WRT54G V6 VPN Times Out in 3 minutes

I have an WRT56G V6 and just started to have issues with accessing VPN. I worked about two months ago but when I returned from a long business trip I can not longer access my companies VPN using the Router. If I bypass the router I can connect.
It will typically connect and time out in about 3 minutes. The Companies IT director says that he sees the disconnect as a "user initiated disconnect".
Anyone have ideas?

You should upgrade the Firmware on your router...Click here and download the Firmware...
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device: -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...
Then, unplug the power cable while holding down the reset button for another 30 Seconds...
Plug the power cable back in, and keep holding down the reset button for another 30 Seconds...
Release the reset button...Now re-configure your router...It should not disconnect you from your VPN now...

    I have the WRT54GS router running v1.50 firmare that has 2 wired and 1 wireless connections to it. However there are frequent occurrences when the connection would simply time out, and any program that requires a constant connection, such as chat programs or online games, would disconnect. The time out session would usually last a few seconds, maybe 15-30 seconds, and then everything returns to normal. It occurs on all computers at the same time and happens roughly 3-4 times an hour.
    I contacted my ISP to see if the problem is on their end, but it doesn't seem to be so. They show me as being connected the entire time.
    Is there any fix to this? It's getting extremely annoying.

    Hi... Login to the setup page of the router and Reduce the MTU to 1423. Also try to upgrade the firmware to 1.50.9.

    It looks like my process is timed out. Is there anything that I can do for it to not time out like this?

    Before the transaction was rollback issue it got failed while invoking the DBAdapter and it is showing the below issue:
    Can you please look into this and let me know if any thing required and we pass the payload by standalonely through EM Console it is working fine.But normal order processing it is showing the below error.

  • WRT54GX v.2 Connection to Contivity VPN Times Out

    I have a WRT54GX ver.2 that works fine with several wired and wireless computers in my home. When I try to connect my company-provided laptop, either wired to the router or wirelessly, it times out "Unable to connect". When I bypass the router and connect directly to the cable modem it works fine. What do I need to do, change settings, etc.? If you need additional information on my network or ? please tell me how to get what you need.

  • Report times out after 60 minutes

    I have SSRS 2005 integrated with MOSS 2007 on Windows 2003 R2 and one of my reports takes about 65 to 75 minutes to process. On my production box the report generates and is displayed on the SharePoint site. On my demo box, which has fewer resources but
    still adequate, the report fails with "The page cannot be displayed" after 60 minutes and the job continues to execute to completion in about the same time as it does on production without the report being generated. There are no errors in SSRS,
    SharePoint, or IIS that I can find and it appears that all configuration files for the two servers match. Where would be a good place to continue with troubleshooting this issue?

    You could check the below logs and see why it takes so much time for generating the report.
    1. SSRS execution logs.(check the TimeDataRetrieval/TimeProcessing/TimeRendering columns)

    3. Capture the profiler trace in SQL Server. (Check the backend query duration in SQL Server to fetch the data)

  • Session time-out and password security

    I have a webservice utility, deployed on several platforms (as an EAR on weblogic and webspere, as a WAR on tomcat), they all exhibit the same feature: on first connection, a username/password box pops up, but after the session times out (after 20 minutes or so of inactivity) and the it receives a new page request, instead of re-asking for the username/password, the app just jumps back to its own start page, and then continues without asking.
    How can I make it to pop-up the username/password box again?
    The security is implemented through the web.xml file:

    Hi Michael,
    Your web application is currently configured to use BASIC authentication.
    Instead if you use FORM-based authentication, then any new request (after your web application session times out) will be redirected to the login page. The Servlet specification has more information about FORM-based login.
    If you have a Sun ONE Web Server 6.1 or a Sun Java System Web Server 7.0 installation you can find a sample that uses form-login in the following directory

    When I ran a report in the WEB, If the report is heavy I'm getting a time-out after one minute (in the Analyzer there is no time-out). Which parameter controls the time that the report runs in the WEB before the time-out?

  • Downloading 2.2.1 update times out and error message

    Trying to download 2.2.1 update. It says it will take 2 hours (about 220 MB). Then about 45 minutes into download it says session has timed out. Check network connection or try again later.
    Anyone know how I can remedy this and complete download?

