X-FI Titanium + Win 7 64 / No AutoUpdate

Hi,
I've installed Windows 7 64bit, then the CD which came with X-FI Titanium PCI-E card?and then run Autoupdate. I receive the message that no Creative products were detected. I've tryed all advices found on this forum run in compatibility with Vista SP, run as admin, but no luck.
Is there a CD for Titanium PCI-E for Windows 7 ? Or it's only that one which I also had which was initialy intended for Vista ?

Thanks for fast reply. I'll try this soon when I'll get home.
And to?conclude how it's best to install drivers to avoid any issues.
Install Windows 7 64bit.
Install drivers CD which came with Titanium. (even if the CD was intended for Windows Vista)
Install manually driver?update 2.7.0007 from the web.
Install manually Console launcher from the web.
Is this correct ? Even if the cd which came with the card is intended for Vista ? Is there a CD for Windows 7 in newer card releases ?

Ok - sound dissapeared yesterday, replaced by some silly High Definition Audio Device driver that doesn't work that well at all. Sound driver pack 2.7 and the latest Beta can't find the card. Tried compatibility mode and tried running as Administrator - no joy. Even tried rolling back a week in case it was a windows update that was the problem, and still no luck. Moved the card to another PCI-E slot - still no luck.
I don't care if it's creative or MS - this is poor - I just spent over a grand upgrading a gaming system I built for 3 grand 2 years ago and this isn't meeting my expectations. Card has worked in the previous rig well (apart from a few shoddy driver releases) and in the new rig it's been working fine for about 2 months until last week. Only system changes have been installing Resident Evil 5, Ghostbusters, L4D2, the new version of VLC and yesterday the latest NVidia driver - unconfirmed if the sound was working before that or not, but the microphone dropped off about a week prior.
For the time being i'm running back to onboard sound (yuk) awaiting direction, but i've been through the posts of the many people who have had the same problems and while running as administrator has worked for some of them - I note that as for myself, it hasn't worked for all of them.
Card unable to be detected via driver installer, auto-updater (admin, compat or otherwise - even the AutoUpdateA file)

-Re: Win 7 64 bit and SB Titanium X-FI Drivers? Sorry - no go - uninstalled the Creative apps and drivers again, uninstalled the MS High Definition Audio Device however it won't let me remove it's driver files (assuming as it's a nati've driver). Every time I uninstall it it wants to restart, every time I restart it's back again immediately. If I uninstall and don't restart, or even if I do, there's NO change to the MS Windows Update results even when forcing a recheck. I'm really stuck.
If I try to li've with the MS HDAD driver with the Li've Titanium in the PC, if I plug anything into the front, to doesn't detect it's there - if I place anything in the back same again. If I remove the headphones it seems ready to accept something? . It's all back to front.
The only time I could get the MS HDAD driver to do anything was with the onboard sound device turned on and the Titanium X-FI removed. Please note that no driver other than the MS HDAD has been loaded on the system for the onboard sound and it is definately turned off at this stage and during testing the X-FI.
I'm going to have a play in Safe Mode, but currently all roads lead to fail.

  • No Wave Recording in Win 7 32 bit (Titanium)

,No Wave Recording in Win 7 32 bit (Titanium)p Noticed this in Vista too long ago. But presently:
Titanium PCI-E. Latest downloads in Win 7 32-bit.
WhatUHear and Wave were 2 distinct recording choices in XP. Now there is only WhatUHear.
Unfortunately it records all enhancements (EQ, Crystalizer, 3D), which then are doubled on playback.
What happened to plain old Wave, which recorded what was playing on your PC without recording the enhancements you use for the sound to the speakers or headphones?
    Will this be returned shortly?
I don't want to have to dual-boot to XP to record things.
I run in Entertainment mode but tried the Audio Creation mode to see if Wave was there. Though there is a Wave section, Wave isn't there.
Microsoft says it's the Creative drivers.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Win 7 Home Premium with X-Fi Titanium - What Should I be Seeing in Device Manager Under Sound...

[Just changed configurations. Went to a single graphics card and moved my X-Fi Titanium Pro to a now open slot well away from the new graphics board. New graphics drivers went in smoothly and show up correctly in Device Manager. The audio seems to be working but it looks like Win 7 installed a bunch of generic "High Definition Audio Device" drivers in addition to a single driver for "Creative SB X-Fi". So what I have now is the one X-Fi driver and four "High Definition Audio Device" driver entries. This appears to be different compared to the Device Manager entries that existed before I changed slots.
Anyone know what I should be seeing? If this is wrong what's my best course of action? Uninstall all the Creative stuff and then reinstall?
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

    Hi there!
It seems to me that you didn't disable your onboard audio device on the BIOS.. The other high definition audio device can be the HDMI devices for your videocards...
But, if there's a X-FI among the audio devices, it should be working properly. It's the only device the X-Fi presents on device manager...
So, check if your onboard sound card can be disabled via BIOS, and the try deleting the other devices in device manager and restarting the PC. If the X-Fi is being detected more than one time, it will solve the problem!
    Tell if it works!

  • Does Win XP 64 bit work well with X-Fi Titanium?

