X-Fi Line In Prob

Hello.
this is my first time posting.
i have a problem with line in,
i hooked up my Playstation 2 ,
it worked great for a long time
but since last night i can only hear left channel
i checked the cables , they are ok
checked the extension cable , works fine
took out the Card , cleaned it
put it in the other Pci slot, same problem
did clean DRV install, same thing
hooked up my mp3 to line in , works in stereo,(checked on slipknot-before i forget.)
left AND right
hooked up my tv audio output to line in works only left channel
how can this be , can anyone help me figure it out
mp3 stereo works but ,ps2 and tv output doesn't

Mic & line in prob on p6n sli fi

Howdy folks. I have been reading the forum for awhile, but this is my 1st post. My specs to start with. I'll put them in my sig later.
p6n sli fi, intel 805, 2x512 wintec pc2-6400, ati x300 vid, antec sp400, wd 160 gig ide hdd, win xp home sp2. bios 2.0(01/31/07).
My prob is the mic in & line in for the onboard sound doesn't work. The speaker out sounds fine. Wouldn't be a prob, but I installed an ati video wonder 200 pvr card & I have to plug the line out from it to a line in on the sound card. I'm sure the audio out on the pvr is ok because I can hear it with headphones plugged into the line out from pvr. I am fairly knowledgeable about comps. I dl'ed the latest drivers from msi. I played with all adjustments in sound manager. Nothing's muted, volume levels checked. Am I overlooking something ? I can try a pci sound card, but would rather use the onboard. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give all the info I could.

Thanks for the response. Sorry for the delay in getting back. I tried drivers from msi & ati. I've shelved the pvr project for awhile. Gonna work on some other things right now.

Audigy 2 ZS under Vista - Line-in prob

I've a problem with my Audigy 2 ZS card running under Windows Vista Ultimate 32bits. I record using the line-in and it records fine but ONLY if I unmute the line-in sound in the speakers setup... and I just want to record it, NOT no hear it. I mean, I have the record level at 00% in the Recording Devices->Analog Mix properties, but it won't record anything unless I also set it to a high level and unmute it in Playback Devices->Speakers properties. I tryied uninstalling the drivers, then removing everything left with Driver Sweeper and the reinstalling them again, but I still have the same problem. Any ideas?
BTW, I already have checked "Record without monitoring" in the Analog Mix->Custom tab, but it only mutes the speaker output when I'm acti'vely recording, before and after that precise moment I can still hear the line-in output. Also using the Microphone device is not an option because the line-in device has a much cleaner (i.e. less noisy) signal.

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Line In Prob

Hi all,
New here and have a problem I'm hoping someone can give me some definiti've advice on.
I'm currently doing some music recording on my PC of some Roland V-Drums and guitars (via a Line 6 Toneport) The V-Drums are Line Level, however when I run them through the Front Line In/Mic In input (Set to Line In), the volume is extrememly low and the resultant sound is very tinny. If I switch to the Mic 2 input via the knob, the levels and sound improve greatly, however it's still not as full as it should be.
The Line 6 Toneport also acts as a Soundcard (via USB) and running the V-Drums through the Toneport Line In gives a great, full, crisp sound, so I know that the V-Drum's output is Line Level and correct. I currently have ZS setup as the sound playback device and the Lineport for everything else. I am running a Mono Patch Cable from the Lineport Phones Out into the Front Line In/Mic In input set to Mic. This lets me carry out my recordings but the sound quality through the PC's speakers (Creative 5.) is average at best.
I'd really like to use the Line In instead of the Mic In as the overall quality of the Line In should be better than the Mic In. I just can't seem to get anything remotely decent out of the Line In input. I've also tried running into the rear Line In with the same result.
I've searched the forum and have noticed that there are a few members with similar Line In issues but there are no answers to any of these problems. Finally, I've updated all of my drivers, etc to the latest and greatest with no change.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Audigy 2 ZS line record prob

Hi
i have just baught an audigy 2 ZS and i have a problem :
i cant record line in if i dont listen to it !!!
In the mixer, i put "mix analogic (line/cd/aux/..)" in record and put the fader to its maximum.
And nothing come in if i dont put the line in fader on !!!
I'd like to record line in without to listen to its sound.
With my old soundblaster there was no problem.
Can you help ?

Well, if you disable the source you're recording from (Line-In), how on earth could it be possible to record from it then?
There is also a setting called "Record Without Monitoring" behind the tiny '+' sign. Have you tried if disabling Monitoring has any effect?

