Wvc54gca doesn't recognize wag200g in wifi

Hallo,
ethernet between router and camera is ok with a cable but without cable it doesn't work.
I have tried help step by step on linksys website but without success.
i have a ssid and a 64-bits wep key. I connect to camera at http://192.168.1.110 (for unknow reasons even after 30sec reset it is never 115 !?)
and enter wep key but it changes nothing : impossible to connect without cable. The most funny is that at very first installation with cd it saw the ssid but I confused sentence and key so I came back at from this point camera never saw ssid anymore. not sure the reset button fully resets the camera.
Any idea ?

Hallo,
it works now !!!
In fact, there is a bug with wep key. If you say wep and leave sentence field, it doesn't like it and say you must enter 10 numbers. I have found my sentence I entered several years ago to generate the key and input this and it has worked. When I go into the http://192.168.1.110 the same key has been used than the one I wanted to input.
I have however set the ip address to fix ip instead of advised dhcp.
It is a pity when we connect to camera that we see the administration tabs. Don't you have a web page just with a video window I could add my name, title,... and ftp transfer to my mebsite ?
My final goal is to use three same cameras on a web page.
Now, how can I connect from the net without accessing my pc ?
I have read dmz for xbox... so in my router I have activated dmz without knowing what it is.
I have read a lot on dyndns so I have just created an account but during installation there were questions I couldn't reply (IP address=??? 192.168.1.110 ???)
How can I now polpulate my camera keeping in mind that I have a wep key on the router ?
Many thanks for help
Best regards
Marc

  • My iphone 4s doesn't recognize the home wifi

    Hello,
I bought a new iPhone 4s 3 months ago and updated the software. last night, when i got home, it did not connect automatically to my home wi-fi, as it always does. instead it showed a small circle in the screen  where thw wifi wave signal was before( it is working on 3g). the problem is it doesn't show the home wifi in the list of available networks. I tried switching on and off the wifi and suddenly it went inactive( gray and didn't turn on anymore). I switched off the phone and when i tried in the morning the button was working again and it connected to the home wifi. when I unlocked the sim card, it showed the small circle again and doesn't show the home wifi anymore and it just says not connected. I tried searching the name of my home wifi but it can't find it. my other iphone 4s with the same iOS upgrade works perfectly and connects to the home wifi automatically( no problem at all). my two iPhones are working with the same telecommunication network, and until last night they both connected perfectly.
could you please tell me how to fix this?

    Could try this
This worked for me - after trying everything else!
I wish I had of tried it first!
One of the most common complaints we are hearing from users is that they have been unable to access wi-fi and Bluetooth after installing iOS7.
Here is something you can try:
    - Change the name of your device
The new operating system seems to have an issue with apostrophes. At least when it comes to wi-fi.
Check out your device name. If it is called something like “Claire’s iPhone” it could be the apostrophe that is causing the problem.
To change your device name go to Settings > General > About > Name. Tap on the name to edit it and remove the apostrophe. Save the change. Switch off your phone and then switch it back on again.
Your wi-fi should be working (could be working)

  • Apple TV doesn't recognize computer over WiFi, but does through Ethernet

Home Sharing from iTunes on my Mac Pro to an Apple TV (2nd Generation) only works if the Apple TV is connected to the router using Ethernet (i.e., hardwired). With WiFi (using the same router), the Apple TV won't detect the Mac Pro library. Everything else works fine over WiFi (e.g., Netflix and movie rentals). I can even control the Apple TV using my iPad when connected via WiFi or Ethernet. The only thing that doesn't work via WiFi is access to a network iTunes library. Any suggestions? The router is in bridge mode (i.e., it is an extension of the router that the Mac Pro is connected to). However, since the hardwire connection works, why wouldn't the WiFi connection work? And why does it work for everything but the network library.

Thanks for the suggestions. The problem actually solved itself. When I unplugged my Apple TV, the wireless wasn't recognized so I put it to sleep and woke it back up. When it came back on, the wireless recognized my Mac Pro library. If anyone else has trouble, you might try getting the Apple TV to recognize the desktop by using a hardwire. Then restart the Apple TV (or put it to sleep and wake it back up) with the ethernet unplugged and see if it will show up.
By the way, the bridge mode on my extender isn't a problem. I can hardwire or wireless to the extender router and the IP address on the Apple TV is the same as the host router (i.e., the one that the Apple TV is not plugged into).
    Thanks again.

  • I just installed update version 11.1.4.62.  Now Itunes doesn't recognize my iphone or ipad.  My wife just installed the same version with the same result.  The problem is clearly a problem with itunes.  What's wrong with itunes?

I was running the previous version of itunes and it worked perfectly.  I just installed the latest version of itunes (version 11.1.4.62) and restarted the PC and now itunes doesn't recognize my iphone or my ipad.  I'm running Windows 8.1 on my pc.  I tried diagnostics to no avail.  The diagnostic didn't recognize either device.  As the directions advised, I closed itunes, disconnected the devices and stopped and restarted the apple  mobile device service,  That didn't work either.  My wife, who also has Windows 8.1, has the same problem.  She installed the new version and it doesn't recognize her devices.
Until now, itunes has been totally reliable.  I am convinced the problem is with itunes.  Where do I go from here?

