X-Fi Titanium supports Digital DIN connector from DTT35

Hi,
I'm looking for a new soundcard, and preferably one that works with my existing DTT3500 5. speakerset, which only has digital din, and no analogue inputs.
- Does the new X-Fi Titanium cards work with a Digital DIN connector from my DTT3500 speaker set?
- And if it does, does it carry 5. over Digital DIN or is it crippled to 2.
regards,
MrSnake

> Hi, I need the same information.
I have a new PC, and I would like to buy a new Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium card.
But it is necessary that I'm able to connect the sound card to the DTT3500 speaker via Digital DIN cable (to have always 5. sound).
Someone could confirm this?
Thanks

  • FPS2000 w/ Audigy2 zs: Where to buy 1/8 male mini to 9 pin male digital din

I bought my FPS2000 Digital speaker system a few years ago and was not able to use the digital din connection because my Soundblaster sound card at the time did not have a digital out. Somewhere I lost my digital din connector. I now have the Audigy 2 zs and am looking to buy a digital din connector to hook up my speaker system. The only problem is the male mini /8 in to male digital din is the most impossible part to find. Is there anybody that knows a retailer or online store that has one to buy? Thanks

Ah, I have just found the cable here :-

Unfortunately this is only in the US shop (who don't ship abroad) so I guess we Europeans will have to make do with some old string and hope for the best...

  • DTT2500's digital DIN with S-VIDEO

I currently own the DTT2500 5.1 speakers and would like to connect these to my Dell Inspiron 9300 notebook. The notebook mentions that there is an S-VIDEO connector in the back that you can get an adapter to connect to to allow you to connect the speakers via S/PDIF. What I was wondering is if I could use the digital DIN connector that came with these speakers to plug in directly to the S-VIDEO connector on the notebook.

No, they're different connections, a digital DIN can only be connected to either a straight digital DIN connection, or an adapter cable that has the DIN connection.

  • Converting analog 5.1 (multiple cables) to Digital DIN (for Inspire 5700), how?

    Hi,
So far I've been using my Inspire 5.1 Digital 5700 speaker system together with my Audigy Platinum in my Desktop PC to watch DVDs and play games with a 5.1 experience. To connect soundcard and Speaker system, I used the provided Digital DIN cable, and it worked fantastically, for both, DVDs and games.
Now I bought a notebook and the only choice to improve onboard sound was the X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook. I thought that I could simply connect it to my Inspire 5700 by connecting optical out with optical in using a TosLink-Mini -> Toslink cable. While this may work for DVDs (I don't have the cable yet), it won't work for all other applications, because as I read optical connections only provide a stereo signal unless the signal it'ss encoded via AC3 or DTS.
Of course there is the docking module which provides multichannel analog out. Trouble here: the Inspire 5700 only comes with two analog line in channels, front and rear. So that would lead to 4.0 instead of 5.1. Missing the center speaker for games is very bad.
Therefore I am looking for a way to convert the analog signal coming from the docking module into something that can be decoded as a 5.1 signal by the Inspire 5700. I have already found the DTS-610 which would turn the analog signal into a DTS signal. But that costs more than the soundcard itself.
So, my question: Is there any simpler / cheaper way how to transform multicable analog 5.1 to one-cable digital 5.1, either AC3, DTS or Digital DIN? I'd prefer a simple converter to Digital DIN, because that's what the Inspire 5700 was mainly designed for and it worked perfectly with my old Audigy.
Alternatively, one could possibly also use some fancy software to convert all the wave-out sound into AC3 or DTS and send it along the optical cable. But I don?t know any such software plus I expect this to drain a lot of processor power.
Any help is greatly appreciated it'ss kind of frustrating that two products of the same company can't be connected with each other, just because neither, the card nor the docking module provide Digital DIN.
Thank you very much and best regards

P.S. in another post, pjc said: You will probably require a 4-pole mini-jack > DIN converter to connect your Creative speakers to this socket.
That's exactly what I'm looking for, but I couldn't find such a converter on the creative homepage.

I believe the DIN for soundcard are mainly built and solely used by Creative. I don't think there is any 3rd-party converter in the market to do DIN. There is a software here posted by some other users that can do AC3 encoding on the fly. Not too sure where's the post now but you can do a search for it.

  • Does the Audigy SE support digital input?

) I have an Audigy SE and I was wondering if it supported digital input. I was looking around the recording devices on my computer and I noticed that it said S/PDIF-In on my SB Audigy. I'm planning on connecting my ps3 to to it using optical so I can use my PC speakers without having to constantly switch from PC to ps3 but of course thats only if the audigy se does support digital input.

Yes it does... but you'll need to purchase a separate Digital I/O module for Digital In (visit creative's site for more details).
    Note:
If you make use of the Digital I/O module you'll lose your mic/line-in jack

  • Inspire 5700 Digital DIN Cable

    Hi! :smileyvery-happy:
I have unfortunately broken my (9 Pin?) Digital DIN cable. I have been unable to find a cable that could replace my old one. I have had a lot of problems with my cable (no sound/noise etc.). I think those problems have occured because of the fact, that there has been some sort of loose connection.
This cable is my only way to enjoy the full 5.1 audio from my computer, for now I'm only using 4.1 through the analog cables.
I hope that it's possible to bye og replace my old cable...

Hi there, im wanting the same cable but finding it hard to track down.
Just to add, i need a 9 pin - 9 pin din to connect my creative 6.1 setup to an an external usb audigy 2 VE. Hopefully this would mean no need for the wired remote that connects to the 6.1 speakers? Can anyone confirm this?
    Cheers, i'll keep looking.

