WS30000015

I am learning workflow.
I am trying to test the standard work flow template WS30000015 (Process notification of absence) by going to workflow builder transaction. It is giving me error
"Import container contains errors (are any obligatory elements missing?)".
In the object type Absence form there is no instance. I think because of that I am getting error?
1. How should I give the instance?
2. I copied WS30000015 to other custom template can I use it directly or I need to do any modifications??

When I go to test workflow screen it gives me error:

Notification of absence WS30000015-work flow is not responding?

Hi all
Iam pretty much new to the workflow.
iam trying to do an example listed in the course BC600,
i did the following steps.........
1.created employee and manager roles
2.copied WS30000015 into z-version and did agent assignments
when i executed the event ,workflow is triggering the first process i.e. sending email to the manager,
after that if manager performs action on the email (like approved or rejected) it is suposed to do further workflow process based on the approved or rejected conditions........
But iam not getting any further action from the workflow process -
If approved suppose to send email to employee but employee is not getting any email
If Rejected - employee is supose to get an rejected notification email from manager but workflow is not sending any email to employee
could you please let me know what could be the issue and how to resolve this

As mentioned above you have to check the Log.

How to give Container Elements for FM EWW_WORKFLOW_START

hi experts,
i am new to workflow,
i am using the FM EWW_WORKFLOW_START to start a workflow.
my issue is that i am using the std BO BUS2017
i am not getting the element name that i need to pass to the container.
When i see in SWDD it shows
Import Parameter BUS2017 in the list of workflow container elements. but when i pass the OBJKEY: materialDocument and matdocumentyear like
concatenate '5000000305' '2009 ' into text1.
swc_set_element t_cont 'BUS2017' text1 .
its not getting passed to the workflow.
but i added 2 new elements mblnr and year to the container and i pass it , it gets passed.
how can i know the exact Element name?
or where could i be wrong?

Query: Beginner's Question: Notification on Approval

Hi All,
Iam new to workflow.
As a subordinate, I have created an absence notification.
With superior's loginid, I have approved the same.
But no notification message is sent to the subordinate's inbox that the absence notif. is approved.
But I see the step 'Send mail after approval' with the expression &_WF_INITIATOR& in WS30000015
Any reason why?

Hi,
Is your workflow is active? Also check the event linkage is active or not in SWEC.
Go to SWU0 and enter your business object and event and execute.
SWi1 used to check the workflow log.

Hi Experts,
I want know how the Properties Tab of all steps works in workflow?
please give some example workflows to check?
i found in SAP library WS30000015 as an example.
but i'm not able to find
1. how the sap.bc.bmt.wfm.process.status system settings is created?
2. how the values are created for the system settings?
what steps i need to do to create system settings and also how to create values?
how it will be used exactly in workflow?
please tell me about Miscellaneous tab also.
Is there any FM which gets the Creation Date and Time as input and gives the details of all the workitems created on that particular date. same position or job or org. unit as an input and gives the workitem details of that particular position or org. unit or job?

How to run PDF reports in SAPR/3

Hi,
We are not able to run PDF reports in existing SAPR/3 server. Which is not able to print properly . We are using HP printer , do we need to install seperate priter driver/program for to run this print.

Hi J,
Well as Peter said, we have to use transaction SWXF to trigger this workflow.
I ran a test run and workflow is getting triggered perfectly.
Coming to WORKITEM PART, Well you got to do the AGENT ASSIGNMENT for the Standard Task TS30000016. For doing that, you will have goto WS30000015 and double click on the first ACTIVITY STEP ( Approve notification of absence), you will get to see the detailed screen of that step. Click on the Small button beside AGENT ASSIGNMENT, you will get to see a new screen, place the cursor on the first line and click on Attributes button, and select the GENERAL TASK(Which is by default General Forwarding allowed).
Now get back to our transaction SWXF and create a leave application. Make sure that the initiator has enough leave quota in that period. After the application of leave, the SUPERVISOR(if OM is maintained properly) will get a WORKITEM for APPROVAL.

POP-UP BOX to input text instead of attachments??

Hi All,
some WF's for ex:ws30000015(notification of absence) etc..has a provision of attachments,say in this case to include the reason for rejecting the absence.
but is there a way to have workflow accept text(ascii etc), instead of attachements within the WF itself. so that the recipient(agent) of the WF inputs some text and that will be sent to the initiator?

Hi,
I never tried but you can implement a method to call a dialog popup screen, design the screen to enter text, and create a seperate step in rejection branch in workflow templete to call this method. create a multiline container element and bind the text from method to task and then task to WF templete. Make sure to check advance with dialog to make a dialog chain.

Quesry: System Overloaded error

Hi,
I have created a copy of the standard workflow ws30000015.
Ii have done some modifications to it to create a custom workflow.
I have event linkage in swetypv in such a way that the custom workflow is triggered instead of the standard workflow. Now, when I create an absence notification, the custom workflow is triggered, but I donu2019t see any workitem.
SWEL shows the following error.
Action: Receiver started correctly
RFC status: System overloaded, repeat immediately by batch.
Please help.
