WRV210 Trouble a few hours after newly installed

I just bought myself a new WRV210. I installed it using the provided CD, set up my wireless network using WPA2 etc etc and all was working fine. I left home and came back a few hours later to find my main wired PC with local only. I went through the usual flow of resetting cable modem, router, cables etc with no result. Connected the cable modem directly to my PC and internet worked fine then but via the Router, local only on all PCs.
I try to access 192.168.1.1 and now it just gives me "The Page Cannot be Found". After a few resets (30 seconds holding the button, disconnecting and reconnecting) I maganed to get my laptop via Wireless working at least on the Internetbut no other devices, wired or wireless work and I still can't acces the Router Control Panel. I have also after each reset configured the router via the installation CD and it succesfully communicates with the router as it lets me enter SSID, WPA2 password and the rest of the options you can configure via the CD but nothing at all on 192.168.1.1. I am so frustrated as I bought this router to replace a damaged Netgear one with the hopes of having wireless at home again and now this happens, just very dissapointing.

Ok, tried obviously to access the router via a wired connection, actually on two wired PCs and then my laptop, no avail. I have checked the IP for the laptop and it shows a valid IP but not the rest of the devices. When I ping the router address (192.168.1.1) it does communicate with it, on any PC, succesfully, which is the case if I insert the CD, it will allow me to login to it, change the SSID and apply the password via the utility. I have also checked the lights and I get, the Power on solid green, DMZ off, Internet blinking green as for the wireless with blinking green and then 1 & 2 on the Ethernet as these are my wired PCs on it.

This is considered normal use. I think everybody does this, including myself. It's not something to worry about in the least bit.
Just remember to complete a full charge cycle (allow the phone's battery to discharge to 10%-20%, then charge uninterruped to 100%) once a month and you'll be fine.

I have installed reader about 10 times now and it says I can use it now, but when I try to open a file it tells me I need to launch Reader and Agree to terms. I really need to use it now for school. You need to open Reader outside of Safari Start>All programs and accept the agreement.

My iBook keeps restarting every few hours after installing ZD WLan Utility

i recently instaled the ZD WLan wireless utility because i got a Belkin f5d7050 usb wireless adapter, now every few hours mac needs to reboot. after it reboots though it gives me the message that it had to shut down unexpectedly (because it told me to hold the power button) i thought i could find out whats wrong by clicking on the Report button and going through the report log, but it never opens. What do i do? this is really frustrating and interrupts my work.

My iMac only starts in safe mode few hours after upgrade to 10.7.3

After I updated to 10.7.3 on my iMac everything looked fine, but after few hours of activity everything except mouse cursor froze in a fullscreen app. No keyboard shortcut was able to force quit the app and only way was to turn the iMac off with power button. After restart login screen appeared and after I logged in the system froze while after the Skype started and I wrote few letters in a chat there. Again only power button worked, but this time I didn't even get the login screen, everything froze on the grey screen.
I searched web on mac book and found info about problems with update and solution via installing comboupdate. I managed to start in safe mode and installed the combo update. After installation system started and all worked fine few hours until screen froze again, the picture gor a bit corrupted (some "empty" squares appeared) and I had to use power button again.
Since that time my only way to get to login screen is safe mode (holding shift after restart), next reinstal of combo update didn't help. New install of lion runs correctly the part of instalation in the safe mode, than it restarts after while computer restarts and installation progress is shown, however the progress freezes nearly imediatelly and nothing happens for next hour.
If I boot from recovery partition it starts after relatively long time the system utility, but even here interaction is wrong as after every click I have to wait few minutes until something happens, so I was not able to really start some action there.
I can only take the iMac to sevis (sadly the 1 year warranty over) on monday so any suggestions what I could try till then to make it working again are very welcome.

So the result form Apple authorized servis was that both motherboard and graphic card need to be replaced (cost aproximatelly 1100$) and in addition they said there will still remain some problem with display which would cost additional 500$ to fix. Taken in account that there would be only 90 days warranty on new parts I decided to give up with the iMac. Very disappointing after only 1,5 year on machine that costed more than 2000$.
Recommendation from me after this experience - buy 3 years warranty if possible. I am personally very much looking forward for Mac Pro refresh. I don't want to be again in situation that if something breaks in my working machine I have no chance to replace it myself and can only expect very high repair costs. Untill new Mac Pros are out I'll suffer working on Mac Book Pro.

