WRT610n wireless LED flashes constantly

Should the wireless LED be flashing constantly even with the cable modem in standby? WPA2 is enabled, and no wireless devices (that i am aware of) are connected to the router. I was under the impression that the wireless led only flashed when there was wireless activity, but stayed solid otherwise.

Try changing your security passphrase and see if it does it, If it keeps on flashing within a short time just ignore it.
Some times the LED are not "correct" but the device is working as it should.
If it takes a day or two to have the LED to start flashing again like it is then tell us.

I have the following hack in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf:
[root@elitebook sigi]# cat /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf

options iwlagn led_mode=1
Had to put it there since an upgrade caused my wireless led to constantly blink. Since the upgrade to kmod its blinking again. Any hints on how to change this?

I want to add this FYI: since upgrading to 3.3.x my wifi led was also blinking again (driving me nuts).
Before I was using:
options iwl_legacy led_mode=1
But apparently iwl_legacy has been renamed to iwlegacy (wow! they saved 2 characters and made the name so much cooler! never mind compatibility!)
So using:
options iwlegacy led_mode=1
fixes the problem.

WRV200 Wireless LED Problem

Hi guys,
I just pruchase the WRV200, but aftre power on the router the Wireless LED is keeping flashing, already turn off any related wireless transit service like Boradcasting. But the LED keeping flashing in no any wireless connection.
Could you help me how to fix it?
I already upgrade the firmwire as 1.0.32.2.

I just double check with the router status show as below, don't know why router keeping sending packet thourgh wireless....

PowerBook G4 - Won't Start Up - 3 Strange Beeps then just LED flashes and sudden death - black screen.

PowerBook G4 - Won't Start Up - 3 Strange Beeps then just LED flashes and sudden death - black screen.
Prior that the powerbook also couldn't start but I could see the Apple logo, so via fire-wire (holding T at start up) I backed up the hard disk.
Check via DiskToolPro the structure, defragmented. Via DiskWarrior rebuild the directory
and finally not been able to access the drive I reformatted the drive via fire-wire drive.
Re-started the powerbook holding C to boot up from DVD - nothing
Re-started again and it give me one long beep and black screen. An indication that my 1gig RAM is bad or gone (?) and the DVD is stuck inside.
Bought new one 1 gig, installed it and now I'm getting only three beeps.
I tried all, changed the slots several times and nothing.
I tried more as:
                         c -- to boot from CD (again while the DVD is still inside and I cannot get it out)
                         cmd-opt-p-r -- to Zap the PRAM,
                         cmd-opt-n-v -- to clear NV RAM,
                         cmd-opt-o-f -- to boot into open firmware … and nothing. The DVD is in and I have
                                                black screen with three beeps and flashing LED.
Do I have to replace the Logic Board?   (Anyone has a spare one ?)
But it is the faulty Logic board?
Could anyone help me out? Please.
I'm retired and I cannot afford a new laptop - and this powerbook was a great, great horse for me until that horrible set of three beeps.

There was a known issue with LBs in 15-inch PowerBooks with 1.5 and 1.67Ghz processors in which one RAM slot would fail. There once was a repair extension program that fixed the problem at no cost, but it is long-expired.
The problem with seeking a used logic board for these models is that so many had their boards replaced that it increases the chances of the boards in the used/pulled markets having the same problem you have now. The replacement program also came close to exhausting the supply of new boards,
If it turns out to be a bad LB and you can't find a replacement, consider how used computer pricing works: A used computer is worth hugely more in parts than if bought as a working unit. I.E, you can probably find a working PowerBook that will cost less than the logic bard alone. It also possible to find a used MacBook Pro for less that a replacement LB.
If you tell us your approximate geographic location, we can see what's available nearby. I'm also retired, and and visiting my wife's family this week so have even more time than usual to help you search.

Select 360 printer: Paper Out LED flashing

Hi,
My trusty Select 360 is refusing to print; the Paper Out LED is constantly flashing. My research on this topic seems to suggest that there is a problem with the logic board.
A colleague had a problem with his Select 360 printer and no longer uses it. He has offered me his logic board as a replacement.
Will replacing the logic board fix the problem and, if yes, is it hard to do???

I ran the diagnostics. I got all 4 LEDS which means nothing wrong. I then ran the printer normally, and I could print a document right after it had switched on, but after the document had printed, I got the two flashing yellow lights again.
Also, when I ran it in diagnostic mode, it only printed one page, rather than two, and that page had nothing on it.
I am just running the diagnostics again...
Right. On-Off-On-On. Which is fuser assembly error. I though it might be something like that because most of the solutions to the two flashing lights seem to be doing something to the fuser.
So it seems to be a tempramental fuser.

