X-fi Console launcher - DD and DTS icons g

Hi,
I've got X-fi xtreme music card and recently i noticed that these icons have gone from the lower left corner of the applicaiton.
I tried to play some DTS/DD content from the PS3 but the decoding did not work.
Is it the same for you guys? I have not tested on some other the optical cable yet but that change is the only thing i can think of that could also be the source of the problem.
Thanks for any pointers.

So you waited a whooping 4 hours and you already bump the post. That's not cool.Anyway, if in this time you would have read the features of your product you would found this:The Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card deli'vers THX? certified surround sound and includes Cyberlink [color="#ff3300">PowerDVD software with DTS? and Dolby Digital?-EX decoding via [color="#ff3300">free download for an unbeatable DVD movie watching experience. The help file is generic for all the cards and some of them are supporting DD and DTS decoding in drivers.

When I checked back my post was already at the bottom of the page, and some people may not look that far, so I bumped it to keep it towards the top, that ok with you?
What makes you think I didn't read the features associated with the card? I even stated that in my original post. My question was about the fact that the help file contained those options in it, and even the images on the box for the card had those options showing, and yet I didn't have them. I did not know that the help file was generic to every X-fi card out there.
So thanks for responding even though you tried to take a few shots along the way.

  • Problem X-Fi Xtreme Music and Console Launcher

Hello, (I'm german student, so sorry for my english)
    I re-installed Windows 7 32bit a few days ago.
Now, I already fixed the problem with Console Launcher as a tray icon.
I installed the latest drivers from Creative and Console Launcer from CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_60_29.
But I have the problem that the Console Launcher does not save my settings like bass to 60% or activating X-Fi Crystalizer. So if a change one of these settings and reboot my pc....everything is set back to normal.
    Help would be great.
    Thanks

If no one has an idea, could please someone tell me which drivers he installed to run a X-Fi Xtreme Music on Windows 7 32bit with Console Launcher perfectly.
    Thanks!

  • Creative Console Launcher To Autost

    Hi!
When the new driver was released I did a clean install.
I removed all of the previouse SB installations with Add/Remove.
    Rebooted
    Installed the drivers.
    Rebooted
I then went into the X-FI driver disc and selected only THX setup console and Creative Console (I think that is the correct name of it).
    Rebooted.
Now here?s the "problem" Before I had some other stuff like midi things (dunno the real name) and I didn?t want that anymore.
The Creative Console Launcher autostarted and put itself as a little icon right beside the windows clock. Now it doesn?t.
I don?t want do add it to startup couse then I don?t get the little icon. Instead i will have the full menue.
How can I get that little autostarted Icon back?
Update: The icon appears to be named "X-Fi icon" and can be seen here

  • Creative Console Launcher causing stat

System: 64bit Vista Ultimate, 4gig ram, nVidia 3500, Soundblaster X-FI Fatalty Extreme Gamer Okay, after 4 hours of problems with my initial install posted elswhere, and having a functional restore point once again... I decided to install JUST the Web drivers for my Fatalty andy bypass the CD altogether. I installed the web drivers dated Oct 9th, SBXF_PCDVT_LB_2_5_0002.exe and I got sound working. Great, no hiss, no static, nothing...just good sound. This installed the Creative Audio Console...which although lacked any fancy GUI, (it was a tabbed system window) allowed me to customize the various settings. (only thing missing as I could tell was the Equalizer found in the GUI Launcher) I then installed the Creative Console Launcher CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_40_09.exe (the one with the fancy GUI that makes it look like a mixing board, hi-tech stereo, etc). Once installed and restarted the system, the unbearable constant HISS I've read about came pouring through the speakers right before login...and continued nonstop. I have since rolled back to my system restore before the Console launcher install and all is fine. I'm sharing my observations, in hope that it might help others out with their hiss/static problems. G.

