X-FI FATAL1TY : Wrong model number on my c

I noticed that the Model number on my X-Fi fatalty card's PCB does not correspond to the model numbers published on this site. The X-Fi should have the model number SB0466 but on mine it reads SB0460, which corresponds to the X-Fi platinum or Extreme music edition. The I/O dri've is ok and the packaging is definately the Fatalty edition.
Has anyone else found this with their Fatalty card?</LI>
Does this mean that the wrong card was packaged</LI>
Is their another way to determine that model number by reading a chip identifier (not the drivers) by software or any other way to determine that the card is actually a Fatalty model.</LI>
Hope somebody can help or enlighten me, and thanks when you do. :manhappy:
I have copied the info below from http://ask.europe.creative.com/wweng...List_Audio.htm
<A target=_blank><B>Sound Blaster Products</B> <B>Model Number </B>
Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatalty FPS SB0466
Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro SB0550
Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum SB0460
Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic SB0460
Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O Dri've SB0250
Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O External ConsoleSB0256

Okay guys, i have read much about samsung chips:
>Also if its a Music or plat card the mem chip will be a <B>Samsung</B> chi, its located directly above the <B>X</B>-FI chip
But my Xtreme Music has no Sasmsung chip on it its a Hynix Chip. The Sticker says 0460, wo what card
is mine?
Here is a picture of this card:
http://www.k8we.com/?q=gallery&g2_vi...geViewsIndex=2
Not a good picture, but good enough to see the hynix chip and the sticker.
Please Help!
Does this mean:
hy57V660ET-6
which means:HY=HYnix57=SdramV = Voltage 3,3V6= Density 6M6= Organization x6 = 2Banks0 = Low Voltage TTLE = 6th Generation ChipT = TSOP Package-6= 66MHz
I think density is 6 million bits = 2MB.
Not all X-FIs have a "Samsung" Chip!

• Wrong Motherboard Model Number in BIOS won't let Recovery CD run

Hello all,
Scoured the internet for an answer, and haven't found anything to help, so I thought I'd ask here. Trying to resurrect an old Toshiba Satellite P100 of mine.
I'm trying to reformat it with the Windows XP Professional SP3 recovery disc (ancient OS, I know; don't ask why I'm using it, just am) that came with my laptop.
However, it won't run because the motherboard model number in my BIOS is wrong. I get the following message:
"This Recovery and Applications CD is not configured to work with this machine (ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ)
This CD is for: Satellite P100,Satellite P105
Please use the correct Recovery and Applications CD"
That series of y's with umlauts is what's showing as the mainboard model number in CPU-Z. I know what my actual number is, and that definitely ain't it. I've run this same recovery disc on this very motherboard before and it worked no problem. I don't really know why the model number would have changed since then.
I've tried resetting BIOS and flashing new BIOS as well, and nothing changes the model number to the correct one. Is there any way that I can correct it?
I know that I have a bad RTC battery/CMOS battery. I'm not sure if that could have caused the model number change. All I can tell so far is that it's messing with the BIOS time, but I didn't know if it could have changed the model number. I can't just replace it because apparently the battery is soldered to the motherboard for p100/p105 models, and if I have to buy a new motherboard then I think I'll just give up.
The laptop is obviously out of warranty, so it's not like I can send it to a certified Toshiba repair center or anything. I'd like to use my recovery disk to reinstall XP Pro with all the original drivers and programs since there are a few on there that I'd have to pay for otherwise to reinstall since they didn't come with product keys. If there is any other way to format and reinstall to factory settings without the cd, I'm open to it and would must appreciative.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, Toshiba does not supply the utility that fixes the DMI string for your model. (It would be like this one.) Toshiba expects you to take it to a dealer for resetting.
If you have or obtain a Windows XP installation CD, I can help you with installation.

• Does anyone have a Soundblaster X-fi Fatal1ty FPS soundcard that has a model number SB0

I have had a replacement soundcard sent to me which Creative diagnostics says is an X-fi Fatalty ExtremeGamer Pro with a Model number SB0460 and serial number MASB046654900897C . The origional soundcard that I sent for a replacement was a soundblaster X-Fi Fatalty FPS soundcard with a model number SB0466 with a serial number MASB046654800429F.
Creative Labs returns department?advises me that the replacment soundcard is the same as the one I returned because the serial numbers both start MASB0466, however Wikipedia advises that the model number for the replacement is incorrect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creativ..._Model_Numbers. Does this seem correct? Does the model number mean nothing and the serial number advise the type of soundcard I have? Why does Creative diagnostics now advise that the soundcard is?an?X-fi Fatalty EtremeGamer Pro which it did not before?List of soundcards including costs:-http://uk.europe.creative.com/shop/c...nguage=&cate=2?I have recieved 3 replacement soundcards that Creative Diagnostics?has advised?are?X-fi Fatalty ExtremeGamer Pro with a Model number SB0460 of which I have returned?2 as the returns department agreed were incorrect. Now Creative Labs Returns?says other poeple have?X-Fi Fatalty FPS soundcards?which have model numbers?SB0460 and dont want me to return this soundcard again. All I asked for is a replacement with a soundcard with a model numbed SB0466 as the SB0460 does not appear to work correctly with the FPS drivers and I/O header unit.?Surely considering that the FPS version is the second most expenci've soundcard?on sale?to the public?that Creative Diagnostics would rcognise this as an FPS soundcard and not an Extreme gamer? Please let me know what you think? Many Thanks?JamesMessage Edited by gtmonster on 05-20-200702:2 PM