    Another question. When it says "try again later". Would the download be faster if I tried in the middle of the night when/if the apple site is not so busy? Or am I totally off the mark and that has nothing to do with the time issue?
    Is 2 hours normal for the 220 mg 2.2.1 download? Is there a reason the connection times out after 45 minutes of a 2 hr. download? Is that the apple site doing the time out or my ISP?
    Sorry for all the questions. There are apps I want to download that need the 2.2.1 and I am only at my buddies house with WiFi on the weekends.

    When I am running the BOMUpdate web-service with a BOM containing 1771 Bom components it times out after 10
    minutes. A BOM Update with 1071 components does not time out, but anyway take about 4 minutes to finish.
    Have anybody experience with BOM Update web-service and can give me a hint about how long it normally should take?

    Hi,
    You can try splitting the load to multiple buckets and running each bucket in a separate thread. I assume you can safely run 10 concurrent threads to import BOMs assuming BOMs are independent from each other.
    Also instrumentation of the database side and identifying any bottlenecks there (for example specific SQL statements that take significantly longer than the rest) can provide opportunities for further performance improvement without core modifications.

  • Software update stalls and times out

    Recently when running Apple Software Update on my laptop (running Vista), I've noticed that when trying to download either of the pieces of software available in the update system (VoiceOver 1.3 or MobileMe Control Panel), that it stalls with 1.1 MB remaining and times out after several minutes. I've tested this on Windows 7 with the same result and have attempted to fix by removing/reinstalling, as well as repairing the software, but to no avail.
    Is there a workaround for this issue? I know for sure that VoiceOver is asking to be downloaded via Apple Software Update, and I hope the 404 error on the MobileMe Control Panel has righted itself.

    Created a webcenter spaces site in Oracle 11g PS3 and set a session timeout on the weblogic server as 60 minutes but the session times out at 45 minutes itself.

    Session timeout is probably a setting in the web.xml
    You have to modify the web.xml and not the one in weblogic console.

  • All Apple updates time out. But through a VPN, it's fine!

    Something might be wrong with Verizon Fios in the NYC area. Since last night, any download from Apple times out. Also http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ reports a speed of less than 1Mbps. Connected to a VPN and everything worked normally. Verizon support guy said nothing was wrong, but someone please tell me why this is happening?

    I've experienced the same problem here in Massachusetts.  At first I thought it was an Apple problem, but then I tried downloading iOS 8 via cellular and found it to be orders of magnitude faster than my FIOS 75/75 network despite speedtest showing full speed capability!  
    I then tried downloading from Apple through my company's VPN on my home computer (same computer, same physical network as my FIOS setup) and was able to download iOS in about 8 minutes (about 7mb/sec) versus 11-12 kb/sec without the VPN.
    This is outrageous for a supposedly high-speed network.  Does anyone from Verizon monitor this forum?  I'm reluctant to get involved with a level 1 support call on this, as it's clearly not a problem at my end.

    Hi Jennifer @ Verizon
    A simple reboot of the router and cantenna is not going to permanently fix this issue. Its been going on at least since August 2012. The issue is a bad software on the cantenna and its affecting areas such as KY, GA, TN, and OH.  I have emailed the manufacturer of the cantenna, I think its PCI and they emailed me telling me that its a known issue but no idea when it will be fixed. It could be a few week or a few months or possibly at least a year.
    I think what Verizon should do is refund the money including installation and any fees paid for the service to all affected customers and take down the service until fixed or find a new manufacturer for the Cantenna or work with the engineers with PCI to come up with firmware fix asap. This issue is obviously affecting enough customers where telling your customers to wait is not going to work anymore. I don't mind waiting if I know that a fix is definitely coming and an actual date. Its very frustrating to have a company not support their customers in coming up with a fix on this asap such as a solution within the next 2 weeks. I was in the middle of taking another exam and got an F on it because your service disconnected me.
    I think I might join the bandwagon and if this issue is not fixed by the end of January 2013 I'll be calling for a full refund. I am not confident that a permanently fix will be generated by Jan 2013 which is sad. Is anyone else with me - I mean what is it going to take for Verizon to come up with a solution on this permanently. The sad part of all of this is Verion tells me its an issue with a firmware on the cantenna and the manufacturer of the cantenna tells me to  be patient and wait for a fix and when I pressed the issue some more, the manufacturer of the cantenna tells me Verizon has to approve the fix but Verizon says they are waiting for a fix from the manufacturer. So, I am not sure what it is.