I do not have the Console Launcher installed and I have static. Glad to see that you found a fix to your issue though. Not to mention I run an Intel board and the X-Fi sits on its own IRQ. I have come down to a decision that it is either the driver, faulty hardware, or a memory addressing issue.

  • X-fi Xtrememusic doesn't have the bottoms of DD and DTS in the audio console

    Hellow every body!....
I have a little problem with the Creative X-fi Xtrememusic OEM that I bought...:
) The issue is that when the card is instaled withthe drivers, I notice that the windows detect the sound card as a X-fi audio, and not with the name of x-fi xtreme music.... this is normal? all the x-fi are detected as a x-fi audio?... Because this card that I have, is the xtrememusic sure.... because the audio is blue and its diferent like the sound card that I have...
    2) Thats is the light problem.... Now the heavy xD: After installed the sound card I notice that in the audio console there is NO bottoms of the options "DD and DTS"... this sections are missing...
I try to uninstall the cd drivers... download the last drivers of this page... and when the last drivers are installed... there is no audio console and nothing.... only the driver and a old audio console... (not the with moder audio console that shows up in the current x-fi)
    - Know I format my PC and I installed all again.... and the same problems shows up...
I have the windows xp ue v7....
Any how can help me? I don't know what to do... I try anything and nothing works...

when did you purchase this xtrememusic? if I don't remember wrongly.... the newer refresh doesn't have dd and dts decoding anymore and have to use the included powerdvd to do it. only the older refresh of xtrememusic include dd/dts decoding via creative driver. furthermore yours is an oem version....it may also have different function/feature. you can try searching the CD and see if there is any folder by the name of "PDVD" or something?with?"dvd",?can't?really?remember?the?ex act?name... if?the?CD?you?have?have?this?folder,?then?you?won' t?have?the?ddd/dts?function?in?the?audio?console.

My guess is that you won't be able to do much if you threw away the serial number before using it.  The serial number will not have been externally visible on the box though... doing that would make it available for use by anyone who sees the box in any store.
    To locate the serial number:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html
If you remain unable to locate the serial number you might need to head back to wherever you purchased the product to confirm whether or not you might have thrown out the serial number or if it could even possibly have never been provided.
Beyond that you need to resolve serial number issues with ASdobe Support directly.  Here is a link for chat:

  • Problem with console launcher and Titanium Champion Series

Hi all. I've recently got a X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champion Series, it's running on XP. As you know with the original drivers the I/O front panel didn?t work on XP, so I updated to the latest version 2.7.8. The problem is that now the I/O front panel seems to work, but the console launcher has been updated too to the 2.6.1.45 version and it's not working properly, when previously it was. I?ve detected two problems:
    1) You can enable the equalizer on any mode but the list of presets (rock, pop, jazz...) don?t appear
    2) The console launcher crashes in the very moment you click on the Mixer thumb index, at least in Game mode, appearing an error message
I would thank any help. Bye.

Well, given I've still not received an answer, I think this may help somebody with the same problem.
I decided to install the Console Launcher 2.6.1.49 (beta) and it's working perfect so far, the two problems I told about have been fixed.
Another problem I had with the latest official drivers was that the volume panel wasn't shown at the taskbar. I simply fixed it by installing the original volume panel you can find in the installation CD.
    Bye.

  • DDL and DTS Pack

Hello all, relati'vely new to this forum and I have a question about the above product.
I purchased the pack a couple of days ago and all went as it should, installed, played, etc.
Had DDL and DTS available from the start.

I have installed again, re-activated and still no joy.
Vistax64, extreme gamer, Daniel K . support pack.
I hope someone can provide some guidance, this has become quite frustrating.
    Thanks...
    ...Solved!
Went to registry and removed license activation, installed DDL and DTS, activated again and all is well.

  • Console launcher for 7

    Quote : ?CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_6_09.exe?
This download contains the Creative Console Launcher application for use with your Sound Blaster? X-Fi? series of audio devices on Microsoft? Windows Vista? and Windows? XP. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.
The Question is : I want to install Windows 7 on my computer. Is This version of console launcher working on 7?

