X-Fi I/O Console receiver

I've just installed new monitor (EIZO FlexScan S240W); near the monitor i have the X-Fi I/O Console: the receiver led blink continously: does monitor emit frequencies?
Help

Yes, enough that i put my hand between monitor and the box, or turn off the monitor, and no blinking! Ehi, it is me that reflect the signal from monitor, if i go away from the monitor no blinking? Incredible, what's happening? Yes, if i cover with a tshirt only the front of the monitor (led panel) no blinking. Help!

Thanks a lot for the advice,

Hi,
I think there is a syntax problem in your SPRUNCONSO call. GROUPS_SET variable is missing. The syntax should be like this:
*RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE = SPRUNCONSO([%APP%],[%CATEGORY_SET%],[%GROUPS_SET%],[%SCOPETABLE%],[%LOGTABLE%])
In addition, not sure if it's a typo problem or not, but it seems that your call for the SPRUNCONVERSION is also wrong. Some variables are also missing:
*RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE=SPRUNCONVERSION([%APP%],[%CATEGORY_SET%],[%CURRENCY_SET%],[GLOBAL],[%SCOPETABLE%],[%LOGTABLE%])
Then, for all the error codes, you can get rid of those one using the ON_ERROR_CONTINUE, at the end of the line.
Normally, those kind of error message are generic, and informed the user that there is actually no records that should be the source of the SPRUNCONSO stored procedure.
Hope this will help you.
Kind Regards,
Patrick

• Console Gaming - NAT Issues - Workaround and Solut...

I've already used the BT Broadband Contact Us, to raise this issue. They said it was beyond them and that they'd forward me an address for a technical forum. They've not managed to do so yet, so I'm trying here.
Problem:
NAT hole punching regularly fails between peers/players, manifests as "Cannot chat to player due to NAT Issues" on many different broadband routers.
TL/DR:
The BT Home Hub iptables INPUT chain should have a default action of DROP and not REJECT.
Long Version:
I'm a network engineer and programmer analyst and have been for approaching two decades. I'm also a gamer. I'm regularly frustrated by NAT Issue errors while trying to play online games with my friends.
Frustrated for so long, we decided to start analysing the problem. Using packet captures and simulations, we have reproduced the problem and identified dubious logic in the netfilter conntrack module in the Linux kernel.
When it works:
When using a Playstation 4 to play Destiny, using either in-game or PS Party chat, each console uses a NAT discovery service to find it's external IP address and make an educated guess as to whether there is port translation.
At the end of this process, each Player Console receives IP/Port pairs for the other players, they then emit UDP from their desired port to the IP/Port pair of each of the other Players. These UDP packets pass through their NATing routers and establish conntrack entries for the source ip/port, destination ip/port and protocol (here on referred to as five-tuple) with NAT associations with the console's LAN ip address and port; this is the hole-punching.
All being well, each players console has created an association for each of the other players packets to come back through and then they are able to send each other data on these ports.
When it doesn't work:
However, here's the race condition: if player B's packet reaches player A's router before player A has sent theirs, there is no NAT association, no conntrack entry for the 5-tuple. The incoming packet instead considered as intended for the router.
The iptables configuration on the router says that the packet is not allowed and REJECTs it, sending an ICMP destination unreachable packet in response. This reply is then inspected by conntrack, which decapsulates is and erroneously creates a conntrack entry for the 5-tuple.
Now when Player A's console does manage to send it's own hole punching UDP packet, the 5-tuple for the desire hole is associated with the router's ICMP destination-unreachable. So Player A's packet can't have the desired port number and is renumbered to the first available port (e.g. 1025). Player B's subsequent packets to A follow the conntrack entry started by the ICMP destination-unreachable and are sent to the router which continues to reject them.
How to fix this mess
Linux conntrack
Arguably the decapsulation of the ICMP payload and the usage of it to create a conntrack entry is erroneous. The ICMP unreach should not stop the port from being used by a NAT client.
This will take a long time to fix and when fixed may never be back-ported to home routers which may never see new firmware again anyway.
Modify the routers configuration
If the router dropped instead of rejecting the traffic (relatively simple administrative task given appropriate access), the ICMP destination-unreachable wouldn't be generated, conntrack wouldn't create the erroneous entry and then even if Player B's packets arrived before Player A had sent theirs, it would still work.
Disable the "firewall" and put your console in the "DMZ"
These are terms borrowed from the Home Hub 3 admin interface. If you set your console as the "DMZ", it will receive any internet traffic that isn't associated with an already established flow. Actually at this point I'm not certain whether or not you *have* to set the "firewall" to disabled. It depends on how the "firewall" is implemented.
On my console disabling the firewall and setting the console to be the DMZ works around the problem. However, you can only have one default NAT target. So any other device suffering from this problem would be out of luck without you reconfiguring your router each time. Also I'm not thrilled by my console receiving unfiltered internet traffic.
In closing
Race-conditions depend on timings. This one is exacerbated by low latency between players. In this case the difference between server<->PlayerA and server<->PlayerB latencies has to be lower than the PlayerA<->PlayerB latency. If PlayerA and PlayerB have low latency between each other they are more likely to suffer from this problem.
Please, please, please bring this to the attention of someone who is responsible for the configuration of your routers. A simple configuration change on the HomeHub would prevent this problem from happening and remove the need for customers to add special configuration to their router and lowering their security.
Thanks for reading.

