Wwv_flow.accept HTTP-404 (htmldb 1.6)
Hi,
I am unable to upload any files into htmldb 1.6 on 10g (running on Linux RHEL3).
To upload an image I perform the following steps:
- go into the shared components section
- click on the images link
- click create
- browse for the image
- click upload
In the Apache error file it gives the following:
wwv_flow.accept HTTP-404 ORA-00942: table or view doews not exist
On Metalink a FIX for this problem found in Note:301329.1:
HTTP-404 When trying to import From a spreadsheet in Data Workshop.
The fix was applied but I am still receiving the same error even after restarting the Oracle HTTP Server.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Wwv_flow.accept HTTP-404 ORA-01031
Hi ... I am running APEX 3.0 ...I was having trouble uploading images in my applications and to test whether it was my apps or not, I created a new workspace with the standard sample application - which gives the same error as in my apps.
The error appears when I attempt to upload an image. The apache error log entries for this error are the following:
[Sat May 19 12:28:07 2007] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] [ecid: 1179595687:***.168.2.127:4272:4248:1,0] mod_plsql: /stage/wwv_flow.accept HTTP-404 ORA-01031: insufficient privileges\n
[Sat May 19 12:29:52 2007] [error] [client 192.168.2.103] [ecid: 1179595792:***.168.2:4272:3064:13,0] mod_plsql: /stage/p HTTP-404 ORA-01403: no data found\nORA-06512: at "FLOWS_030000.WWV_FLOW_FILE_MGR", line 96\nORA-06512: at "FLOWS_030000.P", line 26\nORA-06512: at line 22\n
The forums expert assistance will be highly appreciated ...
Thanks
PterPierre,
Can you show us the block of code that is failing? The error message says it's getting a 1403 in the "p" procedure. That procedure is used for downloading, not uploading.
Scott -
Following on from the previous problem I had with Error 33331, we moved the application to a new APEX installation. Everything was fine for 30 mintes until
we started getting this error :-
PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'SHOW'
I've put in tracing in the httpd.conf file at info level and switched on mod_plsql tracing. Everything went fine for another 40 minutes but we're now getting the same errors, the following is one of the mod_plsql trace files.
I have a hunch caching is at the root of the problem ?

mod_plsql: /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept HTTP-400 Too many arguments passed in. Got 3250 parameters. Upper limit is 2000
Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.3.1.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at insightapps.oraclecorp.com Port 80Section 1.10 of the Oracle HTTP Server mod_plsql User's Guide states the following
The total number of name value pairs that can be passed to a PL/SQL procedure is 2000.
mod_plsql limits the total number of parameters that can be passed to a single procedure to 2000.
mod_plsql limits the size of a single parameter that can be passed to a procedure to 32000 bytes.
It would be helpful to know how each of these apply in the APEX context

Wwv_flow.accept, error 404 page not found
I am trying to install the OEHR Sample Objects for the Hosted Demo environment at apex.oracle.com site so I can do the Oracle Application Express 2 Day + Tutorial. I downloaded the zip file and got the .sql file extracted ok. The import works ok for the application, but hangs when trying to load the Supporting Objects. It eventually gives me that nasty old error 404 page not found when on MS windows 2000 and IEexplorer 6 ( and a similar result in xp using IEexplorer 7).
I cannot do much in the tutorial without the samples.
Any ideas, anyone else gotten stuck here? ThanksDimitri,
Many thanks for the reply.
The problem appears to be intermittent and can happen on, quite literally, any link or button. Anything which causes either a page submit or link through to another page is a likely candidate. And this isn't just whilst running the app - it's within the app design part, too. It seems to be an issue (possibly) with page delivery.
My gut feeling is that it seems to happen more after the DB has been up for a while. However, this may just be a matter of perception as I've also had it happen within minutes of a DB restart.
I'll have a play around with apex.oracle.com, but my suspicion is that the Oracle site works fine (this would be a far more visible error if it happened on apex.oracle.com, too).
One thought is that it might be an EPG config issue - it'd be interesting to check the config of an Oracle-supplied Apex area, if that were possible. Another thought is that it could be the network, though (typically) everything else on the network appears to be running fine...
Many thanks,
David -
Import results in /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server
Hello All,
i've tried to import an application export file and the import function results in the error mentioned above. Connecting, creating the workspace was working fine...
any ideas?
Apache error_log has the following entries:
[Mon Sep 26 09:18:45 2005] [warn] mod_plsql: Stale Connection due to Oracle error 942
[Mon Sep 26 09:18:45 2005] [error] mod_plsql: /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept ORA-942 ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

