[WRT54GS] Forward a port in a different port

Hello,
I have the wireless router WRT54GS v1.1. Its software version is v4.71.1
I would like to forward a port (for example 80) to a different port of my server on my local area (for example 8080).
So when a user connects to the url http://domain.com, the request is forward to the port 8080 of my server.
I have found in the configuration page of my router, the forwarding port but the target port can't be specified.
Is it possible ?

It's very harm. I hoped that with an update or a telnet connection on the router, I could modify a missing menu :-)
I am probably testing the 3rd party firmware like dd-wrt. Have you got a good feedback ?

Port forwarding to different ports on the Linksys WRT54GS.

As you can guess, I have a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router...one of the original 1.0 versions with speedbooster. Behind this router I have my standard set of machines with dedicated IP's and a set number of IP's for additional devices to acquire IP leases dynamically via DHCP should I bring them home. One of these machines with a dedicated IP is my Debian file server. This machine is headless and without keyboard. It just sits in the corner of a room and hums along. I use SSH to remote into the device to perform maintenance, shutdown, restart, etc.
My question is this. I would like to know if the WRT54GS can be configured with "unassigned" WAN facing ports (such as 7468) to forward to "assigned" ports such as 22 which is used for SSH. In this way I can leave the default settings for SSH on the Linux machine but have 7468 as the SSH port when connecting from other computers on the Internet. My goal here is to reduce any script kiddies or other malicious code from being able to target the well known port 22.
In the Games & Applications setup you can find port forwarding and port triggering. It appears that you can only forward by port range. See this link. It gives a start and end to the port range. This appears to only forward a range of ports to the destination IP which is not really what I want to do. Do I need a hacked firmware version to accomplish this?

you can set the same port number on the port range...
as for the assigning a specific port for a specific machine, I doubt if it's possible with the a Linksys router...you may need a hacked firmware for this. Or you can DMZ just on the Linux..

RV220W - Port Forwarding - Different Ports

Hey,
I have a RV220W with 1.0.3.5 Firmware installed.
I also have a few servers with services I need to expose to outside the network (RDP and some websites) where the external port is not the same as the LAN port. I could accomplish this with my previous router using port forwarding and it looks like I can do the same here on the RV220W but I can't quite get it to work successfully. I would be grateful for any help / directions.

So here is how Port Forwarding is set up on the RV220W with firmware 1.0.3.5
In my example I needed to setup my :6001 to forward to an internal address for remote desktop, 192.168.1.12:3389.
First, as detailed above by Robert, set up the custom service you want the public address to be listening for. In 1.0.3.5 I found this under Firewall > Advanced Settings > Custom Settings. Add a new service speficying the name, protocol, and ports. For my RDP connection It was "RDP", TCP, and the Start Port and End Port set as "6001", the port that was listening publicly.
Next go to Firewall > Port Forwarding and add a port forwarding record. And set the following values.
Action: Always Allow
Service:
Destination IP:
Forward From Port: Same as incoming port
Forward To Port: 3389
Hit save and that should be it. The problem I was running into is I was setting the "Forward From Port" as the port I wanted to have translated, so 6001. This is already specified with the custom service I created, so when setting it twice it wasnt working.

OHS not able to redirect to two different ports of the same managed server

Hi
I need to redirect to different ports of the same managed server (say M1, M2) based on the availability of the managed server. ie when managed server M1 is busy handling other requests i need to redirect my new request to M2. i already have this mechanism to find out which managed server is free.
so now the problem is if M2 is free how would i tell ohs to redirect it to M2 server??
M1,M2 both managed servers are hosted at host1.example.com.
M1 port - 8001
M2 port - 8003
my context root is /YpsSupplyPlanningEngineService/supplyPlanningEngineService
my mod_wl_ohs.conf is defined as:

The final request string generated is correct.. but still this fails in my java code (where i send request).

Windows 2012 R2 RDWEB on a different port number

Hi All,
I am having a big problem at the moment.
When I launch apps on the Windows 2012 Remote Session Host server it keeps prompting for credentials.
I have 2 VMs under Hyperv-2012 R2:
VM1 is an Exchange 2010 server with OWA on port 443
VM2 is a Windows 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Session Host server which is also on port 443 for the gateway.
Both servers have a domain verified SAN certificate installed.
We only have 1 public IP address and HTTPS goes to the exchange server(OWA). There is a rule in the router for this.
To access the RDWEB I thought I create an inbound rule on the router to redirect traffic on port 1443 to port 443 an point to the internal IP address for the RDP server.
Therefore when from outside I type:
httsp://mail.domain.com:1443/rdweb, I get to the logon page after I supply my credentials, but when I launch the remote app I get the logon prompt repeatedly.
Then I changed the HTTPS in the router to my terminal server instead of the exchange server, and it works perfectly.
But I need port 443 for owa.
So I went in the RD gateway config and change the port in there from 443 to 1443 thinking this would do the trick, but it does not.
When I tried to access RDWEB from the outside it prompts again.
Are there any other ports I have to open for this to work on port 1443?
Maybe it has to do with the digital certificate not working with non standard ports?
Any help appreciated.

