X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS, I wanto to connet it to my DENON Amplifier, HELP NEED

Can anyone tell me how to connect X-Fi FPS to my Denon DolbyD/DTS amplifier? I would like to use my ampli with B&W 6. surround system but I do not like to connect it by the optical cable using the front optical connector. I know it could be possible to use the FLEXI JACK on the back of the sound card (I now use it as a mic connector) but I suppose creative should provide me a special cable...
Any help or suggestion? where is it possible to buy the required cable?

browsing the user manual I found it's necessary a MONOTO 3,5 mm RCA CABLE (sold separately). I think I could do this cable on my own using a coaxial cable and a mini jack. Anyone already tried?
Update: don't mind, I just ordered the I/O Digital Module from creative shop.

I have had a replacement soundcard sent to me which Creative diagnostics says is an X-fi Fatalty ExtremeGamer Pro with a Model number SB0460 and serial number MASB046654900897C . The origional soundcard that I sent for a replacement was a soundblaster X-Fi Fatalty FPS soundcard with a model number SB0466 with a serial number MASB046654800429F.
Creative Labs returns department?advises me that the replacment soundcard is the same as the one I returned because the serial numbers both start MASB0466, however Wikipedia advises that the model number for the replacement is incorrect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creativ..._Model_Numbers. Does this seem correct? Does the model number mean nothing and the serial number advise the type of soundcard I have? SB X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS and Win 7 64bit

Hi guys! ?I need some help,
I've just picked up an old Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatalty FPS from a friend, and I cant get it to work under Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Last driver doesnt work, and i'm seraching everywhere in the net but i can only find other peoples with the same problems - and no solution.
Is there a way to use this board or is better to use it as a freesbee?
Here is my config:
Mainboard ASUS Maximus III Formula (LGA 56 + P55 chipset)
CPU Intel Core i7-860

hey trikat, i did some further research on this forum...and it seems like you need to download this program to FORCE the drivers to stay with the line 2 mic 2 jack (aka front mic plug)
I went into audio properties...and I noticed that by default, my line 2 mic 2 was not "selected" so thats why windows never picks it up....all I did was select it...then went to sound recorder to test my voice...windows picks it up now...problem is, everytime I join a game or whatever, it keeps switching it back to default mic instead of line 2 mic 2... I guess you need to download that program
right now I just have my headphones connected directly to the sound card...and my 2. speakers connected to the front panel...this is just a temporary fix.. I wanna do more research on this subject

Problems with X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS Soundc

At thirst i wanna excuse my bad english.
Now to my problem: I've bought that soundcard on friday, and i've a 2. SoundSystem and a Headset, i've connected the 2. System on the back of my Computer (on the Soundcard), and the Headset on the frontlabel from this Soundcard. So they worked together @ same time. But today i played with my Headset, and everything was ok, but from a second to the other, i didn't hear anything, and i couldn't talk in Teamspeak, cuz the mikrophone wont work too.
I've tried to connect the headset on the Soundcard, and it works!
I've uninstalled the whole Creative software too on my computer, and re-installed it, but the frontlabel don't works.
Can i fix that problem? Or may i have to use my warranty of that card?
I've to fix some things yet: As the problem started, that i didn't hear anything, i've watched the settings of the soundsoftware, and some settings were not avaible longer...like "Line-In 2 /Mik" , which i used for my microphone, after re-install these options wasn't avaible too.
To the re-install: I always used the full-installation, but as i re-installed i couldn't install the "entertainment center", the installation stopped there at 27% ...no error, no failure in Task-Manager..
I've tried to start with the remote maintenance the Multimedia-Software from creative, but it wont start.
Do i really have to change the soundcard with a new one?

since I never had this problem with installing this software, I cant really tell whats wrong, but you dont need it anyway to use the x-fi.
but you may want to try one thing, since it crashes at 27% something may still be in use, so check your task manager and close everything that has CT in its name. then try reinstalling again. If that still doesnt work, try to empty your temp folder, its located in documents and settings/user you are/local settings/temp
if that still doesnt work, try maybe something stupid, wait a bit longer than usual and keep the install window in the front to watch the process, maybe your pc is just a bit slowed down by other software so it may take longer than normal

hello. i have been having major problems with my Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatalty soundcard.i have had it since march 2007 and was fine for a couple of months, very pleased with it.?but it has now got to the stage where it will not boot my pc if the card is installed.i have done my best to see it working again. but one moment it will work.?next moment i will turn my pc on. the pc will not post/boot so i have to take the soundcard out in order for the pc to actually boot into windows. i have sent in a RMA request from ebuyer.?but im quite sad that the card is very poorly designed via the pins on the back that connects to the internal dri've bay addon. i believe that the pins are causing the card to not boot the pc. as its very easy for the pins to get bent.?i would love to know if anyone else had or is having a simular problem with this card?i have been looking for a replacement now. and after searching for awhile it would seem they released a Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7. Sound Card but after checking the card it looks like they still have the poorly designed pins on the back of the card again... [color="#ff0000"]should i wait for a upgrade... card was faulty ordered a new one while i wait for my RMA. and the new card works fine. soon as i installed perfect.so indeed was a faulty card. and to the question did i install the card properlly... of course i did. otherwise i wouldnt have asked here. anyway. all fixed so far... but problems with my new headset now and the soundcard.

