  • Workflow not going to next activity

    Hi Experts,
It seems like my Workflow is going into the self loop, i.e instead of proceeding to the next level it is calling first activity againa and adding same approvers.
The systems behaviour is as below
    1. Level 1 - Prescript could add approvers successfully
    2. Level 1 Approvers received email to approve
    3. Level 1 Approver approves the request
4 Workflow is again adding Level 1 approvers again and send emails to the same set of level 1 approvers.
After looking at the logs, it is clear that, the flow is not going to the 'pre-script' of level 2.
    Any idea?
    Cheers
    Yogesh

    Thanks Baski,
Yes, It was the xpdl issue. What I tried to do is, I opened the XPDL created in the together 1.1 version in the together 4.1 version. And tried to recttify some errors.
After rectifying errors, the XPDL was looking ok in the viewer, but it seems it had some missing elements.
Somehow I could manage to get the together 1.1 version and created the XPDL again and it stared working fine.
    Thanks

  • AE:  Escalation E-mail not going to next approver

    Hi All
We have a 3 stage approval process APO, BPO and security.
If a request is not approved within 8 hrs at any of the stages then the request is escalated to the next approver.
The problem is this that there is no e-mail notifying the next approver that the request has been escalated. The next approver will however get another e-mail asking the approver to approve the request and this is as it should be. However the escalation e-mail is not going to the next approver.
    Please Advise.

    Hi guys,
    Thanks for the input.
Yes, the background job is definitely running for escalations as well as email reminders.  I have checked the job logs and they are running with no errors.
Under the notification on each stage, under escalation, we do have "Other approvers" selected.  Any idea's?
The request is escalating to the next stage after the wait period, however the "next approver" does not receive the emails under the "escalation" tab within the stage.
    Your assistance is highly appreciated.

    To grant these permissions
    In Active Directory, open
    Users and Computers.
Right-click the OU where you are creating the prestaged computer accounts, and select
    Delegate Control.
On the first screen of the wizard, click
    Next.
Change the Object Type to include Computers.
Add the computer object of the Windows Deployment Services server, and then click
    Next.
    Select
Create a Custom task to delegate.
    Select
Only the following objects in the folder.
    Select the
    Computer Objects check box.
    Select
Create selected objects in this folder.
    Click
    Next.
In the Permissions box, select the
    Write all Properties check box.
    Click
    Finish.
This did not fix the OU issues.

  • Project Online Workflow not moving forward after approval

I'm building a custom workflow for a Project Online tenant using SD2013 but something is not working with approvals.
In SD I create the workflow with very simple actions:
    1. Wait for submit
    2. Create approval task
    3. In stage transition, if task ended with "Approved", move to the next stage, if not, go to "Cancelled" step
Everything works fine until the approval. I see the task, approve it but then nothing happens. The task appears as "Completed" and "Approved" but the workflow just stays there.
I had this very same behavior on a couple of deployments in the past with Project Server 2010 in Spanish.
The tenant created the Project Web App in Spanish as well. Could this be the cause? How can I correct it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Rene Alvarez

I am also having the same issue.
The task appears in the list, I approve it, then nothing happens. No error, no feedback, no history list log (I put in a log statement right after the approval task, it never runs), the workflow status page still remains as "Started".
    Any ideas?
If online is as slow as processing approval actions overnight, then it is simply unusable.

  • Workflow not updated in offline approval

    Hi All-
I have an issue in offline approval in SRM 7.0 . Program- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND has been scheduled to send email for offline approval and approver receives the mail. When the approver clicks on Approve By Email button, a new email opens with some Guid informations and approver clicks on send button to send the mail.
I am seeing the inbound mail recived by SAP in SOIN -tcode or via In Utilities-Inbox Overview in SCOT. The problem is, the workitem is still in ready status and not changed to complete status.
I havent scheduled the inbound program- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALGET as per SAP library and other SDN posts. I have maintained the following in SCOT (Under Settings-> Inbound processing)
    Internet mail     xxxx@ xxx.com ( Mail id)    ICS    /SAPSRM/CL_OFFLINEAPP_INBOUND   3.
My doubt is, do we need to schedule the inbound program or any other program, so SAP will decode the data and update the workflow? or is it enough to maintain the above SCOT settings?
Please clarify above things and help me on how to update the workflow
    Vinoth

Thank you Ricardo and Saravanan. I am working on this and waiting for roles to assign. In the mean time, i have scheduled the prog- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALGET and if i approve from outlook, it is updating the status to WF.
Is there any issue, if i use this inbound program in SRM 7.0?
Also, when i approve from outlook, the mail contents (GUID and other technical informations) is in editable mode. As per my client, it should be in disable mode, so the approver will not change the mail contents. I am not able to find the solution for this. Please provide your inputs.
PS: I am using Application Controlled WF

