WWI preview doesn't show phrases

Hello,
I created a template as Report-Template (SBE).I used symbols of idetifiers, labels and symbols of value assignment with phrases.
My problem is that in the WWI preview all the symbols with phrases are not shown. Value assignments and even labels (which is just a reference to a phase!?)
The mysterious thing is, that if I chose at the preview a language where there is no phrase for in the catalog I get a error that there is no phrase created in this language (which is correct). But in the correct language the preview just show blanks.
I'm sure that the problem is in relation to the language but I cant find it.

Hello Gerhard,
There are two things to be considered here:
1. The preview for the languages for which you get the message "phrase does not exist in the specified language" - here the said phrase must not be maintained in the languages concerned. To confirm the same, please go to t-code CG12 and check the phrase item is maintained in what all languages.
2. If the phrase text is being maintained in the preview language and then the output comes blank - then you need to check the rating / validity area of the value assignment types (which may be phrase enabled characteristics in the property tree) vis-a-vis the rating / validity area of the generation variant. Also check what is the "usage" maintained in the generation variant; this has to be in concurrence with the validity areas maintained for the value assignment types. For detailed information on its significance, press F1, or visit help documentation.

Preview doesn't show up in the capture window

When trying to capture, the video preview doesn't show up in the capture window, only the color bars. I am able to run my transport with the buttons and the key commands, so I know the Canon ZR500 is really communicating (easy setup: DV-NTSC), via firewire. My scratch disk is a G-Raid hooked up through the firwire 800 input. The crazy thing is, it worked only one time. I've wasted one whole day and this morning, restarting, rebooting, unplugging, different tapes, etc. Next step is takew my entire setup to the so-called Genius Bart and see if Apple's Geniuses know anything about Apple software. Frustrating as ****. I will never buy Apple again.

Careful about editorializing. There are lots & lots of Mac users who are successfully capturing from Canon camcorders. I am one of them, and have never had a problem. So there is something in your setup that needs to be uncovered, it's not FCE or Canon per se.
One observation, you have a small hard drive (100GB) and even though you appear to have 59GB free, that's actually not a lot of space. One hour of DV consumes about 13GB and during capture the Mac temporarily needs nearly 2x that space, which means your system is using the 'inner' cylinders of the hard drive, where performance slows down; this could explain your dropped frames problem. Can you move some stuff off your system HD onto your G-RAID (say, your iPhoto and iTunes libraries if you are using those apps, they often take a lot of disk space)?

Template Preview Doesn't show images

I've created a template but when i go to create a new page
from the template the preview doesn't show the images.
Here's what i see

When i give it a name and open it it shows the page with the

THis is a real stab in the dark, but at the top of the "next column" there is a small grey arrowhead next to the word "preview" which, if clicked, will rotate to two different positions. One position shows a preview, the other rotated position does not show the preview.
Try clicking on the arrow.

Preview doesn't show conditional fields in PDF document

A PDF document created with Adobe Acrobat has several radio buttons with a dropdown field conditional on each one. These dropdowns don't show in Preview, but do show in the Adobe reader. Any suggestions for the form developer?

We get these files from the vendor , he creates the file in Adode illustrator for us and he saves the f
ile in PDF format and sends them . He aslo advised he can open
the filre in acrodat pro version and the print pervi
ew is fine and he can print the file with out any issue.

Preview doesn't show images, while Acrobat does

I have a pdf file that has many images. on Preview, it only shows black outline where the image should be, but the image itself is blank.
but when I open the same document using Acrobat, the image appears.
any idea why this is happening?

Time off in print preview doesn't show

Hi,
I'm working in Project 2010 on a Windows 7 machine.
In the Gantt-diagram the time off (saterday and sunday) is shown.
However, it doesn't in the print preview neather on the print itself. Te free time is just as blank as the rest of the week.
I use project a lot but never had this problem.
Even when I copiet the rows to another project where I didn't have the problem, the problem also moved to that project..
Hope anybody can help me with this problem.

