X-fi not working after an upd

At start up i get these

My i/o box is not working either

Uninstall everything creative starting with console launcher, then apps, then soundblaster stuff via programs and features.
Then go into device manager and select the xfi device, properties and uninstall the drivers.
Then go into the registry and under HKLM/software delete the creative tech key.
Then reboot into safe mode. Don't let it install the driver for the "new device" select "later"
Then open command window. Type "set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=" enter. Then "devmgmt.msc" enter. Select "show hidden devices". Then go into non-plug and play devices. Delete the following: creative 20x hal driver, creative os services driver, creative proxy driver, creative soundfont management device driver, ct20xut.dll, ctaudfx.dll, cteapsfx.dll, ctedspfx.dll, ctedspio.dll, ctedspsy.dll, cterfxfx.dll, ctexfifx.dll, cthwiut.dll, ctsblfx.dll, e-mu plug-in architecture driver. Or all of these that you have. You will be prompted to reboot after each. Choose later. Once you've deleted them all reboot again into safe mode. Again select "later" if prompted to install drivers.
Run driver sweeper or driver cleaner, or both if you want.
Now go into C:\windows\system32. Add a filter selection for "company". Delete all creative files. There are 5 or 6 of them.
Now repeat for C:\windows\SysWow64.
Reboot into vista (normal). Select later if prompted to install a driver. Now you are totally rid of anything creative!
Install the latest x-fi driver from the website. Reboot.
Then install any other apps off the creative website that might be newer than those on the cd.
Then install the desired apps off the cd. Reboot.
Uninstall the automatic update via "programs and features".
You should be back in business.

5.1 not working after driver upd

Ok, let me just inform you all of what the problem is, and how it came to be.
I bought GTA: SA yesterday, I have that small crackling sound every so often, not really annoying (Not really, but still slightly), but certain sounds are almost inaudiable (Which I found irritating). So, today I thought about updating my drivers, see if that would help. I tried to find out my version with little sucecss, then I went to: Contol Panel --> Sound and Audio Devices ---> Hardware ---> Creative SB Audigy 2VS (WDM) ---> Properties ---> Driver ---> Update Driver, selected Auto install, it found two, one said "Already installed" when I clicked on it, the other, looked the exact same, but it didn't say "Already installed", so I just installed that one, restarted, then on my 5. speakers, the subwoofer is no longer working, my centre speaker isn't working and neither is my right speaker.
I tested my speakers via the THX Setup Console, and I heard nothing from the centre (I cannot remember if it was that one alone at that time), so I got worried, and clicked "Roll Back Driver" and restarted.
After I restarted, I tested again, I'm not sure if it "Got worse" or was it already like that. I heard a sound coming from the subwoofer, when it got to my forward-right speaker which was really really strange. And nothing from the centre, or subwoofer. It seems to be acting like a 4 speaker system or something...
I wondered did the Roll Back work? So, I did it again, no change. Then I tried it again, and it said I couldn't Roll Back anymore. So I clicked "Update" and it's telling me it's up-to-date, no new drivers needed etc...
Now, I'm here, begging (Literally) for help.
I know the speakers are plugged in properly, I've had the computer since February and I have not messed with them since... Anytime today, which is when I noticed the difference. I checked was it set on 5. in Audio Devices etc... in Control Panel, and it was. Whenever I came accross any speaker "Selection" or whatnot, it was on 5.. So, that's why I'm thinking in the area of drivers (As I did update them and got the problem), or maybe some setting I overlooked.
If it was a power/connection problem, then I wouldn't be able to turn it on, as my centre speaker controls that, and it has a seperate connection into the subwoofer.
I am out of ideas, and in need of help.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, and I hope to God I can get this working again.
And please, I would appreciate if this topic doesn't "die", and for a quick response.

