WSNAT_CAT:1023 Error while connecting to Workstation Clients

Hi All,
I am trying to run around 12000 Workstation Clients, and want to connect them all to a single node. But I am getting the Following errors over and over again:
1.) WSNAT_CAT:1023: WARN: No client context space available in handler
2.) WSNAT_CAT:1175: WARN: Disconnecting listener connection to workstation, request timed out
3.) TDM_CAT:3000: INFO: Client connection request timed out
Following are the snippets of my ubbconfig file :
MAXACCESSERS 21000
MAXSERVERS 5000
MAXWSCLIENTS=15000
I have set "TCPKEEPALIVE=Y" in dmconfig environment, in place of using "-K" option in CLOPT. Is this correct?
Following is the CLOPT for my WSL Server (I have 70 such WSL processes running) :
CLOPT=" -- -n //xx.xx.xx.xx:23040 -m 10 -M 10 -x 20 -p 40000 -P 40199"
I would like to explain this. I have MAXACCESSERS = 21000, MAXWSCLIENTS=15000 and MAXSERVERS=5000. So this cannot be an issue. To support my 12000 workstation clients, I have given:
-m=10 (Minimum 10 WSH processes)
-M=10 (Maximum 10 WSH processes)
-x=20 (Multiplexing factor=20, i.e. one WSH will connect(multiplex) with 20 Workstation Clients (WSC)).
According to this configuration, I should be able to support : 70 (WSL) * 10 (WSH) * 20 (WSC) = 14000 Workstation Clients. I am not able to understand then why only to start 12000 Workstation clients, Tuxedo is giving the above errors??
Do I need to change any configuration settings? Urgent help will bw of utmost value.
-Thanks and Regards

Hi Steven,
Yes, you are correct to observe that one WSL will serve upto 200 Workstation Clients. I shall jot the information pointwise :
1.) 70 Such WSL's are booted, with each capable of serving upto 200 WS clients (10*20).
2.) You are right. All the 12000 Workstation clients are started using a script. But I had known the concern of all requesting the data at the same time, so each of the clients were started with a delay over the previous client.
3.) The clients are built in such a way, that they request a service every 2 minutes, and are all alive all the time.
4.) As per the load balancing is concerned for the WSL's, I have put a script which changes the environment variables (WSNADDR) in such a way, that after every second, a new WSL's address is issued for the client to connect to. As I have 70 WSL processes up, the script sets the WNSADDR of each WSL for one second only. So all the WSL's are naturally load balanced.
So with this configuration, I should be able to successfully run upto 14000 clients, but I am having problem with even starting 12000 at a time.
Also I am amazed at the error WSNAT_CAT:1023, which in manual describes a rare condition. It suggests that there is no more context space in the handler. I am not sure how this is possible.
I also forgot to mention that, I also had to force shutdown some of the clients, who emitted the WSNAT_CAT:1287 Warning in the ULOG, but I think that should not be an issue. Do you think that killing clients abruptly may cause weird behaviour? Or can they for instance corrupt any WSH, or make the sockets go crazy?
-Thanks in Advance

  • Installing Java Dialog Instance - Error while connecting to DB

    We would like to add a dialog instance to our production Portal server.  We installed Portal as stand-alone on the central instance.  We have another server we would like to setup to serve as a Portal dialog instance.
    So far I have installed Windows 2003 Server Standard.  Installed MSSQL server client tools (database is mssql server).  Installed jdk 1.4.62.  Set java home and path environmental variables.  I'm now installing the Java dialog instance (I can't find any documentation on this).  From Netweaver installation CD> SAP NetWeaver '04 Support Release 1> Java System> MS SQL Server> Dialog Instance Installation>
    SAP System ID: (sid) ES2
    Central Host: SAPEPS02
    Path to JAVA DVD supplied> JDK Directory confirmed> Domain paramaters confirmed> domain<sid> account passwords supplied> domain<service><sid> account password supplied> Instance number confirmed>
    Installation started> It gets to step 8 and fails stating "Error while connecting to DB".  I looked through all the log files and couldn't come up with anything (i'm very thorough).
    I tried adding the users to the database as dbowners (no luck).  I installed SQL server 2000 with SP4.  No where during this installation did I get prompted for database parameters?
    Is there something basic i'm missing?  Does this scenario not work?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Pointing me in the right direction of the correct documentation would also be appreciated.  Thank you in advance.
    Sincerely,
    Brad Dridi

    Hi Brad,

    Can you please let me know how did you overcome this situation?
    Thank you!!

  • Deserialization Error while connecting to web service

    I am getting a deserialization error while connecting to a web service.
    Deserializing parameter 'ScheduleReceiveService': could not find deserializer for type {http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}anyType...
    There are two methods ex
    UserDefinedClass1 methodA(java.lang.Object ) and
    UserDefinedClass2 methodB(UserDefinedClass3)
    And when i generate java files using WSDL2Java using apache axis the UserDefinedClass is generated as follows.
    public class UserDefinedClassA implements java.io.Serializable {
    private java.lang.Object _return;
    // There are other methods for setting the attributes,hashCode,equals etc
    Now when i try to invoke the method from the client i get this as an error ?
    Deserializing parameter 'UserDefinedClass': could not find deserializer for type {http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}anyType
    Appreciate any suggestion.

