Wrt54gs....stuck on step 8
The history; purchased wrt54gs on 03mar. followed instructions on disk EXACTLY until step 8 i can not now get past step 8 a box appears asking me for a password,(dont get confused not the box that appears with username that you leave blank and type admin in below it)if i type the 198.162 etc thingy in my address bar the page does not appear and i lose all internet connections. i have to reset the wrt54gs AND power it down to get back internet service, or just bypass it and plug my cable modem straight into tha pc. I am currently using the internet as per connections set down in the instructions,but i can't get into the wrt54gs . i have even downloaded the esylink connection software but it says i have no internet connection!! well hello i am on the internet now. i internet is coming through the wrt54gs but i(my pc) cant speak to it?????? I would be gratefull for any help.

You can try the following:
1. Disconnect the modem from the router. It could be causing some conflict within the connection.
2. Press the reset button of the router for 30 secs. Note: This process will reset the router's settings
3. Check the PCs IP address on the Command Prompt. It should be at IP: 192.168.1.x / DG: 192.168.1.1
4. If you are getting the above mentioned DG add, test if the PC will communicate to the router. >>> type "ping (space) 192.168.1.1
5. You should get 4 replies.
6. Launch Internet Explorer and type 192.168.1.1. Press Enter / Go.
7. Do you have the the login screen for the router?

I recently upgraded to to the iOS 5 on my iMac and iPad. Now when i sync my iPad it get stuck on step 8 with a prompt that says "waiting to copy items" it stays on like that for hours. Reset your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

I completed the most recent software update for both iTunes and iPhone recently. I am now trying to sync my iPhone to add newly purchased audiobooks and the sync remains stuck at "Step 4 of 4" with the message "Waiting for changes to be applied" I have tried everything to correct this. When sync is cancelled a failure to sync message is generated. Any ideas????
Alright, so I reset my computer and suddenly it then recovered. Other times it wouldn't recover after resetting the computer, so I have no idea how it happened. I just restarted the computer lots of time and finally it worked.
Okay, back to square one. Now to transfer music, I tried my previous acknowledgable solutions but they didn't work. The iPod touch does not feature a hard-disk mode, and windows media player doesn't support iPods.
I've tried multiple programs to transfer music but none of them work properly and keep giving me error codes. So my iPod still gets stuck at Step 4: Waiting for changes to be applied or whatever it said.

p.s - Apple is useless. If I don't get steady answers tomorrow I'm going to end up calling them and get this problem fixed first hand. Second hand? I don't know, over the **** phone.

Please help. Every time I try to sync my iphone with itunes it gets stuck at step 2 and just spins. I have iTunes 10.6.3.25 installed. I've even shut down and rebooted. Nothing helps.
Based on what someone else said, I am getting the "rotating ball of eternal sadness". Yup. That about describes it.

My iPod Touch Gen 5 will no longer synch with iTunes on my computer. Only change since this happened is update to iPod to OS 8.1.1 iPod synch remains stuck in "Step 8 of 8"
On your computer go to the control panel (hover in the lower right corner) then programs, add/remove programs
Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Service, Apple Application Support then go to apple.com and redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again.
You won't lose any content, you're not deleting that, just the programs that access them.
What is thought to happen is that sometimes a new version of itunes doesn't update the drivers in those other two programs. The only way to update the drivers is to force it by uninstalling the programs which allows itunes to write the correct ones.
My iPad and iPod did exactly the same thing and this is how I fixed it. -
My iphone will not sync music, I have done it many times before , there is 4,6 GB space it just remains stuck at step 6 of 6 for over an hour, any ideas what is wrong?

last night i attempted to upgrade to the most recent IOS - after that was done, i attempted to sync my phone
got a message that said that 'Itunes has detected a Iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this Iphone before it can be used with Itunes'
I was unfamiliar with 'restoring' so i just unplugged my phone - which was then stuck....
i went to my local Apple store this a.m. and was told to go home and restore my phone - which i did and then it asked if i wanted to restore it again with my backed-up info - which i am currently attempting to do (see first line for current problem)
p.s. i started this process as 12:30 p.m.........................There is no fix. There are a variety of partial fixes that sometimes work for some people, but there's nothing that has consistently solved the issue. Just do a google search, you'll see thousands of forum posts about it.
It's a bug in iTunes, and we're all hosed until Apple fixes it. Which they have shown zero desire to do (I've reported the bug to them through multiple channels multiple times, and they simply do not care). -

If you are stuck at the blue screen then you can try booting into safe mode (hold shift during boot) and then run disk repair. If that still doesn't fix it then you might have to reinstall OS X. What version of OS X are you running?