  • Stereo instead of 5.1 over digital din

& I have a X-fi fatality platinum hooked up to a dtt3500 speaker set over digital din. I just installed Win7 64 bit and creative drivers 2.8.003.
When I attempt to do the windows 5. speaker test to make sure the sound is coming from the appropriate speakers, all the sounds come from the left and right speakers rather than all 5 (plus sub) speakers. This setup used to work fine in windows XP, why does it no longer work now?

I have read through all of the FAQ, and Kbase articles there seens to be no answer and similar threads seem to be ignored, possibly because the answer is too obvious to someone, but not to me.
    I have
-completely wiped and formatted the hard dri've and reinstalled everything from scratch.
-all the new updates for the sound card and for the videocard.
After some troubleshooting I start thinking that the problem is either in the card or my software (WinDVD) both however are latest versions.
When the audio is set to output hrough SPDIF I sometimes am able to get 5. (tested by isolating rear speakers) however that results in picture jumping from fast to slow.
Even if I may have missed a necessary FAQ please direct me to it!
    ANY ADVICE PLEASE!

  • Operations supported by CMIS connector

I was wondering what all operations defined by CMIS, are supported by CMIS connector that comes with Drive 2.1 esp. from Windows Explorer. When I right click in Windows Explorer, the Drive context menu gives only these options - Check out, Check in, Cancel check out, Show versions and Connect to. But the tech note for CMIS connector says that we can even rename a folder, create a new folder (and a few more operations) by selecting options in context menu. I believe those are not certainly the options provided by Windows but should be somewhere in Drive menu.
    Some clarification would help greatly.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
You want to use Adobe Drive + CMIS Connector to test your CMIS server, right? Because the operations in Adobe Drive, for example, rename operation in the context menu can uses serveral CMIS services, like getObject, moveObject, updateProperties, etc, you have to know exactly the CMIS services used by Adobe Drive for each operation.
    Thanks,

Does Aperture support Images and videos from the new 3D cameras?

If the camera is listed here OS X Lion: Supported digital camera RAW formats or here Mac OS X v10.6: Supported digital camera RAW formats then the raw image file is supported by Aperture.
If the camera is not listed then as Keith wrote if it produces JPG's they can be imported into Aperture.
If you told us what camera you were interested in it might help.

  • Creative Audigy 2 ZS digital OUT connector compatibility with Bose Lifesytle Series

    Hi all,
I am a SoundBlaster fan and have been using their SB cards for a long time.
I recently got a new SoundBlaster 2 ZS Card from my friend, I hooked it up to a 5. Logitech Speakers (analog), it works fine.
I tried connecting it to my Bose LifeStyle (35) Series II system.
I bought a Phono plug to /8" Mono Plug Cable and connected the Digital Out (of Audigy) to the Coax digital-In of Bose System.
    There's no sound.
    I tried many combinations like,
    SPDIF passthru,
    Changing Sampling Rate
    Re-installing the Drivers
I know well that the BOSE system works fine, as I am using the Digital Coax connector to connect to my DVD Player and I also connect it to the SPDIF connector on the ASUS System (onboard 5. audio). I have'nt faced any problems there.
The only difference between the DVD Player / ASUS system and Audigy is the the first two use a standard SPDIF while Audigy does not.
I am wondering if this connector difference is a problem or is it a compatibility issue between Bose Lifestyle 35 and Audigy 2ZS.
I am posting this to see if anyone had similar experience, or have any suggestions.
    Thanks
    Bobby

  • Dtt 3500 - Can't choose Dolby Digital DIN / PCM Audio

    Hey all,
I've had a DTT 3500 for quite some time now and I was always very satisfied with this surround system.
I recently bought a new 7.1 System for my computer and now use the DTT 3500 along with my videobeamer to play Playstation 2 and XBox games... the soundoutput from these devices works perfect.
    My problem is as follows:
I would like to use my DTT 3500 from my computer too, I hooked the DTT 3500 up to my Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS soundcard with the "digital cable" that came with the DTT 3500. I then choose 5.1 speakers and "Digital Output Only"... but I don't hear any sound coming from the DTT 3500.
According to the manual I have to choose "Dolby Digital DIN / PCM Audio". When I try button with which one would accomplish that, I fail as I can only select Optical and Coaxial... I never get a "green light" next to "Dolby Digital DIN / PCM Audio".
Does anybody have the same problem?
The Audigy 2 ZS works wonderful with my 7.1 system and if I uncheck "Digital Output Only" I hear sound, all no problem... also, if I use an AC3 source (eg. XBox 360) I hear sound from the DTT 3500... I just have a problem hooking it up via digital output from my PC with Audigy 2 ZS...
Please help, this is driving me nuts! (And I tried to get it to work all sunday long... )
    Cheers
    Onkl

    onkl0r,
Try disconnecting and then reconnect the DIN cable again. The speaker will need to detect a DIN connection first before the DIN option is selectable on the speaker end.

  • SPA2002: supports digital DECT phones?

I have my cordless analog phone connected to the Linksys telephone adapter for VOIP and hear a lot of static. One possible solution would be to switch to digital phone for spread-spectrum capability. Does the SPA2002 (and other) adapter support digital phones or is it strictly an analog to digital device?
Any thoughts on the hissing or static? I have moved the IP gateway router away from interference sources.

  • Digital Din(please lo

    Hi all, may be a silly question but;
Does X-Fi Platinum has "digital din" connection for my Inspire 5700 Digital?
(5700 has a dolby digital or dts decoder. But PC games don't support those formats. And my speakers can't be connected to x-fi cards via analog. The only way of getting surround sound when playing games is digital din connection.)

Wrong. The digital DIN is not avaible on the X-Fi line of soundcards (with any adaptor). It is working only on the old Audigy/Audigy2 series. The flexy jack is another problem - of the X-Fi Music cards.
Oh sorry for that. i just guested because of the Feature list.