have you checked the XE forum on this issue ( Oracle Database Express Edition (XE) ) ?
What exactly are you trying to do and what is the error message you get?
To see the error log as you see in Apache, logon as SYSTEM via SQL*Plus and execute:
SQL> execute dbms_epg.set_global_attribute('log-level', 3);The error log will go to the database trace file app/oracle/admin/XE/bdump/xe_s00?_????.trc. Please ignore the bogus error message "Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: Unknown attribute 3" in the error log.
BTW, here are the log levels:
0 - LOG_EMERG
1 - LOG_ALERT
2 - LOG_CRIT
3 - LOG_ERR
4 - LOG_WARNING
5 - LOG_NOTICE
6 - LOG_INFO
7 - LOG_DEBUG
Since XE beta doesn't yet support any other languages than English, please try to set the Primary Application Language in your custom application to en-us.

Error 404 wwv_flow.accept was not found
I'm on Apex 3.0 and Oracle 10.2.0.1.0
Suddenly my applications started to behave strangley:
In tabular forms when I am deleting row(s) I'm getting Error 404 and it says
The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server.
I have not shanged application lately except that I am doing some translations via XLIFF.
Apache log file shows:
mod_plsql: /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept HTTP-404 ORA-03113:...
mod_plsql: Unable to reset state for mode 0: Err 3114 url=>/pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept
Any idea? Please!
JanisIt's a very weird bug indeed! It behaves somewhat randomly.
Logging out and in again helps for some tabular forms to perform a single delete operation but not for others.
Flushing shared pool has no effect.
Recreating the page has the same problem.
Removed translation mapping (which i suspected) - no effect.
Finally, I guess I found the problem.
My tabular forms are built on views with INSTEAD OF triggers.
The view definition itself was written using JOIN operators for joing data tables.
When I converted SQL syntax back to Oracle style it seems to have solved the problem.
I'll have to do more testing on this - but it definitely must be registered under a new bug number (i guess)

Hello,
It seems like others on this forum have posted this same question, although I still can't find my solution.
I'm trying to import an application into Apex, but I end up getting a 404 Not Found error message, with "The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server". I checked the Apache error logs and this is what I see, but can't seem to understand what I need to do:

I realized what my problem was. It was in the marvel.conf file, contents listed below. Normally we remove the two lines below in bold. When I put them back in, I was able to load my app. Thanks for tipping me off in the right general direction!

Hello Experts,
Im getting following error on my Apex Application :-

I've got a form which a has a select list, depending on the select list, Check boxes are displayed on the form
I've got the following code in "HTML Form Element Attributes" for the Select list Item :-
onchange="setCheckbox(this, 'P3_CHECKBOX_ITEM');"
And I've got the following AJEX to create the Checkboxes :-
function setCheckbox(pThis, pItem){
var l_code = '';
var l_code1 = '';
// Get checkbox name
rName = $x(pItem).firstChild.name;
alert(rName);
// Fire AJAX
var get = new htmldb_Get(null,html_GetElement('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=CHECKBOX_LIST',0);
get.add('F109_SELECTLIST_ITEM_1',pThis.value);
gReturn = get.get('XML');
if (gReturn)
var values = gReturn.getElementsByTagName('value');
var messages = gReturn.getElementsByTagName('message');
// Build the checkbox
for (i=0; i<values.length; i++) {
var rValue = values.firstChild.nodeValue;
var rMessage = messages[i].firstChild.nodeValue;
if (rValue != 1) {
// l_code+='<DIV ID="P3_CHECKBOX_ITEM">Roles</DIV>';
//alert(rName);
l_code+='<input id='+pItem+' type=checkbox value='+rValue+' name="checkbox">';
l_code+='<label for='+pItem+'_'+i+'>'+rMessage+'</label>
if (l_code=='')
l_code1 += '<DIV ID="P3_CHECKBOX_ITEM"></DIV>';
else
l_code1 = '<br><DIV ID="P3_CHECKBOX_ITEM">Roles</DIV>'+l_code+'</br>';
$x(pItem).innerHTML = l_code1;
Everything works as it should I don't tick any of the check box, but as soon as I tick the check boxes I get the above mentioned Error.
Can anyone please help?
ThanksYou are trying to create a checkbox on the fly and submit it with the page.
But then APEX checks all the submitted items, detects your checkbox and doesn't know where to put it. So it raises an exception.
You should disable your checkbox before submit, then it won't get sent back to the server. You also could remove the "name" attribute of your checkbox, APEX will ignore it then. Whatever suits your needs best.
brgds,
Peter

