WRT54Gv8 Works Fine, Until MacBook Connects to Network

Computer 1 = Athlon64 3200+ 2.01 GHz with XP Computer 2 = Toshiba laptop with Vista Basic Computer 3 = MacBook 2 GHz 10.4.9 Basically the network works fine with just Computer 1&2 connected, however minutes after Computer 3 connects it stops working. All the green lights are on and the signal strength is high, but everything just times out. I tried to fix this issue by upgrading the firmware to v8.00.2, however it always comes up with error message "Unable to get responses from server"

hi... reset the router back to factory default settings by pressing reset button on the back panel of the router...after resetting router, try upgrading firmware after upgrading firmware reset the router and reconfigure it check,whether it works or not, try tweaking up wireless settings on the router, change wireless channel to 11, go to advanced wireless settings and reduce beacon interval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304, change Transmission rate to 54Mbps, check whether it makes any difference or not.

It sounds like you don't have the AirPlay option on your iOS devices. Restarting your Apple TV and iOS devices was a good first step, and you can find some additional tips to guide your troubleshooting at this link:

If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

It could be that there's a new source of interference.

I wake the Macbook with external keyboard and the display shows up on TV just fine for a second or two then it looks like something changes and then it starts rolling.
It does not do this when Macbook is awake it only does it after it's put to sleep.

Probably the resolution is switching from a mirrored resolution to some other resolution that the TV can't work from. Try this; shut down the MacBook. Cable up the TV to the MB and also the external keyboard and mouse. Hold down the Shift key on the external keyboard, hit the start button on the MacBook and immediately close the lid on the MB after you've hit the start button. Continue holding the Shift key down on the external keyboard until you see the grey screen with the spinning gear at which time you can release the Shift key. The MB should now finish starting up in Safe mode with only the external screen being on. Hopefully the screen will not be rolling.
Once the MB finishes booting, go into System Preferences/Displays and set the resolution to the optimal/desired resolution for your TV. Hopefully this choice will stick through subsequent restarts and also correct the issue of the rolling screen under the conditions in the scenario you described.

Solved the problem by dumping my external HD onto another computer. Re-formatting and re-installing the data. Not what I wanted to do but it solved the problem.

Why does my retina MBPro and the projector go blank, when connecting with HDMI? This worked fine until the latest OS and firmware update.

Connecting through HDMI worked fine, until the recent firmware update and the 10.7.5 OS update. Now, both retina display and projector dosplay go blank, with the screen coming back when unplugged from the projector.

Clone your system.
Never apply updates w/o one.
And yes there is a page with all the Apple Downloads to do manually and then you can keep it on hand. Same for the OS X Lion or ML installer - save them before running. Still on 10.6.8 so you have OS X 10.6 DVD.
Combo updates do not do any harm. There could be issues to the drive directory beforehand.
Mac Pro has been shipping with Lion since summer 2011, though you can even now still reinstall iwth 10.6.4+

There is a good chance the printer is just getting auto IP internally..
Plug it into your TC. And then set to dhcp via the controls on the printer.
If you know the name of the printer it should be immediately available to the network.. but anyway, you can find its IP by printing out the test page. That will also give you the network name.
Most later HP printers have web access to the print servers.. just type the ip into your browser and see if it comes up.
From the Mac, you should then be able to set it up via the printer preferences. Most HP will just appear.. but if not you should perhaps delete the local version and then check again for network printers.

My macbook air was working fine until all of a sudden it froze.

I have a macbook air and everything was working fine until all of a sudden my computer froze. I then rebooted my computer by press & hold down the power key because it would not allow me to open or close any programs. After i rebooted it, the keyboard & touchpad won't work. i could'nt login to my computer because all the buttons on the keyboard seems to be not responding, only the power button is working. i am also not able to move the arrow around. i think the touchpad too is not responding. really appreciate it if anyone would share any feedbacks.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

have you tried removing and readding the e-mail account? sometimes settings get corrupted or changed on the server end...something computers can sometimes handle better than the mail interface.

1. Apple has removed sync services in OS X Mavericks. Therefore, you cannot sync Outlook 2011 with Contacts or Calendar.
2. Apple has removed the ability to sync through iTunes in OS X Mavericks, so that, even if you use Contacts and Calendar on the Mac, you can only sync them with your iPhone through iCloud, thus exposing all your contacts and calendar information to the mercies of the Web.
3. Microsoft does not not support CalDAV and CardDAV in Outlook, so there is no way to sync directly through iCloud, except perhaps by setting up a Microsoft Exchange account.
4. Apple makes it extremely difficult (virtually impossible) to revert to a version of OSX that is earlier than OS X Mavericks once Mavericks is installed.
In short, we are screwed and neither company seems to care.
