WVC80N software "unable to set up remote viewing" with TZO

I've researched this all night and I'm now begging for help.
I've got the camera all set up and I can view it while on the local network. The problem comes in when I try to sign up for the 90-day free TZO trial that comes with the camera to try to get remote viewing on my iPhone. I progress through the Linksys setup software (as is detailed here: http://www.tzo.com/MainPageSupport/HowToPage/LinksysHomeMonitoringNCameraTutorial.html) and between steps 7 and 8, I get a screen that says "Unable to set up remote viewing" with my network, click this link to learn how to remotely view your camera. The link takes me to a page on the TZO site that says "Oops, there was an unknown error with setting up you camern for remote access" and nothing else. It seems to die on the "Configuring Internet Server" step.
Within the camera's setup page, there's a link to the TZO website that tells me that because I have a WVC80N, I have to use the setup CD to set up the 90-day free trial, which fails as described above.
I've set the camera to have a fixed IP of 192.168.1.200
I've set the Alternative Web Access Port to 1024
In Port Range Forwarding in the router, I've set 1024 to 1024 to forward to 192.168.1.200 (not sure exactly what this does)
The router is a WRT160N
Any ideas?

Have you tried getting in touch with TZO and set the DDNS up the old fashioned way? I also know that TZO has a beta going on of a new IP camera application for remote viewing and this may also help. Not sure why the setup is failing though, but oook is probably right, something wacky with the router, IP or ISP that the setup software just doesn't like.

If it was me, I would first look into Teamviewer to see if it will do what you need. It does work between Mac and Windows and it is free for non-commercial use. http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx

Unable to pair Apple Remote App with iTunes

I am running a Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965 with Windows Vista SP 2. My iTunes software is 8.2.1.6, and my iPhone 3GS is running OS 3.0.1 (7A400). Both the Satellite and iPhone are connected to the same WiFi local network, and yet the App "Remote" by Apple Software is unable to communicate with iTunes to allow the entry of the four digit code to establish control of the iTunes library. Shortly after purchasing the iPhone 3GS I purchased the Satellite, but in the couple of weeks between the purchases the Remote App worked fine on my Gateway running Windows XP SP2. I have been through Apple Telephone support twice, and have really run one of the technicians through the mill researching possible solutions. I have visited an Apple Store Genius, who could find no reason for the problem. The iPhone and Remote App worked perfectly well on the store's WiFi and Mac, but his iPhone also wouldn't work with my laptop. I have been through Kaspersky's technical support system to ensure that there isn't a firewall issue. They have assured me, after reviewing logs from my laptop, that this is not the case. I even went so far as to uninstall all my Kaspersky product, but the Apple Remote App still would not function properly. I have updated the router's firmware, and checked that the laptop's wireless card is running the latest driver. At this point I can't think of anything else to try but would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Steve

Monday 7th Jan.
Just to say that Apple did call me this am to discuss the problem on foot of a call I made last week.
In the meantime the remote worked with both a 2007 IMac and a 2009 laptop but not on the m-mini.
When I tried pairing this morning during the call by pressing Menu and next together it paired.
The change is very subtle, it just says paired in the advanced section of the security et sl section as referred before, with a fleeting 2 intersecting rings icon.
The big difference is that Front Row is gone....
The remote only works to a limited degree within some apps such as iTunes and iPhotos.
In theory it controls the volume in iTunes but as of now for me it doesnt....:( need to look more.
As to what the problem was:
It seems there is a set of keyboard combinations that can be used to force a reset the ID of the remote, the suggestion is MAYBE that by getting it to work on the iMac and laptop in some way reset the ID.
This stuff is WAY beyond my skill level:)
I did impress upon Apple the need to look at the issue in threads like this....

Unable to syndicate same Remote System with differnt value

I am working on MDM 7.1 SP05 and I have the following issue with syndication:
I have a remote system table (Key Enabled) with System as Non-Qualifier and value as Qualifier and I have values in the MDM Datamanager as
MDM ID, Remotesystem (Multivalue Qualifier Table with Key Enabled)
111,((Qual1-Key,Val1),(Qual1-Key,Val2),(Qual1-Key,Val3))
When I syndicate I see only one value as 111, (Qual1,Val3)... But I want to have all the Qualifiers-Key with multiple values.. Where as in MDM 5.5 I can see all the Qualifiers with out any issues..Is this a restriction in MDM 7.1?
If I map System instead of Remote Key of Qualifier Table then I can see multiple times of same remote system with appropriate values.. But If I map remote key then I see the consolidated/the latest system-remote key wiht value... But I want system-remote key value appear multiple times...

Creative Zen Vision 30GB - How to set IR Remote ON with Navigation keys not working in the play

I have Creative Zen Vision 30GB player. Within a month of buying, its navigation keys stopped working. I took it to the customer service of store where I bought it and they fixed it (their solution was to make firmware update, even though I do not understand how come that can fix this issue). Anyways after another 5 months of not so often use, the same problem returned (key pad stopped working and without it this player is useless). I sent it to Creative and they returned it saying that as it has few scratches on the edges, they believe it has been hit. I never dropped the player and these are normal scratches at the end if you do not use any skin (which I could never find for this player). Btw from my other friend's experiences, Creative always does like this, never considered warranty (so beware!). Anyways now the problem is that I have IR remote for Zen vision but it can not work till IR Remote setting in System->Player Settings is switched ON. And this can not be done as the navigation keys are not working. So please please suggest me some other way if anybody of you know to enable this setting through software. Otherwise this costly player is just a 30GB harddisk for me

Just wanted to mention - I bought the IR Remote thinking to make the player useful without navigation keys. Now I feel like I wasted more money instead of shifting to some other player by some other company with better customer service.

