X crash/exit: fullscreen YouTube, run xscreensaver-demo, armagetronad

X immediately crashes and exits whenever I try fullscreening a YouTube video, running xscreensaver-demo or the game armagetronad.
Hardware:
Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) 845G
Driver:
xf86-video-intel-2.12.0-1
Could someone help me troubleshoot?

The thing is, my computer is a Dell Dimension 2400 with a Pentium4 2.66GHz and 1278724 kB of RAM. I have a triple boot set up with XP, Archlinux and Ubuntu Lucid on it and I have no problems running YouTube in fullscreen or running xscreensaver-demo or playing Armagetronad in Ubuntu and have no problems in XP either, so it's definitely not a hardware issue.
Here is an excerpt of Xorg messages every time I xinit.

Dual Monitor Exiting Fullscreen!

I have tried really hard to find a solution to this, but latest news is from 2010?!
I use 2 screens, I have 2 screens!
And most often the main thing I am doing is only needing 1 screen, so the other one is perfect for watching a movie, watching youtube, watching streams.
But 2 days ago, something that makes me wanna gnaw my face off started to happen.
So
1. I go fullscreen on my secondary
2. I click anywhere on my main screen
3. This is leading to secondary fullscreen is exiting <,<
Please help me, I have tried the solutions from 2010 but obviously those ask you to mod outdated versions of Flash Player.
PS. This allso happens if I AltTab, so anything that makes the fullscreen not being the top window will make it exit fullscreen. Please help!

I finally solved it, it was in fact Google Chromes fault, no idea why.
There was no setting, that I chould find. But by reseting it all fullscreen started working like it should

Crashed when watching youtube in Firefox

clean install Yosemite on mid 2014 MacBook Retina 15" first time in my life it crashes while watching YouTube - shutted down and restarted.

Firefox is known to be incompatible with some graphics card driver software; it's a moving target due to driver updates...
Other than rolling forward or rolling back the drivers and finding a compatible fit, the best workaround is to disable Firefox's use of hardware acceleration.
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This will take effect after you exit and restart Firefox.

Any video causes my laptop to lock up (DVD, Netflix, Slingbox, YouTube running in IE, FF or Chrome)

I am running a G62 Notebook that is about 3 years old.
I have been using it to stream Slingbox and Netflix for the past 3 years on Chrome
About 1 month ago, Slingbox started to lock up. I tried Netflix and experienced the same issue. The video would stop, but audio would continue for a few seconds before it would start to drop out. The computer would be excessively slow to respond to any input (mouse, keyboard, etc), if I shut the video app down, the computer would recover after a few minutes.
At the same time I noticed the behaviour for full-screen had changed: previously I could switch between full screen and regular screen by double clicking on the video. Now I have to click the fullscreen button, and I get a message to hit escape to exit fullscreen.
My first step was to check for virus and malware; I ran Webroot, AdAware, MS Malicious SW removal & Malware bytes. I found minor issues, mainly with adware and cleaned them up - No Change
I removed all unused applications and verifed nothing extra running in Task manager - No Change
I tried to run NF and SB in Firefox and IE and experienced the same issue.
I tried to unistall and reinstall the plug-ins with no improvement
I tried a You tube video - same issue
I tried to watch a DVD using AVC player, the same issue occured (NOT STREAMING)
Computer runs fine otherwise, and will recover if I can stop the video.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion g62 Notebook and issue with the Videos playing on Windows 7. First, try the automated fixit from Microsoft.
I would try to uninstall the program that you are using to watch the Videos, AVC player. The Notebook has software for Videos that was made for in Windows 7 and your version of Notebook. Here is a link to download Cyberlink MediaSuite Software. This software is for your system.
Make sure all your Windows updates have been completed.

MozCancelFullScreen() not working and firefox not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document

I have a container which gets into full screen mode using mozRequestFullScreen() API but I want to get back to non-fullscreen mode after one of my custom event is fired.
As soon as my custom event is fired, I call mozCancelFullScreen() API to exit full screen but this seems to be not working. Firefox is not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document.
I have to press "Esc" to get into non-fullscreen mode.
I am uding Firefox 21.0 version.

IPhone iOS 7 - Video app crashes/exits

Hi, on an IPhone 5S, running iOS 7.0.2, my 'Videos' app crashes and exits when I delete a movie. When I go back into the app the video has indeed deleted but the crash/exit is a hassle. Any fix for this at all? Thanks!

The figures you mention only make sense on your intranet. Are you still using the same wireless router. The verizon one is somewhat limited as far as max wireless-n performace. For one thing it only has a 2.4 radio. I like many people who wanted wireless-n performance before they even added a wireless-n gigabit router, have my own handling my wireless-n network.

