After 4 months?I've come to the conclusion that no matter how many emails I send or phone calls I make, creative will not?sell or give?me an AD Link cable...
So, made one myself - finally.
Parts:
26-Pin High Density D-Sub Plug w/ solder bucket pins
26-Wire 24AWG?shielded cable
5-Way D-Sub Plastic Shell
<img alt="" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/DDY/DSC05846.jpg">
The cable is very simple, Pin goes to Pin , Pin 2 - Pin 2 etc.
I haven't tested every feature yet but headphone out, knobs and remote work fine.
Took me a good hour to solder both ends...

  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Ad_link Cable

    Hi,? I have the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro and my Ad_Link cable has been damaged. I have contacted every on line auction house and everyone in and out of the United States and no one has this cable available. What I am looking for now is one of 2 things;? the specs of this cable (which is not listed in any of the documentation that came with the product, nor is it on the web-site, nor does Customer Support seem to have this information), or a comparable cable that will work in it's place.
    Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.
    A very frustrated,

  • Anyone have a spare microphone cable for ibook G3 12 inch

    Anyone have a spare microphone cable for ibook G3 12 inch? I pulled the wire from the connector when replacing my logic board.

    Don't have a spare one lying around, but We Love Macs has a new one for sale:

    PowerBook Tech parts out non-working iBooks. Although the microphone cable isn't a part he lists, Daniel may have one available for not much money if you e-mail him at the address listed on his home page.
    Good luck.

  • AD_Link Cable for Platinum Ex C

    I think my cable is damaged and want to purchase a new one.
    The cable is described as an AD_Link cable in the documentation but I can't locate it on various retail sites when looking for the cable.
    The cable consists of two leads just joined together. One is a standard firewire connector but I'm not sure what the technical name is for the other cable. Does anyone know?
    I know I can purchase a firewire cable from a retail outlet, will I be able to get hold of the other type aswell and what is it's name?
    Thanks for any help!!

    Your support page says that the customer support number for my region can be found in my owner's manual. The problem with that is my manual is whereever my AD_Link cable is - lost. What number should I call? I am located in Mississippi, USA.Mike

  • AD_link cable for SB0460(Extreme Music)

    Does anyone know how I can get a replacement for the AD_link cable so I can connect the card to the I/O console(as used with the Elite Pro)?
    If from Creative then where do I ask?
    Thanks

    This cable is the same as an old style 40 pin IDE cable. These are cheap and can be purchased at WalMart or Radio Shack, or any PC used parts store. Just look at the cable and you should see all 40 holes on the cable open. Then look on the back of the I/O dri've and there you will see a small triangle that will indicated where the "pink" side of the ribbon cable should attach to. On the sound card itself you will see the same triangle where you can match the pink edge of the cable. This will not work with the ATA 66/00/33 cables as some of those pins are blocked.

  • Spare power cable for powermac g4

    i have a power mac g4 where do i get a spare power cable and how much would it cost also what version of osx can it run ?

    If you don't know the model, find the Serial# & use t on one of these sites...

    Tiger Requirements...
    To use Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, your Macintosh needs:
        * A PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor
        * Built-in FireWire
        * At least 256 MB of RAM (I recommend 1GB minimum)
        * DVD drive (DVD-ROM), Combo (CD-RW/DVD-ROM) or SuperDrive (DVD-R) for installation
        * At least 3 GB of free disk space; 4 GB if you install the XCode 2 Developer Tools  (I recommend 20GB minimum)

    Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
        *  Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
    minimum system requirements
        * 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
    You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it! Helps to tell them you have an iPad/iPhone & you can't run 10.6.
    There are workarounds if the 867MHz is the only hangup...

  • HT5622 Spare charging cable and plug no longer recognised by my iphone5

    Since upgrading my iPhone 5 to IOS 7 my spare charging cable and plug have ceased to be recognised/work. Whilst they are not Apple products, they were not cheap and we're sold by large reputable supermarket as leads/charger for Apple Iphone5  - is this related to the new software?  I have the charger supplied with my phone which still works ok, but I like to keep a spare at work and it's puzzling that it worked fine up until I ran the upgrade.  Anyone else have similar experience?

    Start by doing a reset and if required a restore first with back up and then as new
    if still issues then the 3rd party items must be suspect .I have seen somewhere that iOS 7 can determine
    unlicenced cables esp as you are using lightning which is subject to licences

  • Creative Inspire 5700 Digital spare DIN cable

    Hi,
    im in the UK.
    i've had the above speakers for a while now, but the 9 pin DIN(Female To Female) from the back of the amp module to the soundcard module has broken and im trying to get a replacement.

    Hi there, im wanting the same cable but finding it hard to track down.
    Just to add, i need a 9 pin - 9 pin din to connect my creative 6.1 setup to an an external usb audigy 2 VE. Hopefully this would mean no need for the wired remote that connects to the 6.1 speakers? Can anyone confirm this?

  • Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro- Breakout Box/ AD_LINK Cable Broke

    I purchased an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro from Creative's eBay store this past January. It was described as refurbished with a -year warranty. It worked fine for several months under both Windows XP 64-bit and Linux (amd64 arch). Then, the breakout box just stopped working. At first I thought it was a driver issue, so I tried reinstalling everything- no luck. Then I realized that not even the power light came on on the box. I tried putting the card in another PCI slot, rearranging cables.
    I contacted Creative several months ago and after several email arguments and hour-long phone calls, I gave up. They insisted that they only offer 90-day warranties for their ebay auctions... Being so much later, the ebay auction link was dead- no way for me to prove anything. Creative's best offer was to RMA it for $0+shipping or something ridiculous like that.
    I don't want to buy a whole new card because I now it works to some extent- it shows up under 'lspci' in Linux and in Windows Device manager. I suspect it is either the cable or the breakout box but I really have no idea.
    Any way I could test this- and even if, how can I purchase just the box or the cable by themselves- I couldn't find anything online.
    Any ideas?Message Edited by phoneloserchi on 2-22-20072:28 PM

    No, I'm afraid it is not, the X-Fi does not have the same connector for that breakout box.

    cpu,
    It would be best to contact our Customer Support directly, to see if they can supply you with this cable. It's very unlikely any stores would get them in especially.

  • Spare USB Cable For WOW Headset

    Does anyone if I can buy a replacement cable for the WOW headset (the wired one) as i snapped the mini usb jack on mine.
    I tried plugging in a few I had around the house and even a couple I bought from the store but the plastic housing on the mini-usb endpoints are all too "fat" and won't get fully past the plastic moulding on the headset and so they keep falling out.
    is it possible to buy a replacement cable from creative, or does anyone know where i can pick one up with a "thin" housing and preferably a cloth anti-tangle cable as well

    Try to get in touch with customer support and see if they could help you. If I'm not wrong, for the wireless one, you can purchase the USB transmitter separately but I don't know about the USB model if you can get just the USB cable.

  • I am trying to setup airport express. do i have to have it connected to an ethernet cable? i want to connect it wirelessly

    i am trying to setup an airport express wirelessly. can this be done or do i have to have an ethernet cable pluged into it?

    You can set up the Express using AirPort Utility and wireless only, but you must first log on to the default network that the Expess provides.....Apple Network xxxxxx....and then open AirPort Utility.
    No password is required.
    For most users, the Ethernet cable method is simpler....if you have a spare Ethernet cable handy.
