WWWLSNR30.exe is hanging

Hi All,
I'm using 11.0.3 with 8.0.5 on Windows NT SP4
Every once in a while, the users complain that they cannot login into the applications. At that time I observe that the process WWWLSNR30.exe in the application server is taking too much of CPU(more than 50%).
No matter how much time I wait, it keeps on utilizing the CPU and the server doesn't service any connect requests.
Even when I shut down all the Apps Services, it still remains. I have to restart the server again.
What can be the cause of the problem, and how to remedy it? Since I'm running production and test on the same server how to find out to which Application the process is attached?
TIA
Naveen

Hi About ur problems solution will be able to get through if you are accurate about the problems.
Always there will be only one WWWLSNR30 will be running for prod and test.
The matter of hanging is that obevioly it will be utilizing CPU because that you running 2 instances (appl tops)on same time.
Meanwhile just can u try to bring down concurrent manager and form services web for Test database and work with only for PROD and check for 1 day.
After you will be able to come down with some good conclusion about the problem which could be the remedy for ur problems.
Hope you will be through after that.
Get back if still u have the issue.
Thanks and Regards

  • Win7 x64 itunes*32.exe process hanged up and window not open

    sry,my english not good.
    windows 7 x64 and itunes 10.5, after install, itunes*32.exe(Not AppleMobileDeviceService.exe) process hanged up , cpu(1/4 cores) up to 100% .

    Sounds stupid, but this will actually work.
    1. Quit iTunes.
    2. Start an elevated command prompt (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right Click "Command Prompt" -> "Run as Administrator")
    3. Once in the command prompt, type "netsh winsock reset" and hit ENTER.
    4. Restart iTunes.
    Problem solved.
    At least this fixed it for me on my own Windows 7 x64 installation.  I had AppleMobileDevice.exe, APSDaemon.exe, and iTunes.exe all at 25% CPU simply from opening up iTunes.
    25% CPU for me is 100% CPU per core since I have 4 cores.

  • Htmldoc.exe cfhtml2pdf hangs on images

    We have a bunch of apps that were happily generating pdf's on
    CF5 from http web page calls. We
    finally upgraded to MX 7, and it doesn't work on images.
    After much investigation, it seems that we can generate text-only
    fine, but throw in an image and it either ignores or hangs the
    process.
    I started to rewrite these using CFDocument/pdf, but alas,
    the scaling is so different, would be a better solution to get the
    original code working properly.
    Has any one else had this issue with HTMLDOC.exe using
    CFhtml2pdf and images embedded in web pages?
    Thanks,
    Chuck

    OK -- by way of update: after many hours of
    testing/troubleshooting, we were able to "fix" our hanging problem
    by putting any images in the very same directory as the template
    that is being "scraped" by CFHTTP and then processed by CFHTML2PDF
    (which calls HTMLDOC.exe via cfexecute). Essentially, <img
    src="./image/blahblah.gif"> would hang, while <img
    src="blahblah.gif"> works fine.
    Odd! The problem we had in converting to cfdocument with pdf
    format was that the scaling was very different. This was a problem
    for users who complained about the smaller format. It became easier
    to try and troubleshoot the "legacy" component rather than rescale
    the HTML.
    Thanks to all who responded.

  • Jobserverchild.exe process hanging

    Hi
    We have installed a new implementation of XIr2. Note that we have an existing implementation which does not do this. We have a setting on the deski job server of Max Jobs Allowed =2. Each time a report is run, it opens a jobserverchild.exe process in Task Manager. If we schedule another report while the first report is running, we get another jobserverchild.exe process. If we schedule multiple reports concurrently, these will continue to use the 2 jobserverchild processes. If all these reports complete, then we schedule another report, the jobserverchild process hangs, and the report stays at status Pending in infoview. If we view the process in Task Manager, the Mem Usage does not change, which indicates the process is hanging. This is causing us severe problems.
    Help pls.

    Use following method.
    u2022 -maxChildReqs <N>
    Sets the maximum number of jobs processed by one job server child
    before it shuts down and restarts (in case you want a to use a
    number between 1 [OUTPROC] and 100 [MIXEDPROC])
    Job server children will also automatically shut down if left unused for a
    period longer than 2 hours.

  • Acrobat X intermittently won't launch, multiple Acrobat.exe processes hanging in task manager

    Apologies if this is in the wrong community area - I was unsure where it belongs.
    This is an intermittent issue, but does happen several times a day.
    Regardless of what method is used to launch Acrobat (double-clicking a PDF, clicking the shortcut in the taskbar, selecting Acrobat from the start menu), often the application won't launch. Upon investigation, task manager shows multiple instances of Acrobat.exe, although the application is not running (see the image below). Ending all Acrobat.exe processes does allow Acrobat to launch.
    Any thoughts as to what might be causing this, as well as a more permanent fix? The workaround of constantly ending multiple processes is becoming cumbersome.
    We are running Acrobat X Pro in Windows 7. I also have several CC 2014 apps installed (as well as a couple of earlier versions required for plugin functionality).

