WT7-C (PDW0E) Tablet not updating to Windows 10

I know this is a low-end device but it is on the Toshiba list of devices upgradable to Windows 10. When I force the Windows 10 update it starts downloading, but Windows Update stops saying that I have to check my PC, but with no specific information as to what the problem is. I have installed the recommended Toshiba software updates for Windows 10, and the Windows 10 update utility says that my device meets all the requirements. Anyone else having this problem? What needs to be done? Workaround, etc.?

Firefox 11 does not update its window in a remote control RealVNC session

When I am remote controlling a Windows XP 64bit PC with RealVNC, Firefox 11 does not update its window contecns. Old Firefox 3.6 works just fine. Is it called a redraw or drawing issue?

You can try to disable OMTC and leave hardware acceleration in Firefox enabled.

Hp split 13 X2 does not update to windows 8.1 how do I stop the auto update

My notebook runs with Windows 8.0 and functions well. Unfortunately the Windows OS want so to update to Windows 8.1 and my notebook does not accept the upgrade as it will not configure the change. Even though I have set the Windows update to require my approval before updates are initiated it continues to auto update to Windows 8.1. When the update fails my PC automatically reinstalls Windows 8.0 and I am back working again. This has happened 3X in the last 2 months and I am frustrated. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to stop this cycle?

I understand that you are having an issue with updating your Windows 8 to 8.1. Although you have set the update to require your approval before installing the update, it does it automatically.
When the update fails it reverts back to Windows 8 and all is well.

You can also go to the Windows Compatibility Center that may also help to determine what is required for a successful upgrade.
This one from MIcrosoft may also help. Update to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8.

Folders last modified time stamp are not updated in Windows 7

After changing any .cpp file in Visual Studio, the last modified time stamp for the file's folder
IS NOT updated. What's happening ?
However when I change a Word (.docx) file, the last modified time stamp for the file's folder
IS updated ! How come ?

If you thought this issue gets worse and if you have already set NtfsDisblesLastAccessUpdate to 0, then please revoke it to 1.
From the above Blog we can see that in Windows 7, the "Last Modified" field on log files is not updated when a program attempts to open the file or the utility is stopped, this is a design change to NTFS , becase we cache the metadata for
folder contents and do not refresh it until a handle is closed on an open file or an explicit call is made to retrieve the properties of an individual file.
Per your current issue that even if you closed these Vistual Studio files, the timestamp still didn't update. Please try the following and check whether any of them work:
- open the file in a second program
- view the proprties of the file
- "dir <filename>" at a command prompt
In addition, if you edit these Vistual Studio files with Notepad(Before doing that, please close all the programs include Vistual Studio) and try to reproduce the issue, does the issue still occur?

Photo stream not updating on windows PC

icloud used to work with my ipad and download the photos to My Photo Stream. It has stopped doing this. I have now connected an iphone to the cloud and all the photos have downloaded to it. Why will the photos not update to my windows PC?
If I delete all the photos in My Photo Stream it will only update some of the photos for a two week period. (back in November last year).
Any assistance would be welcome.

Sorry for the trouble. That shouldn't happen! I am Vineeth and I am from the Norton Support team.
Can you please disable the Smart Firewall feature in your Norton product temporarily and see whether you can update the iCloud photos? If you can do that, then we may need to allow the iCloud application under the firewall.

Multiclip editing does not update Canvas window with active angle

Hi,
I am trying to do some multiclip editing but for some reason when cutting between angles the canvas viewer does not update with the video. Once I stop playback the cuts are all created properly and the video changes when playing back again. However, when editing the video does not change to the active angle. The audio changes but the video does not.
I have the multiclip playback setting in RT enabled and the canvas and viewer windows synced and matching each other when playing back, and video + audio is set in the sync menu.
I'm now stuck! and would greatly appreciate some help.

Welcome to the family.
I don't mean to brush you off because I understand your frustration. But what we know about mutliclip is that it really does work, if you follow the rules completely. We also know that most of the "multiclip doesn't work" posts are resolved by encouraging the user to be objective and to simply recheck the setup steps in the manual, one at a time. (Editorially speaking: There are too many of them, there are too many stupid gotchas in the multiclip setup. True. Hope springs eternal that FCP6 may fix many of these things. It should be a one-click solution.)
You can search for multiclip here and, after filtering out the nonsense from elitists like me, you should be able to detect something in your configuration that might be keeping you from getting the performance you are expecting.

Quicktime will not update in Windows

when I try to update QuickTime, (windows7 ) I get an error code that there are insufficient privileges to access the start menu folder for QuickTime. I have tried n as admin, changed ownership of the folder.With out this I can not update ITunes. By the way I tunes will not uninstall ether. Any help would be appreciated.