Hmm.. weird. I also have a X-Fi Fatalty FPS Pro and it's also the SB0460 but my serial number is slightly different.
It looks exactually like this.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/55/Creative_SB_X-Fi_Fatalty-AB.jpg
Model: SB0460
Model on Gold Plate: SB0460-D
Serial: MASB046A64XXXXXXXH
So what is my card supposed to be then?

• Are there other possebilities like open the pc to find the model numb

Hello, i want to find out if my creative xfi champion series can decode dts or not. That seems to depend on follow 2 models. SB046A/SB0256 or SB0466/SB0256. Can that not be find out with the serial number? thanks TheAI

hello,
now im telling u something: Im not an computer idot who doesnt know to make a complete newinstall of an driver. Im studing computer sience. And i have already reinstall the driver completly and im not going reinstall vista! Ok i have not so much digital audio knowleage. And the creative knowlaege base and the helpfile is an joke (doesnt found why i couldnt activate dolby). Its now the first time that i have found that i can read the model number on the package...... And its quite a joke that u sell sound card with different specifics on the same name. Im sorry that you have that u have so much bad support requeusts. But im suching for long for a resolution and im realy fustrated. The support is in the most cases realy bad. The most time i get support repley there with wrong solution because sb has just read a part of the mail. Thats not only you. Asus, sony ericsson....... I have now google so much and dont find a real solution for this beause its really the dam problem. I had realy not understood why the card not give an nice 5. signal to my amp. I never see an dts or dolby symbol in the menu. Never decoder options or passtrougth (ok i know its automatik activated, creative told activate it's!) and i have just bougth the card for my amp. But now i have now found the problem "SB046A" (no decoder)... know that because i saw a picuture of the decoder option and its that what i really need. I try to install an mod driver who have fixed much thinks and hope the card has the future and it is only a software difference. And its a joke to fix this with a 5$ very old power dvd software. Im completly sure that the games crash on the open al. Im realy realy disappointed because of that. Realtek brings ofter driver and look it also support the amp. Dont know why but i have a realy 5.. Ok it has not so much soundhardwarefutures like creative but the driver are very good. So i hope i have now right and good explaind it, because my english is ver bad.
have a nice weekend.

• Macbook pro (model number a1226) no power

I have a Macbook Pro (model number A1226) - the computer has been working perfectly.  However, I let the battery drain and since then, the laptop will not power up.  I have tried everything:
Using two different power cords
Plugging the power cord(s) into different outlets - even in different rooms
Pressing CTRL + Command + Power
Pressing Option + Command + Power
Taking out the battery, unplugging the mag power cord, pressing the Power Button for 10 seconds... plugging back in mag power cord... trying to start it.
Nothing on all of the above.  Someone please help.  There was absolutely nothing wrong with the computer and it has not moved an inch since the power went out!
I appreciate it.
Stephanie.

Something new has happened though - the power indicator has now changed to amber and the battery pack that you can remove is now flashing green (there are 5 indicator lights on the battery and the first one is now flashing).
Is that a good sign?
That is a very good sign. It means the battery is charging, and I suspect at this point you should be able to boot the MBP (leave it plugged in until the amber turns green).

• SEPA Mandates Registered on wrong Customer Number

Hello all,
In the past few months we have been implementing SEPA, we are nearing the end of the implementation, but we still have one issue open. During the implementation of SEPA we have also implemented a new customer model (changing of payer and sold-to-party partner functions). This is leading to the problem that some of the SEPA mandates that we have registered in SAP, have been registered on the wrong customers number, ie. xx2 instead of xx1.
Now I can't change the status of the mandate to "Obsolete" and then create it on a different customer as the mandate ID number already exists in SAP. So I'm looking for a way to delete the mandates completely from SAP so that I can then create them once again on the correct customer number, but so far I have not yet been able to find such a way. So I'm hoping that you can help me.
It's concerning mandates for which the mandate ID's where created outside of SAP, so the Mandate number range within SAP should not be a problem.
Regards,
Thijs

hi,
you have three possibilities to determine the organizational data in SD
during the EDI inbound process.
The first possibility is to send these fields in the Idoc-Segment
E1EDK14 (Qualifier 006 - division, Qualifier 007 - distribution chanel,
Qualifier 008 - sales organization, Qualifier 010 - sales group,
Qualifier 012 - ordertype,  Qualifier 016 - Sales office)
The second possibility to determine is table EDSDC. In this table You
can make table entries for sales organization, distribution chanel and
division per customer and vendor. You need an sold-to party and a
E1EDKA1 segment with an filled vendor in field E1EDKA1-LIFNR.
(transaction VOE2). Please check these settings.
The third possibility is to fill it in the IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS user-exits.
For error analyis, see SAP note 380603
kind regards

