WRT54GS w/ updated firmware, Cannot find SPI options!

Question

Im having lag issues playing an online game and keep getting told to 'disable SPI'...I was even told that my router does indeed HAVE it, however I see no option in ANY of the router config screens...I have gone through them all over and over...
Also im using an nvidia on board lan, and for some reason the easy linksys installer seems to think my adaptor is disabled...it is not...but i have read that this is a problem, but so far hasnt affected my connection to the net..Would this be a reason the SPI option isnt showing up? Do i not have SPI? whats the deal here??

Look on the "Security" tab, the "Firewall" subtab.
There is an entry for "Firewall Protection" ----  enabled or disabled.
This is your SPI firewall.  You can turn it off here if you want.
The SPI firewall primarily protects your router.  It also protects the rest of your network.  In general, it should not be turned off.
Other options that you should consider would be to use "port forwarding", to allow certain data the right to enter your router.  Another option to consider would be using DMZ.  The advantage of these options is that only one computer on your network would be "exposed", whereas turning off the SPI firewall will affect your router and all computers on your network.