  • Purchase Requistion not going to Approval Inbox in SAP

    Hi Gurus,
Kindly help me please ASAP. Some PRs are not going to the approver'sinbox in SAP. We are  using SAP ECC6. What may be causing this error? How can I resolve this error? Please help me. Thanks
    Thanks and regards,
    Happy

    Hello !
You've stated that there is no entries in SWI1 transaction.
This means, we can assume that workflow hasn't triggered for this particular purchase requisition document.
It can be confirmed whether workflow has triggered against this purchase requisition document.
This can be accomplished at SWEL transaction.Go to SWEL(hope event trace is switched on in SWELS transaction during the creation of this purchase requisition).Delete the details in text boxes for the field "Created From Date/Time".Enter the purchase requisition number at the field "'Creator' object instance" and click "Execute" button.
If you see any entries, it means the workflow have triggered for this purchase requisition. Now by examining the workflow log for this work item, it can be identified whether the agent detail is populated in the respective container.

  • Workflow in Project server 2013 online not going particular stage after Approval

    Hi All,
i have created workflow using sharepoint designer 2013 for project server 2013 online. and i have also set the approver after the first stage. when i create a project using this workflow, project is created successfully and the approval task also go for
a approval to specific user. and i have set the property that after approval it has to go on specific stage. but the problem is when user approve the task it shows approved but my stage in workflow is remain same. it is not going to any stage.
i don't know why this type of problem is occur.
FYI, i have created same workflow for Project server 2013 on premise(Which is installed in my server) and
it is working fine but when i want to deploy this workflow in
project server 2013 online its giving error.
so please help me to solve this type of issue.
    Thanks

I am also experiencing issues with this.  After the approval task is completed, the Workflow gets cancelled with the following message
RequestorId: 60d96368-4cb4-b059-8086-604972a92e60. Details: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. at Microsoft.Activities.Hosting.Runtime.Subroutine.SubroutineChild.Execute(CodeActivityContext context)
at System.Activities.CodeActivity.InternalExecute(ActivityInstance instance, ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager bookmarkManager) at System.Activities.Runtime.ActivityExecutor.ExecuteActivityWorkItem.ExecuteBody(ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager
    bookmarkManager, Location resultLocation)
All other desired workflow actions work as expected.  Emails are sent, project is moved from stage to stage, however as soon as the workflow approval task is completed, either Approved or Rejected, the Internal Status is changed to Canceled and the
    workflow fails.
What is interesting is when the Approval task is completed, the approver will receive an email notification that the task was CANCELLED or DELETED....
not COMPLETED, which is what would be expected.
Has anyone seen this - any potential resolution?

  • ESS leave request workflow : not able to approve request

    Hi Samee,
Did you select General Task in the steps of workflow you have an agent?
    Sónia
You have a chief position on the Organization Unit where you have the employees?
Sometimes it's possible to forget this one:
Transaction SWDD, select the workflow  WS12300111 and press CTRL+F8 (Basic Data)
there's another button "Agent assignment for task" (SHIFT+F9)
set task to "General task" with the "Attributes..." Button. (EVERY user can start this task).
    And check this to:
Using transaction SWFVISU, check the following entries and correct these where required:
    TS12300097 Java WebDynpro  APPLICATION LeaveRequestApprover
                     PACKAGE sap.com/ess~lea
    TS12300116 Java WebDynpro
                     APPLICATION LeaveRequest
                     PACKAGE sap.com/ess~lea
(check this, because usually you have an error, instead of sap.com you have com.sap)
Register the work items again. Additional information about registering  work items is available in the UWL documentation.
After re-register the System Alias again in the UWL - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

  • Supervisor Approval in SSHR not going

    Gurus,
I have oracle SSHR for my client.
Whenever a person changes his/her address in Personal Information screen, a notification should go to 1st level supervisor for approval.
It is not going at present. What can be the issue? Any pointers in this regard will be of great help.
    Regards,
    Novice

    Hi,
Can you verify workflow attribute setup.
open workflow builder ==> load HR workflow ==> open workflow process for Personal information change ==> in that process you will find sub process for address change ==> in this process ==> at review page node ==> right click on review page node ==> check the "dynamic approval required" attribute value is set to "yes-dynamic approval".
if this attribute is set properly then only it will call ame for approval.