SQL error not displayed. Instead wwv_flow.accept was not found
Hi,
My Question:
Why does the SQL error in this case not get propagated up the chain?
BACKGOUND:
Just spent a few hours trying to figure out why when trying to insert into a table using a wizard created page I was getting the error: The requested URL /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server. It turns out that the error message is a red herring, and the problem was caused by a SQL error that I thought should have been caught and displayed.
When running the page under debug, the error is displayed, but run as Joe Blow user, the www_flow.accept error is received.

Export / Import error (wwv_flow.accept not found)
Here is what I have ... (APEX version 2.2)
- A machine running http server / database having a apex application built on it.
- A second totally separate machine with http server / database and apex installed with no applications.
I want to export the application from one database and then import into the second database. So I exported the application using UNIX file format and saved away the file. Then I attempted to import this file with file type application and file char set Unicode. After clicking next I get the error 'File Not Found' with the url being http://<hostname>:7777/pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept
What am I missing? Thank you for any help and let me know if I am missing some information since I am new to this.I am trying to export an application developed on 10gR2 on my Windows laptop with Apex 221 into an AIX (unix) 9iR2 9206 database, also running Apex 221. The user interface on both works.
I am connecting to both right now with the http bundled with 10gR2 on the same laptop until this evening when I can bounce the IAS so it can access the 9i database.
I am getting this error:

What table or view are they talking about?Thanks Sergio. We actually found it last night. It seems that the Itanium install instructions may have a typo on the table tames...Please see this note from one of our DBAs...
Here's the deal. The instructions in Oracle Database Companion CD Installation Guide / Chapter 5 Post Installaction Tasks / Post Installation Tasks for HTML DB / HP-UX Itanium and Linux Itanium Only: Configure a DAD for Oracle HTML DB (which I followed to the letter) are incorrect. It shows:
Field Value
Document Table WWW_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$
Document Access Procedure WWW_FLOW_FILE_MANAGER.PROCESS_DOWNLOAD
The original $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/modplsql/conf/marvel.conf had the following values:
PlsqlDocumentTablename wwv_flow_file_objects$
PlsqlDocumentProcedure wwv_flow_file_manager.process_download
Note that for Itanium, the you delete all but the first line from marvel.conf.
The difference is in the prefix of the value assignments, wwv instead of www.
I changed the DAD to match the values in an unedited marvel.conf. -
Wwv_flow.accept - 'page cannot be found' error
Hello,
We are currently having problems where we are trying to upload files and sometimes we are getting the wwv_flow.accept - 'page cannot be found' error. Sometimes we can upload the file and then sometimes we get the error message and is very random.
We have checked the marvel.conf file and the PlsqlDocumentTablename parameter is set to wwv_flow_file_objects$ so that's not it.
We have checked the apache log and all we can see is the following error message:
[Tue Jul 17 15:20:22 2007] [error] [client 10.200.36.18] [ecid: 79243024857,1] mod_plsql: /pls/htmldb_test2/wwv_flow.accept HTTP-404 ORA-01401:
inserted value too large for column
So does anybody have any ideas? As I said its seems a bit random as sometimes we can upload the file and sometimes we can't and get the error.
We are currently using Apex 2.2.0.00.32.
Thanks in advance,
Paul.Hi Scott,
Yes when we try and load the same file, 70% of the time it doesn't upload and 30% it does so I can't really say what the problem is.
Here is the DAD info:
<Location /pls/htmldb_test2>

PlsqlDocumentPath docs
AllowOverride None
PlsqlDocumentProcedure wwv_flow_file_mgr.process_download
PlsqlDatabaseConnectString test2 TNSFormat

PlsqlAuthenticationMode Basic
SetHandler pls_handler
PlsqlDocumentTablename wwv_flow_file_objects$
PlsqlDatabaseUsername APEX_PUBLIC_USER
PlsqlDefaultPage apex
PlsqlDatabasePassword <password>
Allow from all
</Location>
Our database version is: 9.2.0.8
Character Set is: UTF8
I will ask our DBA to see if he can apply this patch too.
Cheers,
Paul.
