WRT54G3G with Huawei E630 (upgraded to 7,2)
Is there any plans to support Huawei E630+ (7,2 mbps) with this router?
Will it be possible to use it with new firmware? When new firmware should be available?
I've upgraded card to new version and it stopped work with it and I can not downgrade ....

i just got of the phone with linksys helpdesk and thay told my not in thees words but yhe message was **bleep** OFF and buy a nother card.........
I have now called Huawei in China (morrons) , and thay told me that hay have a number in denmak that i should call but no awnser , then i called the english department and i was transfered 8-9 times to some one who couldent help me , then i landet at a person who was sorry about my treatment at offered to help.
she got my number and will get the person who know any thing about E630 to call me..
now im waiting..... i will post more when more come.....hopefuly....

Lightroom 4 crashes when trying to open the slideshow module. I spent over three hours with both Adobe and Apple tech support and we know it is a permission issue but have not been able to get it solved. It started with the last upgrade to 10.8
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
The first step should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select

They changed it a bit, but you can still close apps. Double click the Home button to pull up the currently running apps. Side scroll over to the app you want to close, then swipe up on the app *window* (not the icon at the bottom).

selling macbook Pro 2011. It came with Lion, I upgraded to mountain Lion and Mavericks. Can license be transfer to new owner? how?
Good question now that Mavericks is free to all.
It used to be - and is probably still the case - that to comply with the license you should erase and re-install the OS that came pre-installed on the Mac when new. If there were restore disks they needed to be passed on with the Mac.
I'm happy to be corrected on this by someone who's more au fait with the legalese, but an upgraded OS is tied to an AppleID whereas the original OS is tied to the computer, not an AppleID.
My guess is, that if you launched the Recovery HD, erased the drive using Disk Utility and re-installed the OS, Lion would be installed.
Be interesting to see what others say. -

Hello I formatted my iMac today and wanted to download iphoto again but after i press the button to install it in the app store nothing happens! same with the yosemite upgrade.. In the iPhoto ratings there are alot of other people facing this problem I hope somebody can help me. thank you in advance
If you have OS X 10.6.8 as you state you can not get iphoto form the App store - you must have Yosemite OS X 10.10. installed to download iphoto 9.6 from the App store
If Nothing happens then you need to contact App store support - link is on the right of the App store window

Just purchased Adobe Acrobat XI, when i download it and select run a tab appears with title 'Confirm Upgrade of Acrobat Pro' i select continue, another tab apears stating 'Error Encountered' - Acrobat installer encountered and unexpected failure. I have PS 4,5,and 6 installed on my Macbook Pro as well as Lightroom 4 and 5. Can I remove PS 4 and 5 and LR 4? PS 4 is the total install and PS 5 and 6 are upgrades. LR 4 is the full package with LR an upgrade.
I need space!First let me disabuse of a misconception: All Adobe upgrades are FULL installers. Whether you buy them as upgrades or new versions does not make an iota of difference. The upgrade installers do not need to find a prior version installed, they just prompt you for the old serial number as well as the old one, and they do not rely on the old version in the least.
Second, the time to uninstall an older version is BEFORE upgrading to a newer one. Otherwise, the uninstaller from the older versions will mess up with your new install. There are a gazillion files that are named the same and in the same locations as the new one.
Your best bet now is to uninstall ALL the Photoshop versions you have installed, including the newest one, one by one, then run the Adobe CS Cleaner Tool, then run Repair Permissions from Apple's Desk Utility, and finally re-install the latest version.
The other alternative, if your boot HD is large enough (very doubtful in case of a laptop like a Mac Book), is to leave all versions on it.

The standard CPU configuration for this PB will handle up to OS 8.1. Can one go beyond that (ie OS 8,6) with the PPC upgrade?

Although you can give a PB 500 a new heart, the rest of the circulatory system remains the same. 680x0 upgrades to PPC are not supported by OS 8.5, let alone OS 8.6. If the upgrade to PPC includes a logic board upgrade, you can expect greater things. -

There are, however, lots of calendar apps in the App Store. They will used th same data as th built in app and sync just the same way. Many of them are quite customizable or, at least have different backgrounds. Some that I like are Week Cal, Fantastical, Cal, Tempo.