    Hi Manohara,
    To download the file from SharePoint, I recommend to use the credential for a user who can access the file in SharePoint in the client object model.
    NetworkCredential credentials = new NetworkCredential(“username”, “pwd”, “domain”);
    ClientContext context = new ClientContext(“http://thesitecollection”);
    context.Credentials = credentials;
    Best regards.

    StateManagerImpl.saveSerializedView tries to let UIViewRoot be a session
    attribute and the error message says it should be serializable; certainly it' not.
    I think HttpSession.setAttribute does not claim the object should be serializable.
    I don't know why apache's StandardSession.setAttribute claims so.

  • Error while connecting MYSQL Database

    Hi,
    I use a 30 days trial of Crystal Reports 2008. When i try to connect with the database i always get the next error: [http://www.visiscan.nl/error.jpg]
    The database is 4.1GB large and there is 10GB free space on the database.
    Anybody can tell me what to do?

    Hi Tom,
    As I understand the error while connecting to database is
    u201CFailed to retrieve data from databaseu201D
    There could be some could be multiple reasons for this.
    If you are using an ODBC connection then try to check the DSN. Recreate the same and then try.
    If the database is oracle check if native client is installed and try to ping from the native client to check if it responds.
    When connecting to Oracle, ensure that the Service name is identical to that used in the <ORA_HOME>/network/admin/tnsnames.ora file on the BusinessObjects XI Release 2 server.
    For ODBC databases, ensure that the ODBC DSN is exactly the same in the ODBC Manager as on the BusinessObjects XI Release 2 server.
    Please let us know if this helps
    Regards,
    Aditya Joshi

  • Error while creating the HTTP client with destination

    Hi ,
    I am getting this error while connecting to https location on receiver channel . The below error i am getting in SXMB_moni
    Error while creating the HTTP client with destination
    The receiver party is doing some security setting on there end and for that purpose we have provided the external IP address to them , after that we are getting the above error.
    We have already installed the client certificate on our staging server , and have done the correct setting in SM59 and channel.

    Check few things..
    1) I believe you use specify destination for the addressing type field in the comm channel. If so make sure you entered valid target URL address in the SM59 of type http destination.
    2) Check the validitity of the certificate. You can import the certificate both in java and abap stack.
    3) Make sure certificate is installed as expected.
    4) Send the request and talk to the target system and check what error information they get in their log related to ssl.

    Hi,
    In the HTTP Receiver what is the Addressing Type used ? (URL Address or HTTP Destination).
    If its URL Addressing Type, check if right Authentication Type is used with valid values and for HTTP Addressing Type check this HTTP Client Create Error, it could be helpful.
    Also check if the Target system can be reached from the XI server to validate the configuration parameters.

  • Error while connecting to workflow builder after installation...first time!

    Hi,
    I have installed Oracle Workflow Builder 2.6.3 recently on my system and after installation, when I am trying to connect the workflow builder (using database username/password of that particular instance), it is throwing me the following error:
    220: Unable to set NLS_LANGUAGE.
    210: Oracle Error: ORA-01403: no data found
    . SQL text: SELECT NLS_LANGUAGE FROM WF_LANGUAGES WHERE :l IN (NLS_LANGUAGE, CODE)
    In the previous threads when I searched for the same issue, I found that if
    select value from v$nls_parameters
    where parameter='NLS_CHARACTERSET';
    returns the value other then WE8ISO8859P1 then that is what I should change my NLS_LANG entry for the builder - i.e. AMERICAN_AMERICA.<character set>.
    But I am not getting where should I change NLS_LANG, it is located where...some file? I am new to Workflow.
    Please help me. I tried a lot. Any type of help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sumir

  • Error while connecting to the database from a JSP Page

    Hi,
    I am using a simple JSP page which is based on the sample JSP pages from OTN.
    When I try to connect to my database using the following code:
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    OracleDataSource ds = (OracleDataSource)ic.lookup("jdbc/OTN9iDS");
    m_connection = ds.getConnection();
    I get the following error:
    Naming exception Error while connecting to the database : javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc/OTN9iDS not found in JDBCTest-JDBCTestProject-webapp
    Does anybody know wht this is happening?
    Any help would be appreciated
    FRank

    Hi Frank,
    Are you using standalone OC4J or 9iAS ? If you are using standalone OC4J then you need to add a proper data source entry in %OC4J_HOME%j2ee\home\config\data-sources.xml file.
    If you are using 9iAS the you can log in to the Enterprise Manager console and add the data source entry by using wizard provided by 9iAS.
    Ensure the case of the JNDI lookup string, since, it is case sensitive.
    Hope this helps.
