WRT54GS v7.0 firmware link wrong

When I go to the WRT54GS downloads page (http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT54GS/download), select version 7.0, it displays firmware Ver.7.50.6 available, but the link actually points to the firmware for WRT54GS v.5-6, Ver.1.52.6. The release notes link also points to the release notes for the v.5-6 firmware.

it's fixed now. thanks

Dreamweaver CSS Mac writes image links wrong... <img src="/www/images/asian_sales_office.jpg" width="x" height="x" alt="x"> Took me a bit to find this, now back to hand coding all image links and also checking other code. Any fixes?

That looks to me like you may have your site definition set up incorrectly and you appear to be using "Site Root Relative" vs "Document Relative"
Go to Site > Manage Sites > click the  site you are working on > Click the Edit icon > Advanced Settings > Links relative to: should be set as Document, unless you have a very specific reason for choosing Site Root there
If your server root folder is called www, you'll need to remove that folder from your site root. You are only transferring files from root to root, so the name of your local root folder is not important (the files inside it go to the server root). It is important not to accidentally have a duplicate of the server root folder inside your local root though which would accidentally nest your files within another folder when transferring to the server.

  • WRT54G - Firmware problem - Wrong update of firmware

HI, I have a problem with my WRT54G V8 router.
I download a wrong Firmware and upgrade it.
After this my router never work again.
The PC can't get IP from the router.
I tried a lot of time to access to the web admin 192.168.1.1 and other IP and nothing happen.
I made a lot of reset cycles, with the procedures 30/30/30 or other with the reset button in combination with the power cord.
Exist any other possibility to recover my router.
Can I open and touch other button inside the board or something like this?
Or any other software...I tried the TFTP & other Windows utilities...
I am waiting for your help...
    Thanks.

And when I plug the network cable between 1-4 place I see that the light turn on/off like it is receiving information.
The IP address is not pingeable.
Cisco does not give another tool to recover it?
Do the upgrade via tftp again. Before doing it again do the following first:
Reset the router. Push and hold the reset button for 1 minute. After a minute, do not release the reset button from being pressed. Continue holding it and unplug the router's power cord for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds connect the power adapter to the router again while still pressing the reset button. When the adapter is plug in, wait for another 10 seconds and release the button. Ping the ip address of the router  192.168.1.1 using the command prompt.(remember the computer should be hardwired to the router and should be DHCP enabled).
    If getting replies:
    1. Set static IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway on the computer: IP: 192.168.1.10 DG: 192.168.1.1 SM :  255.255.255.0.
2: Force the card to 10 mbps half.
    3: Perform tftp.
    If getting rto:
    1. Set static IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway on the computer: IP: 192.168.1.10 DG: 192.168.1.1 SM :  255.255.255.0.
2: Force the card to 10 mbps half.
    3. Ping the router again and if you are getting replies already, then do the tftp. If not, you can try the steps again using another computer. If using another computer is not going to work then the router might be defective already.

  • Wrt54GS ver.6 took a big poo... DSL...cant get anything, firmware link is bunk? HELP

Hey there, having real trouble with my router, Im sure this thread is out there somwhere but I cant find it... so heres the deal, I had my router up and running fine, then out of nowhere puter crashed and with it my router.  Now I cant get the Customer service guys on the line and I cant even get the web-based setup to run.  Easy link dosent work, and I tried to update the firmware, but for some reason the link is either bunk or being rejected by my browser (even after I turned pop-ups on etc.)  I have been trying everything but Im at a loss I would really like to get this fixed before I blow a seal in my brain over this stinker.  Running XP SP2 with Quest DSL, dont know if it needs PoPP or what, but I cant get that far anyway... HELP

well.....try a few of steps and let me know if this works for you
    1)connect the computer to the router's port#1
2)reset the router for 30 seconds and do a power cycle
3)check whether you get a valid ip add on the computer (192.168.1.x) and whether you can ping the router
4)try accessing the web interface of the router
5)if successful , change the lan ip add of the router to 192.168.2.1
6)connect the modem to the router's internet port
7)go to the router's web ui using http://192.168.2.1 . click on the "status" tab and check whether it has an internet ip add
8)if there is one , try going online
9)if it is 0.0.0.0 , try setting up a PPPoE configuration . enter the username and password as provided by the ISP

  • Moderate NAT on WRT54G using tomato firmware

How do i get my NAT to open for my xbox live on a WRT54G v3 router using tomato firmware (latest version).
I opened ports 53, 80-88, and 3704 in the port forwarding, and UPnP is enabled. but i still get a moderate NAT, what am i missing?

    OK,
I ran some tests on my 360....
I have the latest updates XBox360 installed, see router details in my sig...It's a Buffalo, not sure how much difference that is going to make.....
contrary to popular advice I have seen, I have my 360 network settings on full auto (IP and DNS), no port forwarding, with UPnP enabled. I run the XBox Live connection test, and it returns no problems...no mention of NAT, moderate or otherwise....
So....I set my IP to manually assigned, DNS to manually assigned, and re-ran the test, and this time it gave me a notice that I had moderate NAT....
So, it appears that the answer may be to just set everything to auto on the XBox, enable UPnP on the router, without any port forwarding configured for the XBox, and you are good to go. With this config, when I look on the UPnP page in Tomato, I see:
    UPnP Forwarded Ports
External  Internal   Internal Address Protocol Description
    3074      3074       192.168.0.140     UDP      Xbox (192.168.0.140:3074) 3074

  • Lynksis wrt54g V5.1 firmware

Hello, i have tried to download upgrade(v Ver.4.20.8) for my wrt54g router it always says failed. Checked again if i downloaded correct software and always says same thing. i currently have Ver.1.00.6 and would be nice to get it updated. can anyone help me?