I have used Console Launcher under Vista and Windows 7 with no problems. I used to use the Daniel K. package, but now I am running stock software.
The launcher showed up after using Windows Update. Windows Update installed a Microsoft Certified driver on my system, and then I used AutoUpdate. It found the Console Launcher, etc. They installed fine. The two things that did not install quite as easily were the Dolby and DTS Connect packs. For those, they gave an error message. I simply right clicked those and chose properties and then administrator and VISTA SP. No problems whatsoever.
The only problem I have is, if you leave DOLBY OR DTS enabled in the tray icon, your system will hang at shutdown.

  • X-Fi Audio Console Launcher not in system t

Since my new install of Windows, I can't get the Console Launcher for my X-Fi Elite Pro in the system tray anymore. On my previous install it was there from first install, even after updating the software and drivers, but now it seems to have dissapeared. I'm really disappointed as this (for me) by far the easiest way to change mode and/or entering the console for settings editing. I tried to update the drivers, but no luck... it's still not back. It seems like a fairly easy problem to fix, but I can't find any option to check/uncheck system tray icon availability. Can anyone help me out on this one? How can I get the system tray icon back in the system tray? Thanks in advance!?By the way, I'm running Windows XP Pro UK with the latest X-Fi Elite Pro?drivers and onboard HD Audio disabled in the BIOS. Software of HD Audio is also removed.

Mine hasn't been resetting....so far. I know mines a Fatalty but sw wise it should be same for all the cards. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with option for syncing with control panel. I have that option unchecked in the creative mixer speakers tab. Maybe try disabling it if its currently enabled and see if that stops the resetting. No idea if it will help but thats the only thing I can think of, can't hurt to at least give it a shot.
    Hope it helps

  • Problem With Console Launcher

    | A buddy of mine has the Titanium Fatality Champion and updated to all the latest drivers and stuff... but now his console launcher is not in the task bar AND on top of that... its a garbage looking one with little tabs and not the nicer GUI one. how can he get the nice GUI one and task bar icon back? If anyone could post a step by step I would very much appreciate it.

! The garbage looking one with little tabs is called Creative Audio Control Panel while Console Launcher a separate program and download with the nice gui you speak of.
Either way remove control panel and/or console launcherby using add/remove programs in windows and download the latest version of console launcher from creative support site. You should be able to find it by clicking support for your card and check the available downloads.

  • Cant get DTS Connect to show when I install the DD Live and DTS connect pack

    Whats up with this?
I bought the DD Li've and DTS Connect Pack yesterday. After installing and restarting machine I go into the Creative Console Launcher and I can only see DD Li've available and not DTS Connect. My receiver send out and supports DTS fine as I been using it all the time with DTS supported video files. The only way I can get DTS now is if I disable DD Li've so it picks up the signal. I'm using Win XP Pro.
This is what it is showing.

Exactly the same problem for me.
I have a SB X-Fi Titanium Fatalty pro Series PCI express withe the latest drivers? http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index....3&v_code=24368, with vista 64 bits SP.
I also installed the 2 plugins DDL 3.00.00 and DTS connect .03.00 but i don't have the DTS choice as you could see on this printscreen ...

  • Console Launcher/THX-Console do not recognise X-FI Titanium

    Hi,
I bought a PCI-E SB X-FI Titanium yesterday. Unfortunatly I have got some major Problems.
First no sound was played, but I managed to fix it. Then I tried to install the Creative Console Launcher & THX. No Chance.
The Installation either won`t recognise that i have got the newest Media Player or it told me that no suitable soundcard is installed (tried different versions), although Windows recognises it as SB X-FI and sound works "fine".... Also my mic isnt working. After a whole day of searching and severals reinstallations of several driver versions I am now using the daniel k drivers .. Console Launcher and THX-Console are installed now, but if I try to start them, it tolds me that it hasnt recognized a suitable soundcard again....Mic also still isnt working, but sound is really fine. (I found a solution for the mic problem, but the console launcher is required...). Right now I'm really pi... off, and considering to send the card back and buy another one, but hopefully someone can help me, because the sound seems great to me.

