WVC80N Camera stopped sending email

I had setup my WVC080N Camera to send email via Comcast smtp server port 25. Everything was working fine until a few days ago. Now it fails sending the emails (other functions work fine). I am guessing Comcast blocked the port 25. So I switched to 587 and tried everything as instructed, but email still does not work. I have enabled auth and using the comcast email as the from address.
For testing the smtp service, I setup Outlook to send email via comcast smtp on port 587 and it worked fine. But the Camera still fails to send email under the same settings that work fine for Outlook. Any ideas?

I'm having problem with my WVC80N using the same settings that work with my Linksys WVC54GCA. Doesn't make sense to me. I've upgraded firmware 2 times successfully but the status does not show build 8 like the firmware indicates it should be. Any ideas wherewe go from here. My 54GCA uses comcast smpt and works fine with port 25.

Can you send any emails at all indicating that the mail app is working? Did you try any basic stuff yet?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Close those affected apps and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

My iPad 2 has suddenly stopped sending emails. It puts them in the outbox but that's as far as they go. I've tried turning off ect but no joy. It puts them in the outbox but thats as far as they go.

The restrictions should have no bearing at all as to why mail is not being sent. It will prevent you from making changes to the emai account, so I don't know how you were able to try what I suggested if you can't get into your mail settings.
As for the 10 attempts ...... You get as many tries as you need with that passcode. But the catch is that if you cannot remember it and you need to get into the settings, you have to restore your iPad back to factory settings and start all over again. The only way that you can use a backup is if the backup does not contain that passcode. If you restore from a backup that has the passcode in or, you will jut end up in a never ending loop.
So after having said all of this I would have to assume that you tried my suggestion before you locked yourself out of the settings.

for the past week my iphone 5 has stopped sending emails from my personal (comcast) account and my work (exchange) account. Tried resetting phone, removed and re-input email account information, turned phone off for provider to do a reset. Still nothing. Verizon is out of ideas to fix this issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was having this issue as well with my Yahoo mail and tried everything. The one thing that worked for me was double clicking the home button, closing the Mail app, then reopening it. Suddenly all my emails synced. Anyone else having this problem should try this. :)

Airport Express stops sending emails suddenly

Hi. I'm using airport express 802.11g, and mac mail (OSX 10.7.4).
Last week it just stops sending emails from one of the server providers i use.
I'd already tried everything...reseting, creating new mail accounts, changing, repairing permissions, restarts and so on...
what I find out:
1. if I plug the ethernet cable, it works
2. when using mail over wifi/airport, the 'send' works for @hotmail, @gmail...but doesn't work for my other server emails
3. even thou, if I try to check emails using my server webmail, it works!
4, receiving emails works perfect
5. even when trying the wifi over my iphone, it doesn't send either.
resuming:
problem: send mail, over wifi, just with my 'dreamhost' server mails
weird!
but it's been days I've been trying to find out what is going on, and no clue!
I hope someone could help me!

have you checked for _*wireless interference*_ ?
download iStumbler (does not work on 10.6) or AirRadar (it has a trial period) and note the channels other networks in your vicinity are broadcasting on. change the channel(s) of your network as far away as possible from those.
any improvement ?

My Mac Outlook 2011 Stopped Sending Emails for all POP Accounts from Different Providers

I've had this problem before, but this time I am truly dumbfounded. My Outlook 2011 has randomly stopped sending emails, but I can still receive them. This has happened a few times and I normally change the ports/SSL and I can get it to work. But now I am at a loss. I have several email accounts that I manage. One of which is GMAIL, using IMAP, and this is the only account that currently works find receiving and sending. My POP accounts, four of them, all cannot send emails. They can only receive. One of them is with GoDaddy, and the other three are with an Asian company. I can't find any help on this. I've upgraded Office to the latest version. I've even deleted the accounts and added them back in, and I still can't send email. I'm frankly getting exhausted and sick of this type of problem happening. I honestly use this program and my MacBook Air to send clients information...only to find out hours later that a mail never sent because it's been stuck in my <hidden> Outbox in Outlook 2011. This has hurt me now badly on several occassions. Please HELP!