Having a gateway there is not going to be a problem. We just need to configure the Time Capsule correctly to work with the 2Wire.
You will need one ethernet cable to connect the 2Wire to the Time Capsule and a second ethernet cable to temporarily connect your computer to the Time Capsule so that it can be configured.
The 2Wire you have now should already be broadcasting a wireless network, so once you have the Time Capsule setup, you will actually have two wireless networks there.
Here's how to configure the Time Capsule to work with the 2Wire:
Connect an ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on the 2Wire to the WAN (circle icon) port on the Time Capsule.
Connect another ethernet cable temporarily from your computer to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule
Open Hard Drive > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Base Station tab below the row of icons to assign a name for the Time Capsule, a device password (write this down) and adjust time zone settings
Click the Wireless tab below the row of icons
Wireless Mode....Create a wireless network
Wireless Network Name....Your choice
Radio Mode....Automatic
Channel...Automatic
Wireless Security...WPA/WPA2 Personal
Wireless Password....Your choice (write this down)
Check mark next to....Remember password in keychain
Click the Internet icon
At the bottom, change the setting for Connection Sharing to "Off (Bridge Mode)"
Click Update at the lower right and the Time Capsule will restart after 20-25 seconds and you should get the green light.
You should now be able to connect to your Time Capsule wireless network.
I'm not clear on whether you have tried to setup the Time Capsule to backup your computer. Post back if you need some info on that. We may need to start another thread for that as that will be a different subject.

LED flashing light and email notifications!

i just got the curve 9300 and before had the curve 8520 and the flashing LED is so dim i can barely see it on my new one!
i have the phone on silent at work and use the LED to tell when i have a notification and i cant even see it in daylight hardly.
is there any way to make the red light flash up brighter like on the older model?
my sister has the new bold and hers is fine and bright.
Ive got the free bebuzz app and even when i select my fave contact as BRIGHT pink it is still really dim light.
Also i have my hotmail account set up on my bb.
When i get a new email the notification icon appears at the top but i cant view the email in my hotmail box only if i go into the "messages" icon. this isnt how it was before either!
HELP?

I do not have a 9300 device on hand. I have used one and tested one, and played with. The LED flashing was fine, with nothing less bright about it that I would have noticed or made me remember "oh this is dim".

I don't know that, hence my suggestion to drop by where you purchased it and check another 9300 LED for comparison. There could certainly be some "personal preference" on this that you think it's not bright enough to you, but another 9300 might be brighter. There could some fault of your device. Do I think it's a fault on yours... I don't know. I haven't seen yours.
I'd also suggest that you UNinstall BeBuzz for now, completely uninstall, reboot your 9300 and test the LED from the native opertaing system settings.

Dual monitor setup flashes constantly

I am trying to set up a dual monitor setup with a Lenovo Thinkcentre Edge computer. I reset the BIOS to enable multimonitor support and IGD Active Video. One monitor is plugged into the VGA port. But when I plug the second monitor into the DVI-D port, both monitors flash constantly and the speakers make the sound of a device being disconnected. Unplugging the DVI-D monitor stops the problem on the VGA monitor. I checked the drivers and they are all up to date. Any ideas?

I have a recent (<2 months) installation of the latest Arch Linux on an AMD64 computer and I have noticed that the HDD access LED flashes shortly every 2-3 secs. My partitions are formatted in Ext4 and this flashing occurs even when I am just in the console and not using the machine.
Is this normal or should I start worrying about rootkits etc?

My thanks for the replies, I tried iotop and enabling block-dump but both will not work, I think its because I am using a custom compiled kernel and I don' have accounting enabled, apparently. But I will be looking into this soon, perhaps rebooting with the Arch kernel.

Led flash problem - Led flash don't work

Hi, i'm an italian guy. I've a problem at the flash of my iphone 4. When I register the movie with flash on, The LED flash does not fire. I've send twice my iphone 4 to Apple in Holland, but they don't see the problem. How can i solve this problem?

If you can give us a few recent entries in on the page "about:crashes" that might also be helpful.

Your LED is fine, on the Z10 there is not "network signal available" green LED, as you're accustomed to from the legacy devices. At reaching 10%, the LED will blink orange.
Red for message or applicaiton notifications.

It sounds like the camera and LED are nto working as expected on your iPhone. I would use these troubleshooting steps to help isolate the issue from the following article:

Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

Satellite 1805-s253 starts up but quickly shuts off followed by the a/c LED flashing amber...

Is anyone familiar with an issue where the laptop attempts to start then shuts down followed by the a/c LED flashing amber. The only way for the LED to stop flashing is to remove the battery and re installing it. It has been working fine until I did an update and had to reboot the computer. I have tried to isolate everything from the memory to the hd and still, the computer will not start. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated! Bonnie