Satellite E45t won't start for few hours after shut down

I have a brand new Satellite E45t-4100. After shutting down, I am not able to start the laptop for few hours. Upon pressing the power button, say after 15 minutes, power button LED lights up but nothing is displayed on the screen. I have disabled the sleep mode from power settings as I was facing the similar situation when trying to wake up the laptop from sleep. Although, when restart is chosen, laptop restarts without any trouble.
Please help.

I have the exact same problem as the OP with an E45t-a4300. Purchased almost a year ago (Oct 30, 2013) from Best Buy. Worked perfectly for about 2 months after purchase and then this problem arose. Started when I'd put the computer to sleep, it wouldn't wake up. The computer would just shut off when I'd go to wake it up. When I'd hit the power button to restart, the fan would briefly spin, power indicator/wifi light turns on, then it shuts down again. I would repeat this cycle- sometimes only a few times, sometimes for almost an hour- before the Toshiba splash screen appeared with the "computer wasn't shut down properly" and the computer would restart and run the standard diagonostics. However, at first on a cold start or start from hibernation it would start fine but after awhile that stopped, too, and any starting attempt was met by the same non-start/shut down cycle.
This went on for about 3 months with me basically rarely shutting down the machine. I searched forums at the time and found nothing regarding this problem. Then one day in mid-March, the start-up problem miraculously disappeard- it fired right up. It started perfectly fine and worked with no problems whatsoever for 6 months, including waking from sleep and hibernation, until about 2 weeks ago. Now the same problem is back- it won't turn on with multiple start attempts and shuts down when you try to wake from sleep or hibernation- showing the "computer wasn't shut down properly" on the splash screen and going through the test process when if finally does start. Also, I'm now unable to enter the BIOS page on start up when pressing F2. I also have disabled rapid start, etc after the problem began.
I've owned quite a few laptops over the years (including Toshiba) and work with computer based systems for a living. I REALLY love this laptop a lot (yes, even with 8.1) but this problem is just disheartening. I truly appreciate any help.

Trouble importing from p3 after office install

Has anyone else had trouble importing photos from digital camera after installing Office for Mac 2011? Now iPhoto won't recognize my files, and what came up in the import folder were about 160 icky clip art icons, which I quickly deleted. If there's a fix (other than uninstalling software), please advise.

My iphone 4s battery dies after a few hours after upgrading the software

My iphone battery dies after approximately 4 hours (with no use) after I upgraded to ios6 and, the phone heats up. This has been going on for about a month now and I've tried everything. Unfortunately, employees at the Apple store flat out refused to help noting, 'oh, just try restarting it, ios 6 doesn't have any flaws' (I've tried multiple times). Needless to say, 4 hours is not enough to warrant keeping a phone so if anyone has any (free) ideas, I would appreciate them greately. Thank you.

New hard drive but troubles with I tunes after re-install

I've recently had a new hard drive installed on my ibook G4. Its a 250GB Powerbook Hard Drive Western Digital Upgrade.
I did not have the disk for leopard as this machine was bought as a refurb, so we installed Tiger OS X from another Ibook G4 we have in the house. I used a firewire from the older ibook g4 to the one with the new hard drive to transfer the data.
Everything seemed fine, but I noticed that my Itunes library was missing. I searched through applications and found a folder marked Itunes with the missing music.
I tried to import them into the library all at once and it failed. So then we tried
to import them in batches like all of A then B etc.
It seemed to work but then when I closed I tunes and tried to reopen it, nothing.
It will not re open I get a window that says I tunes quit unexpectantly with the 3 buttons
try again (doesn't work) report and close.
Another issue that has just come to light is that when I was looking at a website called Edufire
(a free educational audio resource) Safari automatically shut itself down.
Not sure what to do next....any suggestions