    This happens all the time in my company with several installs of Acrobat.
    The only way to fix this for us is to end each process in Task Manager as you have pointed out.
    It is very time consuming in our workflow as we each operator deals with hundreds of PDFs daily, and has to do this End Process procedure several times a day.
    We have done several tests and nothing seems to stop this from happening.

  • Explorer.exe hangs on resolution changes

    I seem to have to have a very persistant, very reproducable and very annoying problem with explorer.exe just completely "hanging" frequently. This started happening near the end of November, about a month after I used Windows 7 (professional x64) with no problems. To make a long story short, it happens nearly any time my display changes (resolution or anything else).
    Here's a more detailed description:
    Before late November, everything worked perfectly. I don't recall what could have caused the change. I uninstalled anything I installed during or after November. I do not have anything visible on my desktop. However, any time the resolution changes, explorer.exe hangs using 50% of my cpu, or 100% of one core. Clicking on the taskbar or desktop lets me know that "Explorer.exe has stopped responding", allowing me to restart it, which I occasionally also choose to do via Process Explorer. At first, I only noticed during or after playing games, but now I have tested this thoroughly and determined that it is in fact most likely a display problem, concluded from the following pretty exhaustive list:
    Unplugging my external monitor causes explorer.exe to hang.
    Plugging in my external monitor also does.
    Changing resolutions on either monitor, to any resolution, causes explorer.exe to hang.
    Changing resolutions on the internal monitor while the external monitor is unplugged also causes a hang.
    Uninstalling the ATI display drivers causes a hang.
    Changing resolutions with the default Windows display drivers between 800x600 and 1024x768 (the only two options) causes a hang. (Uninstalled and followed with Driver Sweeper so no trace of the ATI display drivers are available and the display is running purely on Windows defaults.)
    Installing updated ATI drivers causes a hang directly after the resolution is changed automatically.
    Unchecking all options in the "Perfermance Options" causes explorer.exe to hang.
    Unchecking all options but leaving visual styles on does not result in a hang (if it was on to start with).
    Turning off visual styles causes the display to blink briefly before displaying the "Please wait" box and, when it is finished and the desktop is displayed again, explorer.exe has been hanging approximately since the display blink.
    Running games that cause the resolution to change usually cause explorer.exe to hang, but not always. This is particularly odd. Opening the simple game Torchlight in full screen at 1280x800, does not pose a problem; however, Alt-Tabbing out of it causes the hang as well as closing it, which both revert the resolution to the desktop resolution (1920x1200). Running the game in a window is no problem. Running the game in full screen at 1920x1200 is also no problem, regardless of starting, using Alt-Tab or closing, even though the display blinks for a moment. Team Fortress 2 consistently causes explorer to hang when launching (hanging TF2 as well, until explorer has been killed). All goes well while TF2 is running, even with explorer restarted. When TF2 is closed, explorer hangs again. Thus, it always causes explorer to hang, whether opening or closing. In windowed mode, it causes no problems. I can give examples of a number of more games if it helps pinpoint the problem.
    The event viewer shows no errors or warnings after a hang (except for the standard ones that are generated if the "Explorer.exe has stopped responding" dialog shows up by clicking on the taskbar or desktop. If it is killed manually before showing the dialog, nothing shows up.) It does log some information specific to ATI functions in the ACEEventLogSource which seem to be specific to an explorer freeze. No information was generated when Torchlight changed resolutions without a resulting hang but the following was generated upon closing, with an explorer hang:

    Disabling all non-Microsoft Shell extensions (with ShellExView x64) didn't help.
    As of writing, I have the feeling it didn't happen in safe-mode but I would need to retest this to make sure.
    A clean boot yields no improvement. Changing the resolution following a clean boot still results in a hang.
    Using Process Explorer, I have also checked all non-Microsoft DLL's running in conjunction with Exlporer.exe and these were only db's (some related to BitTorrent), a Comodo antivirus DLL and a bunch of Broadcom Widcomm Bluetooth files. Thus, I uninstalled all of those including the bluetooth software and drivers, unfortunately, to no avail. Changing resolutions still crashes Explorer!
    My system is as follows:
    ASUS M51Va Notebook
    Windows 7 Professional x64
    ATI Radeon HD 3650
    Catalyst Version 09.12
    DirectX Version 11
    Direct3D Version 8.14.10.0716
    OpenGL Version 6.14.10.9232
    Internal monitor Generic PnP Monitor at 1200x800 32bit 61Hz
    External monitor Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW/2433GW, SyncMaster Magic at 1920x1200 32bit 59Hz connected by an HDMI to DVI-D cable
    Anti-virus is Comodo
    If any more information is needed I'll gladly provide it! This is truly a very aggrivating problem. Particularly when gaming or hooking up displays for presentations etc. I really can't think of any thing else that could be meddling with Explorer, causing it to crash. I would love to find the source of the problem, but I'm prepared to finally bite the bullet and reinstall Windows to get rid of this extremely annoying problem. Help would really be appreciated.
    If I figure anything out, I'll post the results.