All SMTP servers are set correctly as far as I can tell, the connection doctor says everything is fine, and I removed all my accounts to re-add them. I added one and tried to send a message--stuck in the outbox--failed. I added another account and deleted the first one and tried to send a message--stuck in the outbox--failed. I'm pretty convinced the problem is with Mac's Mail client...I can send email from anywhere I've tried except for Mac's Mail client. Thanks for the help.

Wvc80n camera stops working

My wvc80n camera stops working all the time & I have to unplug it to make it work. It happens about twice a week now.

I dont think vibrations would cause the camera to stop working.
What other devices do you have in the network? Which router do you use and how far is the camera situated from your router? Do other devices, like wireless computer also get disconnected from the network?

HT1430 I have an iPad and iPhone. I have had both devices set on the same Outgoing Mail Servers but the iPad has stopped sending emails. I have tried everything without success. The iPhone is still working properly.

Our IPad mini stopped sending emails last week. We did not change the settings. We even rebooted. The messages are still in the Outbox. What happened? How do we fix it?

We went to Settings, then Mail. Before Delete Account, we looked at Account again to copy pertinent information to Re Add Account. We scrolled down to Outgoing Mail Server and noticed that the box for Primary was empty and turned off. We had a Server listed in the Secondary Mail Server. We turned the Primary on and resent our Outgoing Mail. It worked. How did the Primary Outgoing Mail Server get turned off if we did not touch it?

my outlook suddenly stopped sending emails. I can still receive emails. but no luck sending. I've added a new account to my outlook and that one sends/receives fine. I have the email on my phone it sends and receives fine. I've tried uninstalling than reinstalling
outlook. Nothing changed. tried the quick fix as well as the internet longer fix. same result nothing changed. this is my business email so I really need to get it figured out. Please Help

Without the detail information of your email accounts, it is difficult to move on. Could you please tell the type of you email account, Exchange, POP3, IMAP or Live account? If it is an Internet account, please detail the email provider, like Gmail, Yahoo
or else.

In most cases this scenario happens if the sending message is stuck in the Outbox somehow, what we could next do is to identify the cause why it would happen.
1. Is there any large message remain in the outbox folder?
2. Authentication problem or simply password expired.
3. The sending message is called by another application like mailscanner?

My 9790 just stopped sending emails and BBMs. It does receive them on a huge lag.

My BB was working fine but stopped sending emails and BBMs and receives them on a huge lag of a day for emails and hours for BBM. The phone is charged and has signal. I have pulled the battery out to reboot it but it does not solve it. Any ideas?

A single email account has 2 different servers, one for receiving and one for sending. BOTH have to be set up separately. I sounds like your outgoing server has "forgotten" your user ID and password.
Sometimes the two servers have the same URL, sometimes different, but even if they are the same URL they use different ports (which essentially makes them different servers) and must still be set up separately.
When you set up the account, after entering your user ID and password for receiving, you must tap the Outgoing (SMTP*) server settings, and enter the server address and your user ID and password a second time for the outgoing server. I know it says "optional", but that is only optional from the phone's perspective; it is not optional from the server's perspective, except in very rare situations where the outgoing server can only be accessed over a private network, and not over the Internet (cwmx.com is an example of an exception; it is AT&T's cellular network SMTP server). The reason it won't automatically use your incoming user ID and password is because there is no requirement that they be the same; for example, you can use Google's SMTP server for sending and a different ISP's server for receiving.

IPad suddenly stopped sending emails.

My iPad was working well until about a week ago when it stopped sending emails. A message saying that an error occurred and the email could not be sent appears at the screen. Emails are still being received.

Two things to try:
1. Reboot your iPad: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 110 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.
If after rebooting your iPad you still can not send mail:
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and delete the mail account
Then re-enter the mail account
Make sure you know your ID and passwords, servers, etc., so you can easily add the mailbox back.
I have had to do this, especially with Yahoo once or twice and after doing so, was able to send and receive again.