I resolved the issue by doing the following:
    1. Uninstall iTunes and every Apple application (device support and such).
    2. Uninstall bonjour.
    3. Reboot.
    4. Go to Apple and install iTunes.
It worked.  When I opened iTunes (after reinstalling) it recognized all my devices, music and video.

My wife bought me a new one.  It shows up on  my computer (windows vista), but Itunes doesn't recognize it.
How do I get Itunes to recognize it.  I spent a lot of time recording my old cassetes and don't want to start all over again.  I just want to get back to where I was.

  • Suddenly iPad mini doesn't recognize my wifi

    IPad suddenly doesn't recognize wifi

Try to reboot your ipad? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and try again
You can also try to power cycle your router. Unplug the power to the router, count to ten, plug it back in and let it reboot and try again.

  • Modem doesn't recognize Mac

On a cold start, my modem doesn't recognize the Imac. I have to restart the modem to connect the computer to it. All connections are correct and tight. Ethernet to Ethernet. Absolutely no changes other than down loading Mavericks. Apple suggests  taking Imac into store and replacing mother board. Everything worked perfect until new download. The modem does recognize the ethernet connection after sleep, but not after a restart. Anyone else having similar problem.

Linc, thank you for your reply.  The only things listed on the drop down menu are Bluetooth PAN, Firewire, Ethernet 2, Ethernet 1, Bluetooth DUN, VPN, PPPoE, and 6 to 4.  Wifi doesn't exist on the list.  I believe my problem might be that because the light on the Xfinity modem for wifi is not lit, it is not communicating with my Mac Pro.  Although the folks at Xfinity are showing that my wifi is active, it doesn't seem to want to behave.  I don't even know how to activate the wifi on my Mac.  Everyone keeps telling me to click on the little icon at the top of the desktop.  I don't have one of those icons there.

  • MacOS iTunes 11.0.5 doesn't recognize iPad or iPhone.

I just returned from a two week vacation, and plugged my iPad and iPhone into my iMac to sync them and discovered that iTunes doesn't recognize them either on my wifi network, or via USB.
iTunes (11.0.5) does recognize my iPod nano, and iPhoto does recognize my iPhone and iPad.  They are just totally AWOL in iTunes.  I've tried rebooting all of the devices including my computer, and all of the other relavent steps in the troubleshooting guide.  Nothing helped.
I successfully synced both devices to my iMac before leaving for vacation, but I can't remember if I did that before updating iTunes or not.
I even erased my iPad and then tried connecting it to my iMac, and still no luck.
Also, my device back ups are no longer showing up in the "devices" tab in iTunes preferences.
My MacBook Air, running iTunes 11.0.4 recognizes both devices.  Both my laptop and my desktop are running OS 10.8.4
Has anyone else experienced similar issues?  Any solutions?
    Cheers.

I thought I'd reply to my own post in case this can help others.  I solved my issue by downloading and re-installing iTunes.  I didn't even need to un-install it via Terminal first.  I ran the installer, and my iPhone and iPad connected immediately.

  • After reinstalling OS X Mavericks, iTunes doesn't recognize my photosphotos...

    Hi, everybody,
After formating my iMac and reinstalling OS X Mavericks, iTunes doesn't recognize my photos. They are there in iPhoto, but when I try to synch them with my iPhone, for example, iTunes shows the Events, but tell that they're empty (but they are not empty!).
Well, this happens only in my user account - in my wife's account, everything is perfect!
I think it's not a problem with file permissions, because I have checked them and they are ok (well, I think they are ok...).
I tried also to rebuild iTunes Library, iPhoto Library and even reinstall iPhoto and iTunes, but nothing worked...
    Please, could anyone help me?

    Hello marchelr
Try the steps in the article below to troubleshooting your issue with syncing photos to your iPhone.
    iTunes: Unable to sync photos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3697
    Resolution
If you encounter any of the above issues or another issue while syncing photos, try the following:
Ensure that you are syncing the device with the computer with which you normally sync photos.
Within iTunes, select the device, then select the Photos pane and turn off Photo syncing.
Sync your device. Important: This will remove all synced photos from your device.
Disconnect your device and update to the latest version of iTunes.
    Remove your iPod photo cache.
    Connect your device to iTunes.
Select the device, then select the Photos pane and turn on Photo syncing.
    Sync your device.

  • ITunes doesn't recognize either of my iPods

I downloaded the latest update recently and since then iTunes doesn't recognize either of my two iPod touches (4th gen), even though the computer does. My iPad (1st gen) is still recognized normally. I tried uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it several times, and that didn't work. The iPods are recognized by iTunes on other computers. The computer in question runs windows 8.1, if that makes a difference. From the look of these forums it looks like I'm not the only one who has this problem. Please help.