Please help.

thanx for your reply Dave,
When I get this error, nothing shows up in the instance screen.
Also, I had to configure the partner link using the wsdl provided in definitions tab in the esb console (since the service explorer in jdev throws an exception: service not found". So, i did cut and paste only and it parsed perfectly. i am using the concrete url available in the definitions tab in esb console.
And what wud u mean by esb rt endpoint?
Where can I find the wsil browser in bpel
I am still tryig to figure out the cause of the problem here.
I tried the following today:
- created a new esb project
- created a new esb system
- created a db adaptor service with a simple select from a db table (The db table has only one record and one column)
- created a routing service for the same, with no routing rules or transformations
- registered the same with the esb server
- created a new synchronous bpel process
- created a partner link (using concrete wsdl available in the definitions tab in esb control)
- assigned the input and output variable to the partner link.
- deployed the bpel process
- initiated a new instance of the same from the bpel console
- received the following error "<Faulthttp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/>
<faultcode>env:Server</faultcode>
<faultstring>com.oracle.bpel.client.delivery.ReceiveTimeOutException: Waiting for response has timed out. The conversation id is 3f3d2d8955322f32:3ac11df3:10d5df12505:-7fb6. Please check the process instance for detail.</faultstring>
</Fault>"
- in the bpel console flow of the instance found the following error stack

• Remote Control and error 1456

We are having a Remote control issue with more and more PC's. If they are
logged in, we can remote control them. If they have bee restarted and are
waiting to log in, then we can not remote control them. We Can use
diagnostics on them though....
Zen 4.01 ir7 is where we are.
We are also having an issue where many times after imaging, the ISD is not
populated into windows, and gets associated with our Image PC's workstation
object. If we clear the ISD, delete both workstation objects, and reboot the
target PC, it does re-import correctly. The remote control issue does not
get fixed when this happens though....
I have seen that rmerrorlog.txt has been asked for in the past to help solve
this issue, so We are including that. Any help in resolving what we have set
wrong is appreciated.

• This is the iPad mystery.... Can you solve it??

http://www.google.com.au/webhp?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari
2012-09-10 20:16:49 +0000 Console Received memory warning.
2012-09-10 17:26:10 +0000 kernel AppleBaseband::resetDetectInterrupt with 0
My battery used to last me days on end. I've had this iPad for 3 months ipad2 64G
A friend of mine runs many many apps from his iPad which are remotes to his work pc & his home pc & his girlfriends pc.
He has access to Linux server and all kinds of photo shop apps and dns type apps.
We have a business email account set up which he has had full access to for the past year or so because I completely trusted he would be doing the right thing.
I called the people who we have our email account crazy domains the rep for some reason first told me that I had so many accounts attached to the server and then on second thought there was only one... I caught him out lying to me about it which he later confessed to making a slight mistake but couldn't disclose which emails they were.
All of my settings on everything I set up are consistently changed hotmail, Facebook iTunes you name it
I am wondering if it's just me going crazy or can my iPad be remotely mirrored without my knowledge ?
Strange things happen like one morning I woke up and the sim card was puked.....
I go to download an app and on his computer Which i have seen with my very own eyes not just once but 5 times in a row he is being prompted to enter a password for his account?.... Coincidence, I highly doubt it.. The other day I went to plug my iPad into iTunes and it told me that I had 5 other computers assigned to this iPad.... I deactived them all. My emails are doing all kinds of funny things
Today I received an email from [email protected] and it was addressed to [email protected] ...... My email is a totally different.. Completely different my email has a number 2 in it. Mind you the company [email protected] do email but they only have my hotmail.com account they don't know about my other email address so how did they email me there ? Lol and how did it arrive in my email box when it's not even addressed to me!
You can tell when something is up on the device because it begins to lag and miss beats. It's not as crisp and fluent in its operation.
Sometimes I purposely turn off my location and it magically turns itself back on.
Please help me to catch who ever it is so I can whoop some trust abusing ***.
Urgent

• Problems with Java 1.5_X installs help required.

