X-fi softwear does't recongnize my sound c

Today I took my network card out and put it back in. I also put my new xfi xtreme music in too. When I tried to install the driver/software for my network card and my xfi card, it wouldnt work. I've formatted 4 times already. I disable onboard sound in bios. WIndows recongnizes the cards but wont update the driver. I dont know what is wrong.

My post was not directed at you but the originator of the thread. Leave the sarcasm at home. In terms of troubleshooting this issue, I did happen to have an issue with only my left channel of my sound acti've with the right channel of my sound system silent. I checked all my connections and no joy. What I did to rectify it was to start my X-Fi Audio Console located in the Control Panel and then I selected Restore Defaults (making sure that all Modes and Soundfont is selected). That little exercise did the trick and my right and left channel now function fine.
It worked for me and it might work for him - rather then the lame advice of seeking legal action - perhaps your time could be better spent getting to know how a computer works instead of inciting angst and anger in other users. Get professional help, not legal help.

I don't have sound anymore either. The mute button is in the correct position, the sounds are all on and the volume is all the way up. iTunes plays but I only get vibrations when a call or text comes through. I tried resetting but it did not solve the problem.

Don't know. You can turn system sounds OFF in your control panel. XP it's under Sounds, Vista, 7 & 8 it's under Hardware and Sound.
Click Change system sounds
Select "No Sounds" to disable all windows interface sounds.
Click Apply and OK

If you are not hearing sound from your computer, take a look at the troubleshooting steps below. Is this only happening in iTunes? Are you able to hear system sounds (alerts, etc.)?

Are you asking if the phone logs when someone mutes it? No, I don't believe so. Or, are you asking if audio recording apps still record when the phone is muted? Why don't you use the included VoiceMemo app and test it?

Help!!! Installed Sound Card driver does not support Direct Sound input

I have just installed Premier Pro CS3 on a brand new PC. I am a new user and I am receiving a message "The installed sound card driver does not support direct sound input".
PC is a 3 GHZ Intel Duo
4 G RAM
2 x 500 G HD
Windows Home Vista Preminum
I am sure it is a simple fix and really appreciate any one given me the time or guidance to help get me started.

Sound Card is a "Realtek High Definition Audio"
Driver Version 6.0.1.5408
It was shipped with this Dell PC.
I checked the driver was up to date etc. So not sure what to do now.

Logitech camera does not appear in sound control panel

I have a Logitech webcam. Both audio and sound worked well until yesterday. Now the audio does not work (Video is fine) ando does not appear in sound control panel. I've tried the webcam in other mac and works fine.
I'm running Lion 10.7.5 on a Mac Pro mid 2007.
Any idea?

Restart the Mac.
If that does not work I would also try a PRAM reset.
Shut down the computer.
Restart it holding down Apple/CMD ( or ⌘)+ALT( ⌥)+P+R Keys until you have heard three Start Up Bongs.

First time use of camera does not make a sound but use again then shutter sound can be heard

It IS in fact "New" as it started a couple of days ago - AND - something indeed has changed = "... updated to iOS 8.1" - BUT - a little unclear about the context of "... when (f)irst released all ok" part? are these two separate statements? "... updated to iOS 8.1 when it [was] first released" and "all was OK prior that point" and then started misbehaving right after the update? - OR are you saying that when "updated to iOS 8.1 [WHEN IT WAS] first released, all was OK - as in the shutter-snap sound worked fine and THEN suddenly began misbehaving"
In these forums, it may be to your advantage to try not using IDevice 'texting' practice of being brief... in here, MORE is more better.
If the update was the beginning of the issue, that may be added to the list of strange things that happen to some and not to others.
I would suggest a visit to the Genius Bar if one is nearby, but older iPhone may only get you so far if you don't stick by your claim that "everything was fine until I updated my iOS 8 version"

What does the "add more sounds" in app purchase cost in GarageBand?

I ask because there is no indication of the cost when Apple asks for my ID and Password. In IOS completing that would mean I own it.

I understand that you do not hear sound from Safari on your computer but you do hear sound in other applications. There may be several troubleshooting steps I would suggest to troubleshoot this situation.

There's a little button by the volume rocker switch that's a dual purpose button. It's an all mute or a rotation lock. Could you have flipped that button by mistake?

Check the Mute switch, which is on the left side of the phone above the volume buttons.

Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode.