If you have actual music files in a folder, on the desktop, and then
have iTunes app open and running (not full screen) you can often
drag music files into the iTunes app this way and they will be seen
and copied into a file location chosen by the app itself.
As to the rest of the situation, the process may have worked fine
in a mechanical way, as far as it goes. However, you need to get
a correct OS X disc in order to not only maintain a legal license for
the use of the software (unless you have a Family Pack multi install)
and also for basic computer and system maintenance.
If the original software packet contents for that computer have been
lost, then you may see if (by calling the 800# in online Apple store)
you could inquire of the possibility of getting a replacement set; that
would be an original OS X install-restore set, as-shipped, for a fee.
In order to perform system maintenance, you boot the computer from
the correct installer disc to run Disk Utility, and all the tools it offers;
including the proper formatting and partition, repair disk, etc on there.
And, if used with the iTunes Store, the computer would have to be
authorized. Having an unauthorized copy of an OS on what is now
two computers, may be a problem with using these with an account.
Have you tried a different browser, such as Firefox 3.x or Camino?
There may be other issues in the browser question. Several answers.

Tons of "Upgrade" entries in ULSLog a few hours after applying updates

Yesterday we patched two SharePoint 2013 farms (latest SharePoint Security Update sts2013-kb2880994-fullfile-x64-glb.exe) and ran
PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force (of course sequentially on all servers). There were some errors in the upgrade log regarding some missing features of old custom solution fragments in some content databases but despite of that everything
seemed to be fine.
Then, the next day, starting at 7:15 am some servers (not all) became almost unresponsive and were writing tons of ULSLog entries with category "Upgrade", obviously in DEBUG mode. Logs started growing up to 500M, in "normal"
mode they were about 35M. See followling ULSLog fragments to get an example.

I really don't know how to handle this. A restart of the "faulty" server helped to get back in "normal" operations mode. In addition
stsadm -o localupgradestatus said that there actually is nothing to upgrade any more.

However, let's get back to the problem. As I wrote about the localupradestatus, there are not sites that still needs upgrade. Again:

In the short time I have had this phone there have been three occurrences where the phone will not receive calls or SMS (the screen shows full carrier signal). This usually lasts a few hours after which you get a whole lot of missed call SMS from the carr

If I notice this problem (eg. someone calls me on another phone) and I make a call from my phone to someone else (which DOES work) then all the missed calls and SMS will come through. Almost as if the phone put the cellular radio to sleep and only wakes it up when I try to make a call.
I havent called Apple support yet, thought I would see if anyone else was having similar problems with their 5 (or maybe IOS6).

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Power key not working after few hours of upgrade to Lollipop

Kodak 5500 - cannot print after Leopard install

Just want to throw this printer into the list of printers that do not work after Leopard install. I get a raster stream error. I have reinstalled Kodak software; deleted and readded printer, etc, etc,. Still now printing. Scanning works fine though!

Much to my surprise, I received a reply from Kodak a mere few hours after emailing them on Sunday morning. They advised me that a new version of their all-in-one printer software (1.2.0 Release 3) for Leopard will be available on the web on Monday, October 29th.

Port forwarding stops working several hours after reset

I have a WRT350N (fw v. 1.03.2). It's connected to an Alcatel ADSL modem (PPPoE configuration). I've configured port forwarding to allow HTTP and SSH into a linux box on my home network (static IP). I am able to get to the linux box from outside for the first few hours after I set up the configuration, but a few hours later I am no longer able to get to it from outside - port forwarding stops working though the settings remain as I'd left them. Over the course of various attempts I've had the external connections just die (404 errors, host not found, etc) and sometimes the connection went to the router - getting the WRT350N login prompt (remote management is turned on, but on port 8080, not 80, so this was unexpected).
The only way I've found to resolve this is to reset to factory defaults and reconfigure. Then it works again for a few hours and shortly is again not forwarding. I've tried other ports (VNC, RDC, telnet, SMTP) and the forwarding stops working on all ports at the same time. My home machines are able to get out to the internet with no problems.
I thought the router had a hardware flaw so i replaced it with an identical model yesterday, and sure enough, today I'm again stuck without external access to my home website.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.

I was able to trace the problem to torrent downloads. It seems the router wasn't handling all the concurrent connections when handling torrents. I haven't had problems since i stopped downloading torrent files. I did add a static port mapping and configured utorrent to run on a single port on a machine with a static address but haven't had cause to download any torrent files since then, so i don't know if that will fix the problem.
That being said, i've had no issues since i stopped the torrents.