Hi All,
Having problems with multiple machines with Java 1.5_X installs, the install ppears to complete successfully, and the version checking on the Java Website says that Java is installed however the checking of the Java Virtual Machine using the webpage on the Java site fails, ends up with a red cross in the right hand corner and opening the java console receive this list of messages:
load: class testvm2/Main.class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: testvm2.Main.class

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect, have tried uninsalling and reinstalling IE to no effect. Please note the problem does not happen when I install 1.6 versions on the same machine but unfortunately I need to get 1.5 working on these machines.
Any help is appreciated.

This is silly. Just because you don't know Vuze doesn't mean there's no problem with this update. My friends are having the same issue, of course we are looking at possible problem from Vuze's part but we cannot really say this update has 100% nothing to do with Vuze's launch failure, can we?
P.S. Since Vuze is not banned by law, it's still legal to use it. It's up to people if they want to use it for good or bad.

• Safari Random Quit -- any solutions yet?

Safari 6 on 10.7 Lion has been randomly quitting on me for months now. There is no error report just this message in the Console:
Received an invalid message from the web process with message ID 323002f
I see that others are having the same problem with the exact same Console message. Has anyone figured out how to fix this yet or is it a bug?

Select Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them and test.
Select  ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network. If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test.

• Can't access community members list in event receiver when item is updated in console application

Hi,
we attached an event receiver to a list in a community site template. In the ItemUpdated event we access different lists from the site. Everything is working fine when we update a list item in the web frontend logged in as Administrator (application pool
identity Administrator).
Updating an list item in a console application running as Administrator triggers the ItemUpdated event and accesses all lists - only the Community Member list can't be accessed.
SPWeb spWeb = properties.OpenWeb();
Guid communityMembersListGuid = new Guid("3b56d08b-be6b-408b-a2aa-c08722ad499b");
SPList communityMembersList = spWeb.Lists[communityMembersListGuid];
We added the Administrator with full access to the list, run the code with RunWithElevatedPrivileges and initialized the spSite with the account-token of the administrator. Nothing works.
Any idea?
Greetings Peter

Hi,
Please try to use the following code blow:
SPWeb spWeb = properties.Web;
SPList communityMembersList = spWeb.Lists["Community Members"];
If the issue still exists, I suggest you debug your code and provide the detail error message for further research.
Best Regards

It happened a mail 78. So I deleted the corresponding mail from the server and another similar looking one as well. Now the problem happened downloaden mail 76, which of course was a different mail than the one which caused the error at first. I then created a new account in mail.app which downloads from the same mail account and the problem happens there as well.
It is a POP account.
I then tested what's happening if I create a new user in Mac OS X and use Mail.app in the new account. This works.
So the problem is limited to my user account and there to all mail accounts going to the same POP server/user.
Do you have any ideas what could cause this behaviour and how I can solve it?
Bye

Welcome to the forums Oliver... good work at narrowing the problem down so far!
Try dragging this file to the Desktop and reboot...
/Users/nnnn/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Might also pay to clean caches, I use Applejack, but there are many. The log makes me think cache especially.

