X-fi fatal1ty titanium champion card loves confuse me

5X-fi fatalty titanium champion card loves confuse me READ THE WHOLE THING I KNOW ITS HUGE JUST GET OVER IT IM NOT FIXING IT
Here's the deal. I'm using Win 7 Home premium 64 bit. I've got an X-Fi Fatalty Titanium Champion card (2.7.0007 drivers) and a Fatalty gaming headset. No i'm not a fan I just bought them together. Now, there's a switch on the headphones wire that turns the microphone on or off. Before I go on, know that I've checked and made sure that the playback button for the mic in both windows sound panel and creative console launcher were off. In case anyone isn't familiar with the card, there is a mode switcher that optimizes the engine for different tasks. Whenever I switch modes with the mic plug in the jack, I hear a faint hissing noise. It sounds different on each mode, and it is the laudest on game mode. But when ever I turn the mic on from the switch on the headphones wire, I hear an explosion noise, and a shrieking sound from the headphones. This only happens after I've switched modes at least once. Now, I know what your thinking, "AIDAN YOU IDIOT ITS JUST FEEDBACK OLOLLOLOL", but the mic is detachable from the headset, and IT HAPPENS WHEN IT IS DETACHED. Now, I've tried screwing around with the settings, and there are a few things that stop it... until i change the mode again. But these solutions appear to randomly work, for example, at once unmuting and muting playback made it stop before, but occasionally it doesn't. Even when I can turn the headphones on without recieving hearing damage the mic doesn't record anything. The only way to make sure the "explosion glitch" truly disappear is to unplug my mic and switch the flexijack mode from mic to line in. Please, give me a solution so I can actually switch modes and use my mic without having my headphones scream at me!

0X-Fi Titanium Champion Series I/O Dri've problems? This is my final attempt to resolving this before?I request an RMA. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure out if my I/O dri've on my x-fi titanium Ch. Series is defecti've or it's a?software related problem. I don't get any sound from the headphone or mic jacks on the front dri've using headphones or headsets. The volume knob does?lower or raise in the Console Launcher?when I turn it and?as for the mic volume, I'm not sure. The LED's don't?light up at all, but if I press the Game Mode, CMSS-3D or Crystalizer I see them switching on the Console Launcher. The rear component does work as I can connect my speakers and get sound. I'm running Vista x64 Ult. Sp2 with the latest beta drivers 2.8 from daniel_K's support pack. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times also removed and replugged the device incase of a connection problem. I've searched all over these forums and googled several keywords and can't find a solution. Can anyone point me to the right direction? Is this a common problem with the front dri've? I've read various posts about customer technical support being useless so I'm not even wasting my time with that. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had this exact same problem for a very long time, but after recently taking apart my machine to dust it out and whatnot I decided to have a go at plugging the device in again, and found that in order to plug it in properly for that larger connector you have to push it in really hard for it to go in all the way, to the point where it hurt my finger to do so. But after I did this (I had the card out while doing it, as it seemed impossible to get the connector in all the way otherwise) the lights and ports worked properly.
Hopefully it's this simple for you, but I can imagine it is due to the fact your problem was word for word exactly the same as mine.

  • Sound Blaster Titanium Champion Series

    &?Hello,
I recently bought a Sound Blaster Fatality Titanium Champion series cound (the one with the front panel included).
Sound and everything seems fine. One very annoying issue (not for me but mainly for the other people who are listening to me on Ventrilo) is that they hear a constant "buzzing" noise when I speak. I can't seem to get rid of it.
It was actually worse before as I was able to hear the constant buzzing too. Until I unplugged the mic and audio jack from the back sound card and plugged it into the front panel instead.
I also updated to the latest drivers as far as I can tell.
Any idea on how to fix this?
I am using a Sennheiser PC360 Headset. I don't believe it is the headset's issue, it works fine on my other systems without the constant buzzing.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Eljher,
Sorry about that, Customer Support do not monitor these boards. Please write to them here.

  • X-Fi Titanium Fatalitysound card optical in problems

4X-Fi Titanium Fatalitysound card optical in problemsF Ok so heres my problem. I have ?a Sony PS3 and it can output Dolby Digital 5. and DTS 5.. Ive tried both with the sound card decoding each one respectivly and with the Dolby Digital 5., theres no sound atall while playing a game like GT5 which on the box supports that output. Then with DTS the sound is just stereo and with the normal 2. settings it just plays2. as it should. ?Now i know that digital is capable of carrying 5. audio otherwise whats the point in it.. I also know the PS3 can output it. ?What i dont know is why i cant hear anything from my soundcard when it should be able to decode and play out my ****ouge outputs.
Any help would be appreciated even if it doesnt work :P
Also i have tried it with and without CMSS and Crystaliser. Also on all modes, Gaming, Audio creation, Entertainment.