Thank you for your help in advance and sorry for my bad English.

Here is a _repeat_ of a post I did awhile ago which may be useful to you for making Titanium work and I hope it is of some benefit to you:
[color="#0000ff" size="2">Ok, good news. I was able to install the Titanium again on my Vista 32-bit home premium machine and the mic volume is loud and fine.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">Because of the way that Vista works with hardware you must have at least one time previous to this procedure gone into Control Panel/Performance Information and Tools/and click on link called Update My Score and Vista will run a 2 min hardware test and adjust itself for your hardware.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">Make sure your?microphone is plugged into the soundcard in the appropriate jack during this whole procedure (may or may not make?a difference).
[color="#0000ff" size="2">) Went into BIOS and made sure the onboard audio thing was disabled.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">I believe I also disabled the 394 port (may or may not matter).
[color="#0000ff" size="2">2) Went into Device Mgr and removed 2 of the High Definition Audio Device things in Sound and Game Controllers section and removed 2 of the High Definition Audio Device things in the System Devices sections as well.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">If you see the Soundblaster listed there too then right click it and uninstall it from there at this time.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">3) I rebooted then checked Device Mgr and it had put the High Definition Audio Device things back. I did not disable them or uninstall them this time.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">4) Using Windows Explorer I searched for and deleted any Soundblaster Drivers I could find from my system.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">5) I cleared out all of the files in my Recycle Bin.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">6) I went to www.soundblaster.com[color="#0000ff" size="2"> and downloaded the latest beta driver that ends with 2_7_0006.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">7) I extracted the drivers to a new folder I created on my C dri've. I named the folder SBFix.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">8) I made sure my antivirus program was all disabled and not protecting me.
    [color="#0000ff" size="2">9) I went into?SBFix folder and double-clicked the Setup Application.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">0) It came to a menu that offered me the option to install the driver or uninstall all drivers. I selected the option to uninstall all drivers. It looked like it found some and was uninstalling them. If it asked to me to reboot I did so but I don't remember if it did or not.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">) Next I found that Setup Application again and this time I told it to install the driver. I did not select the option to overwrite any files if it found them.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">2) It installed them then wanted to reboot and I did and then I right-clicked the little speaker icon in the bottom right of my tray and click recording devices and I took a look and it looked like the soundblaster things were there. The Microphone FP and Line in were there but not the Microphone because one has to use the Creative Console Launcher to make the Microphone selection possible and I did not have that installed yet.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">3) I went back to www.soundblaster.com[color="#0000ff" size="2"> and downloaded the appropriate Creative Console Launcher and ran it.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">4) I rebooted then opened the Creative Console Launcher, went into the Settings button to make the selection for microphone.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">5) I ran the Setup Microphone wizard thingy in Windows and I could see that the volume levels were high.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">6) In the end there is no place you can do a checkbox for +20db boost however it is that loud anyway as if a +20db boost option had already been selected. After you've done the Setup Microphone test locate the mic volume slider and slide it all the way to the right again because the Setup Microphone test will have automatically moved the slider toward the left during the test.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">My system has the ASUS Rampage II Extreme x58 chipset motherboard. Intel chipset.
[color="#0000ff" size="2">Not an NVidia chipset motherboard. Somewhere I had seen somewhere on the Creative support pages that some motherboards only allow video cards to be in the PCI-e slots. I believe the NVidia chipset motherboards may be this type. This is the 2nd Intel chipset motherboard that I've been able to install the Titanium on and get proper loud mic volume. The other motherboard I got it to work fine on was an ASUS Maximus Extreme that had the x38 Express chipset.
