WRT54G wireless is trying to load but doesn't get anywhere!

I have a macbook and a WRT54G with the latest firmware (just updated) and my router just stopped working out of the blue. With airport on, it says I have full signal level and its logged into my account...when you attempt to load a page, it just keeps trying to load but it either doesn't get anywhere, or takes 10-15 minutes to load a little bit of the site (google). Hard connection from comcast modem works fine so I know it isn't my Internet connection.
I also have a hard line from the WRT54G to my DirectTV box, which I connected to my macbook and that doesn't work either, so I think I've eliminated a wireless only problem. Do these things just crap out sometimes or am I missing something? I tried with tech support and they couldn't seem to help.

When you Hardwired your computer to the Router are you able to Browse Internet on your Computer ? Since you have upgraded the firmware on your Router, have you Resetted your Router and Re-Configure all the settings on it back again. If not then Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

I don't have the disk and i tried the shift key and it didn't do anything, i have tried like everything but it won't work and i was givin this computer with a charger and that is all nothing came with it and i don't think that it had the lion thing on it either i never got to that it just won't turn on and i have another mac that was a family members but it won't turn on either at all it won't load anything the screen stays black. so i don't really know at all what to do is there anything else? i don't want to take it anywhere because i have no money for that, and i need this computer for school. Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Further to my last post, I find that swiping right/left over an individual song does produce a "Delete" button. I don't have any direct experience with D-Link equipment, but I may be able to provide some general advice. See if you can use a Web browser to connect to the D-Link's configuration screen. This probably involves visiting a URL such as http://www.192.168.0.1 . If you haven't changed the sign-on parameters, a quick Google search should find them for you.
Once there, note as many configuration details as you can find. You'll need those to configure your Time Capsule.
Use the AirPort Utility to configure the Time Capsule.
One last thing: It's quite possible that the Verizon network will have locked onto the "MAC" address of your D-Link router. Something needs to be done to reset this. If there's a separate box at your house that came with the FIOS equipment that's "upstream" from the D-Link router, I'd cycle power on it to see if that does the job. Otherwise you'll probably need to call Verizon to ask them to reset things once your Time Capsule is installed in place of the D-Link router.