Weird behavior exiting fullscreen from IE need help

I have been making a cylindrical panorama with flash and away3d. I set up a fullscreen button that allows user to enter fullscreen and exit it. This works great in firebox and opera, but when I exit fullscreen from Internet explorer the flash document is displayed at a 45 degree angle. I am doing this project in as3 and flash cs5. If anyone has any Idea what might be causing this I would really appreciate it. Is there a way to redraw or reload the flash document?

How to Run Reports Demo on IAS Rel.2

I have successfully installed 9ias Release 2, infrastructure and Business Intelligence and Forms on one Solaris server. I am now trying to run the demos. Forms demo runs fine, but the Reports Demo is confusing. I am presented with a screen that says test a paper report. That takes me to another page with fields to fill in - things like reports server, userid/password, report name.....I leave all the defaults as is, and am then presented with a single sign on page. I don't know what to put in there....
Any help would be appreciated.

The "new" Reports (Oracle9i Reports or Reports 9i or whatever it is supposed to be called) seems to use a security model quite different from Developer Server/Reports 6i. At least as per default configuration. I'm not familiar with it (yet, but since we are in the process of migrating I'd guess I soon will be), but Reports seems to use/rely on Portal for user authentication mechanism.
In the Reports servlet configuration you could set SINGLESIGNON=no, then Reports Server will use its own authentication "old-style". (Two-level authentication was possible by adding "dbauth" login for reports access)

According to "OEM integration" features, you should be able to configure Reports server via the OEM "framework".

We recently (yesterday) upgraded our Adobe apps to CC versions. InDesign, Photoshop and Bridge all run perfectly. Illustrator crashes at startup. Tried launching it from Administrator account and it crashes. I have disabled fonts except the bare minimum, no success. If it would launch, then I might be able to narrow it down to an incompatible print driver, but it has to actually be running first. We use no third party plugins with it, so I doubt that is the issue.

I'm a newbee in the Mapviewer forum and unfortunately I've a problem with running the mvdemo demos. I've ofc dployed mapviewer in the OC4J, imported the dmp file into scott schema, configured the mapviewer data source...but everytime I'd like to run a demo i receive the unpleasant warning = "No base map MV_DEMO.DEMO_MAP found...". I don't really know where to seek for the solution, because the Mapbuilder is able to see these Base Map ;/ Please help...

Similar problem here. I'm running: Windoze Server 2003 , Ver1033p5_B080908, OAS 10.1.3.1. The sever is a static IP. My admin console can't see my cached maps. I can see them in mapbuilder fine so I know the database is up. I know the user_sdo_cached_maps is configured, the data is there and the schema is set up. I have the datasource configured in my mapViewerConfig.xml and I have tried to manually create a datasource.
When I do it manually I get ...
...so I log in to OAS and do a good faith restart of mapviewer so I can test it one more time and fill in the error message, which was MAPVIEWER 0000011 or something, and boom there are my tile layers.
I have no idea what I did. I swear I've restarted mapviewer several times during this process and have no idea why now my tiles are there.
This morning I changed my logging level and did a save & restart option from the mapviewer console but only when I bounced the application server did these finally show up.
One thing that did happen to me during set up was my default tilecache path didn't exist. Perhaps that was the problem? I doubt just turning on loging would "fix" anything. Is restarting the application container for mapserver different than "save & restart" from the mapviewer management console?
Anyhow I'm happy to have tiled maps working :)

I have followed the instructions in the XQL release notes on installation and configuration but I am having a problem running the demos. When I try the http://localhost/xsql/index.html url, I get a garbled page. Looks like the home.xsql/homecontent.xsql pages didn't run sucessfully. Anybody else run into something similar?
fwiw, I have been able to sucessfully run the helloworld.xsql demo on the command line using the xsql executable.

Found the resolution for this problem. I had to add the following two lines in my httpd.conf file -
AddType text/xsql .xsql
AddHandle jserv-servlet .xsql
The demos work just fine after making this change and restartin the Apache server.

I take it a simple webutil form with something like CLIENT_GET_FILE_NAME works ok?
If so, then maybe its worth doing a Ctr Shift K and recompile the demo ad try again.

Error 201 when trying to run the demos !! HELP !!

Hello, we are just trying to run the demos provided in the ZIP file that comes with the XDK version for Solaris 9i and we are having problems apparently with the encoding thing.
I dont really have a clue how to make it run or provide the right encoding parameter. I have attempted to use every single parameter, UTF-8, ISO, ASCII, etc
anyone had this problem at the very beginning?? or know how to solve it?? we r just beginner trying a start jump in XML and all this parser matter.