• Help me Identify my Model number of Satellite P500

Hi To All,
Guys I have bought a new toshiba satellite laptop P500 Series. I am having hard time to identify it's complete model number. I have search the internet all over but still haven't found any luck in identifying it. Could anyone please help me in this situation.
Model : Satellite P500
Part number : PSPG8U-08F02CB       Operating System : Windows 7 home premium 64bit
I would be very thankful for anybodys help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot for replying. I have everything. I have even made my recovery DVD's. I got it from Dubai. I just wanted to know the specs through it's model number in a bit more detail.
When I bought it even then only it said P500. Just out of curiosity I wanted to ask that can I install a 2nd HDD ??? There is a compartment below I saw....
I wanted to ask also that I hear a sound below the left speaker like if the wings of the fan are touching something !! The sound is barely there but when it is turned on it's audible for 2 secs a bit loud than becomes quite but still is there if listened very very carefully. Just wanted to ask is it something alarming or I should just forget it. Because I love it as it is performing awesomely. No problems what so ever. It runs smoothly. I even updated the BIOS. Although I read in the forums many complaints of people about the P500 & also about the BIOS problem that occured after the update from toshiba service station. Thanks to God my laptop is working smoothly.
I think that the some of the P500's very faulty machinery or hardware or software problems. Just my opinion though. Hope to reading your reply soon. Thanks

• Where to find Model Number on Dell Venue Pro 11

I am trying to figure out if my tablet will support dual monitors but I need to find the model number (box was thrown away long time ago). Where can I find the model number?

Do you mean the model number or the serial number? Both are available in the "More Info" link within "About This Mac" (on the first tab, "Hardware"). You can also find the serial number under your battery.

My hard drive needs to be replaced and I am looking to do it myself. However, I am in need of the model number of my MacBook Pro. The issue with this is, it has been worn off. My MacBook Pro is a 13" Mid-2009 model.

Any 2.5"dia, 9.5mm thick SATA HDD will be compatible.  Look at options here:

im running OSX 10.7.4

Hi There,
I have had the exact same issue but with a projector.
The issue lies with Mountian Lion 10.8.2.
I tried many a combination with no luck to get HDMI working.
Took my mac into the apple store and came to the conclusion it was the software, so I asked them to install 10.8 onto it (this is destructive so a backup is a must)
Bought my macbook home and voila, now displaying through my projector.
There is a small graphics update after 10.8.1 which seems to be the cause.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

• Satellite Pro A300D - What is the model number for the keyboard?

My husband managed to dislodge a keycap on my keyboard, and broke the white scissor clip that holds hit on...(don't ask me how)
He spoke to the authorised service centre here in Norway, and they sent us replacement scissor clips (actually they sent an old non-functioning keyboard) but the clips are of a different design to the ones on my laptop.
I was wondering if anyone has an idea of the model/serial number of the keyboard used in the Satellite Pro A300D-151 (PSAK9E) so I can get the correct replacement part.
I really don't want to have to replace the whole keyboard when it's just 1 of the scissor clips that is broken...the laptop is only 5 months old.
Here are some photos of the scissor clip in question & the where it attaches to the keyboard (sorry about the quality)

Hi
Sorry buddy but its not possible to exchange some single keys on a keyboard so in this case you must replace the complete keyboard. But normally this should not be so difficult.
Either you exchange the keyboard yourself or you sent the notebook to the authorized service provider.
The model number for the keyboard is not known to me but contact your ASP!! They can order all Toshiba parts and they should know the right part number.
Bye

• Why do my contact photos keep getting assigned to the wrong person/number?

This has happened to me twice recently:  my phone rings and the wrong contact photo appears with the wrong phone number.  All my contact photos are assigned to the wrong person/phone number.  Any ideas on what's going on?  Thanks!

Thanks for your reply.
Can I get this straight in my mind? Does this mean that I will have to put ALL the photos stored on my Laptop into ONE  large folder, then divide it up into sub-folders? Then I can copy each sub-folder?
Sorry to sound stupid, but most things I try on my ipod don't seem to work for me. I think I am getting a bit old for all this.....lol.
.......Actually thinking back, a while back I did click on my main folder called "Nikon" and that did copy everything in it, but just in one whole lot, ie 1,000 photos.........................so nothing was sub-divided into folders, ie. holiday 2010, holiday 2011. Is that another problem I have created for myself?
Thanks for your patience.

When i tried to install the MAC OS, it identifies a hard drive with 3.6 TB and i'm not able to do the installation. I touhgt the new ard drive was bad but i was able to install windows XP. Any ideas what do i have to do?

Well, let's hope that nothing was jiggled out of place when you were installing the new hard drive. Your optical drive may just be out of alignment or the disc you have is "dirty." Get a lint-free cloth and some rubbing alcohol, then clean the disc as thoroughly as you can starting from the center and working outward in a concentric circlular motion. See if that helps. In particular clean the inner portion well.
If this does not help, then you have a problem. You have opened the computer yourself. That action voids all support from Apple. If you take the computer in for service the store may refuse to service the computer. This is not related to your now expired warranty.
