WRV200 - Problems with VPN Client and Internal network access
I have a WRV200 router and want to access the internal (Private Network) connected on the inside. I have successfully conected to the router with the Linksys VPN Client, but it does not appear to allow access to the internal network.
How do I enable NAT Transversal or Passthru? I have already selected all of the PPTP, L2TP and IPSEC Pass Through.
Has anyone gotten this to work?
I have actually gotten this to work. Issues surround this include the ability to get to the VPN if the main DNS is down (it does not fail over to the next DNS in the list).
If you unselect all of the boxes in the firewall General configuration, you can connect, but if you need to have all of this unchecked, what's the sense of having it?
Anyway, you can use the DoS Prevention, this is not interfering.
HTH.

Problem with VPN Client and network access
We are running VPN client 4.0.1 on our laptops, and there are a number of users who are getting documents they are using on the internal network (off VPN) corrupted. The initial cause seemed to be the stateful firewall, but I have that turned off, and we are still getting it.
It only seems to be on the machines with VPN client installed, and it is only happening when the user is working on a file direct from the network drive. They are not connecting via the VPN client when the problem occurs.
any suggestions?
William.Did you get any joy with this ? We seem to be having the same issue.

Problem with VPN Client and PIX 7.0(5)
Hi, i have a problem configuring my pix 525 7.0(5) as a remote vpn server. I already configure the pix
sollowing this instructions (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a008060f25c.shtml)
and i can establish a vpn using CISCO VPN Client; but i can't reach any resource from my inside network or any network define in the PIX.
I think that could be a missing nat or an acl; but i have do a lot of research but i can figure out the solution.
This is the configuration i apply

Cisco ASA 8.3(1) with VPN Client and IP Communicator - one way communication
Hi Community.
I have a strange problem with my setup and I'm pretty sure it's either some type of routing (or NAT) or just a missing rule allowing the traffic. But I'm now at a point where I'd like to request your help.
I have some remote access users who have the Cisco IP Communicator (CIPC) installed on their notebooks. So:
VPN user with CIPC <> ASA Firewall <> Voice Router <> CCM <> IP Phone
The VPN works fine for any other traffic. Also the basic connection for the IP Communicator works fine. It get's connected to the CallManager, is shown as registered and you even can call an internal phone and also external phones. BUT: while you can hear the called party (so the internal phone) it doesn't work for the other way. There is no sound coming from the remote/caller.
I already figured out that it's also not possible to ping from the VPN phone to the internal IP Phone subnet. While the VPN user can ping any other device in the internal network, he can't do it to the Cisco IP Phones. But if the VPN phone calls a none-internal phone (mobiles...) - it works!
My thought is that the call can't be build up correctly between the VPN phone and the internal phone.
I found similiar situations with google but they are all for the other way around: call to internal works, but not to VPN.
What do you think?Hi,
Typically ASA lists specific networks to the VPN Client when Split Tunnel is used.
This would mean that there is a Split Tunnel ACL used in the ASA configurations for this VPN connection which needs to have the missing network added for the traffic to be tunneled to the VPN connection.

How to configure full tunnel with VPN client and router?
I know the concept of split tunnel....Is it possibe to configure vpn client and router full tunnel or instead of router ASA? I know filter options in concentrators is teher options in ISR routers or ASA?
I think it is possible. Following links may help you

Problem with VPN Client passthrough on ASA 5505
I am having a problem with passing through a VPN client connection on an ASA 5505. The ASA is running version 8 and terminates an anyconnect VPN. The ASA is using PAT. When the inside user connects with the VPN client, it connects but no traffic passes through the tunnel. I see the error
305006 regular translation creation failed for protocol 50 src INSIDE:y.y.y.y dst OUTSIDE:x.x.x.x
UDP 500,4500 and ESP are allowed into the ASA. Ipsec inspection has also been setup on a global policy, but the user still cannot pass traffice to the remote VPN he is connected through.
At the Main Office we have an ASA 5510 that terminates a site to site VPN, allows remote connections with PAT and allows passthrough no problems. Any ideas?I am having a simuliar issue with my ASA 5505 that I have set up. I am trying to VPN into the Office. thanks for your helpHello,
I have replicated and confirmed the problem with LabVIEW 2010, Report Generation Toolkit 2010 and Word 2010. I have filed this to R&D under CAR ID #257414. As a workaround you can manually set each cell using Word Edit Cell.vi. I have attached a simplified representation of this unexpected behavior as well as the workaround. Hopefully this helps everyone out!

