Ah, that'll explain it then
Try this. If it doesn't work, we'll figure something else out.
Under Recorder, try and select Digital In as the Line In.
We'll figure something out, don't worry Even fi it means uninstalling and re-installing the drivers from scratch

no sound on games but sound when i play music

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • Iphone 4 when playing game no sound

    hi guys:
my iphone 4 when playing game no sound but the ringstone is ok no problem,so i try to reset my phone but the problem still there~is that my hardware problem?

    Hello Zijie92,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with sound on your iPhone.  Have you checked to see if the Side Switch is enabled?  This could be muting the audio:
In ring mode, iPhone plays all sounds. In silent mode, iPhone doesn’t ring or play alerts and other sound effects.

  • Please tell me about i did free game download but free games not sound what i do?

i have i pad air 4g i did download some free games. then games start sound is not what i do?

If you aren't getting sound, and you have the volume 'on', then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off').
The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • Audigy 2 NX Directional (backward) Game Sound Prob

    Hello.
I recently bought one of the last few Audigy 2 NX's and I like it EXCEPT...
I play a lot of online games (first person shooters) - Counter Strike specifically...
and pretty much until a player is about 5 feet behind me, i cannot hear a thing ... let me elaborate
i can throw a grenade at a pretty average length, then spin around so the nade explodes in a path that is DIRECTLY behind me, and i will not hear it ... though, if i through the same nade the same direction and length, but i am FACING the explosion, the direction and sound is fine - i hear it loud and clear
if i am turned around and someone rushes DIRECTLY in a path behind me, i will not hear ANY footsteps until they are about 8 feet behind me in game, then i start hearing them
obviously this isnt right!!! i obviously cant have 3 / 4 directions in game work fine, but behind me i cant hear anything... does anyone have any opinions about this? ever heard anything about this? what's going on! i have tried and experimented with a lot of different settings in the creative settings
i have tried eax on and off, speaker settings on headphones, 2 speakers, 4, 5., and 7., ... i dont know what else to try
i just bought it a few days ago so i know the drivers are updated ... right?
someone help a MAN IN NEED!
    thanks
    Jeremy

Well, I am new to high-end sound cards, and I may be misinterpreting the terminology, but the sound card is supposed to be a 24bit/96kHz card.
I am under the impression that one should be able to set the output quality of the card to 24bits of depth and a 96kHz sample rate, despite the speaker setting that one may be using, to decode good quality audio streams (say an audio cd or the dolby digital audio of a dvd movie.) I can currently achieve this only on 2. speaker systems (or when i set the speaker setting of the card to 2.) Otherwise the maximum bit depth/sample rate I can set the card output to is a sample rate of 48kHz and a bit depth of 6bits.
Am I mistaken in thinking that if I am playing a good quality audio stream I should be able to raise the output quality of the card to that which it is advertised and claims to have?
    Thnx

  • From game to game - a sound repeats and we can't stop it

    Hi.
I have an English course and kids play activities to learn English.
We have a bug in one game whereby the sound of the word repeats. Even when we use stopAllSounds - the sound is still kept in memory and you can hear it in the next activity - it's a disaster and kids get real angry.
    What can we do?

Yes, I'm not bad at flash - I've been on this forum for a fair bit. You've helped me a lot.
I'll be back tonight with fla and debugging mode.
    Speak to you later.

  • Audigy 2 ZS gamer Edition Sound Crack

Hey all. I just want to preface this by saying that I've read over the guide by xmn, and sadly that hasn't helped get rid of my problem.
    First of all, I have a Dell Dimension 3000 with 2GB CL2 Dual-Channel RAM, a 3.0GHz Pentium 4 w/HT processor, and a Radeon 9250 256MB PCI Card.
Secondly, the crackling I get happens mainly when I'm using certain games, and not when I'm using Winamp, Windows Media Player, or the like. It seems content to disrupt sound in games like Ragnarok Online, Dark Corners of the Earth, and Beyond Good & Evil, etc.
Originally thinking this was a problem with my old Intel Extreme2 integrated graphics card, I disabled that and used an old nVidia one, before switching out that and using this Radeon model; the problem remained constant, so I'm fairly sure it isn't any DirectX problems.
The Audigy 2 ZS I have installed has only the audio drivers installed with it, which I then patched (the new version includes a basic audio console). The problems remain, but judging that they're happening "outside" of basic Windows operation, I'm beginning to think it might be caused by games believing the default audio device (onboard SoundMAX) to be the one to process sound. Since I've disabled the onboard sound device already, that leaves me guessing.
Further, Control Panel>Sounds & Audio Devices>Audio Tab>Sound Playback > Default Device has Modem #0 Line Playback as an option, and although I've uninstalled and removed the 56k PCI modem, it still shows up, which I think might have something to do with the problem.
I think that's about it. Thanks for trying, people!