Apparently customer support doesn't bother to read the emails either. Well nevermind.
) The problem of soundquality can allegedly be solved with 'underclocking' the PCIe Slot to 90Mhz. **bleep** pity, that my mainboard doesn't support lower clocks than 00MHz.
    2) At least i fixed the microphone problem. Surforguy, which Operating system do you use? I managed to find a solution for XP SP3.

  • How to get WHAT U HEAR option for PCI Express X-Fi Titanium sound card and Windows 7

how to get WHAT U HEAR option for PCI Express X-Fi Titanium sound card and Windows 7 ? Is it on the basic driver? or do you have to install some other software?
    jane

You have to install the rest of the software(s) for the sound card. The software is (if it is with the installation CD, though) called "Creative Smart Recorder" or something like that.

  • Trying to get sound from my X-FI Fatal1ty Titanium Pro. to Home Theatre via Optical Ca

Hi wondering if anyone has done this but I can't seem to get it to work. I have a X-Fi Fatalty Titanium Pro(w/o the Li've Dri've) on Vista 32-bit. Anywho it has the Optical I/O on the card itself and I am trying to hook this up to my Home Theater system. I have the optical already hooked up to the output on the card, and into my DVD input on my Yamaha receiver but am not getting any sound. So far that's all I have done, is there settings I am more than likely missing either in the Vista sound, creative console, etc....
Note:? I had this working before on my onboard sound and on XP, but since with the onboard I could only get some sounds playing through my home theater I decided to get this Fatalty Titanium card and the sound settings in Vista seems really vague not a lot of options.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Andy

I have a Yamaha RX-V3800, it's fairly new and supports just about every thing except true THX.
Not sure what DDL means, it just seems to me I am having a lot harder time with Vista setting than with XP. I had a X-Fi XtremeGamer installed but because it didn't have any Digital out so I had to use my onboard sound which has digital out in conjunction with my XtremeGamer. At least with XP you can choose say all my wave, payback sounds, etc.... to go through one device or the other, in my case either through the Realtek HD or the CL X-Fi XtremeGamer.
Now that I have the Fatalty and Vista and onboard sound disabled, I have a hard time seeing any options and settings if any at all that Vista has. ? Oh yes also with my old setup with the two sound devies, the only problem I had was that if I di'vert all the sound to my Home Theatre I would lose the sound in my Headset which I didn't want and had to change back and forth the audio devices to what I wanted.
I hope this helps answer your questions a little, and maybe help me answer mine.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • X-Fi Fatal1ty Plat1num Champion Ed. problem, please help!

9X-Fi Fatalty Platnum Champion Ed. problem, please help!? Hi there everyone,
So i have a X-Fi Fatalty Platnum Champion Ed. and a computer with Windows 7.
I've searched the web and i found many people saying that the card it's working and perfectly compatible so i would like to exclude this option as far as the problems that i'm having.
So, right out of the box i've placed the front panel in with the ribbon cable and the power connected to it, then i connected the other end of the ribbon cable and finally placed the card in one of the PCI slots i have free.
Now, when i start my PC, i don't hear any particolar "beep messages" but nothing will come on the screen, in few words my PC will not boot at all. I can hear the HDD spinning, everything sounds normal except for that "little" problem.
So, i re-did all the connections thinking that maybe i did something wrong, but following the instruction i did exactly as told. So i tried again to power up the computer and i've noticed that the X-Fi logo is lit up (red light) and.. I don't really know if that means something or it's just something aside that doesn't really matter.. But, what is it's The PCI card is broken or there's something else?
I did try to disable the sound card (integrated mobo sound) from the BIOS but that didn't change anything. I did try all the software options but this looks like more of an hardware problem (please correct me if i'm wrong and/or i've missed something).
There's something that popped up in my mind.. the PSU. I noticed that i have a 300W PSU (mm.. low, isn't it's)?and i was wondering if that's enough or i need a more powerful one.. and if that's may be the case for the PCI to not work at all causing all i've already explained above. I mean.. It seems like i've installed a dead peripheral and that's impeding the computer to start up..
I don't know.. I need clarification and help, PLEASE.
Thank you very much in advance!