Have you compressed the print so you are not showing every day? Check File > Print and click the Page setup hyperlink. On the Page tab does it show 100% ?

Preview doesn't show some info shown by Acrobat Reader

I received a pdf attachment announcing a local job fair actually being run by Microsoft. It displayed in my mail message but they seemed to have omitted the date of the fair. I asked friends with Windows machines who had also received that mailing and attachment, and they said that the date is showing right at the top. So I detached the PDF, opened it in Adobe Reader 7.0.7 and the date was right there in big letters. Then I opened it in Preview, and the date was missing again (as were a couple of other lines). I checked, and the version of Preview I am running is 3.0.6, and it's obviously got a problem.

Preview doesn't show 'open recent' items

When Preview is open, File-->Open Recent shows only 'clear recent'. Checking all different values for 'recent items' in System Preferences makes no difference in Preview. Some other apps work with 'Open Recent' (eg Pages) but not all (eg TextEdit behaves as Preview). Anybody see something similar, or know a fix? Thanks!

from the contextual menu.* An Info dialog should open.
Does the dialog show "You can read and write" in the Sharing & Permissions section?
In the General section, is the box labeled Locked checked?
What is the Modified date?
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). Open a TextEdit window and paste into it (command-V). Select the line you just pasted and continue as above.

Preview doesn't show JPG files

I keep having problems viewing JPG files in Preview. The image displays in the Finder, it displays in the thumbnail view for 'Downloads" and it will even appear in the sidebar for Preview if I choose to show the sidebar, but it does not appear in the Preview main window.
I tried deleting the com.apple.Preview.plist file as recommended in an old thread, but it didn't help.

Just turn on milimeters in preview module and prev
iew is on again. This works on all of my catalogues.

Presets preview doesn't show in Navigator

Hi, I have LR3. Following function doesn't work for me: there is no preview in Navigator for presets.
Should be: " To preview the effects of a preset on your photo, move the pointer over it in the Presets panel and view the effects in the Navigator panel."

you can see the navigator in the left panel in the develpment mode?
On the screenshot you see the navigator (with preset applied), the presets blow and my raw file in the right part of the screenshot.

My browser (and preview) doesn't show images in Muse...

My browser (and preview) is not able to show images hosted on my local server, however when I access those HTML files directly it works; It seems that something is blocking HTTP traffic from my Mac. Please help me find the root cause. Thank you! I am wasting hours on this.

I've been looking online and others seem to have similar issues but i haven't found any solutions.

Preview doesn't show

I am working on my first project since I upgrated to iMovie 6. It is a slide show and I have gone through each photo to put the Ken Burns effect and time for the photo using the "Show Photo Settings". Toward the end of the project, I got a warning that the startup disk was getting full and to remove some file. (I have 5.5 GB memory.) I did that, but it showed I only had 130 MB left for my project. So, I emptied the trash. It now shows 2.5 GB left, but now I can't see any preview when I go in to change some of the photo setting. Any suggestions?

Is there any solution to this "bug"? Now we're having a problem with transitions in the same project. I have a slideshow with about 80 photos. I put transitions in the first half and then I got an error code saying there was an unknown error, that it might continue alright but I may want to save, quit imovie,m and launch imovie again. I did that and it still won't let me put any more transitions in. This is my first project since going to iMovie 6 and I've had nothing but problems with iut.

PDF File in Preview doesn't show text fields, but OK in Adobe Acrobat

Someone emailed me a pdf document which I opened in Preview. All the the text fields where there was supposed to be data were blank.
I then opened in Acrobat and everything was there. Saved a copy from Acrobat and opened in Preview and the text was finally visible.
Anyone have a clue why this would be happening?
I'm running Leopard 10.5.1

Preview doesn't show up anything

Hello everybody,
It happened that "Preview" just does not open anymore any PDF I want to look at.
The space-tab preview function still works, but I am not able to completely open up a document.
The problem still stay even though I ran the "permission repair" tool (I just gave it a chance...) and several restarts.
Does anybody know ho to fix this?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.
