WRT600N not working with Mac OS X - Please help

I previously had a WRT54G and it was working fine (until it died) with my MacBook Pro laptop. I just replaced it with a WRT600N and the MacBook Pro is no longer seeing either of the two wireless networks being transmitted by that new router. However, when I boot the MacBook Pro in Windows Vista through BootCamp it sees the networks with no problem. Is the WRT600N incompatible with Mac OS? If so, is there or will there be a patch soon (and where can I find it)? I also have a WRT300N running and it is being seen just fine by both the Mac and WIndows sides of the MacBook Pro. The problem is only with the WRT600N and the Mac OS. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Try using WPA2 Personal - AES encryption, that is the only config that worked with my older WRTG54? router and a new macbook.

Same issue here. Contacted Verizon tech support, they had me reinstall media manager -- which did nothing. They had me try disabling mass media support and the media card support. Neither which worked. After 90minutes on the phone, the tech was contacting their "advanced support department" to get more info. I got fed up and hung up. Maybe they will call me back -- who knows.
The tech said that they might have to contact RIM to get it fixed. I am thinking verizon inadvertantly blocked media transferring -- like they do on all of their other phones. However, VCAST is not available on Blackberry phones for Verizon, so it is a stupid idea if they did it.

Geforce 750ti not working with HP P7-1240, please help!!!

I just got a EFGA Geforce 750Ti to replace the XFX Radeon HD5670 that I had in my HP p7-1240 (Got it in 2012, AMD A10 3.4ghz quad core, 10gb ram, HD 7660 graphics, system bios 7.07, updated to windows 8.1, etc)
I have been building computers for 20 years and this process is not foreign to me. I uninstalled the XFX drivers, put in the Geforce and it should of worked, but alas it did not. Instead it beeped, went to the HP blue load screen, stays there beeps and after a minute or two goes black. I have read all of the threads related to this issue and haven't found a conclusive answer.
This card is supposed to work fine with my computer's 300w PSU. Some people reported that other models of HP desktops needed a bios update, but HP doesn't seem to have one for my specific model. My motherboard is PCI-16 2.0 and that should also be fine...
I would love to actually get this thing working rather than returning it and going without...I would also love for someone at HP to comment on how to specifically remedy this.

Nope, it is not compatible with your PC. The 700 series card ship out with full UEFI vBIOS support, which the version 7 BIOS doesn't support. For some reason HP will not release the version 8 BIOS for these not-so-old PCs.
I would suggest buying the 600 series instead. They are almost the same as the 700s, however they do not ship with UEFI support, so it will work for you.
Also, that 300w PSU is not a good idea to keep using. If you were going to use that 750 Ti, you would have needed a minimum of 600w. You'll need about a 500w PSU for the 600 cards.

1. Insert the Leopard Installation disk into the computer.
2. The disk will appear on the desktop.
3. Double click on the "Optional Installs" folder.
4. Double click on the "Optional Installs.mpkg."
5. Click on (Continue) in Introduction.
6. Click on (Continue) in Software License Agreement.
7. Click on (Agree) to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.
8. Click on the disclosure arrow ▶ next to Applications.
9. Select (✓) iCal.
10. Click (Continue).
11. After iCal has been reinstalled, download and install the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update to bring iCal up to the most recent version.

USB superdrive not working with Mac Pro

Is there a trick to getting a USB Superdrive working with a Macpro?
The drive in the Macpro no longer ejects and have tried connecting the USB drive to both the front and back ports - does it not work with Mac Pros?
Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I had a problem my superdrive. It would play dvd's and cd's that were already burnt but would not burn blank DVDs or CDs- in the recent past it had no problems burning. In addition, the Finder would not display the superdrive. When I put a blank disc in it would go to Disk Utilities and would not allow burning. With help from Apple I discovered the problem-- The settings in CDS & DVDs had been changed from When you insert a blank DVD/CD "Ask what to do to to "GO to Disk Utilities". If this sounds like your problem try changing the settings to this:
Try going to; System Preferences/ CDs & DVDs
Change these two settings to this:
When you insert a blank CD: Ask what to do
When you insert a blank DVD: Ask what to do
NOTE: If they are already set to this you probably have a different problem. If they are set to Go to Disk Utilitiy this is probably a solution.
And
Then go to Finder Preferences
Make sure that under "Show these items on desktop:" that the checkbox for CDs, DVDs, and iPods is checked.
Try to burn the DVD again (reload Disc- perhaps restart) and try again.
Don't know how these setting changed but they did. It worked for me.

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

USB Mouse not work with Mac OS 10.6

I have a USB mouse can work with Mac OS 10.4 but cannot with Mac OS 10.6. Noticed the different is the USB mouse motion reporting is 12-bit instead of 8-bit. It can definitely work on Windows with standard USB HID driver. I wonder if the OS 10.6 is having a different USB HID driver specification which is not posted in USB-IF.

HP Envy 5530 e-all-in-one Does Not Work With Mac

Just bought an HP Envy 5530 all-in-one. It does not print through Safari and possibly other Mac applications. Does not frame the page properly even with "print page" and prints slower than 1 page per minute, even with no background images. My old HP had no problem with Safari. Phone support tells me there is no driver or fix. So I will return the device. Seems crazy. I now see othr commenters saying it doesn't work with Mac. If HP's no longer works with major Mac applications, they will be returned in droves. Anyone know why or know of a fix?

You should contact your bank to see what browsers they support and until then ignore the message. The chances are very good they suppport Safari and Firefox, both are great browers.