  • Problem closing iTunes - iTunes.exe hanging.

    I have been having a problem restarting iTunes EXCEPT on a reboot or by manually ending the iTunes.exe process. iTunes.exe is hanging.....it is not using any CPU, but memory usage reduces to about 95,000k, and, of course, I have to end the process before I can restart iTunes.
    I finally figured out that this problem occurs only when I have been streaming music through Apple Express. In other words, Apple Express is preventing iTunes from closing.

    I experimented around and reformated, and began reinstalling programs one by one as a test, starting first with iTunes. It worked just fine. Low and behold, the next program I installed was my antivirus/spyware program. It recreated the problem I had been having for the last year or so. I tried putting exceptions in the application configuration, but that didn't make any difference. Surprisingly, even stopping/disabling the program didn't work either. Completely uninstalling the program did - meaning there were conflicts between the installed components of the Antivirus/spyware program and the iTunes/Airport Express. Now I've got to go find another spyware/antivirus program. But, the question remains, why should a antivirus/spyware program, disabled at that, ie, stopped, cause iTunes to hang after streaming music through Airport Express??? Strange.

  • FlexUnit 4.1 RC1 - adl.exe hangs and is not killed when timeout exceeded

    I am running AIR based tests using FlexUnit 4.1 RC1.
    I have the "timeout" parameter of the FlexUnit Ant task set to 45 minutes (2700000 milliseconds).  I expect that if this threshold is exceeded, the runner should be killed and the ant task will exit. I am not seeing this behavior.  The adl.exe task continues to run, even though the timeout has been exceeded.
    Is this a known issue?
    Thanks,
    Trevor

    Brian,
    Thanks!
    Ah... OK, I was thinking the timeout was more like the JUnit ant task timeout when running in forked mode, i.e.the entire test run has that amount of time to complete (see http://ant.apache.org/manual/Tasks/junit.html). I know I was making an assumption there, but it seemed logical to me since the Flexunit test runner is essentially a forked process...
    So, you are saying that the timeout in the FU 4.1 ant task specifies the time to wait for a connection from the SWF running in the player?  I see this stated in the Ant task doc on the wiki now - Doh!  You also say that the timeout also applies to each individual test?  So, it sounds like the behavior is similar to the JUnit ant task running in "perTest" forkmode.
    Out of curiosity, is there any way to specify an overall timeout for the entire test suite run, by chance?
    Anyway, I figured out why adl.exe was hanging.  Evidently an error occurred in the tests which caused a pop-up window to be spawned, and this halted test execution. When I clicked "Dismiss All", the execution continued.  Of course, in a CI environment, there is no one there to click the button to dismiss the pop-up!   So this is kind of a show-stopper. Is there any way to configure the player (Flash or AIR) to suppress pop-ups, or at least not to stop execution when they occur?
    Thanks,
    Trevor

  • AcroRd32.exe process on Application Server Hanging Up

    I run a print job in a reporting system that utilizes Adobe Reader 9.5 for Windows Server 2008. When the job runs, the AcroRd32.exe process hangs up, which prevents me from running anymore print jobs. I cannot end the process via Windows Task Manager, or even a force kill from cmd. I've had this issue for a while and I'm at a loss. I do notice that there is a adobe reader file that is under my common files (created from my print job) that I cannot delete because it says the file is open . I believe this is why the process is hanging up. It's weird because I can't even delete or close it from the server's 'Share and Store Management' because it doesn't show open.
    Can anyone help me?
    Does Adobe have any tech line I can call to debug? I'll pay.