1. What is the name on the certificate assigned to the various RDS purposes listed in Server Manager -- RDS -- Overview -- Deployment -- Certificates tab?
2. Please run the following commands in an administrator powershell prompt:
Import-Module RemoteDesktop
Set-RDSessionCollectionConfiguration -CollectionName QuickSessionCollection -CustomRdpProperty "gatewayhostname:s:yourgateway.domain.com:1443"
In the above please substitute the public FQDN for your RDG server (mail.domain.com.au:1443).
3. In RD Gateway Manager, Properties of your server, Transport settings tab, please set both TCP and UDP ports to 1443.
4. On your firewall, please forward TCP port 1443 and UDP port 1443 to your RDG server.
5. Please double-click Set-RDPublishedName.ps1, agree to run it if you get the security prompt, and then enter the FQDN that matches what is on the certificate you are using.
6. After completing the above please refresh the RDWeb page if you have it open already, and then reply back with any error messages you may be receiving.
Please note that if you are using the same FQDN as your Exchange server you may need to reconfigure things a bit in order to make it work. For example, an outside user connects to the RDG using FQDN of mail.domain.com.au, then the RDG will attempt
to connect to mail.domain.com.au (internally), and of course it will be connecting to the Exchange server using the internal ip address. That is why I was suggesting a different name (and certificate) for your RDS server, like remote.domain.com.au.
It would be a single-name certificate which is inexpensive.
The DNS records both internal and external.

Multiple entries in ARD with same ip, but different ports?

I always learn so much from these forums...thanks to all of you who take the time to answer.
I established 5900/3283 for my primary mac (mac 1) behind my router at home and then configured port forwarding to have a public port of 15900 mapped to the secondary machine (mac 2) at 5900. I have dyndns set up in my router and when connecting from the outside with ARD to the dns name without specifying the port, it connects to mac 1 without problem and reports mac 1 as the name in ARD. Great, no problem.
When I add the 15900 port to the dns name, ARD still shows the mac 1 as the name, but connects to mac 2. Can I fix this to correctly reflect the name of Mac 2? Also, it does not seem possible to have two clients in the ARD list with the same ip address, but different ports. Can this be fixed? Lastly, how do I connect 15900 and 13283 ports in one listing for the port forwarded mac, i.e. how do I enter xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:15900 and xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:13283?

Multiple servers with same IP but different ports - problem listing in ARD

Hi - I have no problem connecting to multiple Macs behind a single IP (router) using different ports, port forwarding, dyndns, etc., etc.
The problem I'm having is that in the list of computers in ARD, it won't let you have more than one with the same IP address. When you create the second with the same IP, it clears the first one, giving it an IP of 0.0.0.0. They are on different ports, but that's not counted as part of the IP, so it still gets cleared. I use different dyndns domain names, but ARD instantly converts them to an IP when creating the entry, so that doesn't help either.
Are there any workarounds?

SSTP VPN - client different port

Hi everyone,
is it possible to use SSTP VPN on different port then 443? I now, that is is possible to change listening port on server, but i need to change port on client.
My scenario: one public ip not only for ours company. On firewall port 443 is not available.
Firewall receive data on port eg. TPC 5000 and translate to TCP 443 and forward to server.
Is it possible?

You can change the port in regedit .But it is not recommended .
Backup first before you make any changes .

ARD won't save multiple computers with same IP and different port!

I'm trying to access multiple computers over the internet behind a firewall with port forwarding.
I can access each computer, but ARD won't save the IP address and port (in IP Address column of ARD 3.1) of multiple computers with the same IP address. It will only save ONE. I've tried 'add by address', adding a list for each computer or adding a list for all those computers. Nothing has worked. ARD will actually change the first computer's IP address to 0.0.0.0
Example: Static IP address
Computer 1 xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:51 (public port 51 is forwarded to port 5900 on computer 1)
Computer 2 xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:52 (public port 52 is forwarded to port 5900 on computer 2)
Computer 3 xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:53 (public port 53 is forwarded to port 5900 on computer 3)
Has Apple really overlooked this or am I missing something? Isn't this how most people would remotely manage multiple Macs offsite?