TFS 2010 to TFS 2013 Migration stuck at step 13

We've been trying to migrate our TFS 2010 collections to TFS 2013, but we always get stuck at Step 13 of 793. We tried 3x already. For the first try we waited around 8 hours, and decided to just restart. On the second try, we waited for more
than 13 hours and still no joy. And the third try is still going.
We are using Windows Server 2012 R2 for both Application Tier and SQL Server. Windows 2008 R2 for Sharepoint Server. SQL Server 2012 with SP1 Standard for the SQL Server.
Our TFS 2010 is a single server setup (Windows 2008 R2). And we are migrating now to a tiered architecture (a separate machine for sharepoint, another for SQL Server and another for the application tier). Could this be what's causing the 'stuck'?
I've followed the ALM rangers document, followed the requirements (i.e. Windows version, SQL Server version, etc), read articles from forums and I think we've done everything that we need to. Note that we tried migrating to TFS 2012 ages ago and it did
migrate successfully, but we're thinking TFS 2013 is available now so might as well go to TFS 2013. Do we need to migrate to TFS 2012 first? But that's what the documents say, TFS 2010 can be a direct migration to TFS 2013, right?
There are four collections in our TFS 2010, and the other three migrates fine. It's the DefaultCollection that is getting stuck. The default collection is around 170GB in size. When we did the migration to TFS 2012 before, it was 150GB in
size and finished in around 5 hours.
Can anyone let me know or point me to the right direction on how to address this issue? I've looked at the logs and can't see anything that stands out; no errors mentioned. Is there anything else that I could look at? Or is ther any profiling
that I can enable to see what might be causing the issue? I've searched google and only found a couple forums that has the same issue. One was resolved because of the Max Parallelism and we did that one as well but still no joy.

QUESTIONS: I have an iphone 3gs.just updating to ios5. am at the stage where I chose to restore iphone via itunes. sync seems stuck at step 7 of 7: syncing artwork. Is this necessary and if not how do I get around it?
When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

Recently my pc crashed and I had to have a new profile built. Now when syncing my iphone 4s to the computer the sync gets stuck on step 8 and "syncing artwork" It never finishes syncing...just sits there for hours. Subsequently most of my music and apps are missing from my iphone because it never finishes syncing. How do I fix this?
1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

My wokflow stuck at step level

My workflow having couple of steps(standard tasks fore ground and background).
After completion of one back ground step workflow got stuck(that step is complted successfully,) but not moved to next step that is another back ground step. Here there is no error(dump) happened in workflow.

Status of the latest workitem is Complted, After that i have used Usedecision step in that step i have maintainaed one secondarymethod(Method before workitem Execution), but the problem is after compltetion of back ground step ( Status completed) next workitem ( for user decision step) not get generated.
I have checked the workflow for every step level, no error happened.

Trying to set up my new iphone 5c using the iTunes back up from my iPhone 4. It keeps getting stuck on step 2 of 5 "syncing calendars" Considering I hardly use the calendar I don't know why it would take so long. (18 hours and counting)

Does oracle reports server need X11 running? We dont run X on our prod servers. We can't really figure out why it needs it which the developers claims they need X running Are there any alternatives? We really don't want to start an X server here

10.5.2 Froze on Install...Is it OK to Reinstall?
So I let it install for over an hour and a half and it just said it was installing receipts or something. I ended up just force restarting my computer, and after it rebooting twice over, it booted into Mac OSX 10.5.2. But I'm nervous it'll be unstabl
