Wrt54gs - only one pc won't connnect to the internet?

i recently reset the router and everything seems to be working fine - except for 1 computer using windows xp. it says it connected to the network, and the signal strength is great, but it can't connect to the internet. on the network connections page, there aren't any wireeless networks, even though it says it's connnected to one. could someone help? it works fine on every other computer

After a router reset, you do need to setup your wireless network again in the router. For example, you need to re-enter the SSID, encryption method (if any), and encryption password (if any).
Also, in the non-working computer, temporarily turn off the software firewall, including Windows Firewall, and see if this helps.
If you still have problems, then read on:
Make sure your network has a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you are using "linksys" you may be trying to connect to your neighbor's router. Also set "SSID Broadcast" to "enabled". This will help your computer find and lock on to your router's signal.
Also, in the computer, go to your wireless software, and go to "Preferred Networks" (sometimes called "Profiles" ). There are probably a few networks listed. Delete any network named "linksys". Also delete any network that you do not recognize, or that you no longer use. Delete your current network (this will delete any old settings). Reboot computer. Return to "Preferred Networks" and re-enter your current network info (SSID, encryption (if any), and key (if any) ). Then select your current network and make it your default network, and set it to automatic login. You may need to go to "settings" to do this, or you may need to right click on your network and select "Properties" or "settings". Reboot computer. You should connect automatically.
If the above does not fix your problem, download and install the latest driver for your wireless card.

This started when I changed the port for cable modem access. If I shut everything down- router, MacBook, and iPhone and restart the router... the device I turn on first will connect to the internet. You are using your TC in the wrong way.. in bridge and it has to be in router mode.
Simply make sure you connect SB5100 to the WAN port of the TC.
Go to the airport utility, manual setup, internet tab on the bottom and choose connection.. ethernet.. and down the bottom connection sharing.. share a public IP.. sorry I don't have the exact wording as my TC is in pieces being fixed.
Update and then shut off everything again, particularly the modem.. start everything in order.. modem.. wait 2min.. then TC.. wait 2min then all the computers .. they will get an IP from the TC. With correct address and gateway.
What was happening is the first device to turn on was capturing the one and only public IP. The rest get local IP without connection.

My printer was working fine. I hadn't used it for a few days. Now, all of a sudden it says it's not connected to the internet. I don't know if it's because it's giving a hardware address for MAC or if it has the wrong IP address. I can't figure out any way to give it the new IP address.

OK, that all looks good. Is the firmware updated on the router? Have you restarted the router (pull its power plug momentarily)?

Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go. You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

Am i the only one who when trying to enter the code for creative cloud activation ?

I give up,i have been trying to activate a 3 month subscription for CS6 from Staples and every time i try the code it will not work. I have used the chat live and spent about 3 hours already going nowhere. I do not like talking on the phone to some help desk overseas and the only thing i think left to do is to return the junk.

I tried all that and even took a picture of the numbers and blew them up so a blind person could read them and had 3 others read them off. A simple way to fix the problem is get someone on Adobes staff to find a font that most people can read from whatever product the stick it to.

Hey John,
Not sure if it helps or not, but I know sometimes with codes like that its really hard to tell certain characters apart, O - like in Oscar versus 0 - number and number 1 versus lowercase L like in Lima.
Might test entering it both ways if you have any suspect characters?

A Sub query like this can only return one column, not serveral like here with the star *. Replace the star by one column Name that you want to query.

If you uncheck all of the songs, they will only play if explicitly commanded. Command-click in a checkbox and they will all be unchecked. Command-clicking again will check the all again should you want to do that.

Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto.
Restore from your back up is the easiest solution.

WRT54G won't connect to the Internet

I'm hooking up a new router, a WRT54G, version 6. During setup, it won't let me connect to the Internet. I get to the part where I change the admin password, and each time I try to connect, I get a message that tells me that my cable/dsl router won't connect to the internet, to unplug and try it again. I do that, but it never works.

Use the Airport Utility or log into your wireless device via http and ensure the DHCP/NAT service is enabled. If accessing via HTTP, you will need to manually set an ip within your local subnet (eg: 192.168.0.x).