So I had the same problem with my Audigy 2 zs... I would also get sqeeling sometimes... I wanted to smash my machine.. I figured I had an old machine so I upgrade... All new components except for the sound card... No Crackles... but within a few months it came back...
Again.. Wanted to smash this sound card. I found this forum and after months nothing helpded except... this one guy told me this crazy idea to go into every nook and cranny, EAX, THX, Volume, etc. and click on default.... Of course I thought this guy was nuts but I figured I tried everything else.. Holy Shiat
!!! It actually worked. What I guess is that my volume was some how too high... OR since the card is very dependent on software for switch modes it reset the card.. Anycase... It eventually came back but as long as I do not put the volume above 70% I do not get it after of course click on default.. . If it comes back I do the same thing and it goes away... Gi've it a try and let me know if this was an isolated fix for myself and the other guy that told me about it.

  • Audigy Gamer re install prob

I am trying to re install my Audigy Gamer sound card and when I attempt this with the original install disk I get a error message saying that "Setup could not detect any sound blaster audigy on your system. Please ensure that your sound blaster hardware is properly installed before running this setup program. Setup will exit now". When I look in the device manager I can see that Windows has a "Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)" listed.
How is it possible that Windows sees Audigy hardware and yet Audigy's own install software doesn't? Also how can I get this thing properly installed ? I've un installed it several times and physically removed the card already and after 3 hours of this fun stuff I am right back where I started.
    Thanks for any help

Hi. I've got the same problem after reinstalling windows and installing sp2. I keep getting the same error messages. few times on reinstall of old drivers from the cd it actualy went frough with installation and there actualy was sound at windows shut down. but on starup nothing again. tried reinstalling few times. tried installing new updated drivers, but thouse would not install at all! tried changing pci slots, nothing.. and it seems that creatives techs or c.s. reps have no interest in looking in forum nor they have any idea what the problem is with this issue . I suspect it has to do with sp2 update. may be direct x issue. but can't roll back to previuse version of direct x without reinstalling the sp2. any one has any idea how to fix this sound card issue?

  • Performance problems in games with Sound Blaster USB Sound Dev

    Hello!
I recently bought a new USB sound device named "Creative Sound Blaster Surround 5. USB Sound Device"?or maybe also "Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit External" as this is the name that Windows is displaying.
Before, i was using a C-Media PCI Audio Device.
    Other system info:
    Windows Vista SP
ATI Radeon 9200 LE (i know it's old, but i was able to play the games before)
    2GB RAM
Now, my performance in games decreased significantly.
I only play Team Fortress 2, but i also tried an old GoldSrc engine?based game which was also slower.
The game now isn't playing fluently like before: my fps dropped and every few seconds, the graphics stop as there is a big network lag. It is now impossible to really play the game.
    i already tried
    - reinstalling steam and tf2
    - using another usb port
    - reinstalling the sound drivers
    - all (both sound and graphics) settings to low
The Steam support thinks that the data transfer rate for USB isn't high enough for what is needed and recommends that i should buy an internal sound card.
But i hope there is a different solution to this problem and someone here can help.
    Thanks!

No PCI interface, but USB = Slow. No hardware-acceleration (Mayber your CMedia had !real!, not pseudo?DS hardware support) so its normal that the soundblaster usb is slower in every term. But maybe sounds better...
The USB versions are only for Notebooks and other speciall situations where a PCI soundcard with X-FI or Audigy chip cannot be used...

You can always go back to those driver which worked 'perfectly'.

  • Games: Gun sounds are muted?

Anyone have problems with headphones and Bluetooth after iOS 4.1 with muted gunfire? On 4.0 they worked but in 4.1, they don't even shrill.
    * FieldRunners - Rocket launchers make sound for the first two cannons, but if you populate the land with 10-100 launchers, no sounds
    * Eliminate - All guns don't use audio. Not even a 9mm sound.
Some gun games you can hear but only the non-gun games play the most audio.

    Hi,
Check System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects.
Outside of the iChat > Preferences > Alerts to "Test" the sounds they are played as System Alerts (or at least this is the Control for them)
This can play the Alerts at a higher volume than the master Volume, relatively speaking, much like the way iTunes has it's own Volume control.
(Side Issue - Microphone Input is controls in System Preferences > Sound > Input and this has a direct effect on how loud you are to your Buddy.)
    Summary.
iChat Alert Sounds 9ichat preferences > Alerts) are played the same volume as System Alerts in System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects and the Alert Volume slider.
In relative terms this can be louder than the Input volume and settings found in other places such as iTunes or the System Preferences > Speech Recognition > Configuration button
The Volume settings work like the Master volume as a Hifi Output device, with a separate radio hooked up that has it's own volume control, and a record Player with it's own control etc.
If you want to hear the Alerts whilst the Master volume is turned Down then the Alert Volume needs to be cranked Up.