How do you set up Paged View with Spry Data Sets

Hope someone can help. I have constructed a Spry data set using a html table and want to use the paged view javascript to limit the amount of rows displayed on one page at a time to 10 then forcing a new page. Have found the java script file in the spry 1.6 download and attached it to the spry assets folder and have followed the instructions found at the Adobe development center   http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/pager/index.html        with no luck. Have attached files to show what I have done. If someone could look at this and point out my error or suggest a better way I would be grateful. I am not a code warrior so simple instructions would be so helpful. Many thanks in advance.

Your region needs to refer to the pageview, not the dataset. Your paged view var is already looking at/pulling in the ds.
I would change the following code:

Setting up remote sites with a domain controller at each

Hello, I am setting up offices at 2 locations for the first time and I was wondering where I should go to get the best step by step information. My goal is to have a Windows 2012 (standard) server at each location acting as primary and secondary DC. User
log in at each location would act as one and file sharing would be seamless. Since this is my first venture, it goes without saying that I have a lot of questions... To name a few; as I will be using DHCP, are the private IP's at each location the same or
different? Would it be faster and more efficient to keep user-A files at their home location or put all the data to be accessed on one server? The questions could go on but this is not the place for it. I have done extensive searching on the topic but either
I get bits and pieces or the sites assumes that you already know a step so much is overlooked in assumptions. Help

For the 2 questions:
1. Generally we will setup 2 sites for different locations so that computers know which site they are located.
2. Local file server is much more efficient - users will always access a local server - access a remote server will be very slow unless you have high network connectivity.
In order to get users accessing local file server, site-cost need to be set (so we need to use different sites for different locations).

Unable to set up dual band with my 1st Gen Airport Extreme

Not sure if my 1st Gen Airport extreme supports this but I unable to figure out how to setup dual band networking. I have certain devices that work on 2.4 Ghz and some that work on 5ghz. I trying to improve my network speed by separating the devices that can use 5ghz. Any advise please?

1st Gen AirPort Extreme will do either 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz....but not both simultaneously.
Simultaneous dual band was introduced in the 3rd Gen AirPort Extreme.
Simplest solution.....the current AirPort Express will do simultaneous dual band. You could then reconfigure the AirPort Extreme to extend the 2.4 GHz network for increased coverage.
Be careful with 5 GHz as this is pretty much a "same room" or "line-of-sight" deal since 5 GHz signals are much weaker than 2.4 GHz signals....they won't penetrate through walls or other obstructions nearly as well as 2.4 GHz signals.

Problems setting up remote speakers with Airport Express

I have an airport express hooked up with powered speakers via a mini pin stereo connector/rca connectors. I have checked "Enable Airplay" in the Airport Utility configuration for this AE, which is my ONLY wifi device and functions as my router as well. In iTunes, there is NO speaker selection tab on the bottom right of the iTunes window. I am using iTunes 10, latest version, and the Airport Utility software is up to date. The base station is an 802.11g. I believe I have tried everything. Correct answer anyone?

Temporarily, try plugging a pair of headphones into the audio jack on the Express to simulate speakers.
Restart the entire network.

BIS users in Pakistan::: HTML email view with images

Mobilink, service provider, has updated their BIS to 2.5 in July. But they are unable to provide HTML email view with images on Blackberry sets running on ver. 4.5.
Mobilink says that it is only available to BES users at the moment. BIS users will get it late on.
Please explain, is it a Mobilink issue or RIM? as all around the world BIS users are getiing it.

i dont beleive this. RIM wont leave out Mobilink, infact they cant. The upgrade was done on BIS servers across the board not for some service providers. You probably wanna try another device or may be re-install oS On device?

Unable to set import lock for software component version

Hi team,
While importing object (.tpz) file into integration repository we are getting error message as below.

try again once user <userid> has finished importing data

We checked with the user and found he is not doing any activity in fact he logged off. the developer wants to import and how do we terminate this import attement and proceed with new importing of the same object
We wan't to avoid cache refresh as this is production environment
We already performed clear SLD data cache with in the IR not for whole.

PlayBook is unable to properly load software upon initial set-up

My new PlayBook is unable to properly load software upon initial set-up. I am connected to a power source. I tried several times both through USB connection and wall charger. Using the Device Manager, as you probably know, is irrelevant because my device is not even set up yet. What should I do to successfully set up 2.0?

Are you able to connect to a wifi source such as your AT&T. If you are having trouble connecting to your router, try to connect to an open source such as McDonalds or Starbucks. If you can connect to an open source, the PB wifi is fine but your router settings may need changing.

Unable to set flags independently in Compare View in LR3

When I select a specific image in the compare view (LR3) and tag it as "Rejected" (hitting "x"). both images up for compare are being flagged as rejected. both the good and bad. Maybe my memory is not serving me correctly, but I thougt that in the prior versions of LR you could flag each image independently in the Compare view, that is flag one as "Rejected" and the other as a "Pick" ("p"). Now I am having to look at the images in Compare on one monitor and go over to my second one that is showing the Library and select the images to be rejected and hit "x" and then select the one that is a keeper and click "p". This seems to be rather counterintuitive and cumbersome. It seems a natural expectation to want to compare images side by side and then flag the one you want to keep and flag then independently flag the ones that are not keepers. Is what I am experiencing normal? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, it makes sense. LR thinks that the Grid is on the primary monitor, which is why both images get flagged when you hit "p".