Urgent HELP Needed Compressing 24 fps file to DVD m2v

I am working in a project where all the source footage is 24fps film (in 720x486 uncompressed 8 bit QT files). I have edited the footage in FCP6 with the sequence at matching settings to the source footage. Every thing good so far.
I then export out a reference file of the final edit. Review the ref file and all is beautiful.
The problem occurs with I use compressor to convert the 24 fps to m2v. I use one of Apples default settings (DVD Best Quality 90 Minutes), drop the setting on the clip in the asset window and verify the settings, which in the summary show frame rate of 23.976. OK. Submit.
When the compression is complete, and I bring the new asset into DVDSP, the rate now shows 29.97 (open in QT confirms), and the clip stutters in play back.... i.e. dup frame every 5 frames. On the second try, I don't get dup frames, but I actually got frames dropped every few seconds. i.e. frame advance in DVDSP and the video would skip a frame. The later is extremely noticeable on panning shots.
Can any one give me some advice on how to keep the video smooth and consistent with the original footage?
Any help or suggestions would be EXTREMELY appreciated as this project HAS to go to press tomorrow.

OK, After a very long night with no end near, I figured out the drop frames are the result of feeding 24fps into Compressor instead of 23.98.
I took the footage conformed the clips to 23.98 and that particular problem was resolved....
However, conforming introduced a whole new problem: When I conform the clips, 2 black frames are introduced at EXACTLY frame 7900. I have 4 tracks of similar footage, with different language tracks. There are English, French, Spanish and German sequences. The German track is edit differently than the other 3 due to very different timing in the translation. The other three are virtually identical to the point where the black frames are introduced.
That being said, ALL 4 tracks have the black frames appear at frame 7900 regardless of the video content.
These are NTSC (720x480 24 fps with uncompressed 8 bit video).
Oddly enough, if I drop the NTSC sequence onto a PAL 24fps uncompress 8 bit sequence, the black frames do not seem to appear after the PAL tracks are conformed to 25 fps. I have not found any anyway....
Any thoughts on why I am getting this problem?
As a result, we have had to postpone the glass mastering, and needless to say, the producer is not at all pleased...

I brought that headset from newegg.com on 10/05/2009. 1 month after that the mic stop working, I thought it's okay since my primary use only for (listening) gaming. I have the same issue finding serial number Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset. It was a Christmas (2009) present to my son and the sound has stopped working completely in the headset. The microphone seems to still function. I cannot register the headset for a warranty evaluation.

If you start, as you already have, with the newest driver, things just dont work quite right in my opinion.

i encounter 2 problems which i desperately need help with cause creative isnt giving me a satisfied answer
Firstly,?i cant update to the latest driver.
if i update...everytime i try to press any of the buttons(Game mode, x-fi?CMSS 3D, x-fi crystalizer) on the I/O front panel console.
i seem to lose control of I/O front panel console. i cant control the Main volume,Mic volume or any of my 3 modes using my I/O front panel console,?i can only change them through creative console launcher
secondly,
everytime i try change my recording device to "microphone FP". it keeps jumping back to "microphone" which apparently is the port on the sound card itself.
its kinda stupid to use the mic port on the sound card rather than the I/O front panel port being i paid such a high price for it mainly because of its specs but partially cause it has a I/O front panel.
someone please help me with this problem cause creative technical support hasnt been able to solve my problem

Export quicktime at 27,97 fps impossible

From FCP 7, I cannot export a quicktime conversion at 29,97 fps. even when I select it, it changes the frame rate to 29. not 29,97. I have QT X and QT 7 pro.
my Timeline is at 23,98 fps.

Load one of the XD Cam presets. Duplicate it.
Click on Encoder.
Click on the video Settings button.
Select 50 Mb/s from the Compression Settings drop down menu.
You now have a Compressor preset that will provide the required output.

Project and sequence fps lower than 10 in CS4?

Howdy all - wondering if anyone has discovered a way to work with footage that has a frame rate less than 10 fps in premiere pro cs4? it would be tremendously helpful. I'm doing tutorial recording at work and typically the vids are coming in at 8fps. I've gone as far as trying to hand edit the sequence preset XML and have gotten it to display 8fps, but when I select that preset and open premiere pro, it snaps back to 10fps. seems to be a hard coded minimum. It's not a dealbreaker but just doesn't match my footage at all and makes it so it can't natively exist in my sequence without constant rendering of the timeline.
any ideas?

If you follow David Brewer's advice and use the DVD preset you will also need to mux the audio in MPEG Streamclip. Compressor's DVD preset assumes you're going to an authoring program with the out put and gives you elementary streams. You need to use both the audio and video elementary stream presets in the Disc Burning folder in your target. Output them to a destination folder. Make sure the mv and AC3 files have the identical names before the extension. Drag the video file into STreamclip and the audio should accompany it as well. Save as MPEG with MP2 audio and the extension will change to MPEG.
I assume it's an SD file. If so, you might be OK with the quality; but it's a very low rate for broadcast.