Look at the beta thread sticked above but good luck waiting for a new driver. That beta driver has been there since January and although better than the normal driver it is still crap.
All the boot type issues are with the SSD but if you getting in game crashes etc... under windows 8 that is simply that the driver stinks.

  • 3 cards, one confused person..

Firstly, I know this a stupid question but I was out with editor friends and they confused me...so here it goes.
I'm buying a new mac pro to edit (fcp) in a live tv environment HD and SD. I'm Re encoding (evs) M-Jpeg files via media x change to IMX quick time. May need to record video, may need to play out.
Someone said I need a KONA card! another guy said a really good PCI express card!! and the third said a good quality Nvidia card i.e Quadro FX 4500!!!
I have tried to get info on the web but I just get more confused, can someone explain the difference between the three, in language a guy who only understands REALLY SIMPLE language can understand....
    please and thank you...
Mac Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

To expand on the previous comment, since it may not be entirely explanatory:
If you're doing FCP editing (live or not) your big needs will lie mostly in processor, RAM, and drive speed (not necessarily in that order). A Kona card is for encoding video (both in and out), and will likely be needed no matter what video card you go with, but has no purpose besides encoding video. Your computer can also do the encoding, but the purpose of the card is to offload that task. A Kona card is not a video card, and if you're in a "may need it" instead of "will need it daily" situation, it's probably not a huge requirement in your case.
Thanks to the power of the Mac Pro, the video card you use will make almost no difference in your editing unless you're doing something that requires 3D or requires more than one very large display. If you require two or more large displays, or require a card for 3D/GPU rendering (such as in Motion 2.0+) using the GPU (the processor on the video card), both the ATI X1900 and the very expensive NVidia will cover your needs. If you require neither heavy GPU processing, or more than one large display, the default video card will serve you well.
    My two cents:
Please (oh please please please) do not get suckered into buying gear that isn't needed but sounds good because "It's what 'all the pros' use", or is very rarely needed. If you only need a piece of equipment once in a while, rent it for a week. The saved money will go toward more RAM, which can always be used for anything.

  • Problem with console launcher and Titanium Champion Series

Hi all. I've recently got a X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champion Series, it's running on XP. As you know with the original drivers the I/O front panel didn?t work on XP, so I updated to the latest version 2.7.8. The problem is that now the I/O front panel seems to work, but the console launcher has been updated too to the 2.6.1.45 version and it's not working properly, when previously it was. I?ve detected two problems:
    1) You can enable the equalizer on any mode but the list of presets (rock, pop, jazz...) don?t appear
    2) The console launcher crashes in the very moment you click on the Mixer thumb index, at least in Game mode, appearing an error message
I would thank any help. Bye.

Well, given I've still not received an answer, I think this may help somebody with the same problem.
I decided to install the Console Launcher 2.6.1.49 (beta) and it's working perfect so far, the two problems I told about have been fixed.
Another problem I had with the latest official drivers was that the volume panel wasn't shown at the taskbar. I simply fixed it by installing the original volume panel you can find in the installation CD.
    Bye.

  • X-Fi Titanium Champion Series. Folloup, Turns OUT STATIC NOT CREATIVES FA

Well I came on and posted a couple of threads. One was about the four new cards I had purchased (All new Titanium PCI-E Cards) which had redicules amount of static in everything. Some examples:
.) Explosions in games huge static
2.) Watching videos online and scrolling up and down caused static
    3.) General Windows Audio Static
Im not 00% which resolved it. Firstly I have the Asus Striker II Extreme Motherboards, Upgraded to the 03 series Bios, and the new September set of nforce/geforce/ntools drivers for the 9800 GX2s. After reinstalling windows, the static was gone. Previously I had static at this point. However once I installed the ACPI update from windows update, the static returned. Reinstalled windows and didnt install this one update and statics gone.
Im using the Drivers right off the cd, turns out "This isnt the fault of Creative Labs". I was trolling them before blaming them stating its the first Creative Card Ive used thats ever given me problems, now I know I trolled the wrong guy and creative as always does maintain and make an awesome product

Its interesting really, the SupremeFX II in the same PCI-E slot doesnt get any static. Ive had to remove the Titanium PCI-E and use the onboard to stop static when using SLI.
I use to get static with SLI off but it looks like the most recent BIOS from asus along with all the latest drivers from nvidia seemed to fix this however in SLI the problem still exists
I dont feel as though this is creatives problem is the non sli static was fixed with nvidia drivers