Just to make it clear, hardware version is different from the firmware itself. Selecting a hardware version not for your router will brick and render it unusable. I noticed that you have a firmware version 1.00.6. Your hardware version must be 5.0 or 6.0. So you need to make sure of this one before attempting to upgrade.
Going back, I downloaded the firmware without a problem. May you need to try downloading it using a different browser like google chrome, etc.
I've uploaded the firmware to rapidshare where you can download it. The link has firmware versions is 4.21.1 for hardware version 1.0. Just click on free user button if you don't have rapidshare account. You should be able to download it.
NOTE: Check the bottom of your router to make sure you have the correct hardware version. Disconnect all wireless clients from the router during the upgrade process. Make sure no wireless clients attempt to associate with the router until the upgrade process is complete.

  • WRT54G behind a D-Link switch - No internet on wireless

I have a WRT54G wireless router behind a d-link switch that leads to another switch, and then to a sonic wall router, then to a modem. I am attempting to use the wireless router for laptops in a conference room to connect wirelessly (obviously). I am not using the WAN port on the router, everything is through the LAN ports. Any computer that I hard-wire to it gets on the internet fine, any wireless connection can be established to the router, but no internet. I have not rebooted the modem. Also, the link from the switch to the router is a straight-thru CAT 5e. Am I possible missing a setting inside the router?

hi... logon to router's setup page and try changing the channel to 1 or 11, click on the advanced wireless settings and try reducing beacon interval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304, also try upgrading latest firmware on the router...and power cycle the entire network check whether it works or not and let me know the results.

  • WRT54GS v2.1 Firmware upgraded and wireless will not work

    Hi Everyone,
I have a WRT54GS v2.1 wireless g broadband router. I updated the firmware WRT54GSv3_4.71.4.001_fw.bin since that was what the linksys website said i needed. After updating the firmware on the router, my two laptops can see the router but are not able to connect to it. If I connect through the ethernet cord, then I can get online and access the admin page of the router. I have no clue if a setting got messed up or the firmware caused it to go nuts. Please let me know if someone knows anything.
    Thanks
    Delta

After you upgrade the firmware you are to reset the router by pressing the reset switch in back for 30 seconds.  When done, power cycle the router.  Now you must reconfigure the routers wireless settings as they are all gone.  Make sure the security settings on the router match your wireless settings.

  • Problem linked wrong Facebook account to student discount, how do I change it

I have two facebook accounts - one for business and one personnel, and by accident I have linked the wrong one to my student NUS extra account - how can I change it?
Sounds simple enough and on the sale of goods act UK I should be able to do it, but I forgot the problem with spotify is that there is is no-one to talk to, and though I looked at a solution on spotify it does not work on my mac.

Hi samhelene97, I was given the advice below by Peter, which ultimately worked.  Re: [Windows7] Spotify premium on wrong account [ New ]Options ‎05-11-2013 10:19 AMHey @mattiasskroder ! Welcome to the community :)
If you could get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they can get that swapped over for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • WRT54GS v7.5 firmware

Hi guys this is my first message here, so hi to all readers..
Ok, I'm experiencing some problem with the QoS feature of my router WRT54GS,
(in practice it's not so configurable as I want, but this is my problem ...)
so, I googled a lot but I didn't find no modded (or simply newer than mine) firmware for my v7.5 WRT54GS.
There is someone know if and when a new version will be available?
thank u a lot in advance!

This is a community forum.  People from Linksys rarely, if ever, respond directly in this forum.  No one here has any insider info on when new firmware will be released.
If you want, you can contact Linksys directly, by phone or by email.  Occasionally they have given out beta versions of new firmware to users.

  • Connecting WRT54G with Westell Versa Link router via wireless

    Hi,
I have a Westell wireless router from verizon which seats next to my phone in one part of the house.
I got very week signal from that router on the other part of the house so I decided to use a WRT54G version 2.2 router I had to improve the signal.
I can set up the WRT54G fine if i use a cable but I don't like that solution. It would be almost impossible for me to run the cable from one part of the house to the other.
So that let me with only one option. make the routers commuunicate with each other via wireless. I tried for several hours to make this work and I couldn't.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me if this is possible and if so what are the steps involved to make this work.
    Thanks in advance

    1. The results are far better running a cable than setting up a wireless bridge or repeater. Thus, unless it is really impossible to run a wire I would always prefer the wired option.
    2. A WRT does not connect wireless to anything else with Linksys firmware. It is a wireless router. They only provide an access point to which clients connect but the access point never connects to anything else.
    3. The only alternative would be to flash a 3rd party firmware. Those usually add repeater and/or bridging capabilities. See the wikipedia article on "WRT54G" for a start. Remember, a bad flash may brick the router.

  • Firmware gone wrong!!! MuVo T

I was trying to upgrade my MuVo TXFM today and plugged in the player, DLed the.exe firmware file and launched the .exe program. The Windows WIzard couldn't find the software and said on the bottom of the screen something like "Your hardware was not installed properyl, therefore it amy not work correctly". Now the player isn't listed when My Computer is clicked and when you right click My Computer icon, go to properties and then to Hardware> Device Manager then player is listed as STMP3500, but it says no drivers are installed for this device. I've tried uninstalling it and launching the .EXE firmware file again but ti keeps saying ERROR in launching C:WINDOWS\temp\CRF000\UpdaterApp.exe
What can I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated of course.
    Thank you!