Edit: I forgot to mention, before clicking "Roll Back" for a second time, I tried a System Restore, but my nearest point was yesterday, before installing GTA: SA. No change.
I am not very good in this area, it was not smart of me to go messing about with drivers, but when I found I could just click a button and it'd find one for me, I thought it wouldn't screw up like this...
I'm not sure if reinstalling the drivers would help, and if they would, after looking over how to do it, with my lack of "Expertise" in this area, I would be very nervous about doing so, I feel I might make it worse if I do. But if I am pointed in that direction, I will give it a go, I just wanted to see if there was any other way I could fix it first. Thanks again.Message Edited by scrood on 06-25-2005 04:46 AM

Hi, solved the problem. I also noticed that when isntalling itunes, quicktime never installed. So i installed quicktime manually and thats when the problems started. I mangaed to solve the problem by deleteing every trace of quicktime, and installing quicktime 6, then reinstalling quicktime7. Problem solved.

Tecra M7: Tablet does not work after lid closing

Has anyone had problems with the tablet not working after closing the lid on a Tecra M7? Bios is 3.20
Doesn't seem to happen on hibernate or sleep.
I have the lid set to do nothing on close.

What do you mean with tablet not working after closing the lid?
Does the notebook freezes or what?? What happens exactly???
The close the lid settings can be set to hibernation mode or standby mode or no action.
These settings can be set in the power saver setup actions.
If you have some problems with some installed Toshiba applications I would recommend reinstalling the TOSHIBA Common Modules and the program which doesnt run correctly!

I have exactly the same issue as everyone above. I only get sound through the slider on the ringtone in settings and through my headphones. I do not get any sound anywhere else at all.
I Have tried:
- Updating to iOS 6.1.3
-re starting the device
-checking that the device is not muted. My slider switch is set to mute rather than lock and is unmuted.
-going into general settings and reset all settings
-the device reset several times (waiting until I saw the all important apple logo)
-removing the last few apps I installed.
Nothing at all has worked, please help!

It seems that settings of mail accounts have something to do with it. I've delete my gmail account and am now using Microsoft Exchange. It seems better, yet not perfect. The issue is definitely due to OS 4.3.1
Apple answer is - no answer. It is a shame that the quality of their products, in terms of design and concept, is not match by a care for customers. It is not normal that I, as a customer, have to spend hours reading Apple Discussions forum to try to understand what the problem is. Still having the same problem. It appears to be a problem with City ID. Local Verizon office told me it could be uninstalled. I can't seem to find out how to uninstall an application that has the uninstall button "greyed out". After forcing stop the application, it turns itself back on after every call. When that happens I lose the city the call is coming from, but I still get the number showing. Other times I don't receive anything. I NEVER know who's calling me and it's getting annoying. Hell, with AT&T, I knew who was calling me....just couldn't stay connected. Now if I miss a call..I don't have any clue as to who to call back.
Get this City ID crap app off my phone....that's all I want...it's not too much to ask....please...!

ODI Procedures not working after upgrading from 10G to 11G

Hello Gurus,
We have run into a scenario where the procedures in ODI are not working after we upgraded it from 10G to 11G (11.1.1.6). However we can make it to run if we create the procedure from scratch.
Also we are having issues related to packages where in the packages were running before we applied the patch 11.1.1.6.3. And after applying the patches they are not running.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded OnyX and ran the cleaning function. After restarting, I opened Help and once again the first screen appeared fine. But again most of the links did not work, though those under the "What's New" heading did work. I might add that I had previously tried a variety of suggestions posted in another thread, which included deleting from the caches folder in Home>Library several files such as com.apple.helpui and help.plist in the Preferences folder. (As noted in my previous post this evening, I also created another user but that also did not have any effect.) Any other ideas? Thanks

Ok, I had the same issue, my phone is unlocked(iphone 5 with 6.1.3). So I went to the apple store and had it replaced. it worked good for a day and started doing the same thing. When the apple tech replaced my phone, he transfered my screen protector to the new one.
so I thought it was my sim card, I put in my sisters sim card from a different carrier and it did the same, so then I was like let me take off the screen protector, and that was it.
so guys, if you have a screen protector on your phone and it's doing "low signal", "No Service", "Searching", "Full bars cycle" then take off the screen protector. so far my phone is working normal.