Lets do a few things.
1. Update QuickTime. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
2. Open up QuickTime player.
3. Click on Edit> QuickTime Preferences>Advanced.
4. In the center of this section there is a "Video" section select Safe Mode.
5. Click on Ok and go ahead and close out of QuickTime.
I have also noted that there are SEVERAL bugs with QuickTime and Nvidia Chips.
A few things I suggest you do is to update all of your drivers, and install any pending Windows Updates.
Please post if this worked for you.

I can not update a Windows Server 2008 R2 with Software Update Group in SCCM2012

I got some problems with update deployments these days.
I try to configure SCCM2012 to update 1 Windows Server 2008 R2 (with Hyper-V / This server is in a cluster)
Actually i've 4 other Hyper-V servers and i would like to add one more in the cluster called Hyper-V5. To do that i need that all Hyper-V servers use the same Windows Updates.
I created a collection for my Hyper-V servers and then a Software Update Group with all needed updates (checked the list of another HV-Server).
I did a deployment on this collection using this new Software Update Group.
I checked the Sofwtare Center's logs on the Hyper-V5 server and i saw that synchronization has a successfull state.
But there is no updates installed or displayed in Sofwtare Center.
Here is some screenshots : Oh no i can't post image because ... "Body text cannot contain images or links until we are able to verify your account." waiting to be verified since months.

Have you try to run Software Updates Scan Cycle and Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle Actions on the client? Please check ScanAgent.log and PolicyAgent.log to see whether the client received the updates deployment policy.

ICloud will not update on Window 7 machine

For several months, iCloud updates will not install. I get a 2343 error on my Windows 7 machine. The iTunes updates work if I download and manually install. This is not the case with iCloud. I used the MS Fixit without success. Can someone assist?

Can not update on windows server 2008 R2

Hi All
I have been trying to update windows server 2008 R2 after doing a fresh install. i have used HP smart Start to do the install.
I have a HP ML 350 G5 Server
this is the 3rd time i have tried to install . first time i used smart start and
selected custom install and all the required drivers and updates downloaded from hp fine. i can connect to the internet fine but when i click windows update it starts checking for updates finds something some thing which i think is the update manager. then blanks out
the down load screen and then it comes back on with windows could not search for new update error code 80072F8F. the second i just went with a streight install with out smart and got the same results then with smart start but express install. again with the
same results.
under update history i have windows update agent 7.6.7600.256 successful important 5/2/2011
any help would be very greatfull

ITunes will not update on Windows Vista Inspiron 1525

I have a Windows Vista Inspiron 1525 and iTunes version 9.1 or something. Every time I try to update iTunes/QuickTime to 9.2 or 10.0, it starts installing but stops after awhile. Please comment, whether you have a similar issue or have a solution to this problem. Thank you!

King Penguin set you on the right track. It's probably security software not recognizing the new version of itunes, and blocking it.

Acrobat 8 not updating in Windows 7

Hello, I have CS3 design standard on a Windows 7 PC 32bit.
The automatic updates for Acrobat 8 have stopped working - I'm stuck on version 8.2.2
When I click install I get error: 1646
I tried to do it manually; the adobe program data folder contains the downloaded .msp files;

when I double click them I get the error message:
'Uninstallation of the patch package is not supported'

So... you went to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ and selected your product and then downloaded the updater?
As far as I know, the updater is a standalone EXE file that you run
Added... looked, and they are MSP files, not EXE
But... I do not understand the "uninstall" message

TS3989 Photostream not updating on windows laptop - please help!

My photostream is not automatically updating to the picture library of my windows laptop. The iCloud control panel will not allow me to click Options to check the settings (it just hangs) and I don't know how to uninstall/re-install. Try installing the windows 8.1 drivers from HP's support site, those are more likely to work.
For any issues clarify your OS version, is it 32 or 64 bit?

Adobe files not updated in Windows 7

This is an ongoing source of irritation ... when working on Indesign, Photoshop files, and I save changes, the new date isn't saved, the file always retains the original date. This is a pain since I usually search for the most recent files first. Anyone have any ideas? I am using CS4. thanks

Sounds like you are viewing file created dates when you want file modified dates. I'm not using Windows but there will be display options for Explorer windows.

Latest version iTunes does not update in Windows XP SP3

I had no valuable diagnostic information, just try again. I went to Control Panel and removed the software. Now it does not finish with the installation. During the installation there was a failure because the Apple Mobile service could not start. Has XP SP3 support been removed?
Software is now removed so I will not receive notifications that this bug has been fixed. Please notifiy me via email when done.