Audigy 2 zs line in prob

Im using a TV tuner and the audio needs to be hooked up to line in on sound card, but when ever I do this it creates a background noise that is very loud.
this noise is on every program I use, ( games, mp3's, windows media, and so on )
as soon as I take the line in out it sounds great.
any ideas?

The noise I get is a background static.
The TV card I'm using is a WinTV-USB Hauppauge ( I know its not very high quality )
The cable is sheided good ( I used the same cable with my all in wonder pro 9700, but thats in a diff. machine now)
I unplugged the line in cable from the win TV but left it in the sound card and was still getting the static.
I'm going to look for a different cable to see if that works.

Audigy ZS Line-In prob

Hi, just a quick problem I need a little help with if possible? I have just basically bought the Audigy ZS Soundcard, here is my problem. I've been hooking up my turntables to my PC via the Line-In port on my Audigy Soundcard to back-up my vinyl. Everything sounds very very good, the sound quality I'm very happy with......except, I've noticed whilst recording, if someone sends me an instant message via MSN, or I open a new folder, the click or MSN sound also gets recorded? This is obviously quite annoying as it means I can't do anything else whilst recording, I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be like this and should only record input coming through the Line-In socket? Please tell me if I'm wrong or how to fix this problem. I was recording earlier, whilst recording I began listening to an Online radio station, then to my horror when I played back my recording, I had my record with radio over the top!!! :-( Any help what-so-ever would be much appreciated. SB Audigy 2 ZS: Line in prob

I've got some problems with that my Line in-port seems to show up as an output source - which makes it quite complicated to use for input. It works when I connect the cable to the Microphone port, but i can't even find the Line in as an input source.. What should I do?

Sound Blaster Live 24bit External (5.1) Mic-In / Line-In prob

Hey, here's my setup:
Virtual DJ Console Edition (3.4. updated)
Hercules MP3 Console
Creative Sound Blaster Li've 24bit external (5. card, using it as a 4. to get FRONT out to speakers and REAR as headphone queue)
I need to broadcast using Shoutcast (the VirtualDJ internal broadcasting plugin wont allow to set up full details that SHOUTcast plugin for Winamp allows you to fill in.... i.e. Yellow pages etc etc)
The problem is basically that when I'm using SHOUTcast for Winamp, it streams both my FRONT and REAR outputs, can't seem to choose for it to stream only FRONT...
Now, I know I can send the FRONT to Line-in (and use a stereo Y splitter to get the sound also to my speakers), but then it seems my Sound Blaster li've disables my Mic-In... seems that it has shared Line-In and Mic-In even though they are separate holes in the box....
so basically wondering if anyones got any suggestions as to how to be able to Broadcast only the FRONT output and use the Microphone... now it seems its either I can't use the Microphone when doing a radio show... or alternati'vely I can't use my headphone queue...
I don't understand why would the card have a separate Line-In and Mic-In, but you can't use the Mic-In if you have something hooked in the Line-In? Could there be some software or driver update I could get to be able to do this? Or am I just having forced to buy something like an M-Audio card thats exactly the same, but doesnt share the Mic and Line-ins but lets you use both at the same time?

IF you mean those third part yASIO drivers they limit to 6 bit recording whic hisn't an issue wuth Acid pro, it's the bandwith and asio offset. DO you ahve a link?

Audigy SE line-in prob

I have just purchased an Audigy SE and am having a problem using Line-in.
I am using a Gigabyte GA-7VAXP motherboard with onboard AC97 audio ( turned off using Bios ). Running Windows XP SP2
When using audio input from the Line-In, in the Surround Mixer all lines are muted except Master Control Volume and Line-In. All works well.
If I turn off the computer, when I reboot there is no audio out via line-in, though audio can be played via WAV input using internal players. There is no signal at the Record volume slider as I cannot record with an alternati've program.
If I un-mute either Microphone or S/PDIF-In, Line-In is automatically muted. ( On un-muting the Microphone input I get loud distorted sound ). If I now un-mute the Line-In it works as normal.
If I 'Restart' rather than 'Turn Off' the computer, audio starts to be heard almost as soon as the initial 'Windows Xp' screen is displayed and considerably before I get 'Windows starting up'

I just bought the Audigy SE and everything went sommothly until I tried using the Line In jack. I get nothing. On board audio is disabled, I removed all sound drivers, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled the Audigy softwar to no avail. Any help would be apreceiated. Sound output is great though. I used the same Line source with the built in audio system and had no problems. It is imperati've that I get this port working, as it playde a huge roll in the tasks I was undertaking. THere is a download patch hat fixes something. It is 55 Mb. I am on a slow dial up connection and it would take me a week or so to grab this file. My Modem is my Cell Phone and the Computer dopes not keep it charged, so I am limited to small chunks fo time after 9:0PM until 6:00AM which are off peak hours so it dowen't cost me. I li've a long way from any town around me abuot 20 miles. Our town has one cell tower and I li've almost 5 miles away from it. I have to use an external antenna just to connect. Help Me!