Problems with Installing iTunes and wireless network connection
Every time I attempt to install iTunes it completely kicks the internet off and an error comes up that the wireless network adapter to not connect or is not detected. My internet service is connected to a router which I receive wirelessly to my laptop. I do not understand why it is happening and to get the internet to work again I needed to do a system restore. Any ideas why this is happening. Also when iTunes was installed it came up correctly, it would just not connect to the net. I have had a previous version on my old laptop but since purchasing this new laptop I am having such difficulty. On another note, if this problem can be resolved, once iTunes is working is there a way to get the songs from my old computer onto the new? Thanks for the help in advance!
I just saw your post and I resolved this on mine for my wired connection. I'm willing to bet that the issue is the same for wireless. Here's what I found.
Issue:
During the installation, iTunes installs some network components related to mobile device support over ethernet(Apple Mobile Device Ethernet Service - netaapl.inf). At the same time, according the logs, the install process removed OEM18.inf. This almost exactly coincided with the time that I saw the network connection die (preceded it by a few seconds).
Basically, iTunes appears to be removing a required network component.
Resolution:
After installing iTunes and the network connection breaking, remove the network device from Device Manager and allow Windows to reinstall it automatically.
The following instructions are for Windows 7, but they are close enough to follow for other versions of Windows.
1. Click the Start button (Jewel in Vista and Win7).
2. Right-click Computer and click Manage in the menu that appears (type your password or click Yes if prompted).
3. On the left side of hte Computer Management window, click Device Manager.
4. Click the arrow (or plus sign) next to Network Adapters to expand that section.
5. Right-click your network adapter and click Uninstall in the menu that appears.
6. Click OK.
7. Reboot.
Windows should automatically detect and reinstall your network device on boot. -
Problems with mail, messags, and social network accounts
Hi,
first of all, sorry for my bad English.
I would like to know if there is a maximum limit of accounts (email, social network, etc. etc.) that OS10 can handle.
On my Passport (OS10 Version 10.3.0.675) I have the following:
- 1 BBM
- 1 WhatsApp
- 1 Facebook
- 12 Mail
Now, when I try to insert another account (for example mail or Twitter), I recived the following error message:
"The maxximum accounts has been reached".
Is that right?
With the Z10 and the Q10, if I remember correctly, I did not have this problem.
I need to add more email accounts, someone can help me?
Thank you all.
I'M NOT LAZY,
I JUST DON'T GIVE NOTHING!Let me see what I can find out and I'll get back to you when I know more! Thanks

Problems with SRW224G4 switch and Bridged Network Cards
Hello,
We have recently installed a SRW224G4 switch and have discovered that when we plug our DELL PowerEdge 2900 server into the switch, the switch loses all network connectivity and all of the LED's on the switch start flashing.
The server works perfectly well plugged into another switch, but as soon as we introduce the SRW224G4 into the network, either with the server plugged into that switch or any other, the problem re-occurs.
The only way we found we could eliminate this issue was if we disabled the Bridged Network connection on the two network cards on the server. If we do that, everything is fine, except the network performance of the server has dropped significantly.
The server is plugged into the 1GB ports on the switch, although we tried it on the 100MB ports and received the same problems. The switch reports that the ports are running at full-duplex.
Has anyone noticed this behavior before, and more importantly been able to rectify it.
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
PaulI had this problem as well with any Linksys 2024 or rackmountable switch.. The trick is, you need to use the network cards management software to "team" or bridged the 2 NIC's otherwise the switch detects a loop and the whole thing locks up. So lame... Windows built in bridge mode stinks dont use it. When you use the Intel management software or Dell or HP's NIc management software you have the option to actually choose "redundant mode" where you can pick a Nic to be the primary, or you can choose Load Balancing where you can essentially double your throughput by joining the 2 nics.
In Windows 2008 Server, you actually do this by going to the Properties on the NIC in Device Manger. the software controls are now built right into the driver. pretty neat. 2003 you can check Device Manager the same way but not sure if it's the same as 2008, you might need to run the actual NIC management app.
Hope this helps

Problem with R2 signalling and satelite network
Hi,
Is someone have experience with voice satelite networks and R2 signaling.
RegardsHave you selected R2-pulse.
R2-PulseR2 line signaling type ITU-U Supplement 7, typically used for systems that employ satellite links (where a Tone/A bit is pulsed).
try command -- proceed-to-send
ITU pulsed line signaling (S-7) ACKs the seizure with a proceed-to-send signal (150 ms pulse). A variant of this signaling over satellite links does not use this signal. If this is configured, the router does not ACK the seizure for incoming calls and does not expect ACK for outgoing calls. This affects pulsed line signaling calls only. Not supported on AS5800 yet.