  • Cannot install X-Fi Fidel1ty Titanium Champion

    Hi
I recently purchased this card and tried installing it but cannot get it to work. Ive updated and downgraded the drivers repeatedly, changed PCe slots (The lil X-Fi logo lights up), Device manager shows that the card is installed, under control panel->sounds, The only devices listed are my onboard sound speakers and X-Fi SPDIF. I have already tried unistalling the onboard sound card so there is no interference. When I go to any of the creative utilities that came on the disc, I get an error along the lines of "No compatible softwae has been detected. either it is not installed or running in an unsupported mode". Plus the thing you put in the Optical dri've bay does not light up or anything like that and the cables are as secure as I can get them. Please help! my specs are as follows:
    Vista x64
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 2.2 GHz
    3.5 GB DDR ram
    750 Watt power supply
Any other information let me know.
    Thanks

Success!? Thanks at least in small part to you robert, that driver you linked above set me down the right path of getting this thing working.
I had already disabled the HDMI audio controller on my 5970 and onboard audio has been disabled for as long as I've had this motherboard.
What I ended up doing was downloading the PAX PCIe driver package, tried to install that and same as before, it wouldn't detect the sound card. Manualy uninstalled the generic driver Win7 was loading, tried the PAX installer again, no go. I then got the pright idea of trying to force install the PAX driver, do I went in and updated the driver for the High Definition Audio Device, pointed it at the wdm_emu.inf in the \drivers\wdm folder in the PAX download. Had to confirm and then reconfirm the driver since the OS would not recognize it. Rebooted again and this time, the sound card showed up correctly as Creative SB X-Fi, but with a bang on it and error code 0. At that point, I was able to run the PAX driver installer again and this time it detected the card and allowed me to reload the driver since I had forced it in earlier.
Went through the install with no errors, rebooted and finally got sound. Loaded up ALchemy and the console launcher and everything detected the card and works great.
Finally got this thing set up the way I wanted with optical running from the card to my 5. receiver and the I/O dri've installed so I can quickly plug in my headset and switch to that on the fly, while still getting my EAX and crystalizer effects.
Very happy now, glad to give any further details anyone wants about the process I followed to fix it.

  • Graphics Card Upgrade Confusion

    Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to get a few questions clarified.
I've been reading a number of different posts on here as well as other places as to which graphics cards work in early mac pros, specifically:
    http://blog.macsales.com/6856-owc-reveals-which-radeon-video-cards-work-with-200 6-2009-mac-pros
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2544029&tstart=0
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC742ZM/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MTg2OTU0NzM
Basically, I'm looking to replace my old DVI monitor with one of the new Apple Cinema Displays (27-inch) which only supports Display Port, and thus, I will need a new graphics card to accompany it. I'm reading conflicting reports that say the 5770 will work perfect, and others that say only the DVI port will work (which wont help me).
I'm running a Mac Pro 1,1 (2 x 2.66GHz) currently with the ATI x1900 XT. If anyone has a better solution for getting Display Port support please let me know.
    Phil

How many people, raise your hand, have MacPro1,1 + 5770 + 27" display?
No one? no hands? because the 5770 and 27" display aren't shipping?
OWC blog has rushed and stumbled more than once. Go by Barefeats.

  • Using the Xfi Titanium Champion in a chat r

I belong to a forum where I wish to play music and use the microphone at the same time (DJ). In the instructions for the forum for Windows Vista it says enable "stereo mix" or with Sound Blaster Cards check for "What I Hear". The Xfi in Vista 64 seems to present me with neither of these options to enable in Windows Vista64 when I check show all disabled and all disconected devices. How can I play music from my hard dri've and talk on the microphone at the same time in a chat room. This is specifically what I bought this card to do. Please help!? Being able to help with DJ tasks is important to me.

    Hi Gizmo...
It's not the mic per se' I'm having trouble with. They can hear my mic, but not the music I'm playing off the hard dri've at the same time. Many lesser cards can do this, even in Vista so I dont see why they cant get this to work. I want to be able to play the music in a chat room, have people hear it, and talk over the music with my mic at the same time.
I can't seem to get their tech support people to understand this. They said it was Vista, but there are others in my group who use Vista and do it all the time with and Audigy card, a Li've card, or even cards from other manufacturers. Thank you for your response MadGizmo. I just don't think they believe people will do more than one thing with this card. But computers are multifunctional instruments of life, and they will be used for anything it is possible to do... even chat and play music!