ARD cannot do this as you're asking. If your
workstations get their addresses from an NAT device
rather than being "real", the ports also need to be
forwarded in the router to the workstation's internal
IP address. ARD uses port 3283 for the reporting and
updating function, so if your Macs are getting their
IP addresses through NAT, since you can only forward
a port to a single workstation, you can only get
reports, push package/files to etc. for a single
workstation.
ARD uses the VNC protocol for observation and
control, though, and there are a range of IP
addresses for that protocol, starting with 5900. ARD
uses 5900 by default, so that port would be forwarded
to the first workstation. You would, I believe, need
to install VNC servers on the systems (since the ARD
client cannot listen on any port other than 5900
while VNC servers can be set for other ports such as
5901, 5902, etc. You would then forward 5901 to the
second workstation (and on to 5902, 5903, etc.). You
can then use the following information:
Remote Desktop 2: How to specify a port number
for a VNC client
to connect.
The only other options are: 1) to run the ARD
administrator on a workstation on the network, and
then take control of that system from outside, either
via VNC or another copy of ARD, or 2) set up a
virtual private network (VPN) so that when you
connect from outside, your admin system is officially
part of the local network.

That definitely helps. I have ARD installed on my MBP and on a workstation on the LAN. I have used ARD from the MBP to control ARD on a workstation on the local network, but it can get a little tricky. I already have VNC setup on all the workstations. I used to use COTVNC prior to purchasing ARD 3.1.
I guess what I'm really asking is...
How do I add a list of workstations and save the settings (same IP address for each workstation with different ports?) to control/VNC via ARD?
I simply want a list that shows each workstation, so I can control/VNC them using ARD offsite.

I don't want to have to manually type in the IP address into ARD every time.

Problem when we created the managed server to configure different ports.

I am trying to configure different ports for admin console and my communication service as we can’t share admin port to the outside world.
So that only admin can access admin console using admin port.
And out side clients can access my webapplication using different port.
For this i have created the managed server in weblogic.and I deployed the application on managed server.
Now admin server is running on 8001 port and my Communication Service application is running on 7001 port.
But when I tried to configure MBeans related to myCommunicationServiceApplication those were disapper on admin console. And the other wlng services are appearing on admin console.
1. Since my application deployed on managed server MBeans registration happened from myapplication hence it’s disappear on admin console.
Now If I want to configure Mbeans (related to my communication service) how can I configure it?
2. My communication service using configurationStore module and other wlng services.
When I tried to start my application on managed server I got the below error:

Today I faced a simlar issue, and this SAP Note helped me fix it: 1966807 - Duplication of AET table records in change processing
In my case, cardinality of AET table was 1:1, and I was getting duplicate PARENT_ID every time when trying to create a subsequent service request for my activity.

How to use the same OC4j server with different port number

How to use the same OC4j server with different port numbers..?
I have to OC4J installed on my machine on different hard disk drives....
I want to be able to run both the server simultaneously..?
is it possible ..it yes then how..?
for that i have changed the port number of one server...
but when i am trying to start the other server with different port number..it says that JVM -Bind already...
Is there any clues...?

In the config directory:
default-web-site.xml: Change the port the HTTP listener listens on
jms.xml: Change the port the JMS service listens on
rmi.xml: Change the port the ORMI listener listens on.
Or, you can add another web-site.xml file, and deploy your applications to 1 server, and bind the web applications to the different web sites. This way you only have to deploy your applications to 1 place.

How to use a different port in RMI

Hi ,
We cannot use default port 1099 in RMI due to some restrictions. I want to user port: 8000 instead.
Can some one please help how to use a different port?

Bug with using 2 certificates on a different port on the same machine

There seems to be an issue with using secure connection to the same web location but on a different port.
It is slightly difficult to recreate exactly but very often when one of the connections has been negotiated and the (self-signed) certificate added to Firefox when connecting to the same URL but placing a different port in the browser I get the error...
(Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)
It appears to get in a muddle as to which certificate should be used for which port. They have both been downloaded and the port number appears to be available in the certificate selection process but an error occurs nonetheless.

I belive you can, I think my friends Apple TV is connected to their internet via an Ethernet cable, and we use Airplay sometimes using our iPads that are connected to the same network via WiFi. It should work as long as they are both connected to the same network. However, I don't have an Apple TV of my own, so don't take this as a solid answer.

I have two instances in a server. both have different homes. I want to create a seperate listener for the second one i created.
But that is not happening.