Macbook will not boot up after running Software Update (Couldn't fix it)

I also have been experiencing some problems after running Software Update (Security update + Java) a couple of days ago. Similarly to Jandaf (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9000023) I have only the gray start up screen + Apple logo + gear wheel constantly rotating. Based on the information provided in this forum I have tried some procedures which didn't solved my problem so far. Below I describe I have tried:
1) I have booted using the installation DVD and run the disk utility. When performing the First Aid/Verify Disk I found some errors ('Invalid node structure'). But I couldn't fix the problem using disk repair (same problem 'Invalid node structure' 'Volume check failed'.
2) I also tried to boot in single user mode (command + s) to run fsck -fy. It didn't work. I got the following message (last 4 lines):

Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleUSBTCKeyboard" has no kernel dependency.

4) I also tried to 'Archieve & Instal'. Again no success. After reading the DVD the action is terminated because some errors (does not specify).
5) I also tried the 'German Medicine' (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8728797#8728797) (i.e. Connect the 'problematic MacBook' to my old G4 via firewire and reinstall the 2009-001 update). Again no success. The G4 cannot mount the MacBook hardrive.
I don't know what to do any more.
A) Can I resuscitate my old system? If yes how?
B) If not, can I at least save the data I have in my old HD?
C) Is it possible to format and reinstall the OS or is this this computer doomed?

Due to my lack of knowledge I can't judge how bad this is. But I can tell you that every time I read the word bad in the log it scares the s*** out me.

How to determine on what segment a point is in

i have line segments that are connected and assuming that i can get the points of the segments, how do i know on what segment the point is in?

Reading data from ms word having problems

Hi,
At present i want to do small application as reading data (name,mail,exp..)from wordpad (resumes) that doesnot having pattern...
i have done that but its taking data if doc having lines with no gap in between lines.
my prob is if there is gap in btw two liines wat we have to do..

Adjust your search pattern to ignore blank lines...

Yeah youtube can be a pain, helpfull but it seems like digging a trench trying to find a certain tutorial, but I just remembered dealing with this same issue with my friend. He got a laptop given to him and it had the bios password on it as well, I pulled out the cmos battery and let it sit for 24 hours then reinstalled it and it worked. Who knows you might have the same results and if you need it up and runnin sooner than that download that software I mentioned it has a bios password cracker on it plus it has "Mini XP" which you can access from the boot options menu and that will get you back on line no prob. Anyway I hope you get it resolved soon and someones advise here points you in the right direction, good luck.

In your case everything is somehow complicated. ;)
Enter BIOS settings, check if ODD and HDD are detected and listed properly. Set BIOS to default settings and after restart press F12. When boot menu is shown on the screen put recovery disc 1 into ODD, choose CD/DVD drive in the menu and press ENTER.
Is there some ODD reaction? Does ODD try to read the disc? If yes but nothing happen try to clean ODD lens and check if the discs are OK. Test it also with some other bootable disc. It will be interesting to know if the ODD is able to read the disc or not.
You must also find out if the HDD will be properly recognized by Windows setup. Try to obtain original Microsoft Windows installation disc and try to check this.
Make please some tests and post the feedback please.

Problem with SAPscript
I have A problem with PO pronting form. In the PO craetion(me23n), IF we mention certain text in last line item the PO printing form is behaving uncertanly.
If the text limit to a particular line is mentioned , then PO printing in only first Page and otherpage is not printing where further data is supposed to print.
If we exceed the limt , its again printing correctly in 2 pages with all the data. If we decrese the limit aslo printing fine.
My problem is , I could not understand exactly where the problem is coming. while debugging Befor the text apperas in form I have an inlcue like this form.
INCLUDE &T166P-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166P-TDOBJECT& ID &T166P-TDID& LANGUAGE &EKKO-SPRAS& PARAGRAPH IX.
IS the prob exist here?
Please help me out?

Hi,
Header Long texts will be different from Line items long text, i think you are passing the long text for line items, so check how the long text is coming in debugger of the sapscript for each line item.
Look at the Text Element ITEM_TEXT in the Main window of the sapscript. It has the INCLUDE which holds the text you are talking.