    The first thing I would try is to update to 9.5.5, or 10.1.8, or 11.0.4

  • Flexunit ant task on CI Server - rundll32.exe causing problems

    My team is using flexunit and a CI server running Hudson. On a development system, everything runs fine, and we get the reports just like we need them. It also works fine on the CI server when just the flexunit task is run, but the build fails when the CI server tries to run a full build - the build tries to run the tests and clean to prepare for the next build, but the clean fails because there is a "rundll32.exe" process using one of the files and it can't be deleted. We tracked this process down to the one run by the flexunit task.
    Our task is:
        <target name="xci-test" depends="set-flex-coverage-home, prepare-domain-metadata-to-war, prepare-sounds-to-war, prepare-domain-metadata-for-testing, compile-unit-test-flex">
            <echo>**** The flexunit target requires that you have the standalone flash player installed and configured to run .swf files automatically! ****</echo>
            <mkdir dir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}"/>
        <!-- Execute TestRunner.swf as FlexUnit tests and publish reports -->
        <!-- Please see http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Ant_Task -->
        <flexunit workingDir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}"
                  swf="${dir.flexgui.build.war}/${flex.swf.name}test.swf"
                  toDir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}"
                  haltonfailure="false" verbose="true" localTrusted="true"
                                port="11028" timeout="40000"/>
            <!-- Generate readable JUnit-style reports -->
            <junitreport todir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}">
                <fileset dir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}">
                    <include name="TEST-*.xml"/>
                </fileset>
                <report format="frames" todir="${dir.flexgui.test.output}/"/>
            </junitreport>
            <sleep seconds="10"/>
        </target>
    I can reproduce this behavior on my dev machine by running "ant xci-test clean". We tried putting a sleep in to give the process time to shut down, no change. We attempted to use the 'command' option to the flexunit task to bypass the use of rundll32.exe, but then the flash player just hangs onto the file and the clean still fails. Since "ant xci-test" followed by "ant clean" works, we also tried running ant from within ant in order to force the process to stop, but that also didn't work. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for your time,
    Linden

    @Linden - Have not heard of this side effect from anyone as of yet, but good to know.  Sounds like the file lock is coming from the Flash Player and causing the spawning process (rundll32.exe) to hang around as well.  The FlexUnit team runs on Hudson using the FlexUnit Ant task, but we don't seem to encounter the same issue.  What's the longest interval you've tried to use with the sleep task?  Does the FP ever release its handle to the test SWF on your development machines?
    Not sure this is a problem with the FlexUnit Ant task, but in 4.2 we could try to explicitly kill the rundll32 process since we'll have the PID when the task launches it.  Head on over to JIRA and file a feature request for us and I'll see what I can do in the new year.  In the short term though, maybe try upgrading your version of the stand alone debug flash player to see if that helps.  Has anyone else seen this issue?  Could you possible just move the clean target to be called before the xci-test target is run?  Just some suggestions.

  • MDT 2012 - Restarting after DISM.exe applies Unattended.xmlfile

    Hi All,
    I ran into an interesting issue last week, I have a custom .WIM file that I created for my acct dept, has some software on it that other departments don't need. Its fully patched (or was as of last week) I captured the image without incident, imported into
    MDT created, deployment task sequence. Etc. What is happening is the process is getting to the last part of applying my image, gets to APplying Unatended.xml file using DISM.exe and hangs there for about 5 mins. Then the computer restarts and it takes me to
    the login screen.
    When I first tried to login (thinking it was done) it stats that the administrator account has been locked, I thought well that's odd, so I restarted in safe mode and logged in that way. Once I got to the desktop I noticed that the computer had not been imaged
    at all and still had the previous test image installed on said machine. Thinking it was my task sequence I created a new one but get the same results.
    So I am testing another image (for acct) that was patched 2.17.14 and it works without incident. I checked the logs but see no errors or anything that jumps out at me.
    Thoughts?
    Alex

    Check your DISM.log you can find it on the running to be deployed machine: C:\windows\Logs\DISM
    Check if you don't have any packages imported under the packages node in your MDT environment which causes this issue. Since if you haven't created a selection profile, it may be possible that undesired content is injected at this particular step.
    Good luck!

    I swore I would never use Chrome.
    But right now it is the better browser.
    At least it doesn't grab over 50% of my CPU out of the blue for no reason.

  • Is there an ant task on FlexUnit to open browser with swf embedded?

    Here is the same (unanswered) question asked by someone else: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/740495?tstart=0#740495
    Basically I need to open my flex app in a browser window from ant, and the FlexUnit task apparently does not support this.
    I have downloaded a sample from FlexMonkey. When they (sample writers) execute flexunit in this sample, one of the arguments to FU is "url". However, I can find no evidence of this version of FU (that uses that "url" argument) existing anywhere. Using the swf argument doesn't work as documented in the previous question above. So I don't know if my problem is Flex version, or it's just not supported by FlexUnit.
    I'm using the Flex sdk 3.2.0 and the FU libraries below:
    flexunit-4.1.0-33-as3_3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-4.1.0-33-flex_3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-cilistener-4.1.0-33-3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-uilistener-4.1.0-33-3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexUnitTasks-4.1.0-33.jar
    Please tell me if this issue has been solved and if so what libraries I need to implement it. If it is done for Flex 4.x, but not for Flex 3.2, perhaps you could guide me to the java source for the ant task for Flex 4.x so that I can implement this for Flex 3.2 or Flex 3.x.
    thanks,
    Phil