I'm currently using Win XP Pro (32-bit) and I'm thinking of building a new Windows XP 64-bit system.
are there any known problem with Windows XP 64-bit working with a X-Fi Titanium sound card?
(I'm of the option that Vista blocks the installion of unsigned software)

The X-FI Titanium works perfectly with XP X64. Sad that I can't say the same for Windows [email protected]

  • Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series and Win 7 64Bit

Now that Win 7 SP is out, i am planning on moving over to the Win 7 64Bit OS.
Whats the best way to setup Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion Series card software setup.
Is there a DVD i could download or be sent for Win 7.
Whats the best way to proceed...
    Thanks

    OK I got it!!
I put in a Price Alert at the egg and got it for 09.00/with FREE shipping so I'm stoked!! it DOES have a yellow sticker on the box that says "works with Windows 7" so I guess this is all I need.
Are there ANY suggestions on how to go about installing this in Windows 7 64bit, I want the front panel to work and will use it for movies music and mostly gaming.
what about Windows 7 installing the card as a standard sound device at boot, is there a way to prevent this if not how is this fixed?
Should I use the newest beta drivers? or wait till I see if I have any problems with the sound not working?
what about the user made drivers I have seen around these forums, I know they are most likely not supported but how about functionality? would they be better?
    thanks for any suggestions.

  • WIN 7 32bit/ console luncher doesnt regonize my x-fi titanium bulk

anyone know how to solve this?

Upon formatting my system, I usually install the support pack first. First thing I run through the whole setup. My system usually sees my card as a high definition multimedia interface, almost as if it were the HDMI sound of my ATI video card. So I run the support pack, and afterwards I have an X-FI. Then I install the newest Creative driver, and then newest Console Launcher and then everything runs great. There was a version of the Console Launcher that would glitch upon making random selections but the newest one seems to work fine.
I have an X-Fi Titanium card with the Black I/O shield and this has worked great for me for the last six months under Vista and Windows 7.

Before installation of audio card all worked greatly but after i get a blu screen at shut down or at reboot (is the same).
I used the latest version of the drivers available on the web (2.7.0006).
I removed audio card and drivers and all works greatly, too.
I reinstalled audio card + drivers and blu screen at shut down/reboot appears again.
    Anyone knows the solution.
Audio card works correctly but with this blue screen ?the creative console don't save any settings, so every time
i turn on the pc i have to configure it (effect, mixer, number of speakers, mic amplifiers, etc. etc.).

The above just fixed my AutoUpdate for X-FI Titanium.
    or this way:
    http://ccftp.creative.com/manualdn/Drivers/AVP/222/0x9F697C65/PID_W7PCAPP_US_2__0.exe
I have struggled with this ever since my ATI graphics driver installation.
    Good job Creative.

? Yes agree, but it doesn't work, so any new driver is not as urgent, Explaing why this identifcation software works for some Win 7 users and doesn't for othersr is what I want to know. Is it down to each users chipsets?
That is all I can suspect with my Dell XPS 730, as Del XPS 730x users have no problems as they have a Intel Chipset, where as I have a Nforce one. And it appears to be up to date with it drivers.
I did a fresh install of Win 7 to ensure no other Creative software was on driver, and what it found is now two High defination Audio devices,( interesting it did that as I don't have any other High Def Audio device installed or enabled from Bios) ?and the identifction update still doesn't help Win 7 find? sound card.
Although I think I read something on Daniel K's posts about the two High Def thing, so maybe I am onto something now.
    we'll see.
    Cheers

So back on win7 i installed drivers as before and it lets me from disk but when it comes to driver update it says no craeti've products detected or something very simlar. i get same erro if i try and install the beta driver.
Squall thanks for the suggestion but that also didnt help, i do remember though i had been benhmarking the afternoon it died?and had increased my ioh voltage to .25v which isnt much.
I thought at first id damaged one of my pcie slots but i checked my gpus in all 7 pcie slots and they work fine.
Looking at the net i see that there are lots of other people running into this error and not just with sound card but usb devices and such, so it gives me hope that the cards not bad.

    Hi,
It could be a case of a corrupt installation which could be causing the crash.
Could you please follow, ʇɐb ɹəuəllıʍ suggestion, and uninstall the current installation of Adobe Reader 10.1.2 and restart if prompted for.
Try and install Reader 10.1.0 again (from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/zh_CN/AdbeRdr1010_zh_CN.msi).
Now update the same to 10.1.2 using the installer from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.2/misc/AdbeRdr1012.msp
Try and launch Adobe Reader post the successful installation.
Do ensure not to launch the application during the updating process.
    Hopefully this should fix things.
    Thanks

  • S410p not have SecureBoot in Bios - win 8.1 watermark problem

i can't find secureboot in bios, why?

It looks like PCI-E driver causes the problem. If I delete the PCI-E root port, Windows restarts, installs drivers again, and I have WIFI until next restart (so the problem is, that Win8 cannot turn on wireless). I think, that if I can find a driver for this AMD RS880M chipset, it can solve my problem. But I cannot find anywhere, so I cannot test it.
So, when Win 8 shuts down, it turns off wireless, am I right? So the other way could be a simple setting to disable the Win8 to turn off the WIFI (and bluetotth, because I have the same problem with it, but I don't care about BT).
Can anybody help me where can I find a driver (AMD autoupdate couldn't help me, either Lenovo System Update), or where can I disable WIFI's turning off (in BIOS it's always on, and in Windows's power management too)?
    Thanks!
