WRT54GS - Unable to connect no matter what I try

OK, I give up. After a VERY brief power outage during a storm, (it didn't even last long enough to have to reset the microwave), I can't for the life of me connect wirelessly. 
First off, I DO have internet service when I connect directly via ethernet to my cable modem.
When I connect the linksys to my cable modem & connect via ethernet, I get both a link light & activity light on my pc,  I have an ip address but cannot get online. I've upgraded the firmware, performed a hard reset and power cycled but still no luck. Can anybody tell me if I'm missing something? I find it hard to believe that the router is bad as all the lights work as they should. But, to ME, I cannot think of anything else. Anybody?

Maybe I explained it wrong, let me try it again:
I can go online via my cable modem
I can connect wirelessly to the router but cannot get online
I cannot get online via ethernet port on the router while I have it connected to my cable modem. When connected via an ethernet port on the wireless router, I get a link light and activity light on the PC but cannot get online. In addition, I don't get my ISP's ip address or DNS when connected via ethernet OR wirelessly to the router.
All this after I upgraded the firmware, performed a reset, powercycled it, and started the configuration on the router from scratch
 Please let me know if I've left anything out.

    With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
    Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
    (If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

    I started a new role that requires me to interact with an Oracle DB using Excel.  Currently I have both the 32 bit and 64 bit Oracle clients installed on my Windows 7 PC. 
    Firstly I can TNSPing the database I need to connect to, I can also connect using SQLPlus to the desired database, I can even connect using TOAD.
    No matter what I try I cannot connect using Excel VBA (Office 2010 64 bit).
    The process below used to work for me in a different location, now the objDatabase always is returned "Empty"
    Set objSession = CreateObject("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession")
    Set objDataBase = objSession.OpenDatabase("database server", "user name/passsword", 0&)
    I am not even able to set up a simple ODBC connection working.  I get a error "ORA-12557: TNS:protocol adapter not loadable."
    When using a ADODB connection I get this error. Run time error '-2147467259 (80004005)':
    [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and default driver specified.
    I have place the TNSNames file in both Oracle Home's
    I have even reinstalled Office 2010.

    The 12577 error (12557: TNS:protocol adapter not loadable) is related to Windows Environment or Oracle Home PATH because sqlplus command works smoothly when I execute it inside ORACLE_HOME\bin.
    There are two solutions to this issue:
    1. Put the Oracle DB Home in front of the other paths in the PATH environment variable.
    2. Remove ORACLE_HOME From environment Variable and re-boot PC

    Yes, I have not made myself clear, I apologise.
    I have tried downloading apps from itunes in order to set up a game for my son, when I go to click on a link, be this in itunes, or on the web, Safari revolts back informing the address is invalid. I read by coping a link and pasting into the URL, this would do it, but not so.
    My goal then, is to install Minecraft for my son, I would then download an app to allow this but I am unable to get this far due to Safari insulting the address I ask it to go to
    The iPad is first generation
    OS 5.1.1 Software up to date.

    Error 1604
    This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
    If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
    Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
    Restore and wait for the error.
    When prompted, click OK.
    Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
    The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
    If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

    I have followed all the troubleshooting tips related to "lost" bookmarks, "unable to add bookmark," reset the toolbar," and no matter what I try (click on star, click on "bookmark this page") I cannot get the new download of firefox to add bookmarks. When I click on "Show All Bookmarks" nothing appears. The "Library" frame is totally blank.

    A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

    I have a blackberry torch 9800, I don't have a data plan. I use a wifi signal with other phones, but my blackberry doesn't allow me to browse or view apps online.  The error "unable to connect to the internet please try again later" appears.  The phone has a clear signal of the wifi, i've tried various other hotspots, my other phones work perfectly.  The blackberry says it's connected to the wifi, but no internet browsing is possible.  What else can I do other than rip the battery out to re-boot?

I set it up including entering the correct security code a number of time for the "wep" security options and it recognizes the network. I believe it's connecting also, but when I open my browser the message of "Unable to connect to the internet,please try again." pops up. I have a verizon account with a data plan, but due to not wanting to use up my data plan I switched it off as only to rely on my wifi. What can I do? I've updated everything and tried so many things.     Open Finder. Go to the "Go" menu in the menu bar. Press and hold Control and click on Library. Go to "Preferences". Find a file named, "com.apple.iTunes.plist" and delete that file. This won't delete your iTunes content. It will reset iTunes. Try it again.

    Hopefully you can get past the kernel panic screen, there are several
    ways to attempt to do that, however if the issue is hardware, a reinstall
    of the OS X may not cure the underlying cause of the symptom.