• Socket error on receive message on MDM 7.1 Console

Greetings -
This may be a simple question, but I couldn't find a solution, so here goes:
I have a new install for MDM:
OS: B.11.31 U ia64 (HP Unix)
MDM: 7.1.0.5
DB: Oracle 10.2.0.4
MDM Console Client : 7.1.0.5.92
I have MDM server and database on same server. When I go to connect to the server
and create a repository for the first time, I get the message "Socket error on receive".
This happens when I go to set my DBMS Settngs as well ...
I didn't see that on my Suse Linux 10 install.
I am looking at the logs, but I don't see what / why the initial call does not go through to the
database to set up connection. I have also put in fake SYSTEM / Password in the settings
and I get the same message. It seems that it doesn't get to the point where it authenticates
to the database(??).
I do have a core file. If I do a 'strings' on the core file, it appears that there is a connection
trying to happen. In the nohup.out file, I see this:
[[excerpt]]
[[INFO]] <MDM/Servers/MDS/MDSCommon/XCSGlobalFunctions.cpp:410> "User authentication method: Repository"
ConnectionAcceptor::ConnectionAcceptor(): bind() failed with errno=0x000000E2 'Address already in use'
Trying again for 120 seconds
[/excerpt]
Though this could be a misleading message ...
Few question:
How can I determine how to trace / see how the Console is trying to connect to the
MDM server / database?
How can I figure out what address this is talking about?
Is this just a vague error or should I be looking somewhere specific for troubleshooting?
Please advise!
Thanks!

Everyone -
We have a solution, however, it introduces a lot of new things that will require some
investigation. Before I go to that level, let me tell you what we did to resolve:
Recap:
Our MDM installation is on a shared OS (HP Unix) environment. It is not virtual. In short,
we have one large server and multiple application that have their own logical IP Addresses
and hostnames.
When trying to connect from the MDM console (laptop/workstation/etc), through the application
(MDM server) to the database (on the HP Unix system) and create a repository, this is where we
see the 'Socket on receive' error.
Solution:
As per SAP "Note 1264660 - MDM on HP-UX IA crash when used with Oracle 10.2.0.4 client",
part of the problem is because of how Oracle binds to a specific socket. By itself, that
solution did not work. This effects the server side, too. The next steps to fix this were to:
extract the SAP OCL10264.SAR files in the shared client directory (/oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient)
backup the library files from the server-level area of Oracle (/oracle/<SID>/102_64/lib)
stop Oracle, the listener and MDM
copy the SAP OCI files (as noted in 1264660) to the /oracle/<SID>/102_64/lib directory also
verify the Oracle environment variables
restart all systems and services (Oracle, MDM, listener)
Of course, your oracle library paths will vary. Check your LD_LIBRARY_PATH for that location.
We also learned that if we set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable to where the
oracle client library files were (client side), things should work. We did try that, but it did
not work. At least, we tried it once and started to test other things (including our solution).
Feel free to try that option and update this thread.
Our solution was to copy those files directly into our server path and try again.
Thanks to everyone who took time to look at this!

• Monitoring 'Messages Received' & 'Sent' on WL console

I'm running a stress test on a WL server 6.1 SP1 deployment.
Monitoring the client to server connections at peak usage, in the WL server console,
I find that the EJB server's default queue shows lopsided numbers:
Messages Received = 4644
Messages Sent = 1219
Messages Sent remains constant after maximum load and increases only towards the
end of the test when load is reduced.
Can someone throw more light on this?? What tuning may be required to improve
this ratio?
The application is doing mostly JDBC calls to the database. Most of the threads
in the execute queue are idle. The average CPU usage on the WL server machine
as well as the DB server is less than 10%.
Thanks in advance.

We'd need some more info before we can suggest how to tune or improve
the performance of your application.
I'd start by running a single client thread. If the performance of that
is not fast enough then start determining where it is spending its time
(eg in WL or in the database etc).
If a single client is fine, start ramping up to more clients until your
performance becomes unacceptable. At that point, I'd start with the
same gaim of recording info (eg cpu usage etc) and measuring times.

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

IMAP account access by itself does not provide for syncing contacts, calendar events, and notes or anything over the air. This is possible with an Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync with the Exchange Server.
If your company email account is an Exchange Account, your company's IT Dept. has enabled IMAP account access for your Exchange account on the Exchange server?
If an Exchange account, the IT Dept. must have ActiveSync enabled for your account on the Exchange Server to create and access the account as an Exchange account which provides Push access for received messages, and over the air syncing for contacts and calendar events with the Exchange Server.

No, the SCOM online UNIX/Linux MP stuff is only for OM 2007 R2. All the latest UNIX/Linux MP(B)s for SCOM 2012 and above come from the link below. There are multiple download msi's so make sure you grab the one for your version of SCOM 2012.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29696
The current release is UR5 but UR6 will be coming out very soon, within the next week or two at the latest.
Note that you can generally install the latest MP(B)s on lower UR versions of SCOM. We try to keep them independent but every once and awhile there are bits that require you to be at a specific UR on SCOM as well. We update the release notes with the details
as needed.
