhone, and iPad. It prevents me from doing backups completely, getting the latest version of some apps, and using the cloud as it was meant to be.
IDs, next, are shortened to make this more readble.
My iMAC uses an itunes ID called TAR. This is where I have bought plenty of iTunes music, but always export to MP3 -- so if I have to trash this ID it'd be ok.
My iPad shows an iCloud ID of TNT, an iTunes store ID of TAR, and my appleID as TAR.
My iPhone shows an iCloud ID of TNT, and an apple ID of TAR. I have purchased some apps and I fear not using TAR on it may nulify all of those purchases.
Should I simply DELETE my iPhone and IPad iCloud accounts and then create new ones on those devices with ID of TAR?
Please advise! What do I need to set where so that I have one and only one email address for everything.
If this is NOT the cure to my problems, what else can I check? (Eg. when I do a backup in iTunes on my iMac it says that my iPhone and iPad are not recognized... yet it proceeds with a backup MOSTLY. Authorizing/reauthorizing it from the iMac seems to make no difference.
The password guesses and resets over the years have been insane, as you might have gathered.

yeah, remove the icloud accounts, and choose to keep the data on the device when you do so. then, when you sign in with the other id, it'll ask if you want to merge, and you will. then all your information will be in one id