  • Invoice Parking - 2 Level Approval Workflow not working

    Hi,
I am having trouble making the two level approval work for invoice parking functionality. I have maintained Release Level = 2 and Sub w/f = WS10000053.
Rest I have configured as detailed in this link http://www.thesapconsultant.com/2008/09/simple-sap-workflow.html
When i test the above workflow from SWDD it is working fine. i.e., first one user gets the workitem and after he approves/rejects, it is going to second user. This proved that the user assignment i have maintained is correct.
But when I park the invoice (using "Save As Completed" button) using FV60, it only going to one user. After he/she approves/rejects it is not going anywhere. I checked in SWI1 transaction where no open tasks (error or hanged etc) are seen.
Can anyone please advise if i am missing anything?

  • Requests that are forwarded to another approver are not going to next stage

We are having an issue with AE 5.2 with Forwarded requests.  When requests are forwarded to another approver and this person then approves the requests, they are not going on to the next stage in our workflow.  We have the Forward Type option set to 'Any one Approver' for the workflow stage.  Have also tried forwarding the requests with both the Forward With No Return and Forward With Return options.
The approver that is receiving these Forwards is not listed as one of the approvers for the role in the request.  Is this the issue, are we not using the Forward process correctly, or is this a bug in AE 5.2.  (I think we are currently on SP 9 of GRC 5.2.)
    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,
I am running AE 5.2 but do not use the "forward" feature. For request that require "role approvers" I have set up a seperate initiaor that includes the additional Stage for Role approval.
I have initiators for 1) New User w/ no role approval 2) New User w/ role approval 3) Change User w/ no role approval 4) Change User w/ no role approval
My "no role approvals" go through three stages 1) security initial review 2) Internal Control review 3) Final security provisioning; my "role approvals" go through four stages 1) security initial review 2) Role Approval Stage 3) Internal Control review 3) Final security provisioning
If a request has roles that require approval and some that do not, the request will take the two seperate paths based on the roles defined for each; the provisoning will complete once both paths have completed all stages
This allows us to treat the role approval just like any stage with assigned approvers and if multiple approvers allow for any one approver to complete the stage
This is different from your approach of forwarding for role approval; I define the roles to the initialtors that require role approval, but gives you another perspective of doing it

  • AE 5.2 - Detour Workflows - One of the Role Approver not found

    Hi All,
My question is regarding using the Detour workflow functionality for the situation below - pls let me know if this possible or if any alternates are available.
    - Main path has 2 stages (1) manager approver, (2) Role Approver.
If the Requestor asks for a Role that Does not have a Role Approver we would like to route this request to the Security lead.
    - I have created a Detour Path with 1 stages - Secuity lead and associated with Stage 2 (Role approver) of the Main path based on the condition "No Role Owners"
    - I still get the error "Approver not found at Stage @@@@"
Is the condition "No Role Owner" in the Detour workflow config for "Role Expert" workflows or for Access requests?
Is it possible to route the Request to Security if the Role being requested does not have a Role Approver? IF yes How?
    thanks
    T

    Hi,
sometimes in the Detour configuration you have the problem that the "Save" action is not saved properly.
If this entry is empty, please go into edit mode and save the detour config again, so that the action will actually display "Save".
    Hopefully it works, then.

  • Approval Workflow does not update the Content Approval status if started automatically

    Hi,
I’m using a simple Approval Workflow associated with
Content Approval on site pages. It works fine when I set it to be started manually (by using
Allow this workflow to be manually started by an authenticated user with Edit Item permissions
option) and on the completion of the workflow the
Content Approval status is updated accordingly. But when I set it to be started automatically (by using
Start this workflow when a new item is created
/ Start this workflow when an item is changed
options), it does not updates the Content Approval status. Note that I’ve set the
Update the approval status after the workflow is completed (use this workflow to control content approval)
    option to true.
    Regards

    Hello,
It is recommended to select "Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item" when you want to use the workflow to manage content approval for
    a library.
According to the Notes for “Enable Content Approval” option in
    this reference:
If you are using this Approval workflow to manage content approval (moderation) for a library, and you selected the Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version
of an item check box on the Add a Workflow page..
If you did not select the Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item check box on the Add a Workflow page because you do not want this workflow to
be the default content approval workflow for a library, you can select the Update the approval status (use this workflow to control content approval) check box to make this workflow a secondary content approval workflow that specific users can
    start manually.
That means having an approval workflow start automatically when a document is changed or created is not a good practice when you want to use the workflow to manage
content approval for a library. You should either select "Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item" or give users the option to start the workflow manually at the time they want to submit for an approval.
    Thanks & Regards.
